When do you start Bryce, because Game 2 is in Norman and Game 3 is in Lincoln. They got OL Brady Norton who's an addition to the 2023 class, Donaven McCulley we like as that downfield threat. Wanted to see more WRs and a TE and better luck at OL: Josh Thompson chose LSU. 3. Portal: Defense Starts at 43:50 Hot takes segment has ideas for retaining the Outback Bowl legacy. Damon Payne is a very good pickup even though he's not flashy because DTs are a premium position and he's a decent SEC player. Troy Bowles was in a stacked LB room, comp is Hausmann. Metcalfs played at Chip Lindsay's high school in Pinson, Alabama, TJ is a high floor for the safety position and Tevis is a developmental cornerback. Don't have any glaring needs. Discussion of Barham's move to edge—think it's a Jaylen Harrell position thing in the 5-2, which is more about holding the edge than rushing it. Always get a 5th year cornerback, but they can get that on the cheap later in the process. 4. Basketball vs WKU/PFW and Big Ten Outlook Starts at 1:04:48 After the Oklahoma loss that we're STILL MAD about, the threes are falling, which makes this team utterly terrifying. WKU chose not to defend the perimeter, had a lot of injuries, and PFW was also super small up front so those are not great tests. Good news: Big Ten doesn't have a lot of NBA guards who can tear them up by driving. USC-UCLA road trip next week will be fascinating—USC is a bunch of power forwards even with T-Will out for the season and UCLA is all defense. An diesem vierten Tag der Paris Fashion Week wurden uns Visionen präsentiert, Diversität gefeiert und Lust auf die Zukunft gemacht. Die erste Show, die wir in dieser Podcastfolge besprechen, war von Mulger. Die exzentrischen und futuristischen Entwürfe des Modelabels begeistern uns immer wieder aufs Neue. Die dunkle, schöne Dramatik dieser Kollektion hatte jedoch deutlich mehr Facetten. Messerscharf geschnittene Damenanzüge, verdrehte Organzakleider und militärische Cargotaschen. Aber da war noch mehr, all diese Strenge schien aufzubrechen, zu erblühen. Geometrie traf auf organisch wachsende Strukturen, die aus einzelnen Kleidungsstücken herauswuchsen. Als würde eine Pflanze keimen. Wir finden das Tres Chic. Die Schiaperelli Fashion Show war einfach sensationell schön. Korsagenkleider, Trenchcoats und raffinierte Chiffonkleider. Die Safari-Tour des Designers, die mit der letzten Haute Couture Kollektion begann, wurde mit dieser Ready to Wear fortgesetzt. Eine märchenhaft exotische Feier der Weiblichkeit. Kommen wir zum lang erwarteten Highlight dieser Fashion Week Saison. Die Shows des Anti-Fashion-Designers Rick Owens sind weit mehr als nur eine Runway-Show. Hier trifft Avantgarde-Mode auf künstlerische Inszenierung. Ein Wort beschreibt das wohl am besten: Oper. Die Hollywood-Kollektion für die Saison Frühjahr/Sommer 2025 zeigte anschaulich, wie man unterschiedliche Körperformen in eine faszinierende Inszenierung einbindet. Die Show begann fast wie ein Trauermarsch in Schwarz, die zahlreichen Models bildeten eine Parade der Vision von Rick Owens. Die epochale Stimmung wurde durch die charakterstarken Models und verschiedene Denim-Kleider, bodenlange Capes und viele breite Schultern unterstrichen. Paris und die Fashion Week: Seit über 100 Jahren findet in der französischen Hauptstadt die einzig wahre Modewoche statt. An unserem dritten Tag und damit in unserer dritten Podcast-Episode konzentrieren wir uns wieder auf drei herausragende Modelabels. Courrèges, bekannt für Klarheit, Einfachheit und Optimismus, präsentierte seine Show in einem schlichten Tempel mit einem riesigen Perlenspiel in der Mitte. Die Models trugen hauptsächlich Schwarz, Weiß und Beige. Geradlinige Silhouetten, fast ein wenig langweilig, meditativ trifft es wohl eher. ACNE Studios aus Schweden mischt seit Jahren die Modewelt mit ihrem schwer zu definierenden Stil auf. Jede Saison anders, jede Show eine Überraschung. Klar, dass es hier viel zu entdecken gab. Wilde Mustermixe, ausgefallene Hosenvariationen und exzentrische Einflüsse bestimmten die Designs. Diese Modenschau war nicht unser Favorit, dennoch empfehlen wir, sie sich anzuschauen und sich selbst ein Urteil zu bilden. Die letzte Modenschau war eigentlich eine Gala. Die Balmain-Kollektion des Designers Olivier Rousteing bestach mit extrem prägnanten Schultern, feurigen Blusen und raffiniertem Colorblocking. Glitzer und viel satte Farbe dazu eine ordentliche Portion Schwarz, zusammen geführt in einem 80iger Jahre Vibe. Weniger gut fanden wir allerdings die vollflächigen Motive auf einigen Kleidern. Es ist der zweite Tag der Fashion Week in Paris und unsere Vorfreude auf die heutigen Fashion Shows war riesig. Auch wenn der Showkalender heute etwas voller war, konzentrieren wir uns in unserem Podcast Special auf drei Fashion Brands. Eines der wichtigsten und bekanntesten Modeunternehmen Frankreichs hat uns besonders überrascht. Anders als erwartet war die Kollektion von Dior immer noch vom olympischen Gedanken inspiriert. Bikerjacken, Mantelkleider und viel Schwarz und Weiß sind die Hauptmerkmale der Sommersaison 2025 bei Dior. Zu sportlich und etwas an der Zielgruppe vorbei. Leider kein J'adorè Dior. Exzentrisch und künstlerisch gewagt war dagegen die Kollektion von Hodakova. Die diesjährige Gewinnerin des LVMH Prize zeigte einmal mehr ihre Vorliebe für Upcycling und außergewöhnliche Outfits. Nicht jedermanns Geschmack, aber den ersten Platz als Nachwuchsdesignerin hat sie sich redlich verdient. Eine weitere Modeikone rundete den Tag ab. Die Runway Show von Saint Laurent überraschte am Abend mit einer gehörigen Portion 80er Retro. Breite Schultern, breite Schultern und nochmal breite Schultern. Herrenanzüge für alle Geschlechter und viel Strenge. Hier und da blitzen Urlaubsvisionen von Marrakesch auf. Am Ende der Show noch ein bunter Mustermix und die Erkenntnis, dass nicht alles gefallen muss, aber es gut ist, dass es die Mode gibt. Was für ein Abschluss des Tages. It