Often disguised; but masquerade as truths. They live in the unconscious. Not easily touchable. They work away in the hidden place doing their worst. They are uninvited guests. They have over stayed their invitation; live rent free and are doing damage, which adversely impacts quality of living life. They need to be gone after and expelled.Since you cannot change that which you cannot see - because they live in the unconscious - you have to go hunting for them. Get your hunting gear on. We are going hunting.Remember 'C' first, then 'B' follows in CBT. Your (C)ognitive will always lead to your eventual (B)ehaviour. Don't try to first change the 'B'. Begin with the 'C'. Negative Core Beliefs are a part of the 'C'.You need to find them, recognise them, acknowledge them, highlight them, then get ready to turf them out - as you progress through the Change Process. What are these 'Negative Core Beliefs'? They are an individuals most central ideas and Beliefs about themselves (and can also be about others and the world). They act as a lens through which the person takes their vantage point - through which they view self, life and experiences. They can be all encompassing. Very global. Very rigid Beliefs.Negative Core Beliefs are Harmful Core Beliefs. They lead to Negative Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviours. Examples are: 'I am a failure', 'I am weak', 'I am unloveable', 'No one likes me', 'I don't deserve....', 'People can't be trusted'.They are hard to own and accept that they have been bought into; yet, they have been in residency for years, rent free (would you believe it!)Time to see them out; on their way; good riddance; hasta la vista.Understand that over time, keeping them going is arduous, labour intensive (without knowing it) and leads to an increased desire to self-soothe by 'Acting out'. That is why Negative Core Beliefs are a big deal in the Recovery Process.Get some help from The Kairos Centre. See what you cannot see. Hey Friend- Today we're gonna go deep, so I hope you're here for that…May I start out with a deep question- Are negative core beliefs holding you back from becoming who God has called you to be and doing what He has called you to do? We've talked a lot on the podcast about how our beliefs steer our results (hence the STEER Belief Map you've heard me refer to)...but sometimes our negative beliefs go deeper than that and require the help of a therapist in order for us to truly change things and move forward…and that my friend has a huge affect on your life, health, relationships and business! Now I'm no therapist, but thankfully, I have two good friends who are…Tim & Ruth Olson have been married for 14 years and have very full lives raising and homeschooling their 5 amazing children as well as running their business. They are followers of Christ and strive to honor Him in all they do. As licensed marriage and family therapists, they have counseled many individuals, marriages, and families over the years, however, they are especially passionate about bringing healing to past trauma that is stifling change and growth and negatively affecting relationships. Together they host “Mr & Mrs Therapy" podcast and recently have launched their coaching program, Coaching with Truth! We're gonna have a deep but impactful conversation today about ESCAPING those negative core beliefs…so let's go deep together…Access my STEER Belief Map inside the REDEEM Her Time CommunityFollow the MR & MRS THERAPY Podcast and join their FB GroupWe pray this blesses, challenges and moves you to action!L.Y.L.A.S. Today, I wanted to give you a very quick practice that will allow you to rewrite a negative belief. I find that not enough people talk about how to do that. We all have negative beliefs. We all have parts, different aspects of ourselves, that are not integrated into our fullness. Different parts may come up for us as we go through our life. They may manifest through negative feelings that we have, or negative thoughts that we have, or the negative happening outside. I find that the process of integration is very intensive but much needed process on a path back to oneness and on your spiritual journey. #negativethoughts #negativeemotions #belief #spirituality To support my work, donate here https://bit.ly/thisismariya_donation - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - BOOKS I PUBLISHED: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 72 Keys to Manifestation https://amzn.to/3nGAFg3 The Rose Codes: Book of Initiations https://amzn.to/3Qt9WTA - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - MY WORKSHOPS: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Healing the Witch Wound: https://bit.ly/healing-the-witch-wound-1 Etheric Wings Activation: https://bit.ly/etheric-wings-activation Speaking and Living Your Truth: https://bit.ly/speaking-and-leaving-your-truth --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thisismariya/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thisismariya/support

There are roots underneath the negative behaviors we see in our kids, reveals Jeff Schadt. Jeff is the founder of The One Rule Home, a guide to parenting that aids in repairing the emotional connection between moms, dads, and their children. After talking with more than 3,000 teens and tweens during his research, Jeff realized that it is often the traditional parenting advice that we are given by other Christian experts that is causing major breakdowns in families. He advises open communication and addresses that 95 percent of the child's brain unconsciously reacts to the world around them. Jeff stresses that negative core beliefs often drive negative behavior. Internal negativity must be addressed, and parents must be willing to listen without judging! Once you start shining the truth light on these negative core beliefs that are based on lies, you can dismantle them and then connect with the person and have more of a heart to heart defenseless conversation, and then have the conversation regress.

