The Tricia Goyer podcast is a truly uplifting and inspiring show that offers listeners a unique perspective on finding joy in life, no matter the circumstances. Hosted by Tricia Goyer, this podcast features a variety of guests who share their personal stories and insights, offering encouragement and inspiration to all who tune in. In her book "Walk it Out," Tricia proved herself to be an inspiration, and now with her podcast, she continues to spread positivity and hope.

One of the best aspects of The Tricia Goyer podcast is the wide range of perspectives and encouragement that are shared by the guests. Tricia does a fantastic job of bringing on guests from various backgrounds, ensuring that listeners can find someone they relate to or learn something new from. The stories shared are often heartwarming and thought-provoking, reminding us all to have faith in the face of tragedy or adversity. The connection between Tricia and her guests is also evident throughout each episode, creating an intimate atmosphere that draws listeners in.

However, like any podcast, there are also some drawbacks to consider. One potential downside is that not every episode may resonate with every listener. While the diversity of guests is a strength, it also means that not every story will speak directly to every person's experiences or circumstances. Additionally, while Tricia does an excellent job as a host, some may find her style to be too reliant on personal anecdotes or religious references. This could potentially limit the appeal of the podcast for those looking for more general or secular content.

In conclusion, The Tricia Goyer podcast is a must-listen for those seeking inspiration and encouragement in their lives. With its diverse range of guests and heartfelt conversations, this show provides a ray of sunshine on even the cloudiest days. While it may not be for everyone due to its reliance on personal anecdotes and religious references at times, those who connect with this style will undoubtedly find themselves inspired by Tricia Goyer and her guests. Overall, this podcast is a new favorite for many and is definitely worth tuning in to for a boost of positivity and hope.

We all want to know what looks best on us, especially if it means making our closets (and lives) a little more streamlined. While the idea has been around since the 80s, color analysis is making a major comeback, as can be seen all over TikTok. Over two decades ago, Shari Braendel took her passion for fashion and helping others and turned it into a thriving color analysis organization. With no formal business training, Shari has grown the company from 12 consultants to over 400 since 2010. As a woman of faith, Shari's business is based on the Biblical perspective of beauty and faith, making it different from other color analysis programs. Shari believes that we're all fearfully and wonderfully made, yet we're all created differently. No woman should ever feel less than beautiful because she doesn't have a particular body type. Shari and her team are dedicated to helping women love the body God gave them without making them feel inadequate. Shari is a color analysis queen and was one of the first 50 women in the U.S. to be trained in color analysis. But her passion for fashion and helping others goes beyond just color analysis appointments. After seeing the profound impact one of her color workshops had on a Texas nonprofit that served victims of sex trafficking, Shari founded the Women Matter Initiative (WMI), which works in conjunction with nonprofit organizations to serve women healing from crisis or distress. Through these free color analysis workshops, Shari and her WIM ambassadors aim to teach women how to dress with confidence and dignity. Letters to Grief is a collection of letters I wrote to grief. I wrote it for you. For all of you who have known grief as a close companion, an intimate friend. A shadow. I wrote it for those of you who have not yet experienced its acute pangs, but have watched people cringe with the weight of its burden. I wrote it not to dictate how people feel or should feel, but to open a discussion about grief's all-consuming and ever-changing nature. Its paradoxes and its unexpected qualities. I wrote it for those who have grieving friends and don't know what it's like, and for those who wonder when it will pass.I wrote it because grief is a fickle creature, and often despised. Misunderstood and underestimated. Feared, even. Some think it can be conquered. Overcome. I disagree. From my limited experience, grief is not something that passes, at least not in this lifetime. It's not something a person can graduate from and walk away, unchanged. It's cyclical, like the moon. It waxes and wanes, ever present. Our culture has been lying to women. The world defines female empowerment as believing in yourself or looking within to find the power to succeed. But what happens when women grow weary from trying to do it all? Jesus offers a better way. Becky Beresford used to believe and even promoted some of society's lies to women. But in God's kindness, Becky came to the end of herself and embraced healing truth found in the Bible. Tired and frustrated with self-dependence, Becky wants to be God-dependent. In She Believed HE Could So She Did, Becky invites you to join her as she dismantles commonly held misconceptions and lies so we can live in real freedom and godly confidence. This is a brave journey toward freedom as we learn to experience Christ-centered empowerment–not by believing in ourselves . . . but by trusting in our faithful God. Becky devotes chapters to the most common messages promoted by our culture and gives readers dependable biblical truths grounded in the gospel: Believe in Your God vs. Believe in Yourself Speak THE truth vs. Speak Your Truth Follow Your King vs. Follow Your Heart You Be His vs. You Be You The Future is Found Together vs. The Future is Female And so much more! Together we will discover how to rely on the Holy Spirit in order to battle cultural lies, put the enemy in his place, and live boldly for Jesus. We will be lifted of the burden to find strength in ourselves and reassured of the hope, joy, and power that comes from living in Christ. We don't have to be the savior of our own stories. Many