At mange amerikanere så selv tror at 'Danmark er en by i Sverige' (eller hvordan den velkendte fordom lyder) er en anden sag. Do you remember the Norwegian synth-pop band A-ha? They were the band that made the single “Take On Me” in the 80s. Their music video for the single was amazing in the United States in October 1985. The single topped billboard Hot 100. The music video made me love the song. The video was a live action pencil sketch animation sequence. The video won 6 awards and was nominated for two others at the 1986 MTV Video Music Awards.I love the way Morten Harket (the lead singer of the group) animated hand reached out of the comic book for the lady to take his hand who was reading the comic book in a café. She wasn't animated until she took his hand to be in the comic book world with him. I thought it was the coolest music video I had ever seen. It only lasted a few minutes, but it told a big awesome story. The band was in the video too. They were seen playing the keyboard and drums and guitar. The woman had to escape the animated world and leave Morten Harket. When she was back in the café, she found the comic book throwed away, and she took it with her. She took her Harket with her. Take on me. That is the main idea of the story.A-ha has released 11 studio albums to date, and topped the charts internationally after their breakthrough hit Take On Me in 1985. Am 14.September 1982 haben sich a-ha gegründet. Es ist Mortens Harkets 23. Geburtstag. En juin 1985, on découvrait le premier album du groupe norvégien A-ha, avec le tube "Take on me". Chanson écrite et composée au départ par le claviériste et le guitariste du groupe, 2 amis d'enfance, il l'ont écrite à l'âge de 15 ans ! Le groupe A-ha n'existait pas mais les 2 créateurs du morceau avaient enregistré la maquette "Miss Eerie". Le problème c'est qu'ils n'étaient pas chanteurs. Peu de temps après, ils ont rencontré le chanteur Morten Harket avec qui ils ont formé le groupe A-ha. Le morceau a connu une autre étape, sous le titre "Lesson One", puis sous le titre "Take on me". In drei Jahren passiert viel, bis 1985 tatsächlich der Durchbruch mit dem Weltht "Take on me" und einem bahnbrechendem Video gelingt. Das Album "Hunting high and low" zeigt, dass sie nicht nur diese eine Nummer mit Hit-Potential haben.

George Nussbaumer vertrat Österreich beim Eurovision Song Contest 1996 mit "Weil's dr guat got" und erreichte mit den Vorarlbergerisch gesungenen Song in Oslo den 10. Platz. Er erinnert sich an seinen Auftritt, wie der Song wortspielerisch entstand und was er danach machte - auch über sein aktuelles Album "Did Anybody Say It Would Be Easy".Doch zuerst die News.Die Vorbereitungen für 2022 laufen an: San Marino möchte eine große Show geplant: "Una voce per San Marino" soll den Beitrag für den Song Contest in jener italienischen Stadt bringen, deren Namen wir zum Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme der Episode noch nicht wissen. Auch Irland sucht, und zwar im Rahmen der "Late Late Show". Zypern wird im Zusammenarbeit mit Panik-Records erst für 2023 suchen - somit haben wir das erste bestätigte Teilnehmer-Land für 2023. Für Belgien wird Jérémie Makiese antreten, soviel ist bereits bekannt. Und er versucht, seine beiden Leidenschaften unter einen Hut zu bringen, hat er doch gerade erst ein Profi-Fußballer-Karriere beim belgischen Zweitligisten "Excelsior Virton" gestartet.Der kommende ORF-Generaldirektor Roland Weißmann hat seine neuen Fernsehdirektoren präsentiert. Die neue Programmdirektorin ist Stefanie Groiß-Horowitz und sie war Head of Delegation beim Eurovision in Wien 2015, bevor sie zu Puls 4 wechselte und dort Puls24 aufbaute.  