The Rizzuto Show

The Rizzuto Show begins with everyone's favorite Midwest tradition: complaining about rain. The gang debates mysterious yard mushrooms, what they'd all be doing if radio disappeared tomorrow, and why Riz would somehow end up working behind Home Depot... for reasons you'll have to hear to believe. From there, homeowner panic officially kicks in. Strange furnace noises. Gurgling pipes. Scratching in the walls. Loud basement groans. Apparently owning a house is just paying thousands of dollars to discover new sounds you've never heard before. Rafe celebrates finally getting his HVAC fixed while simultaneously discovering that every appliance in his house has decided to unionize against him.Summer means pool season, which sparks a surprisingly heated debate about whether anyone actually showers before jumping into a public pool. Spoiler alert: nobody does. The conversation somehow gets even worse once Georgia beaches with elevated bacteria levels enter the discussion, because nothing says vacation quite like wondering exactly whose decisions you're swimming through. The crew also breaks down Fourth of July rankings, why St. Louis deserves more respect as a holiday destination, Celebrate St. Louis concerts, Kenny Loggins, Ludacris, fireworks, drone shows, and why everyone's dogs absolutely hate this time of year.Speaking of fireworks, the gang recaps another unforgettable night at Captain Jim's Fireworks, including adorable listeners, brutally honest kids, Woody impersonation mix-ups, ridiculously oversized fireworks, and one child who absolutely roasted Rafe without hesitation.Then... because this is somehow where the show naturally goes... there's an update on internet-famous Michael Phillips and his campaign to fund surgery for his medically diagnosed micropenis. Equal parts hilarious, awkward, sympathetic and wildly inappropriate, it's exactly the kind of conversation that somehow only this crew can have without completely losing the audience. And if that wasn't enough, there's also a follow-up involving someone attempting to smuggle an entire bottle of wine into jail in perhaps the most physically confusing way imaginable. It's another completely ridiculous ride filled with weird news, questionable life choices, homeowner nightmares, sarcastic commentary, and the kind of conversations that make you wonder how this group stays on the air.If you're looking for a daily comedy show full of pop culture commentary, ridiculous headlines, celebrity-adjacent weirdness, and friends roasting each other for nearly three hours, you've found it.Thanks for making this daily comedy show part of your day.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Soaked at Epcot: Why a Rainy Day on the PeopleMover Became Our Favorite MemoryYou spend months planning a Disney trip. You think you have planned every detail, and you check the weather app like it's your job. But as every seasoned Disney fan knows, Central Florida has a mind of its own.Last month, I headed to Epcot with a few friends. The forecast called for "scattered showers," which in Disney terms usually means "it's going to pour for thirty minutes, then get really humid." But it ended up being one of the most memorable days we've ever had—all thanks to a sudden downpour. We were walking through the World Showcase, debating where to go next. Within minutes, the Central Florida humidity broke, and the skies opened up.We weren't prepared. We didn't have ponchos. Our shoes were instantly soaked. Most people started sprinting toward the resort buses and the Monorail, abandoning their plans. But we looked at each other, dripping wet, and decided to lean into the chaos. We made a mad dash—not to the exit, but toward the park train. We figured that if we were going to be wet, we might as well be on a ride.We ended up hopping on the PeopleMover. If you've never experienced this ride during a torrential downpour, you are missing out on a top-tier Disney life hack. As the ride lifted us up and whisked us through the dark, quiet tunnels of Tomorrowland, the rain hammered against the roof of our carriage. It was loud, cozy, and completely surreal.Looking out over the park from the elevated track, the rain gave the park a shiny, cinematic glow. The neon lights of the Tomorrowland sign reflected off the puddles, and there was an eerie silence in the air that you just don't get on a sunny afternoon. Why the Rain Made It Better? We spent the next thirty minutes laughing until our sides hurt. We were shivering, our clothes were a mess, and we were officially done with "perfect" photos for the day. But that was the magic of it.When you're at Disney, there's this pressure to maximize every minute, to hit every ride, and to follow the schedule. When the rain hit, that pressure evaporated. We weren't worried about our next Lightning Lane or where to stand for the fireworks. We were just four friends, huddled together on a moving track, enjoying a moment of unplanned joy.If you find yourself caught in a sudden Florida storm, don't do what everyone else does—don't rush to the exit. Here is how to make the most of it:Embrace the Poncho : Grab a cheap poncho at the gift shop if you must, but don't let it ruin your outfit.Head for Indoor Attractions: Rides with long, indoor queues or dark rides (like The Seas with Nemo & Friends or Spaceship Earth) are your best friends during a storm. The "PeopleMover Strategy": If you're at Magic Kingdom, the PeopleMover is the ultimate rainy-day sanctuary. It's covered, it's relaxing, and it offers the best view of the storm-drenched park.Find a Table: Grab a coffee or a cocktail at an indoor lounge and wait it out. Some of our best conversations happened while huddled under umbrellas at a quick-service spot. The TakeawayThe irony of a Disney trip is that the things you plan for usually end up being a blur, but the things that go "wrong" become the stories you tell for years. Our soaked Epcot trip reminded us that Disney isn't just about the rides—it's about the people you're with. So, next time you see those dark clouds rolling in over the Geodesic Sphere, don't run for cover. Put your phone away, embrace the rain, and jump on the next ride you see. You might just have the best time of your life.

