In this talk, we discuss the Matangī meditation mantra and present a simple worship of Matangi since the day before yesterday was her Jayanti (birthday). We were all of us recovering from our Atlanta adventure so I didn't get to write to you yesterday and wish you all a happy Akshaya Trititya; you were all in my heart!Akshaya Trititya is such an auspicious day combining so many important events that I think I'll say a few things about it in class today also before our practice. On this day:1. The day the first naga sadhu, Rishabha was fed2. Treta Yuga began3. Parashurama, the axe-wielding, angry avatar of Vishnu was born4. Ganga Mā first flowed down from heaven5. Shiva appointed Kubera the ruler of material prosperity6. Vyāsa begin composing the Mahabharata (with Ganesh taking dictation)7. Yudishtira received the Infinite Bowl (Akshaya patra)8. Parvati took the form of AnnapurnaAnd of course it's also the auspicious Jayanti of Matangī Mā! Worship of MātangīDraw a red downward pointing triangle in the North-East and then chant the Matangī meditation mantra:śavopari–samāsīnāṁ raktāmbaraparicchadām।raktālaṅkāra saṁyuktāṁ guñjāhāra vibhūṣitāma॥ṣoḍaśābdāṁ ca yuvatīṁ pīnonnatapayodharām।kapālakartṛkāhastāṁ paramajyotirūpiṇīm॥vāmadakṣiṇa yogena dhyāyenmantraviduttamam।īṣathāsya samāyuktāṁ nīlamegha samaprabhām॥Translation:The highest knower of the mantra (i.e the Tantrik adept) should meditate on this Goddess through the yoga of the Left and Right as follows:Seated on a corpse, dressed in red, adorned with red ornaments, garlanded in poisonous flowers/seeds, a young woman of sixteen with comely breasts, holding a sword and skull-bowl, whose form is the supreme light (of consciousness), endowed with a subtle smile, radiant like a storm cloud.Meditate on Mā, perform mental worship and then offer an already offered flower saying,OM jyeṣṭhamātaṅgi namāmi ucchiṣṭacaṇḍālini trailokyavaśaṅkari svāhāidaṁ nirmālyapuṣpādikam ucchiṣṭacaṇḍālinyai namaḥ ।Translation:To the eldest Mātaṅgī, I bow.To the fierce Ucchiṣṭa Caṇḍālinī—the outcaste goddess who sanctifies impurity, who enchants and subjugates the three worlds—I offer myself with these leftover flowers and all their fragrance.Svāhā!All this is offered to You, O Ucchiṣṭa Caṇḍālinī—salutations!"and then place some offered food on mandala saying:oṁ lehyacoṣyānnapānādi tāmbūlamanulepanam।nirmālyaṁ bhojanaṁ tubhyaṁ dadāmi śrīśivājñayā॥These foods and drinks as well as the tambulam and fragrant pastes that have already been touched by the tongue, this leftover (sullied) food I offer to you by the command of Lord Shiva!Lectures happen live every Monday at 7pm PST and Friday 10am PST and again Friday at 6pm PST.Use this link and I will see you there:https://www.zoom.us/j/7028380815For more videos, guided meditations and instruction and for access to our lecture library, visit me at:https://www.patreon.com/yogawithnishTo get in on the discussion and access various spiritual materials, join our Discord here: https://discord.gg/U8zKP8yMrMSupport the show
"The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way." - Marcus Aurelius Bring your awareness to the past week. Gently review the events that occurred, not with judgment, but with detached observation. Allow images and memories to surface, like scenes from a film. As you reflect, pay close attention to the moments that presented challenges, obstacles, or setbacks. Begin to shift your perspective to the Stoic quote: 'The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.' THIS WEEK'S THEME: The Stoic's Gaze Welcome to this week's meditation series: "The Stoic's Gaze: Perceiving Opportunity in All Challenges" In each episode this week, you're guided with the mental tools to transform challenges into pathways for personal growth and virtuous living, directly inspired by Stoic philosophy. Each session focuses on a core Stoic virtue and offers practical techniques to shift perspective and find hidden opportunities within adversity. The series begins by establishing the foundational Stoic understanding that external events are largely outside your control, but your responses and interpretations are entirely within your power. It emphasizes that challenges, rather than being mere obstacles, are opportunities to practice and strengthen Stoic virtues like kindness, patience, resilience, wisdom, courage, and self-control. Each meditation session