In this intimate episode, she reads Mark Twain's The War Prayer, a searing and ironic satire written during America's imperial turn but withheld during Twain's lifetime for fear it would be “not publishable.” Twain was Vice President of the Anti-Imperialist League (1901), opposing U.S. intervention in the Philippines. Y colgadas de ese exabrupto festejaron las futbolistas del Deportivo el regreso a la máxima categoría del fútbol, acompañadas en todo momento de los suyos y las suyas, a pie de calle, sirviéndose del mismo grifo de cerveza que tú, botando a tu lado y con una naturalidad tan pasmosa que al pollaviejismo le devuelven los recuerdos del pelo largo y de la parafernalia corta. La afición festejó y respetó, pero incluso los más calmados sueñan a estas horas ya con, si se les fuese concedida la oportunidad, besar tan fuerte en los labios a Yeremay como para succionarle el aparato dental o abrazar a Davo, ¡a Davo!, como hace años que no abrazan a sus madres si se les permitiese la dicha de festejar una nueva gloria del Deportivo de aquí a unas pocas fechas. Este es nuestro primer episodio donde tenemos un representante de Comisión Deportiva, quien es la autoridad dentro de La Charreria en el tema del manejo y cuidado del ganado bovino y equino. Esta autoridad técnica se especializa en revisar que tanto el ganado vacuno como el caballar sea apropiado en tamaño, peso y condición a lo establecido en el reglamento charro de la Federación Mexicana de Charrería y en la convocatoria correspondiente, dependiendo del torneo charro y su comité organizador. Ramon Ibarria, mejor conocido como "Peke" en el mundo charro, es uno de varios invidious que ejerce el labor del titulo de Comisión Deportiva. De antemano, "Peke" nos comparte su trayectoria charro y como su señor padre fue parte de un grupo de charros que dieron inicio a La Charreria en Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. Fernando Mora, quien fue nuestro invitado el episodio #23 regresa para platicar con su ahora coequipero, Ramon Ibarria, en el equipo de Las Delicias de Denver, Colorado, USA. Ambos son charros de gran categoría y experiencia en particular en las suertes de soga como piales, terna y ambas manganas a pie y a caballo. Platicamos una diversidad de temas incluyendo tips para trabajar un toro en la terna y como manganear.

Both Pekingese and Maltese are referred to as “lion dogs.” Aristotle called the elegant Maltese perfectly proportioned. In 1926, Roswell Eldridge Esquire offered a hefty purse to breeders who could replicate toy Spaniels of King Charles' time. In the 1500s, Dutch traders smuggled Pugs out of China where they would become mascots in Holland's House of Orange.   Featured Breeds: Pekingese Pekingese are compact, stocky toy dogs weighing up to 14 pounds. The coat is longest at the neck and shoulders, giving Pekes their famous “lion's mane.” Coats come in various reds, from golden red to darker shades. The large, short-muzzled head is a wider-than-long, envelope-shaped rectangle, and the eyes are large, dark, and sparkly. A unique feature of Pekes is their effortless “rolling” gait. Pekes are charming, confident companions who develop a tight bond with their favorite human. Bred to live in palaces, they can be as serenely independent as the emperors who owned them. (They're “opinionated,” Peke people say.) Ever alert, they make good watchdogs. Pekes will tolerate kids but won't stand for a lot of roughhousing. Lähemalt räägivad kaks teadjat veinimeistrit, Tiina Kuuler Valgejõe Veinivilla ja Peke Eloranta Muhu Veinitalust. “Kuidas teenida väike varandus veiniga? Eesti ühes oma 11 hektari veiniviinamarjadega kuulub nüüd põhjapoolseimasse viinamarjakasvatusvööndisse ja peab hakkama järgima sellega kaasnevaid regulatsioone. Need puudutavad nii tehnoloogiaid kui ka marju, mida kasvatada võib. Regent, Rondo, Solaris – need on vaid mõned marjasordid, mis tasub meelde jätta ka neil, kes seni kodumaiste viinamarjaveinidega kokku pole puutunud. Üldjoontes kuuluvad lubatud marjade hulka Vitis Vinifera hübriidid. Mida see täpsemalt tähendab, räägivad Peke ja Tiina saates lähemalt. Peamine küsimus on Eesti puhul aga ikka ja alati kliimas. Paljud tuntud viinamarjasordid ei jää siin kas ellu või ei küpse välja. Nii tuleb valida hoolsalt, mida ja kus kasvatada. Kui suur on lootus, et hakkame nägema kodumaiseid superveine?
