Magneton is here and somehow far more terrible than we could have imagined! Follow along with the entries below:Red & Blue: Formed by several MAGNEMITEs linked together. They frequently appear when sunspots flare up.Yellow: Generates strange radio signals. It raises the temperature by 3.6F degrees within 3,300 feet.Gold: Three MAGNEMITE are linked by a strong magnetic force. Earaches will occur if you get too close.Silver: The MAGNEMITE are united by a magnetism so powerful, it dries all moisture in its vicinities.Crystal: When many MAGNETON gather together, the resulting magnetic storm disrupts radio waves.Ruby: MAGNETON emits a powerful magnetic force that is fatal to mechanical devices. As a result, large cities sound sirens to warn citizens of large-scale outbreaks of this POKéMON.Sapphire: MAGNETON emits a powerful magnetic force that is fatal to electronics and precision instruments. Because of this, it is said that some towns warn people to keep this POKéMON inside a POKé BALL.FireRed: A linked cluster formed of several MAGNEMITE. It discharges powerful magnetic waves at high voltage.Diamond & Pearl: It is actually three MAGNEMITE linked by magnetism. A group can set off a magnetic storm.Platinum: Many mysteriously appear when more sunspots dot the sun. They stop TV sets from displaying properly.Black & White 2: The stronger electromagnetic waves from the three linked Magnemite are enough to dry out surrounding moisture.Sun: When three Magnemite link together, their brains also become one. They do not become three times more intelligent.Moon: It has about three times the electrical power of Magnemite. For some reason, outbreaks of this Pokémon happen when lots of sunspots appear.Ultra Sun: Delicate equipment can malfunction in areas inhabited by Magneton, which send out mysterious electrical signals.Ultra Moon: When rain clouds form, many Magneton gather in high places to wait for lightning to strike.Sword: This Pokémon is three Magnemite that have linked together. Magneton sends out powerful radio waves to study its surroundings.Shield: This Pokémon is constantly putting out a powerful magnetic force. Most computers go haywire when a Magneton approaches.Legends Arceus: Three Magnemite gathered to evolve into this Pokémon. The source of much vexation on my part, as its powerful magnetism destroys my research equipment.Pokemon Sleep: The three Magnemite are usually linked by a strong magnetic force. They have been spotted sleeping stuck together and drifting apart. Perhaps their magnetism is unstable during sleep.BTB: That's three Magnemite! Their mysterious powers combined present an imminent danger to modern society and surrounding life. Maybe an alien?Cover design by Kwesi PhillipsMusic by Junichi Masuda and Go IchinoseLeave us a tip at https://ko-fi.com/beyondtheball

Wellington Smithsmith & Drew England make landfall on the Armor of Isle—sorry, that is, the Isle of Armor. They're immediately accosted by a couple of escaped circus freaks, who inadvertently introduce them to the locals' warriors path. Along with several children who have seemingly never wielded a Poké Ball before, they must complete three trials in order to ultimately take on the island's defender, Master Mustard. (And, in Drew England's case, win the affections of Miss Honey.) But it doesn't end there. They must also fall in love with a kung-fu bear and then climb a couple of scary towers so that it can finally become its truest self, or something poetic like that. Plus! Even more Wild Area antics.
Welcome to the Primeape episode! In which we explore the differences between monkeys and apes, Pokemon and boxers, rage and serenity, and more. Follow along with the entries below: Red & Blue: Always furious and tenacious to boot. It will not abandon chasing its quarry until it is caught. Yellow: It stops being angry only when nobody else is around. To view this moment is very difficult. Gold: If approached while asleep, it may awaken and angrily give chase in a groggy state of semi-sleep. Silver: It becomes wildly furious if it even senses someone looking at it. It chases anyone that meets its glare. Crystal: It will beat up anyone who makes it mad, even if it has to chase them until the end of the world. Ruby & Sapphire: When PRIMEAPE becomes furious, its blood circulation is boosted. In turn, its muscles are made even stronger. However, it also becomes much less intelligent at the same time. FireRed: It is always outrageously furious. If it gives chase, it will tenaciously track the target no matter how far. Diamond, Pearl & Platinum: It grows angry if you see its eyes and gets angrier if you run. If you beat it, it gets even madder. Sun: It has been known to become so angry that it dies as a result. Its face looks peaceful in death, however. Moon: Some researchers theorize that Primeape remains angry even when inside a Poké Ball. Ultra Sun: It will never forgive opponents who have angered it. Even after it has beaten them down until they can't move, it never ever forgives. Ultra Moon: The blood vessels in its brain are sturdier than those of other Pokémon, so it can stay healthy despite its constant raging. Dark Primeape: Although Primeapes have always been mean, lately they seem to be becoming even more vicious and frenzied. BTB: If you anger it, and you will, just play dead and take it because if you make it even angrier it might die. Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob's one hundredth lesson on Pokémon biology. Wow! What an achievement! To celebrate, we are doing nothing special whatsoever. Today's lesson is all about Voltorb: the Ball Pokémon. Originally believed to just be an electric type, new research has uncovered an electric/grass variant from the ancient Hisui region, where it was called the Sphere Pokémon. And if you couldn't tell already, Voltorb is basically a Poké Ball with eyes. Now, which came first: the Poké Ball or the Voltorb? Researchers are still trying to figure that out. There's much more to learn about Voltorb, so take plenty of notes! And thank you, dear students, for listening to 100 lessons! Welcome to the World of Pokémon is part of the Poke Casters Network.

