Learn the key insights now. We're scratching the surface here. If you don't already have Dr. Joe Dispenza's popular book on psychology and spirituality, order it here or get the audiobook for free on Amazon to learn the juicy details. Introduction How much of your creative energy are you losing to negative emotions such as guilt, hatred, fear, or resentment? You can reroute all that energy to create the future you want. All you have to do is rewire your brain. If you understand your “heart intelligence,” you can enhance your mind-body connection. You can realize self-transformation and empowerment. Lose the habits tying you to the past and become supernatural! We can't solve our problems using the same thinking we used when we created them. In Becoming Supernatural, Dr. Joe Dispenza argues a vital yet controversial point. Changing our thinking goes far deeper than just changing perspectives. This book is a profound read in which Dispenza explores the scientific and mystical realms. He shows you how to free yourself from self-imposed yet unjustified limitations. In doing so, you can transcend physical limitations and become who you truly want to become. Dispenza also shares many examples and guides to help you understand and do what it takes to become supernatural. Let's explore the main ideas contained in Becoming Supernatural. About Dr. Joe Dispenza Dr. Joe Dispenza is a chiropractor, writer, and speaker. His primary focus areas have been epigenetics, quantum physics, and neuroscience. Dispenza is a bestselling author of books including Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself, You Are The Placebo, and Becoming Supernatural. He's also featured in several documentaries, notably Heal, Rewired, and What The Bleep Do We Know. His work has earned him acclaim and criticism in equal measure, and it's easy to understand why. Dispenza suggests that the world is divided into the explained and the unexplained. Most people are conditioned to accept what science can explain. But our reality is intertwined with things that conventional science cannot explain. In his words, "common people are doing the uncommon."  In a world surrounded by the mundane, many experience things that are considered out of this world. Having experienced and recorded several of these phenomena, he evaluated them scientifically. Eventually, his findings culminated in Becoming Supernatural. He was on humira and he keeps having allergic reactions to that family of drugs. Any biohacks you guys know of that specifically help? I know stress triggers it... I was thinking of getting him a Biomat mini or belt... what else? Giving a blanket answer to this question is tough because it ignores everyone's bio-individuality. That said, a good guideline to follow would be, as a first step: give the problem some crutches to lean on. This means giving the inflammatory response a break for a moment so that your gut can soothe itself — at least for long enough to absorb the nutrients you're going to need to begin healing. Eliminating the most obvious food sensitivities like nuts, eggs, dairy, wheat, processed foods, nightshades, etc. Once that's dialed in, go a level up and consider removing high-histamine foods that could be perpetuating the inflammatory cycle. And then, once a little more stable, support detoxification by getting in a light daily sweat, and eating steamed foods that assist the liver, like dandelion, artichoke, beets, cruciferous vegetables, garlic, and gluten-free oats. And all the while, prioritize meditation, sunlight, and lymphatic drainage. A light rebounding session on a Bellicon, or even just doing some jumping jacks on some carpeting can be a big help. To dive deep into all matters colitis, and IBD, someone who'd been a well-kept secret here in LA for several years, but is now out of LA, and entering the online world in a bigger way, is a personal friend of mine, Jordan Kravitz. Jordan was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2015, and after getting handed the pamphlets about all the drugs he'd need from the head of the IBD clinic here at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, Jordan laughed at him and told him to keep his drugs. He then went on an absolutely crazy journey to reverse Crohn's Disease, and today enjoys excellent digestive health, thanks to his unique approach to healing inflammatory gut issues of all kinds.  If you'd like to connect with him to learn more, or for one on one coaching, you can check out his website at jordankravitz.com, and use the contact page to get in touch. Where does sunlight fit into this picture? Dr Peat explains that when we’re exposed to UV light, it can cause damage to unsaturated fatty acid molecules in our skin, producing free radicals.  Manage your iron intake. This is one of the most important pieces of the age spots puzzle.  One way of managing your iron levels is to give blood regularly; there’s evidence that this can even reduce your risk of heart attack and strokes. Donating blood can be especially helpful for men and post-menopausal women, because they do not lose any blood through menstruation.  