may be the start of 2024, but in our new episode we are discussing the highest grossing movie of 2023 - BARBIE - and Greta Gerwig, its history-making director and co-writer. The founder of the streetwear sensation broke into fashion thanks not only to his steely determination and breakthrough creative ideas, but also the unwavering support of the community he built from the ground up.Background: Within a decade, Colm Dillane, the New York-based founder and designer of streetwear label KidSuper, went from selling T-shirts to fellow students out of his New York University dorm room to winning the the Karl Lagerfeld Special Jury Prize at the LVMH Prize in 2021 and designing a one-off menswear collection for Louis Vuitton. But it wasn't a straight shot to success. The now 32-year-old has had to learn the ropes of fashion the hard way, maxing out his bank account, taking risk after risk to figure out how to transform his creativity into a bonafide business. Through it all, Dillane has focused on community-building as an end goal.“It's always funny when brands reach out to me and they're like, ‘We love the community you created'. I would always be like, ‘They're creating community to sell product. I was selling product to create community. What are you doing this for? If it's not to meet interesting people?” says Dillane. This week on The BoF Podcast, BoF founder and editor-in-chief Imran Amed sits down with Dillane to discuss his journey as a designer and his lessons for emerging fashion designers and entrepreneurs. Key Insights:Dillane came from outside fashion, and from the start, has used his creativity to get the industry's attention. “When I was young, [I felt] the fashion industry was the most elitist, stand-offish, impossible thing to break into,” he recalls. But in navigating his way further into the industry, he saw that “creativity and new ideas are embraced and supported and championed more so than I thought they would be,” When musicians started asking about the brand, Dillane didn't simply ship off his T-shirts, hoodies and hats to them. Rather he wanted to build a relationship. “I always wanted to meet people, so I would never send clothing, I would send myself,” he says, recalling how meeting the late rapper Mac Miller in person led to one of the brand's first breaks — with the musician sporting a KidSuper hat on an album cover.Even amid the big breaks, perseverance is critical, he says. In 2019, he thought his brand would catapult to fame overnight after receiving a rave review in Vogue following his first show, a hastily produced off-calendar event during Paris Fashion Week. The reality was different. “I get this amazing review… I'm now a superstar designer. [But] nothing changes in my life,” recalls Dillane. Link, Ed.D., is an Assistant Professor of Teaching & Leadership and Director of the Master of Science in Teaching & Leadership program at the University of North Dakota. She holds a doctorate in Leadership & Policy Studies from the University of Memphis, and her research focuses on developing and supporting highly effective leaders and organizational cultures that prioritize effective grading practices, collaboration, and meaningful assessment. She is the co-author of Cornerstones of Strong Schools: Practices for Purposeful Leadership (with J. Zoul, 2007), and author of Leadership in Grading Reform in What We Know About Grading (Guskey, T. R., & Brookhart, S. M., Eds., 2019) as well as multiple book chapters and articles such as Is Standards-Based Grading Effective? (2022), Are Your Grading Policies Legally Sound? (2021), How Traditional Grading Contributes to Student Inequalities and How to Fix It (2019), and Teachers' Perceptions of Grading Practices: How Pre-service Training Makes a Difference (2018). Dr. Link also leads K-12 assessment and grading academies and has led an array of other professional development efforts, classes, and initiatives over her career. Since 2002, Dr. Link has presented locally and nationally on the topics of high-impact leadership, K-12 grading, mastery learning, research-practice partnerships, teacher support, and more.  Before joining UND, Dr. Link served as Associate Dean of the College of Public Service at the University of Houston-Downtown in Texas. At UHD, she created the university's first-ever Educational Leadership graduate programs, including a Foundations of Educational Leadership Certificate that is the only one of its kind in the state of Texas, and she facilitated an array of K-12 district partnerships. She also created the UHD's first Urban Education Advisory Board, which involves superintendents and executive leaders from across the greater Houston region. Additionally, Dr. Link was an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at Purdue University Fort Wayne in Indiana. At PFW, she was an active member of the CAEP Assessment Steering Committee, led various local K-12 assessment and grading academies, co-facilitated PFW's University Leadership Academy, and directed the Professors in Partnership K-16 collaborative.  Prior to her higher education experience, Dr. Link served as Chief Academic Officer at Jackson-Madison County Schools in Jackson, TN, and was Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning as well as Chief of Talent Management in Shelby County Schools in Memphis, TN. She was 1 of 7 Transition Steering Committee members charged with leading the largest school district merger in United States' history. Additionally, Dr. Link has served in an array of central office and school-based administrative roles (in both urban and suburban settings) and has taught elementary, middle, high school and college students over her 32 years in public and private education. Dr. Link also served as a long-standing state Board Member of Learning Forward Tennessee and President of Learning Forward Indiana, a professional association devoted exclusively to those who work in K-16 professional development.