Part 2 of an Interview with CEO and Co-Founder of The Wand Company takes you to where no one has gone before in a podcast. Chris Barnardo is witty, fun to chat with and offers up fantastic insights into the modern world of specialized manufacturing. His career spans 3 and a half decades and is filled with stories that will amaze you and make you laugh at the same time. Join us as he shares his journeys through a myriad of challenges in the quest to make some of the finest prop replicas ever made for fans of Pokémon, Fallout, Harry Potter, Dr Who, and my personal favorite, Star Trek. Chris started out as a designer, but went back to college in his thirties to gain an engineering degree. In 1994 he went to work at Cambridge Consultants where he became a named inventor on over 25 patents, and secured £4M in venture capital funding to commercialize his invention of a thick-film, flexible electroluminescent display. In 2005 Chris launched the popular single parents' website Dadcando.com which provided guidance and support to single dads (and mums). In 2008 he designed and created the Plop Trumps card game (Firebox.com's number one selling product that Christmas), which has gone on to sell over half a million packs in the UK alone. In 2009 Chris founded The Wand Company (thewandcompany.com) with Richard Blakesley. The following year, the pair took The Wand Company into the British TV show Dragons' Den (Shark Tank, US) where their pitch for the ‘Kymera Wand' – the world's first motion-sensitive, button-less, universal remote control, attracted record investment offers from all the Dragon Investors. The Wand Company has since successfully launched, Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Doctor Who universal remote control Sonic Screwdrivers, their iconic Star Trek The Original Series Phaser and Bluetooth Communicator, a range of Fallout replicas and has most recently been working with Pokémon to bring the first accurate, premium Poké Ball replicas to market for Pokémon's 25th anniversary year which launched in February 2021. Chris is the author of three books, Made With Dad, Dadcando and Dragonolia, lives in Essex and has four children. Thanks for listening. Ever since I started doing this podcast, it has consistently proven to be one of the greatest joys in my life. I get to talk with intelligent, knowledgeable, and experienced folks about things that matter. And then, every once in awhile, I get to do an interview with someone who in addition to all of those things, is also just SO MUCH FUN. Kindred spirits that remind me I am not alone in this world. This is my first episode in which I got to talk with someone on a different continent than my own. He dreams about iconic objects, works out the engineering obstacles associated with them, and then brings some of the coolest things in the world (in my admittedly biased opinion) to life. This two part interview with Chris Barnardo, is filled with background on him personally as well as his professional journey. It's also filled with wonderful tributes to all of us in "Geekdom" who look to the worlds of Star Trek, Fallout, and Harry Potter (among others) to help us cope with and make sense of the world around us.Chris started out as a designer, but went back to college in his thirties to gain an engineering degree. When Sisko recruits Odo for a dangerous mission in Klingon Space, he'll have to try a whole new kind of shape shifting. But the all-night party at Gowron's HQ takes its toll, and the whole team struggles to remember their Klingon lessons. What's the flair minimum to work on Dukat's ship? How's Odo coping with all his new glands? How is Worf not a dead giveaway? It's the episode where we're off IPAs, and into a barrel of blood wine. We wanna be the very best and understand Pokémon, which is why we've invited Collin Willams, the Poké Professor onto our show -- and it's super effective! Collin begins at the basics of Pokémon (for Joel's sake), and then talks about how it went from a simple role-playing video game about pocket monsters to the augmented reality mobile app and worldwide phenomenon it has become. Along the way, we learn some tips and tricks about how to play Pokémon Go and we learn about how we're all geeks in one form or another. So yell "Baconsale, I choose you!" and fling your Poké Ball at your screen to get started...or just press play.
