Life is changing rapidly, thank you very much AI, and increasing your capacity is paramount for your new way of living. Now is your chance to get your train car all set up so you can start adding other train cars (Sunday Baskets®) and be efficient like Rockafeller. Change Why like Rockafeller? This man from PA, refined oil. After refining the oil he had to transport the oil. He placed the oil in barrels. In order to be more efficient, he asked his workers to see how little material they could used to "seal" the metal bands around the barrels. Once he was efficient in that he questioned how could be be more efficient in transportation. Initially the barrels were transported on train cars but they were heavy and lost some oil along the way. So he came up with an oil tanker. The tanker carried a lot more oil without leaking. Curiosity How can you too be curious about everything you do in your homes to increase efficiency? What are your current systems and expectations and are they set for efficiency? I think about my robot vacuum. Grayson's new school has them play outside daily which means dirty shoes so I run it a little more often. But once the baby starts crawling, I plan to run it nightly. I adjust my cleaning standards based on my comfort level of cleanliness and the current phase of my family. I want you to always be asking yourself "Why am I doing this?" "Can someone else do it?" Ansvarig utgivare: Christofer Ahlqvist Hosted on Acast. And Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us, or for our adversaries?” 14 And he said, “No; but I am the commander of the army of the Lord. Now I have come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped and said to him, “What does my lord say to his servant?” 15 And the commander of the Lord's army said to Joshua, “Take off your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.MEET TRILLIA NEWBELLTrillia Newbell is the author of several books including, A Great Cloud of Witnesses, Sacred Endurance, If God Is For Us, Fear and Faith, and the children's books, Creative God, Colorful Us and God's Very Good Idea.

Surveys suggest that younger generations of Christians are not reading the Bible regularly. It's a complicated book, full of tricky bits and things which might seem culturally wrong to our 21st century ears. So how can we encourage our kids not only to read it but to grow to love it? Today's guest, Trillia Newbell, shares helpful thoughts for us all, whether we have babies, teens or anything in between. She is the author of many books for children and adults including God's Very Good Idea and The Big Bide Welcome. When she isn't writing, she's encouraging and supporting other writers as the Acquisitions Director at Moody Publishers. Adam Griffin, Chelsea Griffin, and Cassie Bryant are joined by Trillia Newbell to have a conversation about how we can help our kids study the Bible.Questions Covered in This Episode:Tell us why you had a vision for some Bible Studies for kids? Why do you think that there aren't many people making resources for kids 8-12 years old? How do we make the transition from reading story Bibles to our kids having personal Bible study? Are these resources something that parents or church teachers leaders could use with a family or a class as well alongside their kids? What would you say to a mom or dad who feels like they don't know the Bible well enough themselves to be able to help their kids learn to study the bible? What has Bible study looked like in your family? How would you encourage parents who are facing resistance at home right now? For the new bible study you have coming out this spring, why did you pick Romans 8 (God is for Us) for kids to study? If parents are just getting started in discipling their families, is there a part of the bible you'd suggest they start with? What practical tips would you give a kids who is looking to start Bible study on their own?Guest Bio:Trillia Newbell is the author of several books including, A Great Cloud of Witnesses, Sacred Endurance, If God Is For Us, Fear and Faith, and the children's books, Creative God, Colorful Us and God's Very Good Idea. Do you catch yourself being more prideful than you'd like to admit? Pride is a difficult battle for all of us, and today Trillia Newbell and Natalie Abbott help us learn from Scripture how we can war well against pride. Looking at John the Baptist's famous words in John 3:30, they walk us through their own struggles with pride, why John the Baptist was able to say what he did about Jesus, and the freedom awaiting us when we worship the Lord for who he is and see ourselves as he sees us: covered in Jesus's righteousness. This month's memory verse: “He must become greater; I must become less.” — John 3:30Today's Dwell guest: Trillia Newbell is the author of several books including A Great Cloud of Witnesses, Sacred Endurance, If God Is For Us, Fear and Faith, and the children's books, Creative God, Colorful Us and God's Very Good Idea. “I want to help parents engage further with their children about what it means to welcome and love the way Jesus does.” Today we hear from Trillia Newbell about her children's book, The Big Wide Welcome. She brings to our attention the sin of partiality or favoritism and how important it is for us as parents to check our own hearts in order to model this for our children. Kids will learn that Christians and churches are called to be like Jesus, fully welcoming people so they can come to know the Good News. SCRIPTURES Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14 NIV My dear brothers and sisters, how can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others? For example, suppose someone comes into your meeting dressed in fancy clothes and expensive jewelry, and another comes in who is poor and dressed in dirty clothes. If you give special attention and a good seat to the rich person, but you say to the poor one, “You can stand over there, or else sit on the floor”—well, doesn't this discrimination show that your judgments are guided by evil motives? James 2:1-4 NLT Yes indeed, it is good when you obey the royal law as found in the Scriptures: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you favor some people over others, you are committing a sin. You are guilty of breaking the law. James 2:8-9 NLT The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” John 4:7-10 NIV BOOK BY TRILLIA NEWBELL The Big Wide Welcome LINK Trillia Newbell MOMS IN PRAYER · New to Moms in Prayer? See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Jeff and Chelsea are joined by Trillia Newbell and Dan Darling to discuss what it means to bring a holistic pro-life ethic to bear on this current cultural moment. On Thursday July 23rd, 2015 the Hermetic Hour with host Poke Runyon will present a discussion on the Astrolabe as a magical device. Those of you who have seen John Carter will recall the medallion of the Holy Therns that enabled them, and Carter, to transmit themselves to other planets in the solar system. It was a magical device that required a conjuration to make it work. There is a very impressive scene inside a Thern temple with an illuminated solar system on the transparent floor that shows the vectors and the formulas. (if you can read Barsoomian.) Now this was created by an earthling screenwriter, so do we, or did we, have anything like the Thern Medallion in our magical tradition to inspire him? Yes, the Astrolabe -- a marvelous hand held instrument from Classical times that could locate celestial objects (stars) calculate their exact altitude and position. Primarily used for navagation it was also used by astrologers and magicians. Combined with the Soma Sophia (the completely gridded celestial sphere, it also becomes a device to project consciousness (like the Thern Medallion) to other worlds. With Soma Sophia derived formulas of course. This is all Sixth Degree material but perhaps it will inspire some of you to keep climbing Mithra's ladder, So, if you are curious to know how wizards explore the heavens, tune in and we will plot a course and set sail.