will guide you through a process of reframing your perception of challenging situations. You're invited to observe your initial emotional reactions without judgment, and then intentionally shift your focus to the potential for growth and virtue. The guided meditations will incorporate visualizations, affirmations, and contemplative practices that embody Stoic principles. Be guided as you focus on the Stoic virtue of kindness. Life presents us with countless opportunities to extend compassion and understanding, even in challenging situations. This meditation will help us cultivate a mindset of kindness, transforming obstacles into moments of human connection. THIS WEEK'S THEME: The Stoic's Gaze Welcome to this week's meditation series: "The Stoic's Gaze: Perceiving Opportunity in All." In each episode this week, you're guided with the mental tools to transform challenges into pathways for personal growth and virtuous living, directly inspired by Stoic philosophy. Al realizarlo con concentración y visualización positiva, se dice que ayuda a manifestar objetivos financieros y materializar el deseo de abundancia en la vida. pWotD Episode 2739: Diwali Welcome to Popular Wiki of the Day, spotlighting Wikipedia's most visited pages, giving you a peek into what the world is curious about today. With 354,333 views on Thursday, 31 October 2024 our article of the day is Diwali.Diwali (English: ), also called Deepavali (IAST: Dīpāvalī), is the Hindu festival of lights, with variations celebrated in other Indian religions such as Jainism and Sikhism. It symbolises the spiritual victory of Dharma over Adharma, light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Diwali is celebrated during the Hindu lunisolar months of Ashvin (according to the amanta tradition) and Kartika—between around mid-September and mid-November. The celebrations generally last five or six days.Diwali is connected to various religious events, deities and personalities, such as being the day Rama returned to his kingdom in Ayodhya with his wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana after defeating the demon king Ravana. It is also widely associated with Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity, and Ganesha, the god of wisdom and the remover of obstacles. Other regional traditions connect the holiday to Vishnu, Krishna, Durga, Shiva, Kali, Hanuman, Kubera, Yama, Yami, Dhanvantari, or Vishvakarman.Primarily a Hindu festival, variations of Diwali are also celebrated by adherents of other faiths. The Jains observe their own Diwali which marks the final liberation of Mahavira. The Sikhs celebrate Bandi Chhor Divas to mark the release of Guru Hargobind from a Mughal prison. Newar Buddhists, unlike other Buddhists, celebrate Diwali by worshipping Lakshmi, while the Hindus of Eastern India and Bangladesh generally celebrate Diwali by worshipping the goddess Kali.During the festival, the celebrants illuminate their homes, temples and workspaces with diyas (oil lamps), candles and lanterns. Hindus, in particular, have a ritual oil bath at dawn on each day of the festival. Diwali is also marked with fireworks as well as the decoration of floors with rangoli designs and other parts of the house with jhalars. Food is a major focus with families partaking in feasts and sharing mithai. The festival is an annual homecoming and bonding period not only for families, but also for communities and associations, particularly those in urban areas, which will organise activities, events, and gatherings. Many towns organise community parades and fairs with parades or music and dance performances in parks. Some Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs will send Diwali greeting cards to family near and far during the festive season, occasionally with boxes of Indian confectionery. Another aspect of the festival is remembering the ancestors.Diwali is also a major cultural event for the Hindu, Sikh, and Jain diaspora. The main day of the festival of Diwali (the day of Lakshmi Puja) is an official holiday in Fiji, Guyana, India, Malaysia, Mauritius, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago and in some US states. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 01:49 UTC on Friday, 1 November 2024.For the full current version of the article, see Diwali on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm standard Amy.

