Hey great to bring you Episode #99, thanks for your support and XDEEP for sponsoring the show. This episode features our latest Sidemount Diving Secret - Cylinder Section: "Why You Could be Diving the Wrong Cylinders". Big thanks to Seacraft for sponsoring this segment. Check it out here - https://youtu.be/0Ksl9r7zC6I?si=ZNYWiYTGYBPWX_ZB In this episode, I meet Stefan Panis, a Belgian wreck, mine and cave diver, professional underwater photographer, and author. Stef got into diving at a young age through his parents, who were divers. He progressed from recreational to professional diving and eventually became a wreck diver. He combined his passion for diving with photography and started documenting shipwrecks. Stef's favourite exploration project is the Dover Straits in the UK, which has a high concentration of shipwrecks. He wrote a book called 'The Shipwrecks of Dover Strait' that combines history, pictures, and stories of his dives. Stef also enjoys mine diving and believes that Belgium's proximity to various diving sites contributes to the popularity of technical diving in the country. Stef started as a wreck diver but later discovered the thrill of diving in slate mines, which led him to pursue cave training. Stef and his team now explore and document mines in Belgium, providing valuable information for speleologists and emergency responders. He also organizes the Dive Expo Belgium, a dive event that brings together divers from all backgrounds. Stef discusses the challenges of transitioning from warm to cold water diving and highlights the benefits of DPVs in his diving projects, particularly the Seacraft GO. Thanks and enjoy :) Steve

He walks upon the sea and discourses of the bread of life. 1 After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is that of Tiberias.Post haec abiit Jesus trans mare Galilaeae, quod est Tiberiadis : 2 And a great multitude followed him, because they saw the miracles which he did on them that were diseased.et sequebatur eum multitudo magna, quia videbant signa quae faciebat super his qui infirmabantur. 3 Jesus therefore went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples. 4 Now the pasch, the festival day of the Jews, was near at hand.Erat autem proximum Pascha dies festus Judaeorum. 5 When Jesus therefore had lifted up his eyes, and seen that a very great multitude cometh to him, he said to Philip: Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?Cum sublevasset ergo oculos Jesus, et vidisset quia multitudo maxima venit ad eum, dixit ad Philippum : Unde ememus panes, ut manducent hi? 6 And this he said to try him; for he himself knew what he would do.Hoc autem dicebat tentans eum : ipse enim sciebat quid esset facturus. 7 Philip answered him: Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one may take a little.Respondit ei Philippus : Ducentorum denariorum panes non sufficiunt eis, ut unusquisque modicum quid accipiat. 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, saith to him:Dicit ei unus ex discipulis ejus, Andreas, frater Simonis Petri : 9 There is a boy here that hath five barley loaves, and two fishes; but what are these among so many? 10 Then Jesus said: Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. The men therefore sat down, in number about five thousand.Dixit ergo Jesus : Facite homines discumbere. Erat autem foenum multum in loco. Discumberunt ergo viri, numero quasi quinque millia. 11 And Jesus took the loaves: and when he had given thanks, he distributed to them that were set down. In like manner also of the fishes, as much as they would. 12 And when they were filled, he said to his disciples: Gather up the fragments that remain, lest they be lost. 13 They gathered up therefore, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above to them that had eaten. 14 Now those men, when they had seen what a miracle Jesus had done, said: This is of a truth the prophet, that is to come into the world. 15 Jesus therefore, when he knew that they would come to take him by force, and make him king, fled again into the mountain himself alone. 16 And when evening was come, his disciples went down to the sea. 17 And when they had gone up into a ship, they went over the sea to Capharnaum; and it was now dark, and Jesus was not come unto them. 18 And the sea arose, by reason of a great wind that blew.Mare autem, vento magno flante, exsurgebat. 19 When they had rowed therefore about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking upon the sea, and drawing nigh to the ship, and they were afraid. 20 But he saith to them: It is I; be not afraid.Ille autem dicit eis : Ego sum, nolite timere. 21 They were willing therefore to take him into the ship; and presently the ship was at the land to which they were going. 22 The next day, the multitude that stood on the other side of the sea, saw that there was no other ship there but one, and that Jesus had not entered into the ship with his disciples, but that his disciples were gone away alone. But other ships came in from Tiberias; nigh unto the place where they had eaten the bread, the Lord giving thanks.aliae vero supervenerunt naves a Tiberiade juxta locum ubi manducaverunt panem, gratias agente Domino. 24 When therefore the multitude saw that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, they took shipping, and came to Capharnaum, seeking for Jesus. 25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him: Rabbi, when camest thou hither? 26 Jesus answered them, and said: Amen, amen I say to you, you seek me, not because you have seen miracles, but because you did eat of the loaves, and were filled. 27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that which endureth unto life everlasting, which the Son of man will give you. For him hath God, the Father, sealed. 28 They said therefore unto him: What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?Dixerunt ergo ad eum : Quid faciemus ut operemur opera Dei? 29 Jesus answered, and said to them: This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he hath sent. 30 They said therefore to him: What sign therefore dost thou shew, that we may see, and may believe thee? What dost thou work?Dixerunt ergo ei : Quod ergo tu facis signum ut videamus et credamus tibi? quid operaris? 31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert, as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat.Patres nostri manducaverunt manna in deserto, sicut scriptum est : Panem de caelo dedit eis manducare. 32 Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say to you; Moses gave you not bread from heaven, but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is that which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life to the world. 