This is a Psalm about the transformation from a call to battle into a prayer for peace, and is set to ‘The King's Shilling' by the Scottish musician Ian Sinclair. The desire for peace is hard won, after facing the realities of war. In the same way, our prayers for people also become more fervent when we encounter the dreadful realities of war, and our hearts are softened as we utter our prayer of blessing on the next generation, that they will become “trees full grown” and “pillars firm,” and that our streets may not be filled with sorrow any longer. You can find lyrics, scores/books, mp3s, CDs for Come, Spirit, Come on the Celtic Psalms webpage (www.celticpsalms.com)Listen to Kiran and Celtic Psalms on TEDxThe journal is available in paperback format on Amazon! Here's the link to the paperback journal (available globally), and if you would be so kind as to leave a review on the Amazon platform in your region, that will help other readers find it! It has begun! The Filmlosophers and Intern Amy begin their annual journey into celebrating one of the most beautiful forms of cinema: anime! They kick off the festivities with a look at one of the incredible works of the late Akira Toriyama, 2013's Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.
Shakespearean scholar, professor, and Broadway actor Ian Sinclair Lassiter joins me for a deep dive into the horror of Shakespeare. We discuss not just Polanski's Macbeth, but the history of the play, the complexities of Shakespeare's mastery of language, the impact of witches in Elizabethan England, and explore the very real history of the Scottish play's famous curse.
We're wrapping this arc up! Soo-Won is saving the kingdom one well-placed threat sandwiched between lenient kindness at a time. Gulfan is still firmly a child of divorce. Also Hak and Yona sort of go on a date and we're very normal about it. Also covered: listener emails and whether or not Ian Sinclair is married to an 85 year old Australian woman. You know the drill. We're on twitter, tumblr, and gmail and we love chatting with you. Come find us if you want to, otherwise we'll see you next week!
Since he's not destroying the Earth, he might as well save it. WATCH RESIDENT ALIEN STARTING WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 26TH ON SYFY! We're also talking a bit of anime this week with Ian Sinclair and Jordan Dash Cruz. Plus, find out if the guys were prepared to sing or not! SING A BIT OF HARMONY IS AVAILABLE IN THEATERS STARTING ON JANUARY 23RD! This episode Chris and Pete are joined by one of the original members of the Justice League, Ian Sinclair. Ian is the manager of Amplifination and a diehard Leafs fan, so the brothers discuss his roster this year and how he balances managing his fantasy hockey roster and all the emotions that come with cheering for Toronto's NHL club. The guys touch on some year long predictions, trade talks and general fantasy strategy too!
ProZD + Pals Episode 53: Ian Sinclair by ProZD
Yona and Yun are trapped on the cargo ship with a bunch of scared girls and a handful of bad guys who are, quite frankly, really bad at their jobs. There are some bright shining moments in the anime - thank you Ian Sinclair - but this part is mostly kind of confusing and messy. (But next week is good and two weeks from now is absolutely fantastic so we're hanging in there!) Here's the fight scene from The Last Samurai I was talking about. It's probably a good thing Yona's bad guys aren't this competent because she's not nearly as good with a sword (yet?). If you agree or disagree with us and would like to tell us so, you can find us on twitter, tumblr, or gmail. See you all next week for the triumphant...beginning of a conclusion to this pirate arc.
Free Speech Union spokesperson Dane Giraud interviews veteran journalist Ian Sinclair (most famous for a lengthy stint on staple investigative show "Sunday"). The discussion ranges from Ian's encounter with real fascism in Franco's Spain that inspired his move into hard-hitting journalism, the prevalence of opinion pieces today and whether they harm the current media landscape, and the potentially troubling implications of the new 55 million dollar media fund. Not much has changed since last week. We're still in the Blue Dragon Village. He's still reluctant to join our heroes. Ian Sinclair kills it yet again. If you haven't seen Black Widow and are avoiding spoilers, maybe come back to this episode once you're finished with it. Spoiler warning for Angel and Agents of Shield, too, but those have been out for a while. You can also just be aware and skip that section when you get to it (it's towards the middle when the discussion turns towards the Blue Dragon having no control over his own emotions). As always, we're on The Socials. Hit us up with questions or comments. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!