Discussion of the profound practices of visualization and emotional frequency, are manifestation techniques, as well as understanding your subconscious sabotaging patterns. Enjoy a vibrational shift—with a special mantra transmission that will elevate your spirit and open your path to abundance.Jill Jardine, M. A Counseling Psychology, is a certified Mantra instructor, who shares the teachings of her mantra lineage, as she received them through her teacher, Namadeva Archarya, Thomas Ashley-Farrand and given the spiritual dispensation to teach this powerful technique. Join us as we chant the potent 'Shrim' and 'Klim' bija mantras, uniting masculine and feminine energies, and invoking the divine wisdom of Saraswati. Our conversation weaves together the energies of Lakshmi and Lord Kubera, the celestial treasurer, for an enhanced experience of prosperity. Chanting in Sanskrit is an ancient Vedic practice, sometimes referred to as the Yoga of Sound. Sanskrit Mantras are sacred sound formulas that shift our spiritual physiology. They clear blockages, both internally and externally, allowing us to be more receptive to our good. By removing obstacles, known or unknown in our body, mind and energetic fields, Sanskrit mantras change our frequency so we become more magnetic to our soul powers and spiritual fruits. This grouping of mantras is specific to bringing more prosperity into your life. The mantras invoke the Goddess of Prosperity, Lakshmi, in Vedic teachings. Chanting to Lakshmi, and Kubera, the celestial treasure, will bring in more abundance in the form of money, good luck, helpful people, fortuitous circumstances, blessings and boons.Chant these powerful mantras 108 X to bring more abundance into your life.1) Shrim (Shreem): This is the bija mantra for the Lakshmi principle of abundance. This means all kinds of abundance, which can show up as material prosperity, spiritual abundance, peace as wealth, health as wealth, and more. 2) Klim (Kleem): Seed principle for attraction. This sound is commonly combined with other mantras to attract the object of desire. To powerfully attract wealth it can be combined with the Lakshmi seed, Shrim, and added to a Lakshmi mantra.3) Om Shrim Klim Maha Lakshmiyei Namaha (Ohm Shreem Kleem Ma-ha Laksh-me-yei Na-ma-ha): This is a prosperity mantra which combines the "shrim" seed for abundance with the "klim" seed for attraction with the Lakshmi foundation mantra.4) Ha Sa Ka La E I La Hrim- Ha Sa Ka La E I La Hrim (Hreem) This is a seed mantra for abundance to increase prosperity. This mantra consists of seed or "bija" mantras which activates chakras (energy centers). "Hrim" is the seed sound for the sacred heart. This mantra gives attunement to the celestial treasurer, Kubera. Lakshmi and Kubera work together to bring in more prosperity.5) Om Eim Klim Sau Sau Klim Eim: (Ohm I'm Kleem Saw Saw Kleem I'm)Brings in universal consciousness and the Saraswati principle of feminine spiritual wisdom to activate "shakti" (or the divine lifeforce energy) to attract desires including happiness, prosperity, love and liberation). *The information in this podcast is the intellectual property of Jill Jardine, and can not be replicated or used without permission or attribution. The story of Guṇanidhi continues with him, now named Śrīda, as the guardian of the quarter in the heavenly city of Alakā. He performs severe penance for 200,000 years, realizing his identity with Śiva, who appears to him and out great mercy, appoints him to the post of Kubera. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/shivadyuti/message
Brahmā said, “O Nārada, hear the story of Śiva's arrival at Kailāśa, the best of mountains, thanks to the power of penance of Kubera. The Lord of the Universe, after bestowing the boon of lordship of treasures upon Kubera, returned to His excellent abode and thought within Himself thus: ‘My complete manifestation, born of Brahmā, can look after the activity of Dissolution. Now, assuming that form I shall go to Kailāśa, the residence of Guhyakas. Rudra, born of My heart, My perfect manifestation, is the single Supreme Brahman. He is worthy of being served by Viṣṇu, Brahmā and others. He is not different from Me. He is unsullied. In that form I shall become that friend of Kubera, shall remain near him and perform great penance.' --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/shivadyuti/message
Brahmā said, “In the kalpa called Pādma, I created my mental son Pulastya, whose son Viśravas begot the son Vaiśravaṇa. He propitiated the three-eyed God Śiva with a very severe penance and enjoyed the city of Alakā built by Viśvakṛt. When that kalpa was over and the Meghavāhana-kalpa had started, the son of Yajñadatta, Śrīda, performed a severe penance. Realising the efficacy of devotion to Śiva accruing from the mere illumination of His temple with lamps, he reached Kāśī for the illumination of his thought. Under the lustre of the gems of the mind, he repeated the mantras of eleven Rudras with loyal devotion and unswerving concentration of the mind. He could realise his identity with Śiva. He then performed very severe penance for two hundred thousand years—a penance which was enhanced by the fire of austerity, was free from interference from lust and anger, was windless, inasmuch as the breath was curbed, and was pure in form with pure vision. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/shivadyuti/message
