Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com Lurch and I test road the 2023 Road King Special and Breakout when we attended the Harley-Davidson 120th Anniversary celebration in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Harley hooked me up with the Breakout. I believe this is an underrated bike and wanted to review it. Lurch was given a Road King Special to ride. As he says in this episode, he needed A touring bike to haul my film gear. We review each bike and give our opinions of them. Hopefully, this information will help you if you are considering buying one of these bikes. See the specifications for both bikes below. Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com In this episode, we talk about the 2024 Harley-Davidson Police Road Glide. For years, law enforcement has used either the Electra Glide or the Road King. Earlier in the year I was lucky enough to see a prototype of the Road Glide Police model earlier in the year at the North American Motor Officers Association (NAMOA) training conference. In July, we attended the Harley-Davidson 120th Anniversary celebration in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where Harley announced the Road Glide will be available to law enforcement agencies in 2024. I tested the Road Glide Police model thoroughly on the NAMOA skills courses. I give you my honest review of the Road Glide as a police model. You can watch my review video of the 2024 Harley-Davidson Police Road Glide HERE. Biker Bobble Girl mentioned in this episode SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE NAMOA is a non-profit organization concerned with police motorcycle training in the Pacific Northwest. NAMOA promotes traffic safety through education and awareness to police motors and civilian riders; to lobby for motorcycle safety laws and police motor training; and provides police motor training officers, training programs, police motor selection processes, and general information for law enforcement agencies and law enforcement training academies. The annual NAMOA training conference brings together local businesses and related national industries with the community and motorcycle police officers throughout the Northwest and beyond. This was my first attempt at setting up a booth and podcasting live from an event. In the first part of the episode my daughter sits down with me and we chop it up about the bike night and some of the bikes in attendance. We had a beuatiful 2007 Road King parked in front of the booth and the owner, Pablo, sat down and chopped it up with my and my homie Josh. In the last part of the show Joe and the 1 Up Krew sit down with me and Josh and we talk about the bike night, how it started and what the plans are for the future of the local event. We have a few beers together and have a good time trying to identify the style of bike and type as they are leaving the bike night. Enjoy!

muf architecture/art designed a play street for people of all ages near Clissold Park, as part of the wider estate regeneration project.
Mitch Bolden's life was turned upside-down at age 27, when his doctors informed him that he was suffering from advanced-phase Leukemia; a deadly form of cancer that attacks blood cells and bone marrow. As the cancer slowly grew in Mitch's bones, his attention was on other things. He was focused on advancing in his career in criminal justice, and he was trying to salvage his struggling marriage. Everything changed in an instant when he discovered that he was literally in a fight for his life. I have noticed a trend with cancer survivors. They are funny, accepting, and wonderfully forgiving. When a person faces death's door, but doesn't walk through it, they gain a level of appreciation for the gift that is this day. They understand how lucky we are to get to take another breath. Mitch embodies that and more. He laughs at the ugly parts of life. He is unphased by stuff that would make others say eeewwwww or oooouch. He's much more than just a guy who beat Leukemia. He's a dad, a husband (newly wed), security expert, Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast who may or may not be affiliated with a motorcycle club that has awesome matching jackets, an ATV rider, and a pretty dang nice guy too. I had a lot of fun getting to know Mitch. He is so clearly ecstatic about the exciting things happening in his life right now. His joy shines through even when we discuss emotionally-weighty topics like cancer and divorce. He lets us be a part of his journey through adversity and we get to share in his triumph on the other side. We kept the tone fun and never got bogged down in the emotional mire. This is a happy podcast. I hope it makes you feel happy to hear it. Love, Jeff Guest Links:Mitch Bolden. Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com In this podcast episode, I explain what you need to know about the new 2021 Harley-Davidson model line-up. These were all revealed at Harley's first-ever global virtual launch event held online on January 19, 2021. I put a video out on our YouTube Channel shortly after the event. SEE VIDEO-The Real 2021 Harley Model Event-The Facts & Issues You Need to Know!! There are some issues I discovered, such as the new 2021 Harley touring models are coming with a cable clutch instead of a hydraulic clutch that has been on touring models since 2014. There were some recalls on the hydraulic clutch system over the years but it seemed to have been resolved. We really have no idea why Harley did this because these are supposed to be “premium motorcycles” and cable clutches are yesterday's technology. I think this is going to irritate many customers since other motorcycle companies are using hydraulic clutches. SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE And it seems at this time that you can no longer put current model aftermarket electronic fuel injection (EFI) tuners on your Harley. They seemed to have changed the data port, so the current tuners won't plug into the engine control module (ECM). I