Reduce your intake of PUFAs Increase your intake of vitamin E (a powerful antioxidant) Pay attention to your estrogen levels, for men and women Listen to what Nadine Artemis has to say about the sun Vitamin D app: dminder.ontometrics.com Get Surthrival’s D3+K2 Daylight Concentrate (use code “lifestylist” for 10% off) Quicksilver Scientific also has a great D3+K2 combo Episode 6: The Great Sunshine Swindle with Nadine Artemis   01:55:10 — Mazena asks: Male pattern baldness. I’ve heard this probably 100 times over the years Like most experimental, and extreme diets, they often work for a period of time, then the body falls out of balance.  There has never, ever been a 100% vegan human civilization in recorded history, which is why i call it experimental We don't yet know if it's safe. it would take 2-3 generations of 100% vegan people to breed 100% vegan kids, who then breed with 100% vegan people a few times over to see if its viable In my experience, being vegetarian or vegan is a form of fasting, or cleansing which can be amazing in the short term I prefer a balanced diet and to listen to my body and what it wants, since it is its own living organism, with its own innate intelligence  If you do decide to phase out of this diet, try starting with bone broth (no additional animals die to make bone broth) or pastured eggs or wild caught, sustainably sourced fish. or even just oysters.  To me, any diet that is deficient in critical nutrients and thus requires that you take supplements to fill the gap, is likely not a natural human diet because that would ot require supplements like b vitamins, vitamin a etc. Study the work of Dr. Weston Price for more info on the natural human diet and nutrient deficiencies  Check out next tuesday’s episode: Why You Can't Beat Meat: The Ultimate Carnivore Diet Guide W/ Dr. Paul Saladino Episode 245: Wild Fed: How To Become A Modern Day Hunter-Gatherer w/ Daniel Vitalis *Vegan Trigger Warning Episode 94: Why I'm Not a Vegan - Daniel Vitalis All that said, to me, what trumps diet is avoiding non-native EMF and blue light. circadian biology wins over nutrient biology in my book.  get into sync with nature, as nature is where creation’s wisdom lies   02:10:00 — Richard asks: Anyone have personal experience with improving eyesight naturally??? The Thinker's Apprentice

In this episode we talk about how to use the placebo effect to change the parts of ourselves that we don't like or that don't serve us. Topics include: An overview of the placebo effect and how it manifests belief into reality. We discuss how you can, indeed, use the placebo effect to change yourself. We talk about the default mode network (DMN) of you brain and how it creates your personality and your reality. And then we talk about just how it is possible to change this. And I reference 2 books to illustrate this and they are: You Are The Placebo, by Dr. Joe Dispenza and How To Change Your Mind, by Michael Pollan. Both books are excellent and I highly recommend them. *Just a quick note: I incorrectly called this book A Whole New Mind in the episode. My apologies. Then I introduce the concepts of neurorigidity and neuroplasticity, which are critical in understanding how to use the placebo effect to change your life.  We talk about our self-talk and how to change our story that we tell ourselves about who we are. And then we talk about mental rehearsal and visualization.  That leads us into our final two tactics to effect lasting change and they are gratitude and binaural beats. We attach gratitude with our new story because gratitude is a powerful emotion and it can convince your sub-conscious that what you want has already been achieved. And then we use binaural beats to put us into a theta brainwave state, which can bypass the analytical part of our brain and send the new story right into the sub-conscious. And in this week's Call-to-Action we follow all these steps to change something about ourselves that we don't like or that doesn't serve us.  Thanks for listening. I listened to one of my favorite podcasts, Short Story Long with Chris Drama Pfaff and he interviewed a guy named Dr Joe Despinza. Dr Joe has written numerous books like You Are The Placebo and Becoming Supernatural. He has an interesting background and his quest all started when he healed a terrible back injury with thinking and visualization... even though 4 specialists said the only option was surgery. The thing that stuck out to me the most during the interview was when he said, if you don’t plan your future you are destined to continue to cement your past (I’m paraphrasing). He hammers home the significance of consistently connecting your thoughts with the feelings associated with the results you want as if they’ve happened for you already. Lately, I’ve been hyper aware of how much crap I talk to myself and others... ALL in my head! It’s usually always negative and I end up creating some of the exact situations I say I don’t want. I also address how my impatience and entitlement get in the way of my own joy and satisfaction in life. I hope you enjoy the perspective and look up Dr Joe Despinza on the Short Story Long Podcast with Chris Drama Pfaff.

