Voice-actor, Townsend Coleman is perhaps one of the most recognizable voices on TV. For 16 years, he was the voice of NBC's "Must See TV" and "Comedy Night Done Right" primetime comedy promos, including hits from Seinfeld and Frasier to 30 Rock and The Office, as well as the promos for "The Tonight Show" starring Jay Leno (then Conan), "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" (then Jimmy Fallon), "Last Call with Carson Daly" and "Saturday Night Live". He currently voices the daily on-air promos for the long-running "Live with Kelly and Michael" and radio spots for "Judge Judy", in addition to regularly voicing primetime promos for ABC Family, The Hub, and now, ABC-TV. But the character behind the voice really came to life in 1985, when Coleman, having just moved to Los Angeles from Cleveland, Ohio, auditioned for and got a part on the animated hit, "Inspector Gadget". As the voice of Corporal Capeman, Gadget's bumbling assistant, he embarked on an entirely new career, providing the voices for some of the most memorable characters in cartoons and commercials. In addition to thwarting evil as the voice of "The Tick", Fox Kids' hit animated series, he has provided the voices for many popular cartoon characters, including Michaelangelo, Rat King, and Usagi Yojimbo on the original, long-running cartoon series, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". He also voiced Waldo on "Where's Waldo?", Gobo, Architect, and Wrench on NBC's animated "Fraggle Rock", Scott/Teen Wolf on "Teen Wolf", Scratch on "Spacecats", the voice of Wayne Gretzky on "Prostars", Riot on "Jem and the Holograms", Dragonflyer on "Glofriends", Rewind on the 80's "Transformers", and 20 years later, Sentinel Prime on "Transformers: Animated" for Cartoon Network, Neddy the Mallet on "Mighty Magiswords" for Nickelodeon, and the voice of Jason Whittaker on Focus on the Family's popular radio drama, "Adventures In Odyssey" Follow Townsend here : https://twitter.com/IBTALKN https://www.instagram.com/ibtalkn https://www.facebook.com/townsendcoleman/

Featuring: Panels on Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Westworld, Legion, Riverdale, Fantasy Island (!), Detective Chimp (?), and more; The Star Wars Holiday Special (original and puppet show versions); Doctor Who's Matt Smith; the casts of Mystery Science Theater 3000, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and Birds of Prey; Howard the Duck's big day in court; Fake Adam Savage; RetroBlasting; Wicked Geeky; Yoda; pie; Captains Kangaroo and Crunch; Mighty Magiswords; and the debut of the new book Earth Station One: Tales of the Station Volume 2! (Warning: This book contains a goofy story by Kevin which may or may not feature a space chicken.) We also started DragonCon with some very rainy birdwatching, and ended DragonCon with an amazing Greater Atlanta Chicken Tour. We like to keep things strangely bird-themed. Also: We learn Kornflake's September podcast pick, and we celebrate 1981 with soft rock and Brady Brides. Now we'd better start preparing for DragonCon 2018. See you there, eighty thousand crazy people!

Since two geeky conventions happened the same weekend, we divided and conquered. Kornflake wandered up to New Hampshire for Granite Game Summit, where she enjoyed a new game called Junk Art (but don't forget the classics, kids; we're still endlessly amused by Hungry Hungry Hippos). Meanwhile Kevin was at Super Megafest, along with the guys from Rubber Chicken Comics, the ladies of Wicked Geeky, Niki Luparelli and the Gold Diggers, "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart, Ralph Macchio (The Karate Kid), David Mazouz (Gotham), Richard Dean Anderson and Richard Grieco (best known for their Facts of Life backdoor pilots), Aileen Quinn (from the 1982 Annie movie, and her fun new band The Leapin' Lizards), and yes, Meat Loaf. Also: Our friends Kyle and Lindsay made a VERY quick trip to Massachusetts (because they were kidnapped by Kornflake) for water aerobics, brunch, and butterflies. (You're all watching Kyle's new cartoon series Mighty Magiswords, right? RIGHT?) And it's National Cookie Monster Day, which is good enough for us.

Editor-in-Chief Paula Gaetos chats with artist Kyle Carrozza, creator of the Cartoon Network animated series, Mighty Magiswords. Recorded: August 1, 2016 Kyle Carrozza was the Tokusatsu Network's inaugural Artist Feature and we were very happy to be able to chat with him about his latest work on Cartoon Network, Mighty Magiswords. Mighty Magiswords is set to premiere on September 29th at 6:30pm. The show centers around the adventuring siblings,  Prohyas and Vambre, and their trusted, fun, and, often times, ridiculous Magiswords. The show builds on the original 15-second series that launched the previous year on the interactive CN Anything app. Concurrent with the upcoming TV series production, almost 400 pieces of platform-specific original content have been custom developed, including shorts, vlogs, web and mobile games, and interactive narrative content—and all will be enhanced with proprietary technology allowing fans to participate in the world and collect their favorite swords. “Mighty Magiswords has been an incredible journey, starting as a simple interactive digital product and organically developing into a true multi-story world,” said Chief Content Officer, Rob Sorcher. “Expect Magiswords to continue expansion in tech and content, with new ways for the audience to participate, contribute, play, watch and collect.”  Fans can check out the five minute minisode "Pool Fools" on the Cartoon Network YouTube channel and play the slightly addicting Hoversword Hustle game on Cartoon Network's website. Fans can also see the first full preview episode of Mighty Magiswords for free on iTunes and purchase the whole season as it's released. A very special thanks to Kyle Carrozza and Melissa Mills for making this episode possible. Be sure to subscribe to TokuNet Podcast on iTunes and Stitcher. Feel free to rate and review our content! This week, Kyle, Luke, and sometimes Lindsay talk to special guest, Doug “Mr Lawrence” Lawrence! You might know him best as Plankton from Spongebob Squarepants or Filburt from Rocko’s Modern Life, but we know him as the head writer of Mighty Magiswords. The song featured at the end is “Mister Lawrence” by The Nourishment. It’s not about Doug, but it was too perfect not to play. You can get that song for free at http://www.jasonpolland.com/   Please leave us feedback and otherwise interact with us at http://www.facebook.com/kyleandluke!

This week, Kyle and Luke talk about Mighty Magiswords live on stage at FuMPfest 2015, then along with Lindsay Smith Carrozza and voice actress Tia Ballard, they react to Pixar’s Inside Out! Wow, we finally got one in while the movie was still in its opening weekend! Note: There’s one brief uncensored curse from Luke somewhere in the Inside Out section. I don’t have time to find it.   Please leave us feedback and otherwise interact with us at http://www.facebook.com/kyleandluke!

We have quite a mixed bag (but not a "What's in the Bag?") of silly topics this week. You'll learn why Kornflake is totally obsessed with Highlander, how to look insane when you see the new Avengers movie, how to stare creepily at folk singers through a window, and how to be a loser at a freak show. Also discussed: The Nerdist's Chris Hardwick and Matt Mira; the weird old diners of Lowell, Massachusetts; Free Comic Book Day; a festive Freezepop show; the horrors of face-painting booths; one of your two dads, Paul Reiser; steampunk hula-hooping; Rifftrax Live; and our new favorite cartoon, Mighty Magiswords. We also just invented the hammock sidecar, so get ready to be very relaxed and very hospitalized.
