DISCO 1 THE DOOBIE BROTHERS Sala Key Soquel Rag () DISCO 2 FLEETWOOD MAC Landslide (8) DISCO 3 STEPHEN STILLS My Angel (3) DISCO 4 CROSBY & NASH Carry Me (1)  DISCO 5 NEIL YOUNG Stupid girl (6) DISCO 6 JONI MITCHELL In France They Kiss In Main Street (1) DISCO 7 JAMES TAYLOR Mexico (1) DISCO 8 AMERICA Sister Golden Hair ( )  DISCO 9 SOUTHER HILLMAN FURAY BAND Trouble In Paradise (Cara 1 Corte 1) DISCO 10 EAGLES One Of These Nights (1)  DISCO 11 TOM WAITS Eggs and sausages (In A Cadillac with Susan Michelson) (2) DISCO 12 ANDREW GOLD That’s Why I Love You (1?) DISCO 13 DAN FOGELBERG Old Tennessee (4) DISCO 14 THE DOOBIE BROTHERS Music Man (4)Escuchar audio

Send us a textIt all began in the mid-‘60s, when a young drummer named Kim Berly placed an ad in a Calgary newspaper, hoping to find a band to join. What he found was the start of something much bigger—a musical journey that would span more than five decades. Alongside fellow musicians Rich Dodson and Ronnie King, Kim became part of The Stampeders, a band that would go on to leave an indelible mark on the Canadian rock scene. With hits like “Carry Me,” “Devil You,” and the timeless classic “Sweet City Woman,” The Stampeders built a loyal following and have continued to perform around the world for nearly 60 years, drawing in new fans while keeping longtime supporters rocking. Their enduring appeal speaks to the power of their music and the deep connection they've built with their audience. This conversation with Kim Berly was recorded in November 2024, over Zoom, from his home in British Columbia. Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth Interview with “The Seekers” Founding Member, Keith Potger About Harvey's guest: Today's special guest, Keith Potger, is part of pop music royalty.  He was a founding member of one of the most popular and beloved vocal groups in music history: The Seekers.   With their signature fusion of folk and pop, their addictive instrumentations and perfect harmonies, and the amazing lead voice of Judith Durham, The Seekers were the first Australian music group to achieve global superstardom, selling well over 50 million records worldwide, and giving us such unforgettable songs as "I'll Never Find Another You", "A World of Our Own", "Morningtown Ride", “The Carnival is Over”, "Someday, One Day", "Georgy Girl", “When Will the Good Apples Fall”, and my personal favourite, “Walk With Me”, and so many more.    After The Seekers disbanded in 1968, our guest founded The New Seekers, who achieved worldwide success in the early 70s with hits including “Never Ending Song of Love”, "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me", “Look What They've Done to my Song, Ma”, and "Beg, Steal or Borrow".   In 1992, The Seekers reunited for their Silver Jubilee, and they toured internationally for many years, and recorded 2 platinum-selling albums: “Future Road” and “Morningtown Ride to Christmas”.   And in 2019, our guest, along with original members Athol Guy and Bruce Woodley, and with the addition of longtime producer, guitarist and singer Michael Cristiano, released an album as “The Original Seekers”, entitled “Back to our Roots”.  There's also a wonderful live concert DVD entitled, “The Seekers Golden Jubilee Farewell Tour”.  And most recently, a 3-CD compilation was released to mark the group's 60th anniversary, featuring the group's very last recording, “Carry Me”.    Our guest, as a member of The Seekers, has a prestigious, prominent and permanent place in music history.  The Seekers were honoured as Australians of The Year in 1967, the only group to have been given this acknowledgement.  They've been inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame, and the Music Victoria Hall of Fame, and in 1995 they were awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia.   In 2012, the Seekers were honoured by the Australian Post Office with their own postage stamp.  In 2013, The Seekers received the Ted Albert Award from the Australian Performing Rights Association for Outstanding Services to Australian Music.    And in 2014, our guest, along with his fellow group members, was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia.  But quite apart from all of that, our guest has had a highly successful career as a songwriter, record producer and solo performer.   He's released 3 solo albums: “Secrets of The Heart”, “Sunday” and “Smile Now”.  And he continues to perform in concert to sold out, wildly enthusiastic audiences. For more interviews and podcasts go to: https://www.harveybrownstoneinterviews.com/ To see more about Keith Potger, go to:https://www.keithpotger.com/https://www.theseekers.com.auhttps://www.facebook.com/keith.potger.3https://open.spotify.com/artist/7x2dNwstTzvpmY0E6GBzJuhttps://www.instagram.com/theseekerspartnershipofficial #KeithPotger   #harveybrownstoneinterviews