Today's episode is a hybrid - part book club episode, part manifesto on your ability, independent of all circumstances, to create change. I read an amazing book called You Are The Placebo and it came to mind immediately when I got a couple of critical comments about episode 490 of the podcast. That episode garnered over 400 emails, text messages, direct messages & social media comments from people who found it helpful and inspiring. It also garnered two critical comments from listeners. Both felt they needed to inform me that depression isn't a choice. Interestingly, I agree and never said it was. I do, however, believe that in every circumstance, we DO have power to create change. That is what we are diving into, especially the science behind our thoughts, in today's episode. This is, without question, one of my favorite recent episodes! What do Star Wars, LeBron James and mind over matter have in common? We talk about them all in this installment of the podcast! It's time to talk mind over matter with Brian and Tony! In This Episode Estes Park & Rocky Mountain National Park Stupid behavior around elk.... Angel Armor Lessons learned from the NBA Star Wars: A Solo Story Mind Over Matter Since the majority of the conversation in this episode is specific to the new Star Wars movie Solo, I'll let Brian and Tony lead the way on that excellent discussion! My personal reaction to the movie was... too predictable. But, like Brian points out, that was likely due to lack of character depth in Kyra's character. Or, maybe not. If they'd gone more in depth into the character, it might have been more predictable. To be clear, I don't mind predictability. I don't like last minute, where-did-that-come-from twists that make no sense. I like a healthy balance of mystery and shock, where we can understand character arcs without actively wanting to predict the outcome of the movie. When the movie moves too slow, I find myself tagging characters and saying, 'Next they will say [this] and do [this].' Great premise... execution was lacking. But that brings me to what I do want to discuss. I read an article this week about Kelly Marie Tran (from The Last Jedi) that broke my heart. One might argue that it was more apt to break because it is made of ice, but I like to think that it warmed up just enough in order to tear and bleed... feeling the pain for this actress who probably entered into the Star Wars franchise with eager anticipation of joining an epic story. So here's what Star Wars, LeBron James and mind over matter really have in common. LeBron on what it's like to be an athlete in the social media era and how he deals with criticism pic.twitter.com/xFxxwPevyZ — Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) June 3, 2018   Later in this same interview, he says: if the stuff that goes on in social media bothers you... just delete it. Well said. Just delete it! I deleted Facebook and Twitter from my phone a couple months ago and am loving the freedom that comes from not being attached to notifications or cultivated news feeds. My dad used to always say, and I know a lot of dads say this, but what goes IN to your mind will undoubtedly come OUT of your mouth. If we're serious about our craft, about delivering quality or excellence, and we only listen to the LOUDEST source of feedback... we've no guarantee about quality feedback. Mind over matter is this concept where we can use our mind to conquer physical problems. It's become more common to use it in terms of controlling pain, but historically it has roots in the evolutionary growth of the mind. What is most interesting to me, in this regard, is that sometimes physical problems are visibly evident, sometimes they're not. Sometimes they are the words said to us (or not said to us) that become "like" physical pain. Sometimes it's a digital blockade of terrible people on social media. Sometimes it is an illness preventing us from playing in an important game (Michael Jordan's legendary flu game). In all cases, we have a choice: either we let something get us down... or we rise above. Good for Kelly Marie to delete her social media stuff, people don't deserve to have a peek into her life and she owes no one anything. With the dawn of the social media age, we as a people have yet to fully adjust to the large-scale impact words of this visibility have. We are like children, unable to help ourselves from abusing a new toy. It's just a great reminder that when something hurts, stop giving it the power to hurt you. Regain control, do what you do, and fall back in love with the passion that brought you to where you are. A book (not written by Fred Dodson!) has captivated my attention lately. “You Are The Placebo” is an excellent account from a physician/scientist perspective of how our thoughts and emotions actually create neurological pathways in our brain, then hormones are dispensed to our body to support the emotion we are feeling with the thought. Dr. Dispenza did an excellent job describing the science of how our brains engage to support our thoughts and emotions in a similar way the body mobilizes white blood cells around a cut to prevent infection. This is truly amazing science, and Dr. Dispenza and his team have been doing studies to quantify and prove what the neuroscience has indicated. The stories are simply mind blowing. This podcast reviews the book from my take on it and highlights some of the major take-aways.In Part 2 of the podcast, I do some “thinking out loud” on possible upcoming trips and adventure tours with our Subconscious Mind Mastery listener family, in response to some of your requests.Enjoy the Journey,ThomasThe post Podcast 106 – “You Are The Placebo” by Dr. Joe Dispenza appeared first on Subconscious Mind Mastery.
