What happens to your faith when authority figures stop answering your questions? Pat Kahnke and Adam work through Stage Two of Brian McLaren's stages of faith — a conversation for everyone navigating the space between certainty and collapse. Whether you're deconstructing Christianity, wrestling with faith and doubt, or just trying to stay sane in the age of MAGA theology, this is for you. We're working through two essays: Adam's "Complexity Is What Happens When Authority Figures Stop Answering Your Questions" and David Brooks' New York Times piece "The Shock of Faith" — possibly the most honest account of faith deconstruction written by a public intellectual in years. Brooks describes himself as "a wandering Jew and a very confused Christian." He told a room full of conservatives "you're supposed to boo" — and kept going. That's Stage Two in real time.
SDRP Payment #2 is coming into focus, and for many producers, it may be much simpler than expected. In this episode of The Ag View Pitch, Chris talks with Paul Neiffer about the latest SDRP announcement, how the second payment works, why many farmers may receive roughly the same amount as their first SDRP payment, and how the combined payment limit could affect larger operations. They also break down the extended August 12 deadline, what producers likely need to do next, how Stage One and Stage Two payments fit together, and why Stage Two has been so frustrating for many farmers. Later in the conversation, they discuss possible additional farm aid, fertilizer cost concerns, 2026 payment limit questions, and what farmers should be watching heading into the rest of the year.Topics include SDRP Payment #2, farm program payments, payment limits, FSA deadlines, fertilizer prices, 2026 farm aid, and row crop profitability.

And subscribe to Rosemary’s “Engineering with Rosie” YouTube channel here. Have a question we can answer on the show? Email us! There is a story unfolding across this industry right now. It is a story of two worlds. One world is closing its doors. The other is throwing them wide open. Let us start in New Jersey. EEW American Offshore Structures filed for Chapter Eleven bankruptcy on April eighth. This was the first monopile manufacturing facility ever built in the United States. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced a two hundred fifty million dollar investment in the Paulsboro Marine Terminal back in twenty twenty. It was called the largest industrial offshore wind investment in the country at the time. At full buildout… five hundred thousand square feet of production space. More than one hundred monopiles per year. Five hundred workers. They even built the first American-made monopile… for Orsted’s Ocean Wind project. It weighed three million pounds. It measured three hundred feet long. Then Orsted canceled Ocean Wind One and Two. Then Shell pulled out of Atlantic Shores. Without contracted work… workers disassembled and recycled finished monopiles for scrap. Federal policy shifts removed the pipeline of future projects. A landlord eviction filing followed. And then… Chapter Eleven. That is a two hundred fifty million dollar facility… with nowhere left to go. Now stay with us. Because just offshore… another American offshore wind story is fighting for its life. Vineyard Wind… the sixty-two turbine project fifteen miles south of Martha’s Vineyard… filed suit in Massachusetts against GE Renewables. GE Vernova says Vineyard Wind owes it three hundred million dollars for work already performed… and it wants to walk away at the end of April. Vineyard Wind says not so fast. The developer says GE still owes five hundred forty-five million dollars for what it calls inexcusably poor performance after a catastrophic turbine blade collapse in July of twenty twenty-four. Fiberglass blade fragments washed onto Nantucket beaches during peak tourist season. Sixty-eight of seventy-two blades had to be removed and replaced. That set the project back nearly two years. Construction did reach completion in March… making Vineyard Wind the first offshore project to finish under the current administration. But now the only contractor capable of completing the remaining work… wants out. A court hearing was scheduled for Thursday. And now… look eastward. Something similar is playing out in Korea. European offshore wind companies are exiting the Korean market one by one. Corio Generation, a British firm owned by Macquarie, disbanded its Korean unit and pulled out of joint projects in Busan and Ulsan. Germany’s RWE quit offshore wind projects in Taean and Sinan counties. Vestas