Titres interprétés au grand studio- Back and Forth Live RFI - X-Ego, extrait de l'EP Back & Forth- Suffri Live RFI Line Up : Nneka, guitare-voix. Titres interprétés au grand studio- Like a river part I Live RFI- All This While feat. Reinel Bakole, extrait de l'album Like a River- Luna Live RFI.Line Up : Nora Beisel – Voix, Jan Janzen – Clavier, Andre van der Heide – Batterie, Reinel Ardiles Lindemann - Trompette, Benjamin Schneider – Guitare, Luna Weise – Basse, Niklas Mündemann - Sax Tenor, Leonard Gaab - Percussions.Son : Mathias Taylor et Benoît Letirant.► Album Like a river (Batov Rd 2023).Voir le clip Let Go.

In the last Music Meditation message this week, Central's Pastoral Intern, Justin Arnold, will share the song "Carry Me, Carrie," performed by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show. You will be surprised that Shel Silverstein, best known for his children's books, The Giving Tree, Where the Sidewalk Ends, and A Light in the Attic, authored the entire album containing "Carry Me, Carrie."In the message, Vicar Justin points to Matthew 17:20, "He (Jesus) replied, 'Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'" Vicar Justin reminds us that if we allow Jesus to carry us, God will, one day at a time, move mountains like depression, anxiety, pain, and brokenness. As we allow Jesus to carry us, our entire life becomes a mission field because as we let Him love us, His love also works through us to love others. Listen Here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdGnrwJ-9-g&t=1sSocials:www.facebook.com/clcecolumbiawww.instagram.com/centrallutheran/www.centrallutheran.church

QUOTES FOR REFLECTION“When the apostles preached, they could assume even in their Pagan hearers a real consciousness of deserving the Divine anger… It was against this background that the Gospel appeared as good news. It brought news of possible healing to men who knew they were mortally ill.”~C.S Lewis, Author & Theologian, in The Problem of Pain “I found a place where the past was forgivenWhere my mistakes met a grace I couldn't earnAnd so I piled up my excuses and defenses in the nightThen I lit a match, stepped back and watched them burn.”~“Carry Me” by NeedtoBreathe“God is so faithful. He says, ‘If you bring me your sin, if you uncover it before me, I will cover it. I will do the very thing that you're trying to do in your own strength and power.'”~Juan Sánchez, Pastor & Author“If one is not genuinely offended by one's sin, there is no repentance. Repentance is painful, but it is a sweet pain. It demands brokenness of heart but always with a view to healing and restoration and a renewed vision of the beauty of Christ and forgiving grace.”~Sam Storms, Pastor & AuthorSERMON PASSAGEPsalm 32 (ESV)1 Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven,   whose sin is covered.2 Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity,   and in whose spirit there is no deceit. 3 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away   through my groaning all day long.4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;   my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah 5 I acknowledged my sin to you,   and I did not cover my iniquity;   I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”   and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah 6 Therefore let everyone who is godly   offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found;   surely in the rush of great waters,   they shall not reach him.7 You are a hiding place for me;   you preserve me from trouble;   you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;   I will counsel you with my eye upon you.9 Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding,   which must be curbed with bit and bridle,   or it will not stay near you. 10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked,    but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous,   and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

