Discover what happens when the strategic prowess of Manchester United clashes with Liverpool's missed opportunities in a game that leaves fans on the edge of their seats. We kick off with a goal-by-goal breakdown of the 2-2 spectacle at Old Trafford, unpacking the defensive blunders and strategical chess that defined the match. Mike joins Jamie to dissect whether United's high-risk game under Ten Hag is a flash in the pan or a glimpse into a winning formula, and we scrutinize Liverpool's chances of ending their season with success after this pulsating encounter. The drama doesn't stop there as we tackle the hotly debated penalty involving Wan-Bissaka and Elliot, along with Casemiro's hair-raising challenge. Our conversation takes a twist to Liverpool's European journey and the resilience of Manchester City, while not forgetting to shine a light on Arsenal's defensive masterclass propelling them towards a possible title. With sharp commentary from Mike, we don't shy away from Klopp's psychological tactics and the contentious Lamptey-Jesus penalty, offering you an arsenal of insights that go beyond the surface-level analysis. Finally, we scrutinize Chelsea's stumbling blocks, and Everton's recent joy. The battle for fourth and relegation roulette. The VAR debate heats up in ref watch. MIRROR IMAGE: As Bergen PI Varg Veum investigates two different cases, it becomes clear that they are uncannily similar to harrowing events that took place thirty-six years earlier… A gripping instalment of the award-winning Varg Veum series, by one of the fathers of Nordic Noir.Bergen Private Investigator Varg Veum is perplexed when two wildly different cases cross his desk at the same time. “To me, ideas are worth nothing unless executed. They are just a multiplier. Execution is worth millions.” Steve Jobs To make a BIG impact you have to master the art of getting things done. You have to push through the difficult part between an exciting and promising idea and a finished project. Dr. Ross McDonald is making a huge impact - he has a successful practice, runs the Edinburgh Lectures seminar, was the team chiropractor for the South African Springboks Rugby team, is the President of the Scottish Chiropractic Association, and is the main driving force behind the Scotland College of Chiropractic! Ross joins Martin on the podcast today to explain how he has achieved all of this while still having a fabulous family and a lot of fun. Otho Eskin's “The Reflecting Pool” Is a Fast-Paced Crime Thriller Set in the Nation's Capital In this episode, we visit with lawyer and diplomat turned author and playwright, Otho Eskin, author of “The Reflecting Pool,” a crime thriller starring protagonist and D.C. homicide detective Marko Thorn. New York Times bestselling author Steve Berry says: “Rough and ragged as the world it so vividly creates, The Reflecting Pool crackles with twists and turns, making for a fun and heady combination of suspense and intrigue.” Jon Land, Providence Journal, says: “Otho Eskin's The Reflecting Pool is the kind of crime-thriller Ross McDonald would have written if he were still alive today. That's a high bar for any author to reach, but Eskin proves more than equal to the task… The Reflecting Pool is a crime-thriller constructed along classic lines, and in Zorn, Eskin has created the best crime hero this side of Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch. Woven from the fabric of masters like John D. MacDonald and Robert Crais, this riveting page-turner is never afraid to cut its own cloth.” Engage with the show here: https://linktr.ee/CharlotteReadersPodcast Detailed show notes here: https://charlottereaderspodcast.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/charlottereaderspodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/charlottereaderspodcast/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/charlottereader Charlotte Readers Podcast is a proud member of the Authors on the Air Global Radio Network and the Queen City Podcast Network. © Charlotte Readers Podcast and Authors on the Air Global Radio Network
