You have to put in the hard work, which in turn promotes respect and encourages discipline. To simplify and refine and strip back the excesses when it comes to beauty, takes the kind of wisdom and restraint that can only come through experience, and having suffered victories and setbacks. Social distancing had a huge impact upon not just the beauty sector but the way we interact and operate with each other. It may take another generation before it completely settles. Different life phases require us to redefine our wants and needs in order to align with who we are in the present moment. Depending on what phase we are in in life, we pinpoint what's working and what we have to release for our peace of mind and, ultimately, our joy. As we enter various life phases (from college student to adulthood, from single to married, from self-first person to selfless parent) we evolve into different beings because our wants and needs shift. Sometimes our wants and needs start to clash with the person we have become presently. (Enter the mid-life crisis!) Today's Make It Happen segment of The Love Sujeiry Show shares an inspirational message on how to accept these cycles and how transform our lives. I share my transitions and how I am redefining my wants and needs due to them. My choices have been altered since entering into motherhood. I am no longer the club girl that spent her life savings on a freakum dress only to wear it once! Listen, subscribe, and rate the podcast. Share it with all your friends! The RHONY (Real Housewives of New York) trailer is out and I have something to say about it. From knowing how to "tweak" to venturing to Harlem to getting more action than a toilet seat, I am so excited to watch the RHONY premiere on May 4th! It is so much needed as the current shows are underwhelming. Speaking of, Married to Medicine has a new wife, Anila, who is married to a doctor. And in this episode, she takes us to a Rakhi dinner that goes wrong thanks to Toya's mouth and Contessa's reaction. (I'm Team Contessa on this one!) Listen to my take on the new addition, Anila, the Toya, and Contessa beef heard around every Indian Rakhi dinner, and Dr. Jackie and Dr. Simone's friendship breakdown. RHOA brought up Marlo's Le' Archive and Fallon's Le Golf Club. Not only do I want to visit Marlo Hampton's version of Rent the Runway, but I want to take a photo with Fallon's golf clubs and that one piece of Madussa hair that fell off her head. (Thank you, Porsha, for that joke.) That's right! On this new segment of Self-Law Served Raw called "Reality TV Obsessed," I am dishing on Sunday's RHOA episode (March 21, 2021) and sharing my thoughts on Latoya's "betrayal," Latoya's thirtiness, Drew's son "old daddy," and, yes, Fallon's Halloween party with not a fun game or guest (other than the RHOA cast) in sight. In order to connect we have to disconnect. That's exactly what I did on Instagram. And it's not a hiatus, y'all. I basically said, "Bye Instagram!" much like Ken Todd of RHOB said, "Bye, Kyle!" #NeverForget In this podcast episode, I share the realizations that led to my decision to disconnect to connect. Perhaps this podcast episode will inspire you to disconnect from something or someone that is hindering you from true inner connection and being present with loved ones. I know that disconnecting from Instagram has set me free. Free from the need to be "liked" and from the obsessive status checks and scrolling. I am more connected to myself, my son, my friends, and family, and even have found more time to focus on what I love to do - create and write. So, don't follow me on the 'Gram. RHOA's Kenya Moore keeps slut shaming over Bolo! Who's Bolo? The stripper that graced the RHOA with his larger-than-life bolo. I was scared, y'all! And in today's episode, I dig into why we need Kenya Moore on RHOA and also why her slut shaming is truly problematic. As a former slut shamer myself, I get the inclination to judge women who want to let their freak flag fly but it's truly not supportive of women's sexual independence and liberation. Let them bang Bolo if they want, Kenya! Listen to my take on RHOA, Kenya's slut shaming, and bachelorette parties with strippers like Bolo on this reality TV show edition of Self-Love Served Raw. Do you need a Plan B career? If your dream career and life (plan A) hasn't panned out just yet or as you expected, that answer is "yes"! You need a Plan B career in the meantime to hold you down financially. You heard me right, in the meantime. I do not believe in giving up on our Plan A ever. We just need to sustain ourselves until our dream career is lucrative enough. In this episode of Self-Love Served Raw ("Make It Happen" edition) I share advice on the qualities of the best Plan B career you should find as you work toward your Plan A (ahem, dream life). A Plan B career should not take all of your time and energy, it should not be difficult to get into professionally, and it should be something you're good at and that you enjoy. Not as much as your Plan A but still, you DO NOT want to feel miserable. This and more on this episode. Listen, subscribe, share, and drop a review! Want more Love Sujeiry? What happens when we have too many side hustles? Often