While Trevin and Amanda recover from CrimeCon, our friend Shea from Rainy Day Rabbit Holes stops by to tell us a tale that just might involve an alien encounter. But first, the crew shares what's chapping their asses this week. Shea's husband has terrible dishwasher etiquette and continues wasting valuable dish space. Trevin can't figure out why restaurants stopped using drive-thru speakers in favor of sending employees outside into the summer heat. And Amanda has found herself haunted by the same cheesy reality-TV soundtrack song across multiple different shows. Then, Shea welcomes us to the Summer of Saucers with one of the strangest UFO stories ever reported. In 1961, a Wisconsin plumber claimed a flying saucer landed in his driveway. The occupants didn't abduct him, probe him, or deliver a warning for humanity. They asked for water... and gave him pancakes. Was it a hoax? A hallucination? Or was Joe Simonton really standing in his driveway holding extraterrestrial breakfast food? Take a break from the heavy and get petty... and possibly intergalactic. I've spent a lot of time thinking about what the word "self-assured" actually means in the context of motherhood. And I think somewhere along the way, a lot of us accidentally absorbed this idea that being self-assured means being self-sufficient — that if we were really emotionally healthy or mature or confident, we would just… handle everything on our own. But what I observed at my SAM Retreat last month completely reframed that for me. The women who seemed most grounded and alive and resilient weren't the ones who never needed support. They were the ones who knew how to seek it, receive it, and offer it to others. In this episode, I'm sharing three takeaways from the retreat, and I hope you walk away feeling more convinced than ever that thriving in motherhood was never meant to be a solo endeavor.

A five-day storm isn't one bad week. It's three different revenue moments, and your text club is built for all of them. Most car wash operators brace for rainy weeks and watch their numbers tank. The operators consistently turning bad weather into record days have figured out that a storm isn't a single event. It's a cycle with three distinct phases, and each phase opens a different door for your text club. In this episode, Josh Taylor walks through the exact plays, including the one his friend CJ ran that broke an all-time wash record twice in two days on $400 of inventory.WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:- Why most operators are working the wrong end of the funnel when bad weather hits- The three moments in every storm cycle and which text club play fits each one- How CJ broke his wash record by 300 cars two days in a row with a single text and $400 in faucet covers- Why "first month for $9" needs the storm itself as the deadline, not an arbitrary date- The "feel smart vs feel good" emotional difference that makes cause days work- When to run all three plays in one storm cycle (and when not to)FREE DOWNLOAD: The Rainy Day PlaybookGet every message template, the full timing sequence for each play, and the TCPA compliance reminder in one PDF.https://FiveFunnelsToFreedom.com/rainydaysWORK WITH OPTSPOT:If you're a car wash operator and want to look at your specific site with our team, book a walkthrough.https://OptSpot.comFREE COURSE: Five Funnels to FreedomThe full architecture we run for car wash operators across acquisition, conversion, and retention.https://FiveFunnelsToFreedom.com

It's raining again in St. Louis, morale is low, and somehow that immediately leads the show into a heated discussion about wiffle ball bats, sewer water, and whether today's kids even understand the sacred responsibility of yelling “CAR!” during a neighborhood street game.Welcome back to another completely normal episode of The Rizzuto Show — your favorite daily comedy show where literally any topic can spiral into a debate about Costco theft, fake Middle Eastern royalty scams, and frozen-time criminal activity. This episode starts with weather complaints because apparently Missouri is now legally classified as “Sog City USA.” Then things get personal when Rizz reveals his own children saw the comments online after his now-infamous baby deer rescue story… and proceeded to roast him harder than the listeners did. Nothing says family love like your son publicly commenting “I'm disappointed in my dad” on Instagram. The crew also breaks down the latest “Best Places To Live” rankings around the St. Louis area, with St. Peter's, O'Fallon, St. Charles, and Florissant all making appearances. Naturally, this evolves into a deeply nostalgic conversation about growing up in the suburbs during