Bei Eurovision Again ist für ein paar wenige Wochen der Song Contest 1968 zu sehen. Hat es Cliff Richard diesmal geschafft? Schnell anschauen, bevor es wieder verschwindet. Auf Netflix läuft die Serie "Louis Miguel" über den gleichnamigen mexikanischen Superstar in der dritten Staffel an. Gleich in der ersten Folge dieser Staffel ist Jade Ewen zu sehen, die Mariah Carey verkörpert. Wir erinnern uns: Jade hat mit der Andrew Lloyd-Webber-Ballade "It's My Time" im Jahr 2009 beim Eurovision Song Contest in Moskau einen sensationellen fünften Platz ersungen.Conchita Wurst hat einen neuen Song am Start: "Bodymorphia" ist einer der beiden Songs, der speziell für die Show "Arise" im Berliner Friedrichstadtpalast aufgenommen worden ist.Aber auch sonst gibt es im Herbst Neuerscheinungen: Sarit Hadad, Melovin, Lordi und Il Volo - sie alle haben neues am Start.Ein paar Alben hat unser Gast aus Vorarlberg schon veröffentlicht, das letzte erst im Frühjahr.Angefangen hat die Liebe zur Musik für den 1963 in Dornbirn geborenen George Nussbaumer mit der Liebe zum Radio. Bereits als kleines Kind hat er ein Transistor-Radio geschenkt bekommen und es, wie auch viele andere Radios später auch, zu viel geliebt, so dass es nicht lang überlebte. Im Internat hat er, anfangs nicht ganz mit dem erhofften Erfolg, Klavier gelernt. Aber er hat weiter gemacht und mit 16 hat er das erste Engagement in einer professionellen Blues-Band zu spielen. Auch das brachte nicht ganz den erhofften Erfolg, da er damals nach eigenem Bekunden keine Ahnung von Blues hatte.Mit ersten eigenen Blues-Band gings dann weiter. Eine Talentshow im ORF führte über Umwege zur ersten eigenen Single. Über weitere Umwege traf George Nussbaumer den Wiener Star-Produzenten Mischa Krausz, mit dem eine fruchtbare Zusammenarbeit (auch über amüsante Umwege) schlussendlich zum österreichischen Beitrag für den Song Contest 1996 geführt hat. In diesem Rahmen hat der ORF auch eine kleine Doku über Nussbaumer gesendet."Weil's dr guat got" erreichte einen sehr guten 10. Platz beim Song Contest in Oslo, ein großer Markt allerdings brach weg, denn Deutschland durfte nicht teilnehmen, die ARD strahlte den Song Contest deswegen auch erst spät in ihren Dritten Programmen aus. George erzählt auch, wie er die Stadt erlebt hat und wie er Morten Harket getroffen hat. Der Sänger der Kult-Truppe A-ha war einer der Moderatoren des Song Contests in seiner norwegischen Heimat.Und er erzählt von seinem Gospel-Chor, der unter anderem aus Stella Jones, Bettina Soriat und Cedrik Lee Bradley. Und dem Hoppala während der Show.George erzählt auch von der Position nach Eurovision, eine durchaus schwierige Zeit, wie er heute sagt. Aber auch, dass diese Zeit ein Befreiungsschlag war. Er ist seit dem sehr viel live zu sehen gewesen, hat verschiedene Musik-Projekte (George Nussbaumer & Band, George Nussbaumer & Richard Wester, Trio Nussbaumer Weber Kreil, das Randy Newman Project mit Manfred Maurenbrecher und Richard Wester) am Laufen. Und er hat im Frühjahr eine neue CD mit Eigenkompositionen veröffentlicht, deren Titelsong "Did Anybody Say It Would Be Easy" er den Zuhörerinnen und -hörern besonders ans Herz legt.Ein weiterer Song daraus ist eine Zusammenarbeit mit der legendären Ina Wolf, die in den 70ern als Christina Simon in der jungen österreichischen Musikszene eine kleine, feine Karriere gemacht hat, wenn auch "Heute in Jerusalem", der von André Heller getextete Song Contest Beitrag aus dem Jahr 1979, kein Erfolg war. Sie machte später als Song-Schreiberin eine Weltkarriere, lebt mittlerweile aber wieder in ihrer Vorarlberger Heimat. Mit Ina nahm George das Duett "No One Can Say We Didn't Try" auf, und das legen wir von Merci, Cherie euch ans Herz.George Nussbaumer ist auch die Station Voice für Antenne Vorarlberg, seine Stimme ist die der Jingles und Ansagen des Senders. Außerdem sorgte er dafür, dass die Website der Vorarlberger Nachrichten jetzt auch für Blinde barrierefrei zu hören ist.Natürlich müssen wir auch drei Standard-Fragen an George stellen:Sein Song, der ihm beim Song Contest 2021 besonders gefallen hat, war vielleicht... hmmmmWas er in der Minute vor seinem Auftritt getan hat? Zehn Minuten vor dem Auftritt hat er noch Shrimps gegessen. Und im Moment vor dem Auftritt hat er sich gefragt, mit welcher Taste er anfangen muss.Und sein Lieblingslied vom Song Contest aller Zeiten? Ein österreichisches Lied aus den 70ern: Die Schmetterlinge sangen 1977 in Wembley "Boom Boom Boomerang", die wohl erste satirische Nummer des Song Contests.  In der kleinen Geschichte am Schluss erzählt Alkis von einer Einzigartigkeit beim Song Contest 1996. Und was die langjährige Österreichische Unterrichtsministerin Elisabeth Gehrer damit zu tun hatte.