covering episodes 426-429, One Piece Film: Strong World, and the spin-off special Strong World Episode 0 1:53 Chatting with the Hosts Black Clover – Kat really likes the mysterious fangy boy- whatever could this sexy character want? We recommend you check out The Weekly Planet Podcast (also available on any podcatcher)- they cover comic books and movies- and the ocassional game as well. Kat has been getting into cake decoration and baking, and recommends The Preppy Kitchen and The Icing Artist, but specifically the older videos- their new style isn't her favorite. Joel continues to toil away on a giant ice generator in Minecraft. And if you want to join him, you could consider supporting The Full Spectrum on Patreon, whose rewards include access to their discord. 9:54 Main Episode 11:09 We Discuss episodes 426-429 The filler episodes are not our jam at all. Very dull. Boring villains, forgettable child character We also discuss the question of "Are all the arcs in One Piece the same?" and whether that is a valid criticism 20:29 We Discuss Strong World and Episode 0 Young Sengoku, Young Garp, Luffy in a suit- this movie and special have the drip! And we appreciate the walk scene, arguably our favorite in all of One Piece. We also take a moment to love and appreciate Ian Sinclair's voice work as Brook and his debut in a One Piece dubbing role. Lastly, we dive into the sexualization of the women in One Piece, mostly focused on the outfits of this movie.
Collen Clinkenbeard "Monkey", Luci Christian "Nami", Ian Sinclair "Brook", Brina Palencia "Carmen", and John Gremillon "Dracule" answer fan questions at our GalaxyCon Q&A for One Piece.Originally aired live on December 6, 2020.
Ian Sinclair shares his Testimony
Go Plus Ultra with the cast from My Hero Academia! Deku (Justin Briner), Mezo Shoji (Ian Sinclair) Tenya Iida (J. Michael Tatum), Camie Utsushimi (Brittney Karbowski) and Mirko (Anairis Quinones) unite for an exclusive GalaxyCon Live interview
Go Plus Ultra with the cast from My Hero Academia! Deku (Justin Briner), All Might (Chris Sabat), Tsuyu Asui (Monica Rial), Mezo Shoji (Ian Sinclair) Tenya Iida (J. Michael Tatum), and Sir Nighteye (Brandon McInnis) unite for an exclusive GalaxyCon Live interview
Chatting with the Hosts starts at 2:42 Gyllian Flynn’s Gone Girl- a very well written psychological thriller. Kat did not care for the movie adaptation, but it does exist if you prefer a movie to a book. Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?- Not Joel's favorite, but he did appreciate one particularly memorable scene near the end of the first season. Paramecia Cast- we were invited on as guests for an episode with these fine folks! Give them a listen if you're hungry for more One Piece content. Even better, they're discussing the latest chapters so you need no fear spoilers! JoJo Part 6: Stone Ocean. We're still early on in the reading, but it hasn't quite gripped us yet. New Shonen Jump manga! Guardian of the Witch, Mashle: Magic and Muscles, Moriking, and Bone Collector. Joel would really highly recommend Mashle and Moriking. Between recording this episode and uploading it, Guardian of the Witch was prematurely cancelled- so we'll also plug Magu-chan: God of Destruction, which only has one chapter at the moment, but it is very funny and we highly recommend it. Black Clover- Joel is loving the current arc, and is excited to talk about the show in depth in a later bonus episode. We'll also be talking about Pre Cure not just in this episode but fairly often these next few episodes. Kat is watching Kira Kira Pre Cure A La Mode, while Joel is checking out Star Twinkle Pre Cure. And we both love what we're seeing so far. Main Episode starts at 20:40 Oh boy, we are excited for this arc to begin! We geek out about Ian Sinclair's voice acting as the talking, humming skeleton Brook! We love the comedy throughout these episodes and the amazing theming. There's also a handful of residents of Thriller Bark we can discuss. Although the talk does become serious as we talk about Absalom's assault on Nami and Robin, and how we feel about it. We also ask ourselves the age old question: "What's up with all these ghosts?" Thoughts From the Crew starts at 1:23:00.5 Seriously, what should we put here? Movie Reviews? WHat we had for lunch? We had chicken alfredo for dinner, and it was delicious! We have to eat gluten free, but we've honestly forgotten what "normal" noodles taste like, and it's great. That's one great thing about celebrities getting into the fad, it means more companies are investing into options that are healthy for those with Celiac's Disease.
A semi-rural walk along a new link road, and a discussion of Guy Debord's definition of Psychogeography, and how it has been adapted by Ian Sinclair and others. Finally I talk about my background as a landscape archaeologist and how it influences the way I respond to the built environment.