don't have words for what they're feeling, sensing, or believing about themselves. They often don't have anyone like them to help them work through their struggles. Forced to cope on their own, they end up feeling isolated. Adoption advocate and adoptive mom Susan TeBos has watched her own children go through these struggles. Often she wished for a voice that would resonate with adopted teens--her own and others--and authentically meet them where they are. She found not one voice, but many: over thirty adopted teens and young adults. We've Been There gathers their stories, giving readers a front-row seat to people with similar stories and feelings. This book is an unprecedented glimpse into the unfiltered feelings, thoughts, experiences, and unanswered questions that well up in the heart of every person with adoption in their story. From people who have been there as adopted kids, this book not only invites adopted teens to bring their concerns into the open but also helps them process how they feel and offers them hope on the other side. You should pray in the morning. You should write out your prayers. You should make prayer lists and pray through them every day. You should pray with others or out loud. We've all heard the "you shoulds" of prayer from pulpits, presenters, and well-meaning friends. But when none of these ways to pray feel natural, what's next? Janet Holm McHenry has studied prayer extensively, and the one thing she knows for sure is that there's no one-size-fits-all way to pray. Instead, there are different styles of prayer—and by discovering the style most instinctive to each individual personality, staying in touch with God throughout the day becomes simple and all the more joyful. In this book, the author helps readers determine their particular praying personality by examining the praying styles of biblical people, spiritual gifts, and various ideas about personality, including the classic temperaments, the Enneagram, and more. McHenry includes scores of bulleted suggestions for developing a praying lifestyle that works for individuals. She has also created a Praying Personality Quiz for readers (available in the book and online) to help narrow down the style that will most naturally fit into how they process a prayer life. Whether a longtime Christian who has tried various prayer strategies but can't keep up or a new believer looking to learn about this spiritual discipline, every reader who dives into this book will come away with a renewed prayer life and a greater understanding of who God created them to be. Nearly a decade ago, during National Novel Writing Month, bestselling nonfiction author Sarah Arthur let her imagination run free when she began writing Once a Queen, a novel that had been living in her imagination since the early 2000s. On January 30, 2024, her sparkling YA fantasy will be published by WaterBrook, the Penguin Random House imprint behind the Wingfeather Saga, the bestselling middle-grade series which has sold more than one million copies. Arthur's first venture into the world of fantasy makes sense, as her extensive knowledge of Lord of the Rings and active involvement in the C.S. Lewis Festival and Madeleine L'Engle Writing Retreats can be felt with the flip of every page — the story is richly woven, atmospheric, and captures the cozy magic akin to classics like The Secret Garden, The Chronicles of Narnia, and A Wrinkle in Time, while also telling a fresh and delightful world-weaving tale for wonder-hungry young minds. Readers are transported to the English countryside alongside Eva, the American teenage protagonist who secretly wishes fairy tales were true. Nevertheless, while spending the summer at her grandmother's mysterious English manor, unusual happenings in the gardens at night lead Eva to wonder if portals to alternate universes exist…and if her grandmother was once a queen in one of those worlds. Arthur was working through grief while writing this novel, and she hopes the intricate themes of generational wounds, redemption, and imagination will ease the young minds that pick up Once a Queen. In a recent survey, I read that while most U.S. adults understand self-care as balancing all health aspects, an overwhelming 41% are engulfed in daily responsibilities, making self-care a daunting task. When do people succeed? When they have support. 60% of adults believe having support is critical to prioritizing self-care. We are social beings who thrive with encouragement and companionship on our health journey. Interestingly, the survey highlights exercise, sleep, and mental health as the top areas of self-care. These are crucial yet often overlooked components of a healthy lifestyle. Moreover, more than half of the respondents view self-care days as a temporary solution, emphasizing the importance of cultivating small, daily habits for lasting change. And I'm here to tell you that EVERYTHING can change when you seek others to help you. In 2023, I never planned on going on a health journey. Truthfully, I just got to the place where I was tired of being overweight and exhausted. I knew another diet wasn't going to work. Instead, I turned to my friend Amber Lia and asked her to be my health coach. I was excited because her coaching was free. But the best part is that Amber had been where I was. She's lost 90lbs and has kept it off for five years. I started my health journey at the end of March and lost over 80 pounds. I leaned into the program, and I turned to Amber for help. She didn't judge me. Instead, she gently guided me. With Habits of Health, most of their coaches began as clients, providing empathy and understanding rooted in personal experience. This program isn't just about offering tools. It's about approaching wellness in a way that encompasses mind, body, and spirit. And the coaches guide your way. It's like a cheerleading squad on your wellness journey!  