Kilder: Allan Sørensen, Mellemøst-korrespondent for Kristeligt Dagblad. Gyrith Ravn, tidl. dansk forlægger for forfatteren bag The Handmaid's Tale, Margaret Atwood. Today, we had the wonderful privilege of speaking with Frieda Hoffman, an incredible woman who wears MANY hats. Frieda has a background in social work and is a transformative coach and mediator, creative consultant, and entrepreneur. Her newest professional label is “author.” Last summer, Frieda published her first book, Carry Me: Stories of Pregnancy Loss, which features the stories of 19 women experiencing pregnancy loss and confronts the stigma around miscarriage. These honest narratives challenge the often lonely feelings brought on by pregnancy loss. Above all, Carry Me is a call for connection and openness, empowering readers to share their own stories of miscarriage. In this episode, Frieda shares what it was like to decide to start a fertility journey with her partner, the feeling of disconnect from her body, deciding to pause her fertility journey to reconcile those emotions, and then having a surprise pregnancy which unfortunately resulted in a miscarriage. She opens up about her decision to live child-free and connecting with other women who have walked similar paths. We were lucky enough to hear descriptive, raw, and vulnerable excerpts from Frieda's book, and Frieda even shares a special discount code for the Fruitful & Multiplying listeners to use when purchasing Carry Me! As Frieda notes, people who have been through a similar experience can have a deep bonding and connection, and once you share your own story, the gates open for others to share theirs. Definitely take a listen to this week's episode, and don't forget to check out Frida's book, Carry Me, as one or all of the stories will surely resonate with you.

- a special tribute to my lost son, Justin Lake McLellan, who would have been 45 on October 6th, 2022. Postscript It's Sunday, September 18th, 2022, and I have some good news. I have been a lifelong musician and songwriter since I was five. My first gig was at 14, playing banjo with a bluegrass band. But, the music died ten years ago, in 2012, when Justin left us. Honestly, I thought I would never perform in public again. Ten years have passed now. Last week, I experienced intense emotional and psychic healing. While listening to James Taylor's music for the first time in a decade, I felt my eyes moisten with the joy found in such heartfelt music. Then, one of JT's new songs, Carry Me on My Way, came on. This song led to a flood of Niagara falls, Joy-filled tears. At that moment, I realized I was ready to return to public performance with an extraordinary zeal for music returning as my heart burst wide open. Another Gift of a broken heart. Thank you, James! And Thank you, Justin Lake! Yesterday and Soft Piano in C maj by John Hobart - Music Design by Jason Inc.; “Carry Me on My Way” James Taylor. https://brucewaynemclellan.com/

Frieda Hoffman is a transformative coach and mediator, creative consultant, and entrepreneur with a passion for supporting women and courageous leadership. She's the author of Carry Me: Stories of Pregnancy Loss, which details real stories about pregnancy loss from real women. Carry Me explores universal themes of grief, it unpacks the physical, emotional, and financial challenges of loss and the paradox of feeling alone while sharing a common experience. In this episode, we talk about Frieda's experience with pregnancy loss and how she has gotten to a place of being at peace with not becoming a mother, the social stigma around pregnancy loss, the difficulty with finding support after a loss, how we can start to normalize dialogue around pregnancy loss, and so much more. Nearly everyone knows someone affected by pregnancy loss or we've experienced it ourselves, yet most people are not comfortable discussing it even amongst friends and family. I think you'll have a lot of takeaways from this conversation with Frieda that will be helpful for you or someone in your life who has experienced pregnancy loss.   To learn more visit https://nicolejardim.com/podcasts/normalizing-the-conversation-around-pregnancy-loss-frieda-hoffman/. Carry Me: 100 years of Handbags includes the Lady Dior made famous by Lady Diana, the Jackie and Kelly bags, the Baguette made famous on the Sex and the City TV show, and the Chanel Bag with shoulder straps that's described as one of the most iconic fashion creations of the 20th Century. The handbags are all from Italian private collections but they're not all by famous fashion houses. And they're not all what you'd call practical. I spoke to the exhibition organiser Dr Alex Susanna in Italy, and to Leanne Wickham from Whirinaki that is hosting the exhibition.

