Only Time Will Tell with Jorgiea Raftopoulos on: Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Stitcher | Google Podcasts Today on the show, we discussed the art behind the sheep industry with Colorado rancher, Jorgiea Raftopoulos. Jorgiea shares what it's like to work on her family's operation, Two Bar Sheep Co., and what she wishes the public knew about the lamb and wool industry. This unique way of life is not as routinely talked about as, say, the beef industry, but it is still very much alive and thriving. There are years of tradition passed down from generation to generation, and Jorgiea shares her first hand experience, and the roles she fits into. The Two Bar Sheep Co. story dates back to the early 1900's when Jorgiea's family immigrated from Kaloskopi, Greece, a small mountain village in north central Greece. Northwest Colorado became their home, since the steep, mountain terrain reminded them of their homeland. Two Bar Sheep Co., continues to honor their roots by humanely and sustainably raising Rambouillet-Targhee ewes crossed with Rambouillet and Suffolk rams. Their commercial herd has been developed over 80 years and spans northwest of Craig, with rangeland spreading into Wyoming. Growth has also included adding commercial cattle and goat herds. They continue the family tradition with the same determination and tenacity of those before them in order to provide a high quality product for their consumers. In this episode we cover: A day in the life of a sheep herder at Jorgiea's family ranch, and the unique background that those individuals have. What Jorgiea wishes the general public knew about the lamb and wool industry. The family traditions passed down from each generation, and how the Raftopoulos family clearly communicates with one another. Easy and delicious ways to cook lamb for the whole family to enjoy! I first met Karoline Rose while serving as a National Ag Ambassador through the National FFA Organization. Karoline Rose is a small business marketing strategist and CEO from Montana on a mission to help businesses get to the next level by turning followers into paying customers. She prefers to spend her days in sale barns or on the ranch, but she's a pro at working from anywhere and will pour her heart into taking care of her clients. Listeners, you are in for a treat with today's guest on the Found podcast. Karoline Rose Bohannan is a multipassionate entreprenuer and rancher in Montana. Her mission is to provide space and resources for cattlewomen and people in agriculture to ensure that operations continue for generations to come. Get your pen (or, in Karoline's case, a pencil!) and paper because her business mind had me floored. You can tell a few times in the recording that I am totally tongue tied by her creative ideas! Key Takeaways Karoline comes from an agriculture-income family in Montana. Health challenges made college at Kansas State difficult, so she moved home and completed an animal science degree at Montana State. When it came time to accept a job, she realized she needed to work for herself. She wanted to work hard, just not for someone else, so she started selling cattle under her own company. Her first summer after college was rough, but she had a break selling cattle through social media in just seven minutes. Eventually seed stock companies approached her and she now does full service marketing. Karoline has three main branches of business: Full service marketing and design through KRose Company, education through Cattlemen U, and Rancher's Daughter, a farm to table resale store. As an Enneagram 8, Karoline is a challenger and loves a fast pace. Being busy for 8 hours is not the same as working for 8 hours. Do the hard hard work. “It takes on average 21 times for someone to see your work before they exchange money with you” Sales is different from marketing. If you are getting rave reviews from your clients but business is down, it is time to seek out more clients. More people need to know who you are and what you sell. Karoline is active in her community with belly up marketing: Volunteering and being involved where people can see you in person and shake your hand. EOS (Entrepreneurship Operating System) has been a game changer. Karoline is eager to learn and seeks input from her team. She says if you have integrity and are hungry you will do well. She is always going back to core values. Coming soon: Karoline is launching a personal brand and planner. Connect with Karoline Find Karoline's personal brand on Instagram which has links to each of her business branches.

Listen to The Art Behind Building an Intentional Life with Emily Reuschel on: Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Stitcher | Google Podcasts Today on the show, we discuss everything from proper goal setting, to empowering the next generation with our guest Emily Reuschel. Emily is a farmer's wife, mom of two, entrepreneur, sought-after motivational speaker, podcast host, and the leader of retreats and masterminds that propel rural women toward their truest, most-aligned goals and priorities. Emily was at her dream job - benefits, flexible hours, incredible coworkers, the option to bring her kids to work! - when she decided to *stop* ignoring the voice in her heart that told her she was meant for something different and *start* trying to figure out what that was… even if it involved leaving said cushy job to start her own business. (Which is exactly what she did!) She now helps other rural women do the same - to get clear on what they want, release the inner dialogue that tells them it's impossible, and go after the goals that are keeping them awake at night …. without giving up the small-town life they love. In this episode we cover: Emily's passion project of helping rural women navigate their own personal professional growth journeys. How living the entrepreneurial lifestyle can give you and your family the flexibility you desire. Teaming up with the change in the world around us to promote growth and stability within Ag businesses. How to address underlying fears in a healthy way. Taking a front seat to controlling what the next generation is taught. I'm going to answer some questions I've received lately, specifically, questions about cattle buying. In this cattle buying Q&A, the questions I'll be answering are: Are auctions catering to buyers and letting you pick and choose? Do you have any contracts for packing houses? How do they make money? Why is it hard to get a buyer to come to the ranch? How did you get a job as a cattle buyer and how did you get started?