have no doubt though, that aftermarket EFI tuner companies are already working on a solution for this, so it will just be a matter of time. Until then, you can only use a Harley Screamin' Eagle (SE) EFI tuner but they are terrible and don't do much as far as tuning. Harley can use and sell the SE tuner because it is restricted and therefore EPA compliant. This is also likely the reason Harley had to make this overall data port change, to try and block aftermarket tuners that are not restricted. The new Harley CVO line-up will be the Street Glide, Road Glide, Limited, and Tri-Glide, which all have several paint options. They will be coming with the Milwaukee-Eight 117 ci. V-Twin engine. Harley partnered with Rockford Fosgate and the Street Glide CVO and Road Glide CVO will not come with the Harley Audio by Rockford Fosgate Stage 2 Audio system. The Limited and Tri-Glide will come with the standard Boom Audio Stage 1. CHECK OUT OUR HUNDREDS OF FREE HELPFUL VIDEOS ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND SUBSCRIBE! The Harley “special” series models will be the Street Glide, Road Glide, and Road King. Harley may have been listening to customers because you now have a black or chrome option on the Street Glide Special and Road Glide Special but not on the Road King Special. Many traditional chrome lovers were not happy that the special models only came in a blacked-out option over the past years. These special models will have the Milwaukee-Eight 114 ci. V-Twin engine. Also revealed were the Street Bob 114 and the iconic Fat Boy for 2021 and they both look great. Overall, the bikes and paint options look great on these 2021 Harley models and I'm excited to see them in person at some point. It's also worth noting that on February 22, 2021, Harley released their first adventure touring motorcycle, the Pan America. For more info, see my video and article below. Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com In this podcast, we explain the Harley-Davidson Reflex Defensive Rider System or "RDRS". This RDRS upgrade is a $995 option for the Harley touring line-up except for the Electra Glide Standard. Within this RDRS system are 6 components. Understand, that Harley has had a reflex linked braking system and anti-lock brakes on many touring models since the Rushmore bikes were released in 2014. The Harley linked braking system basically links the brakes so if a rider applies too much rear or front brake in an emergency the system takes over and applies the proper braking amounts to each wheel. See my YouTube video where I explain Harley RDRS! #1-Cornering Enhanced Electronic Linked Braking (C-ELB) This system is just like the reflex linked braking system but activates in an emergency situation in a corner. The front and rear brake systems apply the correct amount of braking for each wheel and take into account the lean angle of the motorcycle or the lateral acceleration of a trike. SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE #2-Cornering Enhanced Antilock Braking System (C-ABS) This system takes into account the lean angle of a motorcycle or the lateral acceleration of a trike during a corner and applies the proper amount of anti-lock braking to the front and rear wheel. This keeps the wheels rolling and prevents an uncontrolled wheel lock during a corner. #3-Cornering Enhanced Traction Control System (C-TCS) This is designed to prevent the rear wheel from excessive spinning under acceleration when going straight or cornering. This can be great for wet weather or a sudden change of the riding surface. The rider can choose between two modes: Standard mode is for dry surfaces. Rain mode is for wet surfaces. And the C-TCS mode can be turned off if desired. This mode is tailored when cornering based on lean angle. #4-Drag-Torque Slip Control System (DSCS) and Cornering Enhanced Drag-Torque Slip Control System (C-DSCS) This is designed to reduce excessive rear-wheel slip under deceleration. Rear-wheel slip can happen during a quick downshift or decelerating on wet or slick roads. The system will adjust engine torque delivery to better match rear-wheel speed to road speed. This mode is tailored when cornering based on lean angle or trike lateral acceleration. CHECK OUT OUR HUNDREDS OF FREE HELPFUL VIDEOS ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND SUBSCRIBE! #5-Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) This mode applies and holds brake pressure when activated. This will prevent the motorcycle from rolling after the brake controls have been released. This mode is for a situation such as being stopped on a hill and it will keep the bike from rolling. This system applies brake pressure until the rider turns the throttle and releases the clutch to pull away. The system may also be engaged when the motorcycle is stopped on a flat surface if the rider wants to maintain position without applying pressure to a front or rear brake. The system is activated when the rider momentarily applies extra pressure to either the front-brake hand lever or the rear-brake foot control after the motorcycle has come to a complete stop. An indicator light will illuminate when the system is activated. The VHC system is disengaged automatically as the rider begins to pull away from a stop, or if the rider applies and releases either brake control. #6-Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) This system simply alerts the rider to low tire air pressure. TPMS displays current front and rear tire pressure on the Boom! Box GTS screen or on the odometer on Road King models. This system is also available as a stand-alone accessory for 2020 Touring models equipped with original equipment or accessory wheels that accept a sensor. Pastor John Pickens brings us a message from the life of Solomon. Pastor John talks about how, often when people think about their legacy they think of their abilities, their achievements, their status. Our true legacy is determined by how we walk with God and how we live in obedience to his will.
