Søren godter sig over sin sejr over arvefjenden.

This is a recreation of the concert called … “The T.A.M.I. Show”. **** T.A.M.I. stands for Teenage Awards Music International. **** On October 28 and 29, 1964, an independent film production company staged a concert at the Civic Auditorium in Santa Monica, CA. It featured an amazing collection of the current and most popular recording artists among teenagers: The Supremes, James Brown, and the Beach Boys. And since the “British Invasion” was in full swing, the list of performers included a number of acts from Britain, including Gerry & The Pacemakers and The Rolling Stones. Free tickets were distributed to local high school students. **** The best footage from each of the two concert-dates was edited into the film, which was released on December 29, 1964 … using technology called Electronovision and only in Black & White. There were go-go dancers, girls & boys, both black & white, performing in the background and beside the performers. There were Brits and Americans, stars and supporting acts, black and white performers, young-and-old-concertgoers. Brought together as one, in the same auditorium, bonded by rock & roll music. It was NO problem. The T.A.M.I. Show continues to be regarded as one of the best rock & roll concert-movies ever made. **** What you're about to hear, as a special presentation from The Danny Lane Music Museum, is a re-creation of that concert with the original songs from the exact same set-list. **** Jan & Dean hosted the concert and performed the show's theme song …. “Hello children…” It’s absolutely bloody amazing that we remembered how to do this. Last show we recorded together was October of 2019. Since then Dave has had two new hips, and we’re now relocated to a new location. But here you have “The Almost Xmas MBR Special” - as it’s almost Xmas, right? This is the second of two shows recorded. The first comes out in the New Year. Bleedin’ pandemic, making everything timey-wimey. On this show you’ll hear: Not adamantium, but aluminium. Vampire kiwis and poisonous koalas. Bob admits his true feelings. But he IS smoking. There are 2 types of music: Contrarian and Western. Fun facts about the new Benediction album “Scriptures,” It’s great. Not just good. Insulting and alienating both hemispheres. Being sent money for beer by a Charles Dickens villain. The ghost of Xmas Spenceley. Yet more fun facts about Benediction! Humouric or turmeric? Have you not herb? And for the finale we even wrote a special song. Unfortunately, Billy Joel wrote it first. The total muppet. It’s the MBR-orientated version of “We Didn’t Start The Fire.” Lyrics below: Started 13 years ago, Metal Breakfast Radio Donovan and Dave and all the beers began to flow Bob and Kent then came to quaff, after Donovan fucked off Exterminating rubbish with the flong win-tros Carlsberg, Jagerbombs, IPAs for everyone Broadcasting rubbish all the way to Venus Band shirts and beer guts, lovely bunch of coconuts The only thing that’s left to rhyme is Conte’s penis We didn't start the fire…etc (Can’t post all of the chorus else Billy J will get lawyered up) Rubbish in your ear canal, Doctor Who and arsenal Using nepotism is not cheating Nice one Einstein, four minutes is too much time Exterminate button is overheating Death, Thrash, and Grindcore, Panda metal such a bore Bands that cry over their score, they always bitch and whine Chin chin, Wizard prank, Thanks for coming, Have a wank Buckets full of cobblers, Bring me sunshine We didn't start the fire…etc Canada America’s hat, Donovan came up with that He likes domination a lot Gin and tonic with lime, shitty music, timey-wime It all goes south when we do shots Oh, yeah… Nipples, cobblers, drunken squabblers Islands of tranquility are a no-go Nu-Metal is rough, it can get stuffed Black metal necros, fuck off with your bongos We didn't start the fire…etc Diamond Kent and Thunder Bob, our own lynch mob They’re no mirage, with their sonic triage Bands under their duress, points system - what a mess No score, we hate, now we will Exterminate Mincing words and talking bull, are we sure the fridge is full? Holy shit, no it’s not, let’s go to the bloody shop! We didn't start the fire…etc It has been quite a year, luckily we’ve all had beer Lockdown, our town, nervous breakdown MBR back again, how long shall we remain? We’re not sure, we can’t say, all we know that Bob is gay Every episode a farce, we get so drunk off our arse Belts off, trousers down, life’s a scream, we’re clowns This track has gone on too long, sorry Billy Joel it’s flong Now it’s time to get it snuffed, Blow it up we’ve had enough! We didn't start the fire…etc etc etc. With apologies to Mr Billy Joel. Actually, f*** that guy. He hasn’t put out a decent album since “The Stranger.”