postponed its turbine factory in Mokpo… indefinitely. Equinor began reducing its Korean workforce. Shell exited the Korean offshore market entirely in twenty twenty-four. These companies point to worsening global profitability… and Korean government policies they say favor domestic companies over firms with greater experience. Korea had a target of three gigawatts of offshore wind by twenty thirty. That goal is now in serious doubt. But here is where the story turns. Not every market is closing its door. Eight thousand miles from New Jersey… in the Sunshine State of Queensland, Australia… the final forty-one turbines just arrived at the Wambo wind project. Cubico Sustainable Investments and Stanwell are building a five hundred six megawatt project on the Darling Downs. Stage One… two hundred fifty-two megawatts… already feeding the Queensland grid. Stage Two deliveries are now complete. Commissioning and full operations are on track for the end of twenty twenty-six. And up in Ontario, Canada… the province just approved fourteen new wind and solar projects totaling more than thirteen hundred megawatts. The average price… eight point eight cents per kilowatt hour. Compare that to twenty-one point four cents for some proposed nuclear projects… and more than thirty-two cents for certain new reactor designs. Contracts run for twenty years, with all projects online before twenty thirty. So let us step back. In New Jersey… the first American monopile factory files for bankruptcy. Off Massachusetts… a completed offshore wind farm fights to keep its contractor. In Korea… European developers pack their bags. But in Australia… turbines arrive on schedule. And in Canada… wind power undercuts nuclear at the meter. The wind energy industry is not in retreat. It is choosing its battlegrounds. And where the conditions are right… the blades are turning. And now you know… the rest of the story. That is the state of the wind industry for the 13th of April, twenty twenty-six. Join us for the Uptime Wind Energy Podcast tomorrow.

They are stuck because the owner is doing six jobs at once with no process underneath any of them. In this episode, I break down the three stages every shop goes through on the way to seven figures, why most owners stall out between stage two and stage three, and what it actually takes to build a sales operation that runs without you.I share a real client story about a shop owner doing 47K a month who called me on a Tuesday night and said he was making more money than ever and had never been more miserable. That story says everything. The move that gets you from 40K to 100K is the opposite of the move that got you from zero to 40K. This episode gives you the structural playbook to make that shift.Timestamps00:07 - Understanding the Transition from Growth to Process03:35 - Value Begins Start Here07:22 - Understanding the Stages of Business Growth12:09 - Transitioning from Stage Two to Stage Three16:51 - Overcoming Identity and Fear in Business Growth18:37 - Building a Sustainable Sales Process25:59 - Building a Sales Operation That Runs Without YouCompanies MentionedDetailing GrowthDetailer OSWebsites Mentioneddetailinggrowth.comGuest InformationThis episode is a solo episode hosted by Gabe Fletcher, founder of Detailing Growth and Detailer OS. Sign up for Practi, a new platform that helps law firms use subscription billing. Here are the top 5 takeaways from this episode:* AI is “Augmented Intelligence” and a Catalyst for Transformation: AI should be viewed as an augmenting tool to enhance legal work, not a “magic box” for perfect results. The systemic and responsible deployment of AI/legal tech is essential for a business transformation that shifts from a reactive to a proactive service delivery model, ultimately freeing up time from mundane tasks.* Focus on Strategy First, Tools Second (Stage One vs. Stage Two): The mistake many make is focusing on the sheer number of AI tools (Stage Two) before defining a strategy (Stage One). The first step should be to map current operations, identify pain points, define a target operating model, and understand what to do with the surplus capacity created by efficiency. Deploying tech without a defined structure is “piecemeal.”* The Human Element and Risk Allocation Remain Critical: Despite advancements in AI, people still seek lawyers for human interaction, to assign and share accountability, and to feel a sense of confidence and comfort in resolving legal problems. The human lawyer acts as a “guardian” and “shield,” and human judgment is necessary for interpreting legal dilemmas, especially since a 1% uncertainty will always exist, regardless of machine precision.