This week Pastor Kevin Hancock talks about the story of King David. David sinned by committing adultery with Bathsheba and then having her husband killed. But, he turned back toward God and repented for what he had done. His response to his sin is what set him apart form his predecessor King Saul. David is a reminder to us that we don't have to stay stuck in our sin, God can free us from it.

Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com Podcast-In this episode we talk about Rick (Big Daddy) Kane's large-scale project he just completed on his 2001 Harley-Davidson Road King, named "Chola". This bike has a ton of rich history and you really need to go back and listen to Podcast Episode #106, where Rick breaks it all down for you. That will help you have a more true appreciation for this current project. Check out the Official Law Abiding Biker Store! Rick decided to do a full electronic fuel injection (EFI) to carburetor conversion on Chola. Yah, this is not something you hear about being done very often, but it can be and is done on occasion. Of course, there are reasons to do something as drastic as this. In Rick's case, he was having troubles with the older Magneti Marelli style EFI system Harley used from 1995-2001. These systems did not utilize O2 sensors in the exhaust for tuning. TheseMagneti Marelli systems are well known for causing problems and annoyances. In 2002, Harley-Davidson switched and started using the Delphi EFI systems on their motorcycles, which are more reliable and utilize exhaust O2 sensors for proper tuning. This Magneti Marelli system left us stranded late one night in the middle of nowhere in the pitch black. I followed and Rick was barely able to limp the bike back to town. Listen in as we tell the story. These types of EFI problems require expensive computers to properly diagnose. So, Rick took it to a friend of ours at a dealership to diagnose it with their computers. Things were never just right after several times to the shop to diagnose and Rick spent about $800. He actually had to push his Road King home about 1 1/2 miles! It ended up being recurring annoying problems with the cam timing sensor and neutral throttle sensor. Rick decided he'd had enough with the Magneti Marelli EFI system and wanted to get rid of it all together. He could have converted to the new Delphi EFI system but has always loved carburetors. Rick made the decision to do a full conversion from Magneti Marelli EFI to a carburetor system instead. Once and for all, he wanted no more problems with his 2001 Harley-Davidson Road King. Listen in as Rick describes the exact process he went through and the exact parts he used to make the carb conversion. He lays it all out for you in this episode and tells of what carburetor he went with. Rick is a wealth of knowledge on this subject and I learned a ton from him. He has some great resources for you if you might be contemplating this project. Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com Podcast-Jake here at Law Abiding Biker™ Media purchased a brand new Harley Davidson Street Glide Special (FLHXS) in early April of 2015 from a local Harley Davidson dealership. He traded in his 2012 Road King to make this purchase. I wanted to put this podcast & article out for our entire Law Abiding Biker Community or anyone else who may be considering purchasing this motorcycle. Harley Davidson Boom!™ Box Infotainment System! 3 Must See videos on everything you need to know on how to operate the new Boom!™ Box Infotainment System. Don't be frustrated, I will show you how. TUTORIAL VIDEO-Complete Harley Davidson "Boom Box" Infotainment System GPS Stereo Tutorial TUTORIAL VIDEO-Harley Davidson Boom Box Infotainment Software & Map Update Tutorial TUTORIAL VIDEO-Complete Harley Davidson Ride Planner & GPS Guide He ended purchasing the vivid black colored model, which costs less than a model with other custom colors. The 2015 Street Glide Special sports the air cooled 103” cu in V-Twin High Output Motor (1690 cc). There is also an integrated oil cooler. This 103 cu in V-Twin now comes stock with the 255 cam kit already installed. The 255 cam offers substantial increase in low-end torque. He has has been very impressed with the performance of this motor and it is a runner for sure. It is awesome to have that extra power at take off and when passing for certain. This bike really gets up and goes and feels extremely smooth. The 2015 Street Glide Special comes stock with a hydraulic clutch, 6 speed Cruise Drive transmission, of course the 6 gallon fuel tank, and the bike weighs in at 818 lbs. The motor has Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI). The engine is said to get around 42 miles per gallon combined city/highway and we have found that to be accurate. The 2015 Street Glide Special sports beautiful stock black Enforcer Cast Aluminum wheels on front and back. The front wheel is 19 inches and has a Dunlop D408F 130/60B19 tire, while the rear wheel is 16 inches and has a Dunlop D407T 180/65B16. The tires handle well and you can drag floorboards all day long around corners! The gauges on the dash now run along the top, making room for the 6” touch screen Boom Box Infotainment System below. Check out our #1 Ranked Boom Box Tutorial Video!. The system is pretty awesome, but there is a rather steep learning curve. We teach you everything you need to know on how to operate the new system and how to keep your software up to date, which is critical. The speedometer and tachometer are 10% larger and have 68% wider numbers. It has a 28% larger fuel and volt gauge with 30% wider numbers. The display features odometer, trip A, trip B, range to empty, and gear indicator. All the gauges are beautifully backlit. On the left handlebar controls on top is a trigger switch (odometer, trip