Crypt Creeper Tour – St. Andrews On-The-Red –Anglican Church Finally Part 2!!! It was a grey and dismal Autumn Day last October 2021 when 7 of us set out to explore the graveyard grounds surrounding the Oldest Stone Church, still in operation; The Haunted St. Andrew's Church. Built in 1844 it has survived plagues, wars, sorrow and devastation. Perched on River Rd, overseeing the flow of the Red River, there is so much historical significance above and below these grounds. It was an honour to tour the gravestones and pay respect to the lives that have passed, and read the headstones to reflect on the long and often lives cut short, often from the previous century. So many stories lie on these grounds. Once we reviewed the audio, we did find a few curious sounds (aside from the constant crunching of leaves under our feet) however; perhaps you listen in on our conversations and see if your ears can detect any ethereal voices???Here's a hint on what we found (although faint) and where in the recordings:-6:20 to 6:25 – Fast ‘Clicking' footsteps on pavement (yet by this point we were walking on the grounds together. -12:22 – sounds like a door slamming or a drum-12:26 – sound of a window sliding-22:13 to 22:17 - more weird knocking noises -30:02 – Laughter or birds?**Of interest** 33:20 - mark – Batteries dies on Recorder # 1, while we put in brand new batteries before we left the house. As well Jenn reported that she heard a knock on the church window from the inside. -34:13 – we all walked around the grounds in silence ‘Quiet Walk'-34:05 – 34:14 – First faint yelling, then singing sounds almost in a Scottish dialect. -34:30 – faint voice detected of a female, perhaps a girl saying “Will she Carry Me?”Thanks to all our Listeners who have stuck around and enjoyed our ghost shenanigans!Music by Ruesche-Soundshttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqXS...For more information on our podcast, or if you have a story to share or would like to just get in touch with us, shoot us an email at givinguptheghostpodcast@gmail.comPlease check us out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit and TikTok! Dubbed as having a vocal register similar to Adele (GAFFA) and for having a ‘Powerful and killer voice' from Lzzy Hale (Halestorm) and Phil Campbell (Motörhead) it's no wonder Clare Cunningham is making waves across the world with her music. Steve Cropper (Blues Brothers) who features on Clare's latest single 'Heart of Mine' has said ' Clare has such a tremendous voice. She makes me want to play because she sings with passion and feeling.' Cunningham, who was raised in Collon, Co. Louth, the smallest village in Ireland, had a flare for music and singing from a very young age. At just 5 she exclaimed ‘I want to be a rock star when I grow up' and she did just that! By the time Cunningham turned 6 she started learning classical piano playing Mozart by the age of 8 and continued to do so for the following 10 years until she pickedup the guitar and self taught at the age of 16. This was the start of her budding song-writing career, she was highly praised by Irelands own singer songwriter ‘Juliet Turner' and spent the week at a song-writing camp hosted by Turner herself. She saw the natural talent Cunningham possessed for writing and told her this was most definitely the path she needed to embark on.Cunningham took Turner's advice and moved to Dublin after high school where she secured a national diploma in Popular Music performance and technology. With this at hand she then headed overseas and studied at the ‘London College of music' (Vocal Tech) where Cunningham had her first TV appearance on ‘Sky TV' singing one of her own penned songs. Graduating with a BA Hon's Degree in Music Performance and Technology, Cunningham moved to Cardiff, Wales UK where she started up her own business and become a professional singer. She created a 70's classic rock line up called ‘Smokin Aces', who were both a covers and originals band and were very popular all across the country. It was thanks to ‘Smokin Aces' and Cunningham's decision to put up some material onto YouTube which landed her the position of lead singer for the very successful Swedish all female rock quintet ‘Thundermother'. The five hard-core rock chicks had major success in the rock charts and landed a signing with ‘Warner Music' Sweden for their first album ‘Rock n Roll Disaster.' A signing with ‘Despotz Records' (Sweden) then followed the release of their second album ‘Road Fever' gaining support from artists such as ‘Mötorhead, Airbourne, D.A.D, Zakk Wylde, Halestorm, Michael Monroe, In Flames, Opeth, Danko Jones and many more, touring all over Europe and playing some of the biggest European festivals including ‘Sweden Rock Festival', ‘Bravalla', ‘Alcatraz', ‘Getaway Rock Festival' and many more. Cunningham decided to leave Thundermother in January 2017 and is now putting all her focus on her solo career.Cunningham released her self -titled debut solo EP in November 2016, with ‘Low Medium High Records' selling copies all over the world and is just a taste of what Cunningham can do. She isn't afraid to tell the truth, get raw and use the spirits of country, folk and rock when it serves her greater purpose.Clare now resides in the USA (Nashville predominantly) where she is taking it by storm having already played at 'The Nantucket Project' (2018) and at world renowned 'Sundance film Festival' (2019) She had a song placement in a Lionsgate movie (Bernie the Dolphin 2) in December 2019. January 2020, she signed with Symphonic Distribution, distributing all her material through them. Clare's latest project has been recorded at iconic RCA studios, on music Row in Nashville. The band on the recording consist of Audley Freed on Guitar (Sheryl Crowe, The Chicks, Black Crows, Joe Perry) Steve Mackey on bass (Garth Brooke's, Dolly Parton) and Jared Kneale on drums (Lauren Daigle, Kacey Musgraves) The first single off the project 'Heart Of Mine' was released July 3rd, 2020, featuring special guest Steve Cropper. To date, Clare's achievements include : ‘Aint your momma' (title of album and song Clare co-wrote with Rhonda Funk) is up for consideration for a GRAMMY nomination 2021 ‘Best Alternative Song' for ‘Carry Me' (World Songwriting Awards, spring 2020) 'Best Pop Song' for 'Heart Of Mine' (World Songwriting Awards, summer 2020) ‘Songwriter of the year' (silver) at the International Singer Songwriter Awards (ISSA)‘Folk Americana artist of the Year' (Josie awards 2020) ‘Folk Americana song of the year for ‘Angel of the Emerald Isle (Josie awards 2020)

