1 John 2:27 // As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him. We carry and cultivate the anointing. How much of the presence of God do I carry in my life? Do we lean on our ability or His? Exodus 28:2 // Make sacred garments for your brother Aaron to give him dignity and honor. Dignity and Honor are things you put on. Exodus 28:36-37 // Make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it as on a seal: HOLY TO THE LORD. Fasten a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban; it is to be on the front of the turban. The first thing the priest put on was a gold turban – a crown with a huge gold plate on it written “Set apart holy unto the Lord” 1. The Crown of Holiness over my Mind. Integrity 3 TYPES OF MAN: Natural man – one without God Spiritual man – thinks about God Carnal man – mixture between the two “Holy to the Lord” My thoughts have to be holy To make a difference, we have to be different. Exodus 28:29-30 // Whenever Aaron enters the Holy Place, he will bear the names of the sons of Israel over his heart on the breastpiece of decision as a continuing memorial before the LORD. 2. The Breastpiece of Relationships over my Heart. You are where you are because of the people in your life We must have a pure heart to carry the anointing Few things affect the anointing in my life more than my feelings about other people. Who do you need to forgive? Exodus 28:39 // Weave the tunic of fine linen and make the turban of fine linen. Breathes 3. The Undergarment of Rest over my Life. Sabbath Exodus 28:31, 33-35 // Make the robe of the ephod entirely of blue cloth… Make pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn around the hem of the robe, with gold bells between them. The gold bells and the pomegranates are to alternate around the hem of the robe. Aaron must wear it when he ministers. The sound of the bells will be heard when he enters the Holy Place before the Lord and when he comes out. 4. The Garment of Praise in my Spirit. Isaiah 61:1-3 // The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. The key to joy is gratitude. Psalm 100:4 // Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

In this Bible Study, we look closely at God's instructions for the creation of the High Priest's garments, the outfit that Aaron (the first Jewish High Priest) would have worn. We look at every element, including the undergarments, the tunic, the robe, and the ephod (what is an Ephod???) We also look at the two shoulder pieces, the breast piece, the sash, and the turban (with the gold engraved plate). What are the urim and thummim and how would the High Priest have used those to discern God's decrees? All this and more we discuss as we study Exodus 28. Outline: 01:13- introduction 01:31 - Aaron and the Levitical priesthood (the Aaronic Priesthood). Genesis 34, Genesis 49.5-7, Exodus 32.26-29, John 15.16 and Leviticus 10. 02:11 - Who was Levi? 06:29 - Who were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar? 06:57 - What was the responsibility of the high priest? The South Florida fitness community is one rich with entrepreneurs, enthusiasts and go getters. I met Dan Baird through mutual friends and after having a great conversation over the phone, I invited him to jump on the podcast. Dan is the co-creator of NADS underwear which is a Certified organic non-GMO cotton created underwear product that gives your package a clean, comfortable, and healthy home and reduces harsh chemical exposure to your reproductive parts. In speaking with Dan he shared his story about living a clean and healthy lifestyle but noticed that his testosterone was significantly low for a man of his age. It propelled him into learning more about all aspects of health and how the current clothes we wear are made with harsh chemicals, dyes, plastics and more. What was even more concerning was that most athleisure wear and his day to day clothes were the most harmful and possibly contributing to his low T. His research found that male testosterone levels have dropped significantly over the last 3-5 decades. Testosterone levels are detrimentally low amongst men of all ages. Dan and his friend begun the journey of creating a better for you underwear that promises to provide their customers with the healthiest underwear possible. At NADS they will always design and create products with one main focus above all else: Health. Please enjoy the show and give their products a try. I have switched over to NADS for my day to day and while I'm sure it takes time to notices any difference I can promise you my nads have never been in a better environment. You can check out their site at www.nadsunder.com and if you have any questions you can reach Dan on his insta @dan.baird1. We hope you enjoy the show and for the love of all things good please save your nads.