we scatter our energy and don't truly accomplish our goals. When we have too many side hustles we struggle to build that one dream we desire. So why do we do this to ourselves? Why do so many women have so many side hustles? It comes down to three things: chasing money, perception, and fear. Social media gurus and then some are teaching womenpreneurs that we are not "winning" if we do not have multiple streams of income. I'm here to dispel that by sharing what really happens to your energy and your projects when you have too many side hustles. Subscribe, share, and drop a review! Want more Love Sujeiry? In this weeks episode I am speaking to Jamie Windust. Jamie is an award-winning editor, writer, speaker, model, and activist (a true multi-hyphenated-multi-talented Gen Z). Jamie is an invincible voice for change within the fashion and beauty industries, having modelled for Gucci, LOVE Magazine, and DB Berden, alongside their magazine FRUITCAKE winning Graduate Fashion Week in London, in 2018, which has now been sold in countries all over the world. Jamie has written for national publications such as Metro UK, The Independent and Gay Times, and in December, 2019, was asked to speak at the 2nd TEDxLondon Womens' event at The Queen Elizabeth Hall. A very important talk to listen to - the link is below. Excitingly Jamie has recently released their first debut book, In Their Shoes, which on its very first day already shot to the top of the charts. In this episode Jamie touches on how they had to navigate an identity they weren’t given any example of - coming from a small, rural town - alongside a family who had yet to understand the fluidity of gender beyond societies conformities. Luckily, Jamie managed to start blogging their experiences online and found not only a voice, but also a community of like-minded people, and a place and reassurance of their own identity. Jamie is a delight of a person, and this episode was a true joy to record....enjoy! In this episode we get down to our thoughts on the recent MTV VMA looks from onstage to “red carpet.” Speaking of entertainment, we also celebrate the plight of Cardi B in fashion with her recent appointment as the face of Balenciaga. Also, the Paris Fashion Week schedule is out, but is PFW necessary this cycle with everything goin on around us? In the extended version, we lament in the departure of Katie Grand from her beloved Love Magazine and our ongoing discussion of the role of the Old Guard of the industry. On today’s episode (episode 24) I am joined by Editor in Chief, Photographer and Founder of LA based Self Love magazine, Sunday Morning View, Karlo Gomez.Karlo and I get into what its like to be a man in a women’s world – what it meant for him to create a magazine dedicated to self-empowerment for women, and how he came from Politics to Photography to Publishing. We talk about how SMV is changing the game when it comes to showcasing the natural beauty of women – no makeup, no editing, no filters just real, raw beauty and accentuating that, not covering it up! We get raw about the core values at SMV and how it is all about teaching women to say “I’m beautiful without the makeup, my stretch marks are special and I’m amazing!” Making women look and feel like art!We dive deep into body image and the body positivity movement and what that means for the women who engage with SMV, how they are shifting the narrative for women to one of acceptance and love. We chat sexuality and how showing the skin is ok, being you is ok, taking photos for YOU so you learn to see yourself in the most beautiful light possible is OK, appreciating you as you are, is OK. Karlo talks about the SMV Friday dance videos! What are they, and how they have become a viral hit? And he shares where the unique name Sunday Morning View came from? Hint, it’s a really cool story. Finally, Karlo tells us how SMV are actively involved in the BLM Movement and ending racism withing the publishing industry. Ben Cobb and Pierre A. M’Pelé discuss the creative process behind LOVE’s latest two-volume issue and how they responded to the unprecedented events of the last six months. LONDON, United Kingdom — What is the role of a fashion magazine at this moment in time? For Ben Cobb, editor-in-chief, men’s, of LOVE Magazine, and Pierre A. M’Pelé, the title’s senior editor, community and collaboration is key.Launching August 4, the latest iteration of the biannual magazine is two volumes of hardback books, titled “LOVE ‘Diaries 3 March - 4 July’ Volumes 1 and 2” featuring a total of four covers. “I hesitate to even call it a magazine,” said BoF Editor-at-Large Tim Blanks in conversation with Cobb and M’Pelé. “[It’s] a remarkable time capsule of this remarkable time.” Despite its triumphant final form, the process behind creating the magazine has not been without its challenges. “There were three senior members very ill with Covid,” said Cobb, describing how the team stepped in to carry out work depending on how healthy they were feeling each day, ahead of M’Pelé joining the team in late June. “We were exhausted and suffering from fatigue, [but] Pierre came in with so much energy.” As a highly collaborative process, it also dissolved the traditional hierarchy of the masthead — “a new way of putting together a magazine,” said Blanks, reminiscent of “the idealistic height of the ’60s.” Producing a fashion magazine — particularly one as extensive as LOVE’s two-tome edition — typically takes a long period of planning and forethought, but the seismic and fast-developing events of the last six months required quickfire changes. The Black Lives Matter protests of May and June “changed the course of action,” said M’Pelé, who himself attended protests in Paris. “The team was very reactive because it was a matter of ‘let’s speak now, let’s take a stance now and let’s be clear of our intentions now...’ If we hadn’t added these Black Lives Matter and systemic racism conversations into the magazine, it would have been too late.” In the wake of the murder of George Floyd, M’Pelé’s “manifesto,” a portable pamphlet-like insert in the book, “became a lot more about new voices, bringing people of colour into the picture,” he said. “I want someone to be able to take it out and give it to their racist aunt.” This period has also called into question the formats and fundamental role that fashion magazines assume. “Editorial perspective…[typically] crystallises a moment and it’s about dictating what that moment means,” said Cobb. “I think what’s been really incredible and transformative about this is that … that dynamic has been completely reversed and the moment tells you what it needs to be.” As for what the next issue of LOVE will look like, “Who knows?” said Cobb. “Maybe a magazine can just be a film.” Related Articles:Katie Grand Names Ben Cobb Co-Editor-in-Chief of LOVEFor Fashion Magazines, It's Crunch TimeHow to Make a Magazine Under Lockdown

Ciao, ho provato ad analizzare la moda odierna servendomi delle ultime sfilate, e questo è il risultato. Se vi piace proverò a farlo ancora... Nel frattempo eccovi la qualunque citata nell'episodio
"Just be confident and brave and just trust yourself and jump and go with it. Because if you don't, no one else will. And as I said, if you just stay on the safe side, then it'll be safe, and nothing will happen. So, jump and trust yourself. Your mind can do amazing things." Morgane PolanksiThis episode was recorded Live on stage at the Design and Advertising New Blood festival in London in July 2019. I had the pleasure of interviewing actress and film director Morgane Polanksi. You may recognise the name and for good reason, Morgane is best known for acting in films and TV series such as Vikings, The Ghost Writer, The Pianist and The Wife, just to name a few. Daughter of film director Roman Polanksi and French actress Emmanuel Seigner, she is also following in her father’s footsteps and carving a career as a film director with her recent directorial short ‘The Stroke’ already earning her critical acclaim. I was extremely lucky to share the stage with her as I got to uncover some great insights during our conversation – including an understanding into the acting world and the ups and downs that come with such a demanding career. Highlights for me were talking about her short ‘The Stroke’ and Morgane’s creative process, getting an understanding of what goes into her acting work on the TV Series The Vikings, the background story into her directional work for The Love Magazine and Dior; but also her experience working alongside big film directors such as Wes Anderson.Morgane is wise beyond her years, listen out for her very sound advice as she has plenty! As you can imagine the film world is not an easy one and I thank her for being so honest and open with her vulnerable moments and the lessons she drew from them.I hope you enjoy this honest and wide-ranging conversation. If you’d like to watch Morgane’s film The Stroke, you can view it here: https://vimeo.com/363799036

My guest today is the wonderful Hari Nef: model, actress, activist and first trans woman signed to IMG Worldwide, one of the biggest model management firms in the world. She has graced the covers of publications such as Elle UK, Love Magazine and Interview, and has appeared in editorials in Vogue and Wonderland Magazine, among others. She may be currently best known for her role in the Emmy award-winning series TRANSPARENT. Hari currently lives in LA and is currently starring in the Gucci Bloom fragrance campaign alongside Dakota Johnson and Petra Collins. Most recently Hari has starred in black comedy thriller Assassination Nation (also starring Suki Waterhouse) which is out now in UK cinemas. It is about a group of best friends live in a world of selfies, emojis, snaps and sexts. But when their town of Salem is besieged by a massive data hack, resulting in half the citizens’ private info spewed into the public view, the community descends into anarchy. The Times have called it "The Crucible for the Instagram era" and critics at The Guardian have said it "feels like the product of a one-night stand between Spring Breakers and The Purge."In this episode we chat about the film, dealing with internet storms, how to follow your gut when choosing which projects to work on and why she loves working on thrillers that centre around social media. Hope you enjoy! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