34 They said therefore unto him: Lord, give us always this bread. 35 And Jesus said to them: I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger: and he that believeth in me shall never thirst.Dixit autem eis Jesus : Ego sum panis vitae : qui venit ad me, non esuriet, et qui credit in me, non sitiet umquam. 36 But I said unto you, that you also have seen me, and you believe not. 37 All that the Father giveth to me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me, I will not cast out.Omne quod dat mihi Pater, ad me veniet : et eum qui venit ad me, non ejiciam foras : 38 Because I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me.quia descendi de caelo, non ut faciam voluntatem meam, sed voluntatem ejus qui misit me. 39 Now this is the will of the Father who sent me: that of all that he hath given me, I should lose nothing; but should raise it up again in the last day. 40 And this is the will of my Father that sent me: that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth in him, may have life everlasting, and I will raise him up in the last day. 41 The Jews therefore murmured at him, because he had said: I am the living bread which came down from heaven.Murmurabant ergo Judaei de illo, quia dixisset : Ego sum panis vivus, qui de caelo descendi, 42 And they said: Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How then saith he, I came down from heaven?et dicebant : Nonne hic est Jesus filius Joseph, cujus nos novimus patrem et matrem? quomodo ergo dicit hic : Quia de caelo descendi? 43 Jesus therefore answered, and said to them: Murmur not among yourselves.Respondit ergo Jesus, et dixit eis : Nolite murmurare in invicem : 44 No man can come to me, except the Father, who hath sent me, draw him; and I will raise

Today, I'm joined by dancer, choreographer, and cultural leader Alleluia Panis. In our conversation, Alleluia expands on the vision behind her captivating performances, many of which are inspired by her lived experience as a Filipina immigrant. Alleluia describes how many of the indigenous Filipino traditions have been forgotten due to the dark history of colonialism in the country. As the Artistic and Executive Director of KULARTS, Alleluia's mission is to reintroduce the world to contemporary and tribal Filipino art. In her personal quest to reconnect with her indigenous self, she invites others to question where they might also be estranged from their true identity. Alleluia's curiosity has led her to explore more of her lineage and global history. After her research phase, she collaborates with other artists to develop characters, storylines, and corresponding dance pieces. Alleluia shares details of how this process unfolded for performances like for ‘She, Who Can See,' ‘Nursing These Wounds,' as well as her current project about the relationship between the US military and the Philippines. She also touches on the retreats and workshops she hosts in tandem with indigenous tribes in the Philippines. Link to music (courtesy of CCWatershed)St. Thomas Aquinas was a theologian, a philosopher, and one of the greatest intellects of all time. He is known as the Angelic Doctor of the Church. But did you know he is also regarded as one of the greatest Catholic poets of all time? And he only wrote 5 poems – 38 stanzas of poetry. In 1264, Pope Urban IV established the Solemnity of The Body of Christ, and asked St. Thomas Aquinas to write the texts for the Mass and the Divine Office for this new feast. Although St. Thomas was known for his scholarly – not poetical – work, he produced five of the best, known, best loved hymns in history:Adoro Te DevoteSacris Solemniis (Known for the final two verses: “Panis angelicus…”)Verbum Supernum Prodiens (Known for the final two verses: “O salutaris hostia…”)Pange Lingua (Known for the final two verses: “Tantum ergo…”)Lauda Sion (Known for its final verses: “Ecce panis angelorum…”)We're finally to the end of our series on St. Thomas' great hymns! In this episode we learn the great sequence for the Feast of Corpus Christi.ZION, PRAISE YOUR SAVIOR. Praise your Savior. Praise your leader and shepherd in hymns and canticles. Praise him as much as you can, for he is beyond all praising and you will never be able to praise him as he merits. But today a theme worthy of particular praise is put before us—the living and life-giving bread that, without any doubt, was given to the Twelve at table during the holy supper. Therefore let our praise be full and resounding and our soul's rejoicing full of delight and beauty, for this is the festival day to commemorate the first institution of this table. At this table of the new King, the new law's new Pasch puts an end to the old Pasch. The new displaces the old, the reality the shadow and light the darkness. Christ wanted what he did at the supper to be repeated in his memory. And so we, in accordance with his holy directions, consecrate bread and wine to be salvation's Victim.Christ's followers know by faith that bread is changed into his flesh and wine into his blood. Man cannot understand this, cannot perceive it; but a lively faith affirms that the change, which is outside the natural course of things, takes place. Under the different species, which are now signs only and not their own reality, there lie hid wonderful realities. His body is our food, his blood our drink. And yet Christ remains entire under each species. The communicant receives the complete Christ—uncut, unbroken and undivided. Whether one receive or a thousand, the one receives as much as the thousand. Nor is Christ diminished by being received. The good and the wicked alike receive him, but with the unlike destiny of life or death. To the wicked it is death, but life to the good. See how different is the result, though each receives the same. Last of all, if the sacrament is broken, have no doubt. Remember there is as much in a fragment as in an unbroken host. There is no division of the reality, but only a breaking of the sign; nor does the breaking diminish the condition or size of the One hidden under the sign.Behold, the bread of angels is become the pilgrim's food; truly it is bread for the sons, and is not to be cast to dogs. It was prefigured in type when Isaac was brought as an offering, when a lamb was appointed for the Pasch and when manna was given to the Jews of old.Jesus, good shepherd and true bread, have mercy on us; feed us and guard us. Grant that we find happiness in the land of the living. You know all things, can do all things, and feed us here on earth. Make us your guests in heaven, co-heirs with you and companions of heaven's citizens. Amen. Alleluia.