Fashion historian and author, Dr. Elizabeth L. Block returns to The Gilded Gentleman for a truly "undercover" investigation. This time, Liz joins Carl to discuss the world of corsets, bustles, straps and stockings, all of which comprised the undergarment engineering that helped make the glorious gowns by Worth and other designers appear as glamorous as they did. In addition to the architecture and the food, it is the fashion of the Gilded Age that always elicits comments and sighs at the very beauty and craftsmanship of the great gowns that swept by on ballroom floors. But the stunning and costly gowns, whether for a ball or for wear during the day, required a complex combination of undergarments to not only make the wearer feel comfortable, but also to give the outer clothing its required shape. Dr. Elizabeth Block joins Carl for a discussion that includes insight into not only what garments were required, but also just how they were made and how they were worn. You may be surprised at just how comfortable and wearable some undergarments actually were. Liz and Carl's discussion includes a look at such curious accessories as the "lobster bustle" and even a corset for men. Journalist/Supermom, Maura Gallucci and Filmmaker/Author Steve Stockman join Andrew & I… News stuff will come up of course, but if we talk about our lives and what's important to us each, I think that makes it interesting. I acknowledge my treatments. I've been using my forced laziness to sit and talk with more friends than ever before. Side effects are not terrible, but it's good to be near a couch and a bathroom. I'm reading a book about Jesus. How did that happen? It has to do with Women's Undergarments. I feel guilty about the small things I'm buying on Amazon. Not the big stuff. The little stuff. And I was sent a graphic. It could be the training manual for FOX. But let's not dwell on politics too much. It's kind of a “how to spot dishonest conversation” guide. Getting the right ingredients when cooking or baking is pertinent in a successful recipe. Building an outfit is no different. When you get dressed every day, you should be wearing the correct-fitting undergarments to support your outfit. #please Join us on this episode as Your Favorite Personal Stylist, Holly Katz, outlines the “Top Undergarments You Need to Own!” Listen Now Here: https://apple.co/2XXKHfC When you are deciding what to wear, choosing the correct undergarments can make or break how you feel about yourself in your clothes. That's what your clothes should be doing for you: serving you and making you look your best. Because when you look your best, you feel your best. #trademark! Backstory: When Holly is working with clients to help solve their closet chaos, her rule #1 is: “The older and out of date your undergarments are, the more unsexy and unflattering you feel.” So, to rectify this problem, you need to take inventory every year or so, and clean out your underwear drawer. You know which underwear and bras make you feel the best. So, keep those (as long as they are in good condition) - and get rid of the rest. HOT TIP: Follow along on Holly's PINTEREST Board for all these amazing suggestion and where to buy them at https://pin.it/3Yh0nsd THE TOP UNDERGARMENTS YOU NEED TO OWN: Seamless Underwear Correct-Fitting Bras Boob Tape, Nipple Covers and Backless Bras Shapewear Bottoms Shapewear Tops THE WEAR AND CARE OF YOUR UNDERGARMENTS: Underwear, of course, you wash after every wearing (which means you replace more often, too). Bras can be worn many days in a row before washing is necessary – because you don't work out in your regular bras. (Sports bras, you wash). Shapewear can be worn more than once, as well, as long as the support stays strong. The key to laundry care is to not be overly aggressive in your washing machine cycles or with detergents. AND, you never put undergarments in the dryer. Heat breaks down the stretchy fibers you need for support. Also, do not hang your bras to dry by the straps (again, all the stretch is there). Just lie flat to dry. HOW MUCH TO SPEND ON UNDERGARMENTS: Holly has a tried-and-true formula: CPW which is the ‘Cost Per Wear' that she swears by. If you are going to wear an item 100 times, is $100 too much to spend? You do the math that makes the most sense to you, but that is not expensive when you consider the CPW. The adage of ‘you get what you pay for' really makes sense when you spend money on workhorse items like supportive undergarments. HAVE YOUR ARSENAL READY! Take the time to get professionally fitted for bras of all sorts, try on shapewear items and purchase the ones that solve your support issues best, and try