ntermittent fasting is not a fad diet. It is an eating cycle that provides a timeframe for you to eat and a timeframe for you to fast. Always check with your medical practitioner before trying any new exercise, supplement, food, or fasting regime. People with medical issues should refrain from fasting, so always get clearance. If you are pregnant, want to conceive, breastfeeding, have low blood pressure, are diabetic, on medications, have an eating disorder, underweight, have difficulty processing sugar and many other health issues, remember to get clearance. Here are some of the benefits of intermittent fasting: aids in weight loss may lower blood pressure, and blood sugar levels may reduce inflammation may increase human growth hormone changes hormone levels to facilitate weight loss increases metabolic rate may reduce waist circumference Increases release of the fat-burning hormone norepinephrine helps you eat fewer calories may reduce “bad” LDL cholesterol, blood triglycerides may increase the brain hormone BDNF may aid the growth of new nerve cells may activate autophagy, the ability to old damaged cell components may decrease insulin levels, making it easier for the body to use stored fat. Very exciting clinical usage of intermittent fasting has occurred for individuals interested in boosting their immune system during this pandemic as a healthy lifestyle choice for prevention of the virus as well as recovery from it. Today I am dedicating this episode to talk about fasting. intermittent fasting, juicing, water fasting, and time-restricted feeding. It is not coincidental that I am approaching this topic right after the holidays when women tend to feel that after over-indulging during the festivities they need to take action and do something to bring balance and healing to their bodies. There is no better time than now to take charge of your health and wellbeing, increasing your energy, and moving towards feeling more present in your body. Here are the main topics of an episode filled with information and practical tips in regards to fasting: Reasons why you should fast. The amazing jobs your liver has. Your liver does not like to be pushed. When is a good time to fast? Water fasting How to prepare your juice Think about your adrenals How to start Intermitten fasting Check your bowel movements Eat your last meal 3 hours before bed. Respect your circadian rhythms Learn to manage light and dark. Give your body time for detoxifying, Avoid metabolic disease. Vitamin C is the number one antioxidant. Your skin is connected to your gut Your infradian rhythm and your diet. Hoping this episode has shown you other ways to approach detoxing, respecting the rhythms and processes of your body, and wishing you can put into practice some of these tools to, not only regain balance after the holidays. but to start shifting your daily habits towards a healthier version of yourself. 4 Reasons to Fasting // Vladimir Savchuk Don't forget to subscribe, share, and rate this podcast!Books, Podcast, Online School, Give https://linktr.ee/vladhungrygenPodcast Notes:Food is good, a gift from God! (1 Cor.8:8; 1 Tim. 4:4). Fasting should be a habit of praying and giving. Fasting is a normal part of being human. Jesus said, “when”, not “if” we fast. He modeled it and expected His followers to do the same. Fasting afflicts the soul Leviticus 16:29-31Purpose of Fasting: 1. Calamities of life Ezra for finances and protection (Ezra 8:21). Fasting is a Biblical way to humble yourself (Psalm 35:13; 69:10).2. Connecting with God Jesus said they will fast when I am gone (Mark 2:20).3. Calling of God . Most of the people in the OT fasted in crisis, Jesus fasted for His calling.4. Conquering of the devil (1 Samuel 7:6; 2 Samuel 1:12; 2 Chronicles 20:3; Matthew 17:21; Isaiah 58:6 )How to Fast:1. Make it a habit2. Take it slow3. Drink water4. Feed your spirit (u can’t control what you feel, control what you feed) 5. Try different types of fast (full, partial) 6. How you enter and end your fast matters7. Consult your doctor
Intermittent fasting explained I'm this one I talk about the benefits of intermittent fasting and the use of it specific to weight loss, fasting it's self has a ton of great health benefits but in terms of using it to accelerate fat loss it isn't going to be very effective unless you fast for longer durations. I am not an expert but I do think there are a lot of false claims about fasting! So hopefully this helps

You know the expression 'like a kid in a candy store'? Is that how many of us are eating these days? Over-stimulated, over-stretched and leaning on food not only for sustenance, but relief and comfort wherever and whenever we want...As a card-carrying emotional eater I've found that the only times in my life I've ever had any control over my weight is when I'm eating within a strict structure and that 'structure' usually means a rigid regime of counting points, macros, weighing my food, measuring every ingredient to the micro mg, cutting out entire food groups, blending my meals into some sort of 'shake' that could be better described as sludge and more - all of which is unsustainable in the long-term. I've been reading more and more about intermittent fasting (IF) and the benefits are seemingly endless and require little more effort than setting yourself an 'eating window' and sticking to it. Traditional eating habits include a breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks inbetween and you could time these meals at 8am, 1pm and 8pm or thereabouts. With IF the eating window is 12pm to 8pm.Tune in to find out how I'm going to ease my way into IF from otherwise random eating habits and what the real benefits might be to making this slight change to my eating patterns.
