But alas, Lewis Hamilton came out in victory and I have to say we were not disappointed with the race. It was actually very good!Indycar has reached it's mid point of the season, however, now they are officially racing with the new hybrid systems onboard! O'Ward and Palou put on a great race as they were the class of the field that day! NASCAR raced in the streets of Chicago and it was wet. The European Le Mans Series also had a round at Imola which we cover as well.Coming up this weekend: Indycar is at Iowa Speedway for a doubleheader (Saturday and Sunday race), NASCAR is at Pocono for 400 miles, and WEC returns to Interlagos in Brazil for another 6 hour race of their championship.

Prema announces it will join the Indycar grid in 2025, Katherine Legge, Connor Daly, and Marco Andretti share news about their Indy 500 rides coming up in May, and Flying Lizard Motorsports returns to IMSA to run at Long Beach with an Aston Martin GT3 entry in the GTD class.Racing this upcoming weekend is on the very light side as Moto GP races at COTA (where a Garage56 demo run will occur) and the European Le Mans Series is having it's season opener in Spain.

L'année suivante, il roule en Michelin Le Mans Cup et en Asian Le Mans Series, où il décroche son premier titre avec l'équipe CD Sport. En 2022, toujours sur Ligier JSP320, il effectue ses grands débuts en European Le Mans Series. Plusieurs podiums et victoires vont récompenser ses efforts. Dit was het startsein voor een opmerkelijke carrière in de autosport, die hem zelfs in de prestigieuze wereld van de Formule 1 bracht. Daarnaast staat hij bekend als de pionier die indoor karting naar het Europese vasteland bracht. Voor Jeroen Bleekemolen werd, als zoon van Michael, de liefde voor de autosport van jongs af aan in zijn DNA gegoten. Philip Hanson is a young driver to watch, in the field of endurance sportscar racing. During his short career he has already smashed records and competed in prestigious races such as Le Mans 24 and Rolex 24 Hours, at Daytona, alongside two-time F1 champion, Fernando Alonso. Phil was crowned World Endurance Champion, the youngest driver to achieve this, won the European Le Mans Series and was the youngest ever Brit to win the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans, in September 2020.
Michelle Gatting has achieved victories in the 24 hours of Spa, Ferrari challenge and the European Le Mans Series. However, Michelle's racing journey involves more than race wins and fighting for championships. Alongside teammates Rahel Frey, Sarah Bovy and Dorianne Pin, Michelle is part of a greater message to grow female participation in motorsport. There's no news from the FIA on the overspending from Redbull. Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren has written a complaint to the FIA regarding it. Cheating is cheating! Elsewhere in F1, we have no news on who are going to fill the Williams and Haas vacant seats, although there are rumours of who will be racing in them next year, we're just waiting on confirmation of super licenses! World Touring Cars will not continue after the end of the 2022 season, having just 12 cars on the grid and 20 minute races. Dan Ticktum has signed for another year in Formula E, having signed an extended contract. The sport has also decided to drop the Fan Boost for the next season. There was a horrific crash in the support race to the European Le Mans Series, in which James Hunt's son, Freddie took the win. The Moto GP race in Australia was potentially the most exciting race of the year so far, as 8 bikes crossed the finish line within 0.884 seconds of each other. Suzuki rider, Alex Rins took the win from 10th on the grid. British Superbikes crowned Bradley Ray as their Championship Winner at Brands Hatch this weekend, despite a difficult race for him. We had a Donington Park decider in British GT, with Ian Loggie taking the Championship win in his Mercedes, having finished 2nd in the race. Bubba Wallace and Kyle Larson had an altercation in NASCAR, following a risky move from Larson in Las Vegas and Bubba using his car as a missile! Then we crown new Champions in Caterham. With the Academy series at Silverstone, while the 270 and 310 championships were at Spa Francorchamps. Next week, Formula 1 returns to the circuit of the Americas, while we have WRC in Spain, Moto GP in Malaysia, World Superbikes in Argentina and NASCAR are in Miami!

Phil Hanson is an endurance sportscar star, in 2020 he became the first driver to win the FIA World Endurance Championship, European Le Mans Series and the Le Mans 24 Hours LMP2 class all in the same year. He's the youngest driver to ever with a WEC title and the youngest British driver to win LMP2 at Le Mans. He was the youngest Asian Le Mans Series LMP3 Champion and the youngest European Le Mans Series outright race winner and youngest outright Asian Le Mans Championship winner! He's a BRDC Superstar, has counted Fernando Alonso as a teammate and is currently plying his trade with Zak Brown's United Autosport, he's surely one of the biggest racing talents this country has produced. Welcome to another episode of the Lovecars On The Grid Podcast! Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman are back with another roundup of motorsport events from the past week. It's been a quiet weekend for motorsport, but a few really exciting events to look forward to! We have the European Le Mans Series around Circuit Paul Ricard in France. With the LMP2 cars. Sophia Flörsch came second overall. In NASCAR, the cars were at the Bristol oval, driving in the dirt! There was lots of cars spinning, resulting in yellow flags on the track. The last 30 laps was chaos! There was a last lap, last corner battle, which the win eventually went to Toyota driver, Kyle Busch. British GT was at Oulton Park with some excitement from the Lamborghini's, Porsches and McLaren GT cars. The British Superbikes started their season at Silverstone too. We pay tribute to Speedway star, Nigel Pearson. May he rest in peace and our thoughts are with his family and friends. Next week, we have a lot to look forward to! Formula 1 goes to Imola, who will win this time? Will Ferrari continue their Winning streak? WRC are going to Croatia for their rally for the first time. BTCC are at Donington Park. Moto GP are also at Portiamo. Superbikes are at Assen, and NASCAR are at the Talladega Superspeedway. A whole day's television to look forward to on Sunday! It's a sad story in Formula 3, where Jonny Edgar has had to withdraw. Our apologies to Jonny for forgetting his name! And get well soon!

He's been the youngest driver to be crowned World Endurance Champion and the youngest British driver to win Le Mans 24 Hour Race.