boob tape and nipples covers to see what works best for you. #likedoitnow Then, when you have an occasion or a new outfit, you will be ready to go with the strong foundations you need to look and feel your best. You won't be scrambling at the last minute. This is key to having a succeful wardrobe. WE INTERUPT THIS PODCAST FOR A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT! Jamie Mizrahi is a stylist for some of today's most iconic women - Adele, Riley Keough, Katy Perry, Nicole Richie, Eva Mendes and Britney Spears. What I love about Jamie is how a he works to make sure her girls' look like themselves, rather than have some “signature look” that she applies to everyone. There's a nonchalance about what she does - there's no giant team, no fancy office, no team of chaotic assistants running around. She is putting together looks for press tours, concerts and the Met Gala with elegance and ease - and you can see her clients feel that way. We discuss how she became a stylist, her process, founding Kit Undergarments and much more. Please note that this episode may contain paid endorsements and advertisements for products and services. Originally from Texas, Crystal Sneden (she/her) came to NYC to perform and study dance and she just needed a job, which is how she got into lingerie. She's been working in the luxury lingerie retail market for 15+ years now from sales to management. She spends about 80% of her time working in lingerie. She is also currently studying contract law. Cat and Crystal discuss lingerie and how it differs from functional underwear based on how it makes us feel. Lingerie is a personal expression that evokes emotions while underwear provides form and function. Crystal shares her own experiences with bra fitting. In this episode, we discuss the following: What is Lingerie? Who is lingerie for? Undergarments for all genders Soft vs. hard undergarments Lingerie, its perception, and what it evokes in us Vulnerability and body image Creating a safe space for exploration with her clientele You can find Crystal here: @fulltimelingerie Please support Crystal's foundation of choice, Every Mother Counts. They work to achieve quality, respectful, and equitable maternity care for all by giving grants and working with partners and thought leaders to increase awareness and mobilize communities to take action.
Listen to this week's episode as my sister in law, Torrie Taylor shares a hilarious story of an embarrassing experience in youth group, as well as an emotional conversation between us. I am sure it will bless you.
Sara Blakely is a self-made billionaire. She's the founder and creator of Spanx. I interviewed her in January 2017 - over 800 episodes ago! - but all of her advice (learned directly from DOING) is still impacting me today. I had to re-listen. And I hope you do too...Some people are inspirations for life. Sara is one of those people.Sara Blakely is weird. I wish I could think the way she does. I want to be weird like her.“I look at any object and try to think of any use it has other than what people had planned for it.”And then she acts on it. She sees a pair of pantyhose, cuts off the feet (why not?), and creates a multi-billion dollar company, Spanx. She sees her 9-month pregnant belly and paints a basketball on it. And then inspires hundreds of other women to do the same. Creates a book out of it, The Belly Art Project, and donates the proceeds to charity.“All my life I was taught how to deal with failure,” she told me. “My dad would ask us at the dinner table every night: how did you fail today?” HOW DID YOU FAIL TODAY?She got comfortable with failure at an age when every other kid wants to get an A+ at everything. She got comfortable embarrassing herself. For two years she tried to be a standup comedian. “I wasn't very good at it.” Practice embarrassing yourself…Ready. Fire. Aim.She got a huge order from Nieman Marcus even though she didn't have the inventory or the production ready. She said, “YES!”. Then she figured out how to get the order filled.Oprah listed Spanx as one of her “favorite things” of 2000. Oprah wanted to film her office. Sara had no office. She said, “YES!”. Then she got an office and filled it up with people.Say YES! Then make things happen. Don't argue yourself into failure.Excuses are easy. Saying “yes” and then executing is hard. Get your thinking time.