Rally Ho and away we go! As Hanna Barbera entered their first, brief action/adventure phase, their old comedic roots would still be showing with this particular series at the same time. Thus you had the boisterous Ted Cassidy-voiced Frankenstein Jr bellowing his way through madcap monster battles while the Impossibles took on various eccentric criminals between jamming out. Hard to believe today this show was considered too violent for TV, when it was kind of mild even back then!

This week, we're back with the last six episodes of Frankenstein Jr. Join us as we say farewell to Buzz and his lovable giant robot sidekick. Join us as literal child Buzz Conroy and his pet robot Frankenstein Jr. use an infinite array of hyper-specific gadgets to assist the American military in defeating an array of foes that we have never seen before, but who all clearly have extensive history with Buzz (again, an actual child) and FJ. Oh, and one episode this time is kinda racist!

It's about time for a vaguely Halloween-themed show... so this week we're just talking about Frankenstein. Mary Shelley's novel introduced our favorite monster to the world way back in 1818 (which was also the last time we left the house). And 153 years later, the Frankenstein monster reached its final perfect form as a hideous pink breakfast cereal mascot. But there have been lots more versions along the way, in movies (with Sting and Flashdance!) (oh, and Boris Karloff), cartoons (Frankenstein Jr.! Drak Pack!), and even Saturday Night Live (with a little help from Tonto and Tarzan). And in television, besides our pal Herman Munster, there's also a 1979 Frankenstein sitcom that no one else remembers, nor should they. Coincidentally, our friends at DragonCon's American Sci-Fi Classics Track also released a Frankenstein show this week! Tune in and check it out. For better reception, adjust those weird bolts sticking out of your neck. The American Sci-Fi Classics Track's Frankenstein panel! Only if you dare: 1979's Struck By Lightning! Quello di oggi non è solo un ospite, ma un vero amico.Sto parlando di Roberto Colombo. Un artista che non ha un curriculum, ma l'elenco di tutti i musical fatti in Italia negli ultimi 15 anni.Cats, Grease, Hairspray, Jesus Chrsit Superstar, Fame, Rent, A Chorus line, Pinocchio, Il Principe della Gioventù, Frankenstein JR, Footloose, A Christmas Carol, e... potrei andare avanti ore. Some of my favorite comic book memories of growing up in the 1960s are of characters I long thought I imagined because most traces of them have been erased from existence: • Diaper Man • Secret Squirrel • Forbush Man • Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse • And that guy who shouted “SPLIT” just before various body parts of his broke apart to punch out the bad guys! MICHAEL EURY podcast excerpt: "I'm just fascinated with the past. As our culture keeps moving forward, it's easy to forget, and I didn't want this goofy period of the 1960s to be forgotten. A few people who have read the book said, 'Oh, so there WAS a Diaper Man!'" Michael Eury, a former editor at DC Comics and long-time editor of Back Issue! magazine, apparently saw what I saw. What a relief! In his new book, Hero-A-Go-Go: Campy Comic Books, Crimefighters, & Culture of the Swinging Sixties, Eury brings all these wacky characters and many, many more in a celebration of a simpler time, when Ralph Bakshi was better known for Cuckoo Man than Fritz the Cat.