===================================================================================================== Adoro Te Devote (latim) Adoro te devote, latens Deitas Quae sub his figuris vere latitas Tibi se cor meum totum subiicit Quia te contemplans totum deficit Visus, tactus, gustus in te fallitur Sed auditu solo tuto creditur Credo quidquid dixit Dei Filius Nil hoc verbo Veritatis verius In cruce latebat sola Deitas At hic latet simul et humanitas Ambo tamen credens atque confitens Peto quod petivit latro paenitens Plagas, sicut Thomas, non intueor Deum tamen meum te confiteor Fac me tibi semper magis credere In te spem habere, te diligere O memoriale mortis Domini! Link to the musicHappy Solemnity of Corpus Christi! We present another one of St. Thomas's amazing hymns for this solemnity - Sacris Solemniis. St. Unto us he was given, he was born unto us of a Virgin untainted and pure; he dwelt among us in the world, sowing the seeds of God's word; and he ended the time of his stay on earth in the most wondrous of fashions. On his last night at supper, reclining at table in the midst of his brethren disciples, He fully observed the Ancient Law and partook of the Passover meal; and then, with his own hands, he gave himself up as food for the group of the Twelve. The Word made flesh, by a simple word, makes of his flesh the true bread; the blood of Christ becomes our drink; and though senses cannot perceive, for confirming pure hearts in true belief, faith alone suffices. In face of so great a mystery, therefore, let us bow down and worship; let precepts of the Ancient Law give way to the new Gospel rite; and let faith assist us and help us make up for what senses fail to perceive. Unto the Father and the Son, our praise and our joyful singing; unto whom saving power, honor and might, and every holy blessing; and to the Spirit who proceeds from both, an equal tribute of glory. Amen. LATINPANGE, lingua, gloriosi Corporis mysterium, Sanguinisque pretiosi, quem in mundi pretium fructus ventris generosi Rex effudit Gentium. Amen. Alleluia.
Kona Panis calls in to catch up with the Understable Minds before the guys get into all the drama from this past weekend's Champions Cup and preview the upcoming DGPT event in Jonesboro.
We talked about so many things including a wrap-up of the wacky Waco round. There were so many fun things to watch this weekend that I highly recommend you watch the full live coverage on top of the post-production videos! I also talked about Kona Panis's struggles continuing at Waco while Valerie Mandujano surges into the top of the field. Kristin Tattar has a great round but couldn't exactly catch Mandujano. And, Eveliina Salonen falls of a cliff in the final round as her ice-cold putter went into a deeper freeze at Waco. I go on a bit of a rant discussing the news that USDGC is going to be at Winthrop for the next 5 years. Plus, there were some less than stellar comments made towards the YouTube post-production crews. Christ had reached the “eventide” of his life, the culmination of his ministry before his Passion was to institute the Eucharist for his disciples, and then his church. Before he was given over to evil men, he gave himself to his disciples. As we mentioned, this hymn was produced as part of the divine office for the new feast of Corpus Christi, but it would serve very well to be sung during Holy Week around Holy Thursday. The heavenly Word proceeding forth,Yet leaving not his Father's side,And going to His work on Earth,Has reached at length life's eventide.By false disciple to be givenTo foemen for His blood athirst,Himself, the living bread from heaven,He gave to his disciples first. In twofold form of sacrament,He gave His flesh, He gave His blood,That man, of soul and body blent,Might wholly feed on mystic food.In birth man's fellow-man was He,His meat while sitting at the board; He died, our ransomer to be,He reigns to be our great reward.O SAVING VICTIM, opening wideThe gate of heaven to man below; Our foes press hard on every side,Thine aid supply, Thy strength bestow. All praise and thanks to thee ascendFor evermore, blessed One in Three;O grant us life that shall not end,In our true native land with Thee.1.
