Journaliste et professeure de littérature, Tetyana Ogarkova est l'autrice avec son mari d'une admirable série de podcasts intitulée « L'Ukraine face à la guerre ». Igor Stick a quitté Sarajevo assiégé à 15 ans et se consacre aujourd'hui à la recherche et la littérature. Chacun à leur manière, ils ont vu la guerre de près. Rencontre animée par Léna Mauger, rédactrice en chef de la revue Kometa. Enregistrée le 29 novembre 2024 dans le cadre de l'accueil des Dialogues Européens à Rennes, un cycle de de débats organisé par l'Institut Français.

Patrick Mauger grandit au bord des plages de Normandie. Passant outre l'inquiétude de ses parents, il part étudier l'architecture à Marseille. Il poursuit par un cursus en communication à Nantes, puis s'envole vers l'Amérique du Nord. A son retour et au début de sa carrière, il atterrit à Paris, passe par un certain nombre d'agences : Dubosc et Landowski, Viguier et Jodry, Jean-Michel Wilmotte au moment du projet des intérieurs du musée du Louvre (avec Ieoh Ming Pei).Finalement il prend son envol, démarre à son compte avec des petits concours. Petit à petit, il devient avec son agence l'architecte des projets complexes. Agilité, souplesse caractérise l'approche. Ils imaginent notamment des lieux d'enseignement et de recherche. Dans ce numéro de Com d'Archi, de sa voix posée, avec une expression parfaite, Patrick Mauger parle de la naissance de sa vocation, de son parcours avec la création de son agence, puis de sa recherche en neuro-architecture, des projets de l'agence. Al Fontes is a National Wrestling Hall of Fame Writer, who has years and years of experience with the sport. And although writing wasn't his FIRST passion, he has now become one of the best to do it. His ability to break down the sport and cover the athletes involved, is incredible.  Today we get to hear from him and learn of his background in the sport and where he came from. Aaron Mauger loves rugby, he's so passionate about the game and he is so grateful for his involvement in the game and he's certainly been involved! From playing for Canterbury straight out of school, to becoming a Crusader and All Black not long after. He then moved to Leicester were he won premierships over there, before injuries forced him to retire at just 30. Post playing he was always going to stay in the game and with his incredible rugby knowledge has gone on to become a great coach! Some bit's that stood out for me were... His relationship with his brother Nathan and their mindset playing together  How hard it can be for a young 10 to come in boss the team around especially when one was your teacher the year before The massive influence Andrew Mertens had on him The night of the 96-12 win over the Waratahs and the story behind the front flip The 2003 and 2007 RWC experiences The struggle of wanting to keep playing when the body is breaking down The reality of the life as a coach and the impact that can have on your family And heaps more I loved hearing about Azza's mindset on how he approaches life, he's very grateful for every thing and he has a real passion for the game of rugby. Over 100 firefighters, 12 helicopters and two fixed-wing planes are working to fight the raging fire in Christchurch's Port Hills. The fire was reported at 2.45pm yesterday on Worsleys Rd and had spread over an area of 100 hectares by the evening. Christchurch mayor Phil Mauger says rubberneckers seem to have heeded the message to stay away. "We've had FENZ-led meetings at the community centre, which is our evacuation hall. Christchurch is in for a scorcher today, with 28 degrees and wind from mid-morning as the Port Hills fire continues to burn.  More than 130 firefighters, two helicopters and two fixed wing aircraft are on the scene this morning, replacing overnight crews.  Christchurch Mayor Phil Mauger told Mike Hosking that eighty properties in the area had been evacuated.  He said that all the emergency services are together at the Justice Precinct Centre, calling it an “extremely good asset.  The fire looks worse at night time, Mauger told Hosking, as the darkness accentuates the flames burning.  The fire is happening in the same area as the last blaze which happened almost seven years ago to the day.  LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

There's hope the Commonwealth Games could return to Christchurch fifty years on from the 1974 event. Mayor Phil Mauger has recommended the city host the 2030 Games, and Christchurch city councillors voted to run a viability report. Mauger hopes an event of this scale will help turn Christchurch into the sporting and events capital of New Zealand.
