Are we Raising Lazy? Dr. Phil speaks with a helicopter mom about her extreme parenting and its impact on her son's future. He also examines Gen-Zers who are quietly quitting. Do they really think that approach will work in the long run? Dr. Phil will speak with Gina, who says she wears the label of a hovering helicopter mom to her 13-year-old son Stanton as a “badge of honor." Gina says she proudly goes to great lengths to protect her teen son, even if that means carrying a GUN when they're out together. Then young adults claim they are not lazy at all; they are just misunderstood and are ready for their older generation counterparts. Dr. Phil will speak with Michelle, a veteran trial lawyer and law firm owner, as well as married small business owners Lucie and Eric, who say they are concerned about the future of the young workforce. The debate begins when Dr. Phil introduces Toyin, who says her Lazy Girl Job is not about working less it's about protecting her time and energy. Dr. Phil also speaks with Ryan, a Labor Law Attorney who says he is a champion for the Quiet Quitting and Lazy Girl Job movement. Plus, Dr. Phil speaks with Shyra, who claims she doesn't think jobs are necessary at all. Special thanks to our sponsors! Support the brands that support us! Hey guysss,Welcome back! In today's episode, we start our Salvation Series! WOOOOO! In the first episode of this series, we delve into the meaning of sin, misconceptions surrounding it, and the need to stay consistent in our awareness of God's grace. Sin is beyond what we believe is wrong, but rather what God says is wrong. In 1 Corinthian 6:9-11 God reveals through Paul the unrigtheous ways we must turn from due to our salvation received through the death of Jesus Christ. Sin sometimes can be very overwhelming to overcome, you may wonder if you could ever defeat it or turn away from things that pull you away from God. The answer is yes, you can defeat, with God. On our own we would never be able to but, with God, all things are possible beyond our imagination. 1 John 5:4-5 NKJV''For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God''Have a blessed WeekLots of loveFrom your fave part-time podcasters x#roadto100 (CASH APP US!)#Justthe3ofus is a Christian podcast hosted by you guessed it... 3 fun, loving and outgoing girls. Hey guysss,Welcome back! In today's episode, we reflect on the true meaning of Easter, its significance and Jesus' death on the cross; the perfect gift from a perfect heavenly Father. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son to die for our sins, who else can love you like this...huuuhhh ( it's giving John 3:16). This easter we encourage to truly reflect on the life, death and ressurection of Jesus Christ, the foundation of our faith is based on this. Show gratitude, reverence and hope in God and in the fact that the blood that was shed on the cross truly freed you.Romans 10:8-11 NKJV But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”Have a blessed EasterLots of loveFrom your fave part-time podcasters x#Justthe3ofus is a Christian podcast hosted by you guessed it... 3 fun, loving and outgoing girls. Hey guysss,Welcome back! In today's episode, Tomi has some questions for us (yaaaaay!), we reflect on our red and green flags, and speak on the topic of 'second chances'. Ephesians 4:32 says ''And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.'', encouraging as to be compassionate towards others, truly forgiving which relates to second chances. Christ gave us a second chance (multiple chances in fact), so who are to not give second chances to people, BUT! wisdom has to be exercised because a second chance may not mean what you believe it to be, it could also speak to your heart posture towards that person, not thinking or wishing evil upon them but rather praying that God sees them and draws them near to Him. Don't run back to toxic environments in the name of second chances.... apply context and wisdom to everything and most importantly pray and allow God to guide you, He genuinely wants to do life with you. Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV''Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness''Have a blessed week!Lots of loveFrom your fave part-time podcasters x#Justthe3ofus is a Christian podcast hosted by you guessed it... 3 fun, loving and outgoing girls. Hey guysss,Welcome back! In today's episode, we talk about the different ways we have come to know God since we first gave our lives to Him. As important as it is to know God, don't forget that God wants to know you too. He wants to look at you and see His child. But how do we walk in this daily? If we look at Matthew 7:22-23 (nkjv of coursseee) it says '' Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'' What I love about these verses is the revelation that reliance and emphasis on our works will not move God to know. Once again it's all about our heart posture, humbling ourselves before God is the start, obedience comes next. 1 Samuel 15:22 NKJV '' So Samuel said:“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams''Have a blessed week!Lots of loveFrom your fave part-time podcasters x#Justthe3ofus is a Christian podcast hosted by you guessed it... 3 fun, loving and outgoing girls. Hey guysss,Welcome back! In today's episode, we talk about transitional periods in our life and how we approach it. We also delve into the different types of support we appreciate while going through these changes in life, and the importance of relying on God. Journeying through changes in life, and accepting it can seem quite daunting at first. This is because we do not see everything the way God sees it. God knows our past, present and future, so if you're struggling with this, the verse below is for you. It may not be easy, but it will be worth!Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV '' Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.''Have a blessed week!Lots of loveFrom your fave part-time podcasters x#Justthe3ofus is a Christian podcast hosted by you guessed it... 3 fun, loving and outgoing girls. Hey guysss,Welcome back! In today's episode, we talk about purity, not only from the perspective of abstinence but also our heart posture. We also talk about our season of singleness and our desire for our partners overshadowing our desire for God (a dangerous game btw, don't ever play it). But fr! it is very easy to place your partner before God, if your heart is not fully set and grounded in Him first. This is why that seaosn of being single is so crucial to building the right foundation with Christ before your partner comes along. If you have found yourself placing your partner above God, seek guidance and counsel from God and the godly wsidom He has placed around you, whether that be friends, family, pastors and so forth. He will surely lead you down the right path. Hebrews 13:5 lets us know that God will never leave us or forsake us, He is always there, ready to hear His children. So never forget your identity in Christ and know that you have a Father ready to guide you, all it requires is to go before Him with a humble heart.Matthew 5:8 NKJV ''Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God''Have a blessed week!Lots of loveFrom your fave part-time podcasters xP.S - Happy Birthday Doyin! Hey guysss, Welcome back! In today's episode we talk about having a scarcity mindset and how to combat that. Accepting our limitation as humans can sometimes cause us to not believe or have total faith in the God that we serve. But we must remind ourselves that as children of God, we are joint heirs with Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, and that it is our heritage to exceed and excel beyond what we believe we are capable of. Having an abundance mindset helps us to trust in God, His plans and will for our lives; and in general it's also a healthy way of living! So if you struggle with this our prayer is that may God start to shift your mindset in order to fully accept what He has for you. Hey guyss, Welcome back! In today's episode, we talk about repentance and why it is viewed so harshly. We also talk about how to encourage others to repent. To repent is to turn away from your old sins/lifestyle that is not of God. If you struggle with accepting repentance as a form of love, just remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, cleansing us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9) Ezekiel 18:30-32 NKJV “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways,” says the Lord God. “Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!” Have a blessed, stress-free, worry-free, anxiety-free week! Hey guyss, Welcome back! In today's episode, we talk about how to steward creativity as a christian with our amazing friend Adam! Adam is a serial Entreprenuer and founder of Jetwell, as well as a talented musician. Stewardship is part of our purpose, no matter what field/walk of life you are in , we all have to give an account to God at the end of it all. To be a steward is to look after/manage/care for the gifts/ purpose/ assignments/ blessings God has placed in your hands Genesis 2:15 states '' Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it'' , just as much as Adam was to tend to the environment God placed him in, so are we to do the same. Colossians 3:23 -24 NKJV And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. Hey guyss, Welcome back! In today's episode, we talk about choosing God's will over our own, denying our flesh and things we have had to let go off since coming to Christ. This is a process we all have to go through at some point in our journey and each one looks different but ultimately all for the glory of God and our own good! Even Jesus said ''.....nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done'' (Luke 22:42). God's will is greater than anything we could ever imagine in our lives, if you're struggling to see this, ask Him to reveal it to you and He will. God loves you and wants to walk beside you in life, holding your hand, guiding you step by step. So, enjoy the process and be real and honest with Him. James 1:2-4, NKJV