“It takes me five minutes to drive to work,” she told me. “But I take 45 minutes. I use that time to think.”It's important to think. To be creative every day. This is how she comes up with non-stop ideas to expand her brand, expand her products, and work on other projects.I suspect this is the secret to how she always sees things differently. Being creative is a practice. It's not lightning from above. It's taking the long route when you could've taken the short route. Purpose = Infectious salesmanship. While I was talking to Sara she used the word “empower” several times.Spanx clothes give women more confidence. Empowers women. The Belly Art Project empowers pregnant women. It seems like there are three parts to a project that leads to mastering salesmanship. The higher purpose for it. This gets people excited. The actual product and its benefits.ExecutionCombine all three and people will get infected with your passion for your ideas. Sara was unstoppable. Don't volley.Don't engage with the people who want to argue with you. That's time wasted when you can be creative. Don't invite ego in the door.Once you've worked on your project, have passion for it, and started it, be willing to take suggestions and listen to people.Ego can kill a project and close the door on good opportunities. Be aware of your mortality.Sara was selling fax machines for five years before fully launching Spanx. She could still be selling them if she never started. If she listened to all the people who tried to dissuade her.If she became afraid of the multi-billion dollar companies that could have easily squashed her. Except they didn't. She was one person and they were billions. But they lost.We are here only this precious small amount of time. Make every moment a work of art. Make every moment move you one step forward toward your dream and purpose.Invent a new undergarment even if you have never made clothes in your life.Get 100s of women to paint their pregnant bellies and then raise money for charity with the idea.“EVERYTHING IS A CANVAS,” she told me.Which makes everyone a potential artist. What a great way to look at life. But I can't!Why not?For anything you want to do, for anything that excites you, take the time to figure out the next step. Ready. Fire. Aim.Just why not? Why not? Purfled: Ahort of breath, especially when too lusty. Puckfyst: Thirsty. The puckfyst is a `dried toadstool. Hence, "I feels puckfyst" means I feel as dry as a dried toadstool. Gyles' poem this week was 'Macavity: The Mystery Cat' by 'T. S. Eliot' Macavity's a Mystery Cat: he's called the Hidden Paw— For he's the master criminal who can defy the Law. He's the bafflement of Scotland Yard, the Flying Squad's despair: For when they reach the scene of crime—Macavity's not there! Macavity, Macavity, there's no one like Macavity, He's broken every human law, he breaks the law of gravity. His powers of levitation would make a fakir stare, And when you reach the scene of crime—Macavity's not there! You may seek him in the basement, you may look up in the air— But I tell you once and once again, Macavity's not there! Macavity's a ginger cat, he's very tall and thin; You would know him if you saw him, for his eyes are sunken in. His brow is deeply lined with thought, his head is highly domed; His coat is dusty from neglect, his whiskers are uncombed. He sways his head from side to side, with movements like a snake; And when you think he's half asleep, he's always wide awake. Macavity, Macavity, there's no one like Macavity, For he's a fiend in feline shape, a monster of depravity. You may meet him in a by-street, you may see him in the square— But when a crime's discovered, then Macavity's not there! He's outwardly respectable. (They say he cheats at cards.) And his footprints are not found in any file of Scotland Yard's. And when the larder's looted, or the jewel-case is rifled, Or when the milk is missing, or another Peke's been stifled, Or the greenhouse glass is broken, and the trellis past repair— Ay, there's the wonder of the thing! Macavity's not there! And when the Foreign Office find a Treaty's gone astray, Or the Admiralty lose some plans and drawings by the way, There may be a scrap of paper in the hall or on the stair— But it's useless to investigate—Macavity's not there! And when the loss has been disclosed, the Secret Service say: ‘It must have been Macavity!'—but he's a mile away. You'll be sure to find him resting, or a-licking of his thumbs; Or engaged in doing complicated long division sums. Macavity, Macavity, there's no one like Mac< Learn more about your ad choices. We chatted with Dr. Riley Jones from Med Global (MedGlobal.org) who has been assisting with getting needed medical supplies and assistance to Doctors and Nurses in Ukrainian hospitals. He recently identified a great need for warm undergarments for health professionals as hospitals there are losing power and the ability to generate heat during patient care.