* The Need for Purpose-Built Technology: Using a single, ultimate generalist AI tool for everything in law is like “trying to saw a two by four with a power drill.” Lawyers must select technology that is purpose-built for specific use cases (e.g., contracts, litigation, research) to achieve true efficiency and higher-quality work.* A Shift in Business Model is Essential for AI Success: The full potential of AI cannot be realized if the fundamental incentive structure remains the billable hour. If all incentives are to “bill more time,” AI's 4% time saving is seen as lost revenue. However, by adopting models like subscriptions or value-based billing, AI helps with problem avoidance and speed to deal, making the more efficient model more profitable.__________________________Want your question to be answered on a future show? But no matter how hard you push, it's not progressing the way it used to? You’re wondering: Does this mean I am ungrateful for wanting more? Am I self-sabotaging? Have I lost my magic touch? Is my manifestation ability broken? Or worse… am I about to ruin my life by walking away from something I fought so hard to build? I am seeing this collective theme everywhere right now… in my private practice, in conversations with friends, and inside my own life. What if this isn't failure at all? What if you are so greatly loved that you are being redirected to a version of your life or purpose that is better than you imagined? Stage Two of the Dakar Rally 2026 delivered exactly what Dakar does best: tight margins, strategic battles, and constant pressure across every category. In this episode, we break down the Stage 2 results across motorcycles, cars, stock class, and SSVs, highlighting just how close the competition has become early in the rally. On two wheels, Daniel Sanders emerged as the provisional stage winner with a time of 4:13:37, but the bigger story is the depth of the field — the top 10 riders separated by less than 10 minutes, where even small navigation mistakes carry heavy consequences. In the car category, Seth Quintero delivered a standout performance, backed by the navigation experience of Andrew Short, showing once again how critical teamwork and roadbook precision are at Dakar. The stock class continues to impress, with Sara Price securing a stage win and proving that production-based vehicles face a very different — and often more punishing — set of challenges compared to T1+ machinery.Meanwhile, the SSV category remains one of the most competitive fields in the rally, with tight time gaps and relentless pace that leave no room for error.Stage Two reinforces a core Dakar truth: this rally isn't won on outright speed alone — it's won through navigation, endurance, and strategy, and the margins are already razor thin.
Command Central on ChasingWaypoints.comhttps://www.chasingwaypoints.com/2026-dakar-rally.htmlMo's Dakar: https://amzn.to/49lvzgeStage One of the Dakar Rally 2026 is complete — and it's already clear that this year's rally is evolving into multiple races within the same event. In this episode of Chasing Waypoints, we break down the Stage 1 results across motorcycles, vehicles, and SSVs, highlight key performances and penalties, and explain why Dakar 2026 is shaping up differently than years past. One of the biggest early storylines comes from Ross Branch, whose penalty had a direct impact on his Stage One standing and immediately changed the competitive picture. These moments matter early — not because they decide the rally, but because they force strategy changes sooner than expected. We also look at the vehicle categories, where X-raid Mini set the early benchmark, and explain how vehicle dynamics, terrain interaction, and reliability are already influencing outcomes. In the SSV category, the margins are razor thin. Stage One showed just how competitive this class has become, with close times and very little room for mistakes — a trend that's likely to continue as the rally wears on.Looking ahead, Stage Two presents a long, demanding challenge where:Fuel management becomes criticalFatigue begins to accumulateStrategy matters more than outright speedWe also discuss how the interaction between bikes and vehicles adds complexity on course — affecting visibility, lines, and decision-making for everyone involved. This episode isn't about predictions — because it's still far too early for that. Dakar 2026 is just getting started, and the only certainty is that adaptability will matter more than ever.