My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. *sings* when will you marryy...when will you marrraayyy Hey guyss, Welcome back! In today's episode, we talk about how to view one another as brothers/sisters in Christ upon first meeting without marrying each other in our heads. Chai! this one isn't easy, but with Christ everything is possible. The gift of marriage is beautiful desire that has to be stewarded properly in order to truly walk in its' covenant blessings/protection . One way we can steward this desire in a healthy manner is to deepen our relationship with God. Sometimes the intimacy we crave from others can be a result of desiring a deeper connection in general, and who better to connect with than the Almighty God whose love is unfailing and unconditional. So, whenever you catch yourself desiring horizontal connections, examine your vertical connection first and then let God order your steps. Hey guyss, Welcome back! In today's episode, we reflect on our friendship with questions from HOA cards by Reuel (definitely check them out cause they ate……no crumbs). Friendships are a key part of our lives in which we should invest in, physically, mentally, emotionally and most of all spiritually. Throughout the bible we are reminded of what true, genuine and godly friendships should look like . An example of this is given in the book of 1 Samuel, from chapter 18 onwards, where we witness the birth of Jonathan and David's friendship, very much rooted in sacrificial love. One thing we must always try to remember is that 1 Corinthians 13 isn't just for married couples!! Ecclesiastes 4:9-10The Value of a Friend Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. Have a blessed week! Hey guyss, Welcome back! In today's episode, we talk about faith faith faith! Starting with a game of Faith Maths, what are some faith math equations y'all have, let us know in the comments. We also talk about things we have surrendered/given to God for greater impact and (transparency moment) how our faith increased/decreased over time, do we truly trust in God and believe that He is good and will come through for us. It is easier at times to comprehend the goodness of God in the lives of our friends and family rather than our own. If this is something you are struggling with, first and foremost be honest with God, let Him know where you're at with your faith and call on Him to help you increase your faith. Don't worry about how big or small it is, just take it day at a time. Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. Three years ago, when I started thinking about making a podcast about insurance and history, I had only one topic in mind: slavery. It took three years of reading and researching before I was ready to share it with you, but this episode represents part one of a three-part series about insurance and slavery—an overview of the Atlantic Slave trade and how insurance contributed to and supported that trade. It's a tough topic, but an important one, for insurance professionals and history buffs alike. This is a story about how capitalism developed in Europe and the Americas, about colonialism, the cost of labor, transcontinental marine shipping of kidnapped human beings, and how insurance supported all these things. And how underwriters decide what to insure, and how to insure it. Great Hearts America is a thriving network of publicly-funded charter schools, encompassing tens-of-thousands of students in Arizona, Texas, and Louisiana. They are rooted in what is popularly termed "Classical" education and their approach to learning and formation are very traditional. By all accounts, they have been very successful. But, now the game has changed. Nationally, as the wheels (sadly and unnecessarily) come off public schools, school choice initiatives are blossoming. Nowhere is there more true than in Arizona where families can utilize state tuition tax credit scholarships and state-funded empowerment scholarship accounts. The net effect of this has been that the demand for Christian education has gone through the roof and it's never been more affordable. In response, Great Hearts' founder, Dr. Dan Scoggins, has launched Great Hearts Christos, a new network of Great Hearts Christian schools.Today, we have the opportunity to hear directly from Dan in terms of his vision for the Christos initiative. As well, we'll talk with Dr. Toyin Atolagbe, the head of school for the first two Great Hearts Christos locations and discover the Great Hearts approach to student spiritual formation.Fore more information on Great Hearts America, please follow this link.To learn about Great Hearts Christos, please click here."Kingdom Culture Conversations" is a podcast created through Frameworks, a Biblical worldview initiative of Northwest Christian School. For more information on Frameworks, please visit: https://frameworks.ncsaz.org/For more information on Northwest Christian School, visit: https://www.ncsaz.org/To reach out to Geoff Brown, please email gbrown@ncsaz.org or you can reach him by cell phone: (623)225-5573.
