Got big goals for your shop this year? Shop Boss can take them to the next level! In this episode, Jimmy Purdy is joined by Jim Cokonis to discuss the significance of mindset and culture in business, especially within the realm of technician coaching. Jim Cokonis shares an anecdote about Simon Sinek to highlight the benefits of positive management on employee satisfaction. Jimmy emphasizes the difference between treating technicians as people versus mere productivity tools and suggests focusing on positive aspects to boost morale. They also examine the importance of interactive, hands-on learning and its impact on knowledge retention, advocating for a tiered certification system to motivate continual professional development. 00:00 Balancing multiple roles is challenging for operators.06:51 Toyota thrives on growing and maintaining culture.12:23 Finding issues provides dopamine, possibly fostering negativity.17:22 Present value to customers to prevent dissatisfaction.24:01 Questioning the value of training certifications.28:50 Recognize achievements to encourage self-improvement voluntarily.35:52 Vehicle tracks data; uses ISO class 6 fluid.40:08 Hands-on learning is essential for AC proficiency.43:58 Teach others for higher retention and improvement.49:36 Occupations now require technical reading and understanding.56:19 Teaching each other enhances growth and learning.01:00:10 Basics are key, teaching martial arts inspires.01:05:09 Ensure comma placement for proper pause timing.
Morning Mantra: "You can't litter negativity everywhere you go, then wonder why you have a trashy life."It's sad to me to hear someone complain all the time. To be so negative in their thoughts. To hear them find fault and conflict in everything. It's even more difficult to comprehend if you understand that you reap what you sow. Meaning that if you put negativity out there, that's what will come back to you. Being positive doesn't mean you'll never feel negative or have negative things happen, it means you will recognize it and overcome it. It means you experience the negative with the understanding that you have a choice in how you respond.Your thoughts have so much power over the quality of your life. You must train yourself to look for the good, the true, the positive, because you'll never have a positive life with a negative mind.#BeAPositiveThinker #BeHappy #BeHorsey #BeHippie #HorseHippie #MorningMantra #inspirationalQuotes #MorningMotivation #Equestrian #HorseLover #QuotesToInspire #HorseHippieBrand #HorseHippieBoutique

It sounds completely counterintuitive to not correct your team when things go wrong. This is not about accountability. This is about what happens every day and all day. On this week's episode of the Leadership Lifestyle Podcast, listen in about what happens when you constantly lead through correction. More importantly, learn how much more productive your team can be when you focus on the behaviors you actually want, not what you don't want. We all know that is the way forward in our own lives that when we focus on good behaviors such as eating right and getting enough sleep, we feel better. So why don't we do that for the people on our teams? Too many managers want to control things and micromanage but that never leads to growth. Take the 30-day challenge of simply focusing your team on the behaviors you want and watch how they gravitate to that, while at the same time, some of the bad behaviors start to disappear on their own. Cindy Esliger talks about the detrimental effect of rising stress levels and changing workplace priorities on our interactions with others. In these days where stress is an inevitable part of our daily lives, it's more important than ever to maintain positive relationships with colleagues. Our stress affects our patience, making us assume the worst of those we work with when we need to learn how to assume the best. Juggling multiple tasks, looming deadlines, and the demand for high-performance standards all increase our stress levels while simultaneously wearing our patience thin and causing us to misinterpret simple things like a missed email or misunderstood directive. We assume that the other person is ignoring us, or worse, attacking us in some way. We never stop to consider that they may simply be as stressed and busy as we are and that the missed email was a simple mistake. Assuming the worst leads us to say things we regret and erodes the important trust we need to maintain with our colleagues. How can we break the cycle of negativity? We need to strive to assume the best of each other. Cindy shares five practical steps designed to aid us in assuming positive intent: 1) Pause and reflect, 2) Communicate openly instead of jumping to conclusions, 3) Practice empathy, 4) Focus on solutions, not blame, and 5) Celebrate contributions. In this episode, Cindy breaks down the steps in detail and instructs us on how to handle difficult managers and personalities, control our emotions, and look at things objectively. Her advice paves the way for assuming the best, not the worst, from those we work with. In the realm of human experience, the power of mindset cannot be overstated. Our thoughts shape our reality, influencing how we perceive the world and interact with it. While both positive and negative mindsets have their own respective impacts, it is often observed that maintaining a negative mindset requires considerably more effort than cultivating a positive one. This phenomenon can be attributed to a myriad of psychological, physiological, and behavioral factors, each contributing to the intricate workings of the human mind. Through an exploration of these factors, we can gain insight into why it takes more effort to be in a negative mindset than a positive one. At its core, the human brain is wired for survival. Throughout evolutionary history, our ancestors faced numerous threats and challenges, requiring them to remain vigilant and attuned to potential dangers in their environment. This inherent negativity bias, ingrained within the neural circuitry of the brain, predisposes us to pay greater attention to negative stimuli than positive ones. From an evolutionary perspective, this bias served as a survival mechanism, helping our ancestors to identify and avoid threats in order to ensure their survival. In the modern world, however, this negativity bias can lead to a skewed perception of reality, amplifying negative experiences while minimizing positive ones. When individuals adopt a negative mindset, they become hyper-focused on perceived threats and shortcomings, leading to a heightened state of stress and anxiety. This constant state of vigilance not only drains mental energy but also impairs cognitive functioning, making it more difficult to problem-solve and adapt to challenges effectively. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/wayne-weathersby/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/wayne-weathersby/support
As a healer and light worker, one of the biggest breakthrough moments is when you realize that you can't save everyone and that you have to watch them fail at their own karmic lessons. In this episode, we go over how to get through this universal injustice and how to separate the 5D version of the person you meet and the 3D version of them, that might not be willing to work on their wounds to meet their highest self. I also talk about how to tell if you're in an imbalanced connection, where you're trying to save the other person without realizing it.

In this episode, I'm diving deep into the art of transformation and how you can harness the power of positivity to create a better life for yourself. Our reality is shaped by the frequencies we tune into. Think of it like tuning a radio in an old car with a knob. If you tune in to 92.2, that's what you hear. But other frequencies are playing simultaneously. To change what you experience, you must change the station you're tuned into. Your thoughts and actions are the keys to this transformation. Thoughts set the intention – like deciding to tune in to a particular radio station. But action is what turns the dial, taking you to that frequency. It's a mix of gratitude in thought and movement. When you commit to something, you're showing love to what you wish to become. It's not just about doing the work to get there; the work is a form of gratitude. Let's say you want a healthy, fit body. You have to eat and exercise in alignment with that goal, but it's not just work; it's gratitude. Your thoughts create a vision of a healthier you, while your actions demonstrate your commitment to it. The world around you isn't fixed; it's a reflection of your energy and perspective. If you want to change the world you see, you must first change yourself. Mental and physical perspectives must work in harmony because you exist in a physical world. You can't merely dream and envision; you must also act to show love and commitment to the vision. The world is as you are, not the other way around. Different people can have vastly different experiences even if they're in the same place at the same time. Your perspective is shaped by the frequency you're tuned into. If you're stuck in a pattern of repeating the same experiences, it's time to shift your energy. You can't coexist with different energies for long; they'll either reject you or you'll reject them, like magnets repelling one another. So, if you want a shift, look inward and start by aligning your mind and body with your desired frequency. - Henry -------------------------------- Request Coaching Info -------------------------------- Social Media Say hi on TikTok Say Hi on Instagram Facebook Group! -------------------------------- Email Me henry@vibeabundant.com -------------------------------- Email List --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/positive-mindset-podcast/support
