In this episode of QAV, recorded on March 10, 2026, Cameron and Tony navigate a week of absolute market chaos triggered by escalating tensions in the Middle East and the resulting volatility in energy prices. The duo pays tribute to the legendary Brisbane entertainer Jamie Dunn (the man behind Agro) before diving into the "ready, fire, aim" nature of the current market, where a single Trump tweet can swing oil prices by 30% in a matter of hours. In the Club episode, Tony provides a comprehensive deep dive into Viva Energy (VEA), examining its shift from Coles Express to the "On the Run" (OTR) branding, the challenges of domestic refining, and the impact of illegal tobacco sales on convenience margins. They also touch on the "death of software" era, Cameron's success in coding a new commodity checker using AI, and why having a mechanical investing system is the only way to stay sane when the world feels like it's in a "black and white" prize fight.

This week we're joined by Jamie Dunn, COO of Lawo a pioneering IP-based video and audio technology company for broadcast production. John Clifton and Tegan Lloyd Williams hosted an honest and fantastic episode and one of the key messages that shone through was Jamie's great advice about taking opportunities when they present themselves. He's taken this advice himself on several occasions which has led to a rich and varied career and the chance to travel and live overseas. It was also wonderful to hear Jamie extol the virtues of just how powerful and longstanding radio and audio really is – visual content is having a boom right now, but Audio has never been so popular.

Jamie Dunn was the undisputed king of Brisbane radio, when the B105 Morning Crew was at the heart of the station's incredible ratings success during the 1990s and early 2000s. Jamie was also the voice and personality of children's character Agro. With features like 'Agro to the Rescue', 'Gotcha' calls and the Royal Children’s Hospital appeal, Jamie (alongside Ian Skippen and Donna Lynch, who was later replaced by Robin Bailey) created a Brisbane show that became the benchmark for FM breakfast radio. Jamie then joined The Morning Crew in Sydney alongside Wendy Harmer and Paul Holmes. Dunn has also hosted a variety of children's television shows, although he has retired his alter-ego Agro. Wendy Harmer is one of the pioneers of FM radio for female presenters in Australia. She was the first female host to take a lead role in a key metro market breakfast show, and her ratings dominance in Sydney for more than a decade is yet to be matched by any female host on FM. She began her radio career in the mid 1980s on Saturday nights at 3AK, and then moved to drive ABC Radio National. She was on the board of the first ever Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 1987, and even performed a stand up routine Harmer and Stubbs at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival with fellow game changers Richard Stubbs. From 1993 until 2004 she hosted The Morning Crew on 2Day FM with Paul Holmes and Jamie Dunn (who was later replaced by Peter Moon). She has also made her mark as a children's writer (for the Pearlie, which has been turned into an animated show), playwright and dramatist. She returned to radio in 2016 as host of ABC Sydney's 702 Mornings with Wendy Harmer. In Season Four we welcome our first sponsor: Radio Monitor.
