In the last episode, I told you the first part of the story of three-year-old Arabella Parker, who was rushed to the hospital on October 10, 2019, reportedly suffering from a seizure. Because medical staff wasn't told that the seizure resulted from severe head trauma, the damage was irreparable, and Arabella died on November 22, 2019.In this episode, I'll take you through the hearings and the trials of the three people accused of allowing, causing, or covering up the reason for Arabella's death: her mother, Samantha Delcamp; Samantha's boyfriend, Jahrid Burgess; and Jahrid's mother, Christy Willis. In the next episode, you'll hear my conversations with several people close to Arabella's case. This is part two of the complex, tragic story of Arabella Parker, retold. The Crime Wire article, “Amanda Parker, Samantha Delcamp, and the Domestic Violence Debate”: https://thecrimewire.com/multifarious/woman-who-berated-samantha-delcamp-is-branded-a-hypocrite Beyond Duress: Supporting the Admissibility of Evidence of Battered Woman Syndrome to Aid the Defenses of Battered Mothers Charged with Failing to Protect Their Children Against Their Common Abuser: https://aulawreview.org/blog/beyond-duress-supporting-the-admissibility-of-evidence-of-battered-woman-syndrome/ Photos related to today's episode can be viewed on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sufferthelittlechildrenpod You can also follow the podcast on:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sufferthelittlechildrenpodTwitter: https://www.twitter.com/STLCpodTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@STLCpodMy Linktree is available here: https://linktr.ee/stlcpod Visit the podcast's web page at https://www.sufferthelittlechildrenpod.com. Please help me devote myself to the podcast full-time to keep the weekly episodes coming! In November of 2016, the Guy parents had announced they sold their home in Knoxville, Tennessee to retire and move to Joel Sr.'s late mother's home in Surgoinsville, TN. They were holding their last family dinner at their home on Thanksgiving where the entire family would be attending before they all looked forward to having Christmas dinner in Joel and Lisa's new home. Their son, Joel Guy, Jr. had attended this dinner. He had been financially reliant on his parents, never having a job but living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 600 miles from his parents' home for the past decade. When he found out he was to be financially cut-off by his parents after their retirement, rage ensued and the most gruesome crime scene was left in his parents' home that the officers on the case had ever seen. To realize his ambition, Ruiz Henao moved to London, United Kingdom, in 1985. There he and his wife settled in the quiet suburb of Hendon, where he held down mundane but respectable cleaning and bus driving jobs. At least to outward appearances … THE REAL MR. BIG, co-written by Ruiz Henao with bestselling author Ron Chepisiuk, is the story of how an ambitious Colombian immigrant set up a sophisticated drug trafficking enterprise that earned him law enforcement’s description as “the Pablo Escobar of British drug trafficking.” Order THE REAL MR. It was a violent life in which only the strong survived. Joe Silvestri was a tough kid from the mean streets of New York. He went from street brawler to wearing a tux at the glamorous Copacabana. He eventually provided “muscle” for the Mob, a highly respected and feared fixer—the guy you went to if you had a problem that needed to be resolved. Serial Killers, we would like to dismiss them all, as being some kind of sub specious of humanity, perhaps in order to distance ourselves in some futile attempt to feel safe, that no one in our circles could ever commit the barbaric crimes that these serial killers have. But according to our guest tonight, Elise Torres, who has done extensive research on serial killers, they are our neighbors, churchgoers, close friends, parents and maybe the very person sleeping right next to you, your husband or wife. I do a lot of shows with frightening content, from UFOs, to paranormal, to real life conspiracies, but none frighten me as much as serial killers, because 3 of the worst ever serial killers in Canada were housed not two blocks from our Kingston broadcast centre in the Canada's maximum security jail, The Kingston Penitentiary. What motivates this blood lust? Well that's what we are going to be looking at tonight; a reminder no children because we are going to be graphic.