Welcome to The Times of Israel's Daily Briefing, your 20-minute audio update on what's happening in Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world. Diplomatic correspondent Lazar Berman joins host Amanda Borschel-Dan for today's episode. Israel does not know the location of four of the remaining 13 bodies of hostages held in Gaza, even as Egypt is reportedly bringing 12 additional heavy vehicles into the enclave this morning to clear roads and assist in efforts to locate the deceased. Berman weighs in on the stability of the ceasefire as the US increases its rhetoric, pushing Hamas to release the bodies to begin the transition to phase two of the 20-point Trump peace plan. A transnational terror network run by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force is behind a string of recent attacks on Jewish sites in Western countries, the Mossad intelligence agency said on Sunday. We learn about senior IRGC-Quds Force commander Sardar Ammar, who heads a network of some 11,000 operatives carrying out covert operations and strikes on Jewish sites. Catherine Connolly, a veteran lawmaker on the far left of the Irish political spectrum, was elected president by a landslide margin on Saturday. She has drawn criticism for her views on the Hamas terror group, which she said in September was “part of the fabric of the Palestinian people,” as well as claims that Israel is carrying out a genocide in Gaza. Does Berman see an even rockier relationship with Israel on the horizon? Check out The Times of Israel's ongoing liveblog for more updates. When I was a beginning harp student, the technical method I was learning - the Salzedo method - was something I took very seriously. From my very first harp lessons, I learned the important points of technique, as Salzedo taught it. I wasn't studying with Salzedo, of course, but my teacher, Marilyn Costello, was a student of his, and his method was what she taught her students. For a long time, I played the harp in innocent ignorance of the fact that there were other harp methods. In fact, it was a revelation to me in those early years when I discovered that most harpists in the world didn't use the Salzedo method. Truly, all the harpists I knew in the Philadelphia area were Salzedo method players, and it never occurred to me that this wasn't true across the wider harp-isphere. Once that realization hit, I went into what I'll call Stage Two of my education about harp methods. That was the stage where I believed that everyone who didn't play Salzedo method wasn't playing the right way and they would never be good harpists. Ah, the foolishness of youth! It didn't take me long to realize how ridiculous that was; after all, there were many harp legends I admired who weren't Salzedo players. Time for another outlook adjustment. My outlook has undergone many such adjustments in the ensuing years, mostly due to the evolution of my teaching philosophy. The basic underpinning for my thoughts on harp methods can be summed up like this: the method itself doesn't matter. What matters more is that you follow one. Without a method, your technique and your technique practice is merely a collection of skills. The method is the organizational plan that brings together skills, sound, ergonomics, and more, and unifies them with a cohesive set of why's and how's. A method doesn't leave you guessing about how to do something; it gives you the system to find solutions. In this episode, I will talk about the key points of technique that every method addresses and I'll explore a few of the differences in approach between some common harp methods and why each approach works. It's not about one way being right and the other wrong; it's about having a plan you can follow. I'm hoping that by expanding your ideas about technique, I can encourage you to consider how following a harp method will make everything about your technique finally make sense to you. In 2021, one day away from his fortieth birthday, Ty Cedars felt pain in one of his testicles and noticed it was enlarged. He contacted his physician, asking to be seen. The following day, en route to a birthday celebration, Ty received a call from his doctor, requesting that Ty come right away. The Alexandria, Louisiana-based schoolteacher soon underwent an ultrasound, then was directed to a urologist, who told Ty that he had testicular cancer. He took the news calmly and was told by the doctor that this was a very treatable cancer, but that he would have to go on a chemotherapy regimen called BEP. That is a cocktail consisting of cisplatin, beleomycin and etopicide. Ty said the worst part of the regimen was severe nausea. He vomited acid into his throat, which took away his voice. Ty also said he was extremely weak, and that resting wasn't easy. He could only watch television for ten to twenty minutes at a time. Even though he had a stack of books ready to read, reading was out of the question because it was too hard to focus on the small print for much more than a paragraph. As