A, trip B, and range to empty). Also on the left handlebar controls is a switch to operate voice commands via a headset to the Boom Box Infotainment System. The cruise control is now solely operated by a joystick and has been moved to the left handlebar controls. Now you can rock the throttle back with your right hand and set the cruise with your left. This was a very nice change. On the right handlebar controls is an information switch to display ambient temperature, oil pressure and whether your engine idle temperature management system (EITMS) is enabled. This is all displayed on the large 6” Boom Box Infotainment System Screen. These are all new ergonomic hand controls and include joysticks on each side to control all the functions of the Boom Box Infotainment System and cruise control. I can tell you that everything to operate the electronics is right at your fingertips and feels great! The inside of the fairing is beautiful on the 2014 Street Glide Special and is painted in an eye catching gloss black finish. This really completes the inside of fairing and makes it stand out. Of course the new front fairing vent or "wind tunnel" is a huge new addition to the 2014 Street Glide Special. You can close the vent by a large button on the upper left inside of the fairing. This new vent is placed there to reduce head buffeting, which it does. Essentially the air rushes through the fairing vent and shoots a wall of air straight up in front of you in order to slow the oncoming air. This is my assessment of how it operates. I have tested this vent "wind tunnel" in all different conditions and at many different speeds. My personal estimation is that it reduces head buffering by about 25-30%. The only time I can see that I would close the vent is during extremely heavy rains or hail. I have opened it and closed on very cold mornings and nights and it does not seem to matter. The only downfall to the new fairing vent is that you would not want to install inside fairing storage pouches on your dash, as it would block the wind tunnel, but I believe the trade off is well worth it. The FLHXS comes standard with dual front brakes, ABS, and the new linked braking system they call the Reflex Braking System. Essentially in an emergency stop, not only do the ABS brakes kick in, but if you apply too much front or rear brakes, the sensors within recognize this problem and even out the braking pressures. This all results in very quick braking in an emergency. New Patrons: Carl Lingelbach of Appolo, PA Robert Henze of Walden NY If you appreciate the content we put out and want to make sure it keeps on coming your way then become a Patron too! There are benefits and there is no risk. The beautiful thing is that the linked braking system does not kick in until 20-25 mph. This is super important for motorcycle law enforcement officers, who do a lot of low speed aggressive maneuvers and have to use the rear brake a lot while doing so. On other brands of bikes that had similar linked type brakes, they activated even at very low speeds, making the slow speed maneuvers much more difficult for the police motorcycle officer. This of course goes for anyone who practices or knows how to perform aggressive slow speed maneuvers. Harley Davidson really thought this one out! A few other things worth mentioning are the restyled hard saddle bags with a one touch design latch, dual halogen headlight, 49 mm telescopic front forks, stiffer triple clamps, larger steering bearings, low profile front fender, Jukebox media compartment with a USB connection and one touch access door, and of course the Harley Davidson Factory Security System with hands free security fob. All these additions and changes have made an awesome riding 2014 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special. The bike is tight, smooth, fast, and powerful. It corners like a dream and it is even hard to tell how fast you are going unless looking at the speedometer. That is how smooth this bike runs. The new Boom Box Infotainment System with integrated GPS is just what I was calling for. The audio system sounds great and can be heard fine, even at freeway speeds. The only thing we did to the bike for now is install an aftermarket EFI tuner and replaced the stock mufflers with Vance and Hines Dresser Twin Slash Rounds slip on mufflers. We have a free video on removing/installing aftermarket exhaust. We also have a free tutorial video on installing a Stage One Air Intake and installing a Dyno Jet Power Commander V EFI tuner, which we will be doing eventually. Just when you think there is nothing more Harley Davidson can do to make their bikes even better, they knock it out of the park! Well done Harley Davidson and you should be very proud of this bike! As trucking regulations become more focused on medical issues such as sleep apnea and the body mass index (BMI), truck drivers are now needing to pay better attention to their heath. Regardless of the lifestyle that truckers face, better health can be accomplished but both professional driver and motor carrier must play a responsible role. Special guest, Jeff Clark has been in trucking for 30 years and is a member of the Driver Health Council with the Trucking Solutions Group. Having faced his own health problems while driving over the road, he is now an avid runner, completing eight marathons and believes that the truck driver health issues in the industry can be solved with drivers and motor carriers working together. He has been featured in Road King, Truckers News, Challenge, Landline, and Runner’s World magazines and currently writes a monthly health column for Truckers News Magazine. We will take a look at the importance of truck driver health and what you can do to protect your CDL over impending truck driver health regulations.