In this episode, we find that David's music has the power to soothe the savage beast (King Saul). Except, there's something deeper that brings peace, hope, purpose and strength. Something David has, and Saul does not. That's where the soothing happens. We also have a lengthy discussion about mental health. Saul is clearly suffering from some sort of mental illness, and the passage makes it clear that God is tormenting Saul with these evil spirits. Is this how we are to understand all mental illness? Is there a place in the Kingdom and the Body of Christ for mentally ill individuals? Absolutely. Israel's demand for a king represents a sea change for the people of God. It's a microcosm of everything broken about humanity, and everything good and beautiful about the King they already had: God Himself. But what is the problem with having a king? What are their motivations in demanding one? How does this affect us today? And how is ancient Israel like a hippopotamus? All these questions are examined here, in a series of subjects that Chris is incredibly passionate about: power, justice, and the Kingship of Christ.--------------------------------------------------------Features "What Joy (Psalm 146)", by Sarah EmersonCCLI Song # 5633113© 2009 Centricity Music Publishing; Sarah Emerson Music Publishing(Admin. by Capitol CMG Publishing)Features "You Are My King (Amazing Love)", by Billy J. On a warm summer evening in the friendly town of Beckley, West Virginia on August 26, 1981, twenty seven year old school teacher Cynthia Jane Miller was over the moon with excitement for her wedding the following day to police officer Gary O'Neal. The two were very much in love and had been anxiously waiting for Friday, August 27th, to exchange their vows and begin life together as husband and wife. While Gary visited with his father the evening of August 26th to go over wedding details, Cynthia decided to stay at home and tend to last minute work related activities so as not to have it hanging over her on their one weekend of wedded bliss. Suddenly in the very home which she and Gary planned to make a lifetime of beautiful memories together, darkness cloaked its evil upon Cynthia when the devil in the flesh came calling and saw to it she would never celebrate her 28th birthday nor her wedding the following evening. Gunned down in the living room of her very own home which investigators described as a slaughter up close and personal. But who would want to harm and kill this much loved, compassionate, joyful and talented young woman who was respected and well liked by all who knew her? The perpetrator of this heinous crime has never been brought to justice in the 38 years since her life was taken away from her. No sign of forced entry into the home. Nothing was disturbed. No robbery, no struggle, no sexual assault. The only evidence left behind was Cynthia’s blood spattered clothing. It’s as if the killer vanished into thin air. All that remains are the broken hearts and spirits of family, friends, and all who knew her. Law Enforcement has had very little to work on in the 38 years since this cold-blooded monster took the life of this young woman with so much promise and dreams yet to fulfill. The Beckley WV Police Department has never given up on Cynthia’s case. Generations of police investigators have combed through the massive amount of information meticulously collected and maintained throughout the years. There have been persons of interests since the original investigation that still remain on police radar but there is no binding evidence to tie them to the murder....at least not yet. With good old fashion police work and the advancement of forensic science technology to now include genetic genealogy, the criminals days in the sun are running out, and many are now being apprehended in very cold cases that were once deemed hopeless. Investigators believe Cynthia’s case is solvable with the right piece of missing information or piece of evidence. Someone knows something and it’s time to step out from the shadows and do the right thing by coming forward, letting go of the burden and, in doing so, giving Cynthia the peace she so much deserves. As we discuss and examine Cynthia's life and the night of her brutal murder, perhaps you will be the one to help Crack This Case!Join me, Sharon McHenry Power, the Host of Crack This Crack, to hear Cynthia’s life story of 27 years and to discuss and examine the mystery surrounding her murder. Let’s spread awareness of Cynthia’s relatively unknown case and start shaking things up. Coming from a rural childhood and having a love of music from an early age, Burlington, Ontario based Country artist BILLY J WHITE is blazing his own trail in the Canadian country music scene with the release of his new EP DAMN FOOL THING TO DO. The album consisting of seven tracks, with two currently at radio nationwide, was recorded and produced by multi-award winning and highly sought after producer Tom McKillip. The first single, Saturday Night, was released in October 2013. The co-written, hook laden song resonates a pleasure that we’ve all lived and loved at least one time in our life; the night that bars and clubs are filled with people letting their hair down, hitting the dance floor and forgetting their troubles. The song is nominated for CMAO Single of the Year at this year's awards show (2014) in May. The new single is called Keep Them Kisses Comin'. Nominated for CMAO Male Artist of the Year in 2013, Billy has lit up stages with his high energy “keep rockin’ it country style” performances. He has opened for The Stellas, Deric Ruttan, Gil Grand, Tim Taylor, and Diane Chase and performed at Burlington’s Sound of Music Festival, Manitoulin Country Fest, Country in the Woods, NSAI Tin Pan North, and Ontario based fairs. Billy performs once again this year (May 8th) at the Cadillac Lounge during Canadian Music Week. Visit this talented country artist at www.billyjwhite.com
ArchiTreats: Food for Thought continues another year of informative talks on Alabama history at the Alabama Department of Archives and History. Join us as Billy J. Singleton presents A Strange New Bird: The Airplane Comes to Alabama. The first century of powered flight in Alabama began in February 1910 with the arrival of Wilbur Wright in the capital city of Montgomery. In search of a suitable location to establish a spring training camp for student aviators, Wright selected Montgomery as the site of the nation’s first civilian pilot training school because of the region’s genial climate and suitable grounds. The establishment of the Wright flying school marked the beginning of a remarkable aviation heritage in Montgomery, a legacy further enhanced by the evolution of military aviation on the former site of the flying school of the Wright Brothers. The same factors that attracted the Wrights to Montgomery made the area an ideal location for the establishment of military flight training and aerospace education programs, and formed the foundation of the first century of powered flight in Alabama. Billy Singleton has been involved in the aviation industry for more than three decades. Recently retired as a pilot for a major airline, he continues to fly as a corporate pilot based in Birmingham. A native of Alabama, Singleton serves as chairman of the Alabama Aviation Hall of Fame, vice-chairman of the Wright Brothers / Maxwell Field Museum project, and member of the Board of Directors of the Southern Museum of Flight. He received a bachelor’s degree from Troy State University and a Master of Aeronautical Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is the author of Images of Aviation: Montgomery Aviation and num erous articles relating to aviation history and safety. This ArchiTreats presentation is made possible by the Friends of the Alabama Archives. The public is invited to bring a sack lunch and enjoy a bit of Alabama history. Coffee and tea will be provided by the Friends of the Alabama Archives. For more information, call (334) 353‐4726.