That's a long introduction leading up to today's guest. Soon after I started my health journey, I started coaching others--primarily for accountability. As Amber says, "The system is already developed. Coaching is just caring and sharing." I love that! Then, I met Jamil through Amber. Amber has looked up to Jamil for help and advice for years. When I started as a health coach, I attended trainings led by Jamil. I soon learned that Jamil is both wise and inspiring. After spending time with Jamil, I WANT to do more for myself and others! God has good plans for us, and I want to follow them well. Because I've received so much encouragement, I asked if Jamil could encourage you through this podcast. Jamil is inspiring but also practical. Michigan-born and Florida-raised by a close-knit family, Gary's life would forever be changed by two events: First, the day he placed his faith in Jesus Christ, and second, the phone call he got to work with MercyMe, the Christian band that brought the world, “I Can Only Imagine,” as their merchandise manager. Both his relationship with Christ and friendship with the band would have an eternal impact. Gary is the biological dad of three boys and the adopted dad of a forever Colombian daughter. Their family is rounded out by Ecmo, Gary's service dog. In December of 2019, Gary fell ill, his body in septic shock after an advanced case of the flu. In the days to follow, he survived a number of life-threatening moments including coding and being revived. After falling into a coma, Gary's family had to make the unfathomable decision to attempt to save his life by agreeing for the doctors to amputate both his hands and feet. Through his long and arduous recovery, Gary had to make the difficult, daily choice to discover a new life that, today, he believes was always waiting on him to experience. A two decades-plus friendship with Grammy-nominated Christian band MercyMe was the catalyst for them to introduce Gary's story to the world through the music video for their hit song “Say I Won't.” Today, when Gary isn't at home with his family in central Florida, he is out on the road sharing his story to churches, conferences, and conventions of how he discovered the life God always had waiting on him, in spite of personal tragedy and trauma. Gary invites everyone who hears his message of grace and hope to profess, “I will have no more bad days! Say I won't!” “At the end of the day, I'm going to be okay. I'm going to have hands and legs again. I'm going to be playing with my kids. I'm going to walk my daughter down the aisle. I'm going to be able to do all these things because we have a really really good God. And if one person gets to go to Heaven because of anything I go through, then bring it on!” Connect with Gary on his website, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and sign up for his newsletter on his website. More about No More Bad Days When tragedy struck, Gary Miracle could have given up. Instead, he chose a different perspective, discovering depths of grace and heights of hope he had only ever heard of before. At first, he thought he had a bad case of the flu—some kind of bug he'd caught from one of his kids. But Gary Miracle's illness turned out to be an infection so severe that the only way to save his life was amputating both arms below the elbows and both legs below the knees. The loss of his limbs was not the only challenge Gary had to face. Excruciating difficulties marked his family life as well. In 2020, the Grammy-nominated Christian band MercyMe shared Gary's story with the world through the music video to their hit song “Say I Won't,” and he emerged as a powerful voice for the grace of God. In the spirit of Romans 8:28, understanding that God works through all circumstances, Miracle has responded in faith by helping and encouraging others who have faced personal challenges. Today, he travels the world, sharing the hope-filled message that, through Christ in light of eternity, there are no more bad days. Regardless of your circumstances, every day can be a new beginning. If you have suffered loss, experienced trauma, or been forced to rebuild your life from the ground up, this book is for you. He enjoyed his time there and still consults part-time, but being able to pursue his passion for creative writing has been a blessing. Many years ago, while writing on a very limited basis, he came within a hair's breadth of getting a science fiction novel published. Since embarking on my new journey with much more time and focus, he has published that (very long) book and a sequel, along with six religious historical fiction novels (which were a surprise to me). M.D. House has gotten award recognition, including a Chaucer Award finalist nod for The Barabbas Legacy, along with a favorable review from Kirkus for The Servant of Helaman, a spy thriller. M.D. House's schedule is filled with new projects, including his first fantasy novel, provisionally titled Crossroads of Sundering Memory, the sequel to The Servant of Helaman, and a pair of screenplays. Once they find him, an unexpected trip outside the Roman empire into the mysterious northern nation of Sarmatia expands her understanding of God's global efforts to gather his children to their Savior. It also reveals in starker detail the pernicious, pervasive attempts by the adversary to disrupt the work and turn the children of God toward evil and superstition. Pride is her own weakness, and she must learn how to temper and control it, so that her mind might be open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. What surprises await her as she travels great distances with the Lord's beloved apostle to spread the message of the gospel? How differently does God see her life than what she has assumed? If our chaotic culture has left you drained of joy, here's some good news: there is a way to get it back—and keep it. Let's face it. Joy is becoming as scarce in our culture as fresh eggs at the grocery store. And yet, He did promise us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. So how do we go about seizing the good life from the jaws of depression and hopelessness that threaten us now? Shellie Rushing Tomlinson has walked this path and knows the way. With the Gospel according to John as her roadmap—and plenty of personal stories, insights, and a healthy dollop of humor for good measure—she can help you not only rediscover the peace and joy found in friendship with Jesus, the Lover of your soul, but maintain it over the long haul. God never intended for you to hold on to a dry faith with chewed-up fingernails. You really can know peace and joy in the middle of our anxious and angry culture.