a singer in the local chorale, Ty found tranquility in choral music, which he accessed on YouTube. The chemotherapy did its job and Ty was told there was no evidence of disease. He was able to return to the classroom, can go to the gym, and his health is very close to what it was prior to his diagnosis. However, he occasionally suffers from neuropathy, and because of the damage to his throat from the chemo regimen, his singing voice has dropped from a baritone to a bass. Other than that, Ty Cedars is thrilled with the life he is leading. By way of advice, he says if you notice something with your health that seems abnormal, don't take chances and see your doctor. Because he was proactive, his cancer was detected at an early stage. Additional Resources: Support Group: The Testicular Cancer Society: https://www.testicularcancersociety.org

Lloyds Tour of Britain day two is in the books and it was another big, dominant sprint win for Olav Kooij. Behind the scenes, G was accusing Luke of attacking INEOS during a puncture while Luke was giving all his tactics away to Visma Lease-a-Bike. Both those stories will make sense when you listen. Brilliantly as well, the lads are sharing a hotel tonight - so they were able to pod in the same room! That does't happen very often. Ben Swift should have been in France right now, battling the weather and the best riders in the world on a brutal stage two at the Tour. But, alas, a shoulder fracture and subsequent illness ruled 'Swifty' out of INEOS' Tour selection, so Luke called him up to get his expert thoughts on the pod. Today's late climbs lived up to the hype - and while the favourites battled it out up front, we were delighted to see G hanging tough behind. Two days in and the Tour is already flying. After the punishing 94.7 miles of stage two, Payson and Sarah sit down with Cécile Lejeune, who is currently duking it out for first place in the overall despite having raced fewer than 10 gravel races in her entire career. They recap the day, which included multiple crashes, plenty of interpersonal drama, and a few good samaritans. They also talk about Sarah's issue with Cécile's snack choices, the multiple jobs Cécile holds down when she's not racing, and whether running (her first sport) features as much social intrigue as gravel. Plus, Cécile and Sarah teach Payson a lesson in humility. Today's episode is presented by SILCA. Use code: withpaceoregontrail to get 15% off. STAGE TWO: Wealth, Health And Happiness Challenge - Controlling That Activity In Your Brain In this episode of Join Up Dots, we dive into the power of decluttering your mind to reduce mental noise and overwhelm. Worries may feel real, but they are entirely self-created—no one is forcing you to worry. Instead of letting them take over, break them down into small, actionable steps. If there's nothing you can do, let them go and see what happens. Distractions, endless to-do lists, and information overload make it harder to focus on what truly matters. By setting mental boundaries, simplifying your environment, and prioritizing rest, you create the space needed for clarity and peace. A decluttered mind leads to a more focused, intentional life. Zig Ziglar Classic Lesson When I was young, stupid, and wondering when I would understand life, I often turned to my friend, Larry, for a road map. He always seemed to have what I needed - until the day he passed the torch. He knew I needed more. That's when he introduced me to Zig Ziglar's Stages of Competence: 1) Stage One is where we begin. We are “Unconscious Incompetent.” We don't know what we don't know. Yup. 2) Stage Two is called “Conscious Incompetent.” I spent a lot of time there. I used to say, “I have no idea what I'm doing - but at least I admit it.” 3) Stage Three is “Unconscious Competent.” I see that in my work. People who have no idea how good they are. 4) Stage Four is “Conscious Competent.” That was my goal. I wanted to know what I was doing - and KNOW it! Most people continue to another level some call “Conscious competence of unconscious competence.” The ability to recognize and develop Unconscious Competence in others. You will become who you were meant to be when you learn how to get there, do the work, and recognize your achievement. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In this week's episode, we dive into the beginnings of adolescence. As we know, girls have often surged ahead in their maturity, physically and emotionally. Which, in this stage, means not-so-great news. But, the sooner we see girls move into their teenage angsty-ness, the sooner they move out of it. For girls, we'll call these years the narcissistic years…because, IYKYK. For boys, we'll call him the Individual. Listen along as we dive into who he and she are in their middle school years. And our hope is that this conversation gives you hope as you buckle up for what we believe are some of the toughest years in a child's life…and a parent's, too...particularly for girls. Boy parents, yours is coming next!