Sūta said, “O great sages, after hearing these words of Brahmā, Nārada once again bowed to him and asked humbly:” Nārada said, “When did Śiva, favourably disposed to His devotees, go to Kailāśa? Where did he have the intimate acquaintance with Kubera of great and noble soul? What did Śiva of auspicious form do there? Please narrate all these things to me. I am deeply interested in it.” Brahmā said, “O Nārada, listen. I shall tell you the story of the moon-crested Lord, how he went to Kailāśan and how he contracted friendship of Kubera. In the city of Kāmpilya there was a sacrificer named Yajñadatta. Born of a Somayāji family, he was adept in the performance of sacrifice. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/shivadyuti/message

However, the reality is velocity may get you the look, but command gets you time on the mound. If you can't “control” the pitch, you won't be throwing strikes or seeing much playing time. And if you can't “command” it, then it will be harder to the wins against high level players. I read an interesting article while researching for proof on the Vedic India encompassed the entire world. I have posted quite a few articles on the Ancient Kingdoms of India with Time line, names,The Dynasties List and the existing archeological proof for the statement that Bharatvarsha extended throughout the world. Kanchi Periyavar mentions this fact in the Book Deivathin Kural in Tamil( Free download of the Book is available in this site),with astonishing evidence from the Vedic Texts. The Mayan civilization as well as the Egyptian Civilizations often intrigued me. Their method of worship of the Sun, the reverence for the Dead and some cultural practices are very close to Hinduism. Now on to this information in the article. The Vedas tell a number of valid facts about ancient America . They call Mexico and Central America Patala. In Sanskrit, Patala means ‘one of the seven regions under the earth and the abode of serpents' According to the myths, an eagle named Garuda transported thousands of ancient mariners, called snakes (Nagas, there in its beak. Although I feel they came here in ocean-going ships, the implication is clear that they could have flown here as well. The legends of the O'odhams of Arizona describe such a sky-born ship. They call it Nah-Big, a term definitely derived from the Sanskrit Nag-Bhaga or Snake God. One cannot help but become impressed when he reads the O'odham stories of the Nah-Big. It is clear that it was some kind of flying ship. The O'odhams even speak of it as being propelled by an energy generator having positive (male) and (female) female poles… In the Mayan-derived dialects along Mexico's northern east coast down to and including the Central America republics, Patal means ‘abandoned or deserted land; without people.' Naga-like derivatives also exist in Mexico . In Sanskrit, Nag-asta means Western Naga Land . The Mayan lowlands down to and including Costa Rica are called Nacaste. According to Hindu legends, a naga could turn into a human being. In Mexico, a nagual was a were-animal. Nagual derived from the Sanskrit Nag-Baal, meaning Snake Demon… The Hindu Naga Mayas also belonged to a powerful Dravidian group of Nagas called Asuras. Whether or not the Asuras were demi-gods or demons depended on one's point of view. The leader of these Naga Asuras was the Hindu (really a Bulgarian) god of precious metals, wealth, traders and even agriculturists (really a group) named Kubera or Khyber (Kheever). For Christians and Jews he was Heber. This Kubera, Khyber, or Heber was leader of a horde called Yakshas or Yakhas (Biblical Joktan?). They were reputed to be both superior mentally and materially. Their servants were called Guhyakhas (Yakha shit). Today, in Judaism, which evolved from the Kubera teachings, the term has changed to Goy, but the meaning has never changed. The Kubera hordes, composed of Yakshas or Yakhas and their Guyakha underclass captured most of India's undesirables, the unredeemably savage and cannibilistic Rakshasas, exiling them to Ceylon or Lanka. Later, they exiled them to Patala, supposedly in air ships. The Mayas had their own nation in Lanka, also named Maya, with a sub-group called Laks (Mexico's Lacandones). It is a strange anomaly that Rama, Lenka (Lanka), and Lacandon Mayan peoples exist in Meso-America, including the inhabitants of Yucatan (Yakhustan; Joktan?)… In India, many Hindus love to mention them as a superior race of people who came to them from Uttara Kuru ( Siberia and the North Pole). Yet, the Kurus (Ari) and Ramas were just the Indian people themselves who once inhabited the whole of the Eastern Hemisphere — Kurus the north, and Ramas, the Indian sub continent itself. In the mythologies of all the world, the Kurus (Turks) and the Hindus (Ramas) are the Holy Twins. Although both groups were partners (twins) in international trading, the Kurus (Turks) provided the shipping and the Ramas their services as warrior traders.morevat Ramanisblog --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ramanispodcast/message

It's not a shot of B12 but vitamin manga has been proven to support your immune system. Insofar as you're now immune to at least one more bad manga than you were before. Tim has Kubera. We start with a girl who was told to never share her name with anyone, lives in a small village, and is having her sixteenth birthday. If you can look past the neon signs indicating Kubera as the protagonist, you will see an art style reminiscent of the mid two thousands Deviant Art comic. She goes out into the forest to gather food for dinner and comes back to find the town engulfed in a ball … Continue reading "Manga Pulse 419: Kuby Snacks"