Welcome to episode 127 of the Löw Tide Böyz - A Swiun Podcast! This week we have another installment in our Swimrun 101 series. In this edition, we are opening up the LTBz mailbag and answering the most recurring questions that we get in our emails and DMs. Enjoy! The LTBz MailbagAre wetsuits required at every Swimrun?Yup. As far as we know, every Swimrun requires a wetsuit. Swimskins won't cut it. Our best thinking on this is for safety reasons including maintaining your core body temperature and added buoyancy. You can learn more about Swimrun wetsuits on our Gear Talk episode “Wetsuit Suit Out.”You can also check out the gear guide on our website for all things Swimrun gear. What paddles should I use?If you've seen any Swimrun race content you'll notice that almost everyone is using swim paddles as part of their race kit. Using paddles helps compensate for the drag created by swimming with shoes on. They also make you faster. Our recommendation in choosing swim paddles are to make sure that you get the right size for you. Check out our Gear Talk episode all about swim paddles to learn more…from people smarter than us.Our favorite paddles are made by Frank Paddle. They are carbon fiber paddles that are super stiff and move a ton of water. You can check out our full review about these swim paddles on Gear Talk. What is the consensus on wearing underwear under your wetsuit?Like with anything Swimrun, you need to test it in practice to see what will work for you. That being said…Chris has converted a bunch of people to not wear underwear under wetsuits. Ladies typically wear a sports bra on top and/or pair it with a kangaroo top for extra storage. Check out our Gear Talk episode all about Swimrun undergarments.Should you use a pull buoy? And if so, what size? YES!!! The Swimrun pull buoy is an essential piece of kit that provides a ton of flotation to keep positioned properly in the water while counteracting the drag created by swimming with shoes on. The general rule of thumb that we follow when we advise people about what pull buoy size to get it to go with the largest that you can handle to get the most buoyancy possible. Check out our review of the pull buoy that we use: The Ark Sport Keel+.What shoes should I wear for swimrun? This is one of the most common questions that we get. While Swimrun-specific shoes do exist and are great, we recommend that you start by looking in your current stable of shoes for trail shoes that might work for Swimrun. Any shoe that has good lugs on the bottom and drains water well are good choices. Like with anything Swimrun, testing in practice is key. Check out our deep dive into all things Swimrun shoes on Gear Talk.Addressing the myth of blistered feet from running in wet shoes. So the myth usually goes something like this: you get blisters from running with wet socks. This has not been our experience. If you use thin, synthetic fiber socks, you are unlikely to get blisters if your shoes fit properly. Ill-fitting shoes are more likely to cause blisters than Swimrunning. We address Swimrun socks on our Undergarments episode and on our Swimrun Gear Guide. What to do if you can't swim without earplugs? For some folks, swimming without earplugs can lead to headaches, disorientation, and experience less fun in open water. Wearing ear plugs solves these problems but in Swimrun this solution is problematic because of the need to communicate with your partner during the race. We highly recommend Surf Ears which block water out but allow sounds to go in. They also have a lanyard and mini arms to keep the ear plugs in place. How do I find a partner? The age old question. We've answered this question in a couple of previous Swimrun 101 shows all the way back on Episode 4 and again on Episode 111. If you don't want to listen to those shows, our recommendations for finding a partner are basically to look to folks in your training group or pool and see if anyone is up for the adventure and make sure that whomever you partner with has similar goals.Where can someone find/borrow used Swimrun gear?We love getting this question because we want everyone to be able to find Swimrun gear so that they can get out there and try the sport. In that spirit, we created the Swimrun Swap Meet on FB so folks could sell/buy/trade Swimrun gear. That's it for this week's show. Women who want to appear to be men now can buy “compression tops” at Target to hide their breasts. Starbucks, among other companies, will pay travel costs for employees to have an abortion if they live in a state that restricts the procedure. And Disney says it's outraged that kindergarteners can't be taught gender ideology in Florida public schools. Some of America's biggest businesses increasingly are embracing far-left ideology, and that may be affecting consumers' opinions about those businesses. “The share of Americans with a favorable impression of Disney has collapsed from 77% last year to just 33% today,” Christopher Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and contributing editor at City Journal, reports. The streaming service Netflix, for one, may have noticed Disney's falling star. Netflix recently released a memo to employees stressing the company's commitment to a diversity of views and opinions in its content. “As employees we support the principle that Netflix offers a diversity of stories, even if we find some titles counter to our own personal values,” the memo reads. “Depending on your role, you may need to work on titles you perceive to be harmful. If you'd find it hard to support our content breadth, Netflix may not be the best place for you.”On today's edition of the “Problematic Women” podcast, we discuss why some Americans are likely weary of the left's radical agenda infiltrating America's businesses. We also share what we saw at the recent pro-abortion women's march in D.C. And as always, we crown our Problematic Woman of the Week. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