the golden era of neighborhood sports. Wiffle ball. Roller hockey. Ghost runners. Tennis balls soaked in sewer juice. Homemade rules that made absolutely no sense. If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, this episode is basically a memory grenade. Then comes the hypothetical question that derails the entire room:“If you could freeze time… would you commit crimes?”And buddy… these answers escalate FAST.Rizz immediately starts plotting casino robberies, ATM thefts, Costco raids, and highway-speed experiments that would absolutely end with him stealing a Lamborghini. Moon wants unrestricted access to Area 51. Lern becomes a chaotic vigilante helping humanity one paused-time intervention at a time. And Rafe somehow invents an entire frozen-time prank universe involving Sharpies, salad tongs, and public humiliation that we legally cannot explain further here.Because this is a daily comedy show, the conversation somehow gets even weirder when the gang discusses two fake “Middle Eastern princes” who scammed investors out of $21 million while pretending to be royalty in Cleveland. Cleveland being the perfect place for a fake billionaire scheme somehow becomes the least ridiculous thing discussed all morning.Later, the crew dives into the world of dumpster diving side hustles, including college move-out season treasure hunting, curbside furniture discoveries, weird mannequin heads found in Tokyo dumpsters, and Moon accidentally giving away a valuable vintage chair because apparently nobody checked Google first. This episode has:St. Louis nostalgiaFamily dramaChildhood sports storiesWeird newsDumpster-diving economicsCelebrity-level scamsFrozen-time crimesCostco meat theft planningAnd enough sarcastic chaos to qualify as group therapyBasically: another flawless entry in the growing archive of “How Did This Conversation Get Here?” moments from The Rizzuto Show.If you love a funny podcast that sounds like your smartest and dumbest friends arguing at the same time, welcome home.Subscribe, follow, and come back tomorrow for more nonsense from your favorite daily comedy show.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Tony Sunshine opens up about his early childhood, including growing up in an abusive household and the difficult years when his mother was forced to enter the shelter system for stability for their family. He reflects on how those experiences shaped his mindset, his hustle, and his purpose. The conversation dives into the moment he discovered his voice at just five years old, singing a Menudo song at home, and how that spark led to a lifelong passion for music. Tony also addresses dropping out of school in the fifth grade and shares whether that decision impacted his journey in business and the music industry. From there, we get into his early rise, performing alongside legends like Eddie Santiago and Celia Cruz as a child, before eventually crossing paths with Fat Joe in the Bronx. Tony shares how that relationship changed his life, leading to major moments in hip-hop history, including collaborations with Big Pun and the creation of the iconic hit “100%.” We also explore deeper themes of loyalty, family, and survival, including Tony’s battle with addiction. In one of the most vulnerable parts of the interview, he reveals how he disappeared from the spotlight to detox on his own and ultimately fought his way back to health and clarity. Now at 49, Tony Sunshine is stepping into a new chapter. He talks about his latest collaboration with Lil Pump, representing Latino voices in hip-hop, and gives insight into his upcoming Spanish-language album featuring bachata, merengue, reggaeton, and more. This episode is a story of pain, perseverance, culture, and comeback. Tony Sunshine proves that no matter where you start, your voice can carry you through anything.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Today we're looking at the Government's Spring Economic Statement and asking a simple question: has the “rainy day” already arrived—and if so, is enough being done for the so-called squeezed middle? Ministers, led by Simon Harris and Jack Chambers, are warning of global uncertainty, rising energy costs linked to conflict in the Middle East, and even the risk of stagflation. Yet at the same time, the message from Government is that the economy will keep growing—and that budget surpluses remain essential to protect Ireland's finances. But with households and businesses already feeling the pressure, is that the right balance? To discuss this more, Alan Morrissey was joined by Bodyke Fine Gael Td Joe Cooney and Sinn Féin Cllr. Tommy Guilfoyle. Image © Money in a glass jar by Felicia Manolache's Images via Canva