If you, like me, need a little encouragement as we start this Monday morning, I pray these words do that for you. I have been awake since 4:00 am spending time with the Lord, going over all of my worries, fears, praises, requests. 4:00 am is always my "wonderful" time, in the dark, to fear the worst. The light of day and the presence of the Lord help me to bring the truth into better focus. This morning, as I was beginning my praying, I felt led to turn on some worship music on shuffle. The first song that came on really spoke to me, Carry Me by Josh Wilson. I need this song on repeat today to remind me that God can carry me through all that is happening.  If you feel burdened and would like prayer, you can connect with me on my Facebook page, The Care Circle.  Lord, help me today to be your calming presence, to be a light in the dark for others. Lord, help me to by your hands and feet to those around me, whether in my close proximity or in my relationships or online connections. You have us in the palm of your hand. Thank you for loving us so. I will walk boldly today, knowing you love me and will carry me through.  Caring, Karen

We thought it was about time we heard about the life of an Independent artist from the perspective of a producer. Wyld (Paul Kirby) is from Guernsey but now based in Manchester in the North of England. He started out as a drummer, progressed to making tracks and doing remixes before making his big break collaborating with other independent artists from all over the World including New Zealand and the U.S. Paul speaks to us about his journey, the highs - getting to the point of earning a wage from his streaming income, to the lows - being broke and feeling like giving up while struggling with his mental health. It's an illuminating chat that we hope will inspire you to collaborate outside of your genre, keep on keeping on, and knowing your limits mentally and getting help when you need it. Paul also gives us some great practical tips for getting your tracks on Spotify playlists and how to approach other artists for collaborations. Check out Wyld's latest single, Carry Me, which is out now.

As we focus this week on growing in trusting God, today we'll explore the concept of obedience. Trust and obedience are directly related. Willing, joyful obedience comes from a place of deep-rooted trust in the character and intentions of your God. When we learn to trust the heart of the Father, obedience is a natural response to whatever he asks. May you grow today in your willingness and excitement to quickly obey the Lord as you learn of his love and goodness. Our Scripture for today comes from Isaiah 1:19, and today's worship is Carry Me by Rita Springer. We recently announced a really exciting new project we're hoping to launch January 1st, called Primeros15. For the first time we'll be offering our daily devotional for Spanish speaking believers in their original language. If God is stirring your heart to give First15 to another believer just like you, you can do so here. First15 is a daily devotional written and recorded by Craig Denison. If you would like to learn more about the First15 app, books, blogs, videos and our other resources, please visit first15.org. You can always reach out to us on our contact page on the website. And, if you feel called to support First15 financially, you may give here.

Aug. 30, 2014. Susan Stockdale appears at the 2014 Library of Congress National Book Festival in Washington, D.C. Speaker Biography: Susan Stockdale's relationship with colorful scenes started with the early inspiration of the greens and vegetation she was surrounded by during her childhood in Florida and Ireland. Her love of words was influenced by the rhythmic teachings of her poet mother. Her passions continued as she majored in art at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Now an author and illustrator, Stockdale specializes in picture books about nature, including "Some Sleep Standing Up," "Carry Me!" "Fabulous Fishes" and "Bring On the Birds." She has been recognized by awards from the American Library Association, Parents' Choice, the National Science Teachers Association and Bank Street College of Education. Her newest picture book, "Stripes of All Types/Rayas de todas las tallas" (Peachtree), gives young readers rhythmic, colorful facts about the many reasons stripes are found in nature; as an educational component, the book's glossary offers more in-depth explanations about each featured animal.