It can be used to teach the next generation what to avoid and how to be successful and to warn of errors of the past. It can be leveraged to prevent repeat failures or shared to rouse joy, wonder, and hope. Our ancestors drew pictures on walls to tell a story, elders told bedtime yarns to babes, pen was put to paper in fables that were written to entertain us with embedded morals. Storytelling is interwoven in our human nature to impart wisdom. In this book we analyze the power of storytelling within ourselves to support a journey to wellness. This week, Tracy Pleschourt asks listeners to set aside 10 minutes to identify their negative root beliefs that they have never considered to be untrue, and beliefs that they have identified themselves with. This may take you back 10, 20, or 30 years. Ask yourself, what beliefs have I carried forward throughout my life that I might just be operating from today? For example, Is it true that I am broken just because my parents divorced back in 1981? In what ways is that not true? These are two compelling questions to ask yourself. Tracy warns us that it might be painful, but you're capable of feeling any emotion, including sadness. This includes the fear that you as a human being are capable of fearing feeling those emotions. Give yourself permission to heal. Like what you're hearing? Be sure to check out the full-length episodes; new releases every Tuesday. Resources Website: https://www.self-madeu.com/

The Friday Mental Health Power-Hour with Scotty P and Ev, professional motivational speakers with lived mental health experiences, is a show dedicated to having meaningful conversations around mental health. Unlike many other mental health programs, The Friday Mental Health Power Hour is designed to leave the listener feeling both inspired and empowered to tackle even the largest of mental health challenges! Due to their own journeys with mental health, Scott Prendergast (aka Scotty P) and Evan Transue (aka Ev) feel it is part of their path here on earth to share what they have gone through and learned with as many people as possible. Through their show, they hope to change the societal perspectives around mental health, as well as leave you feeling like you ended the week on a great note! Your Hosts Scotty P Scott J Prendergast is a full-time inspirational speaker and mental health advocate based in Philadelphia, PA. A graduate of Temple University, Scott speaks about the importance of acknowledging mental health in society, and encourages techniques to overcome the everyday mental obstacles that hold us back in life. Scott travels across the country speaking to audiences ranging from high school students, to adults, while sharing his own story of hope and resilience in learning to overcome depression. Scott uses a practical approach of mindful strategies combined with a compassionate touch to help others validate their own feelings, and work towards moving past them. You can find out more about Scott by going to www.scottypinspiration.com. Ev Evan Transue dealt with severe mental health issues from the age of 5 until 18. Due to an unintentional lack of recognition of these problems, Evan did not receive proper treatment until 18 years old. After getting kicked out of school, sent to juvie, and spending his 18th birthday on house arrest, Evan had his “aha” moment that led him to realize he needed to change his path. After finally getting his mental health issues addressed, he knew what he had to do: share his story with others who were suffering so they never had to go through what he did. Now, Evan goes around the country speaking to middle school and high school students, as well as incoming college freshmen. Using his lived experiences, he connects with his audiences to encourage them to speak up about the mental health challenges they may be facing in silence. While Evan is aware that we might not be able to stop mental health issues overall, he does believe we do NOT need to live in a world where young people find themselves in crisis situations. You can find out more about Evan by going to www.evantransue.com.

You have heard me repeatedly rabbit on with this mantra haven't you? What you do not understand, you have no hope of influencing; no hope of changing or even embark upon the change process - (and change is a process from A to Z).Why? Because the stuff you don't understand, lives in the unconscious. It works away below the "Mission Impossible" infra red light and no loud alarm is triggering to bring it to your attention. What you must, must, must, must do, is move the stuff from the unseen; from the un-understood; from the invisible; from the unconscious, into the conscious; therefore above the "Mission Impossible" infra red light, so the alarm is triggered. Why? Because what you can now see; can now better understand; you get a chance now to affect; to influence; to change.Problem! Change is a process. Just because you can see it; you can better understand it,  does not mean you can change it IMMEDIATELY. What you must recognise, however, is that change has begun; because you can now see the problem. No matter who you are or how you feel about yourself, there is always room for improvement when it comes to self-esteem, self-worth and self-value.  When you believe that you are worthy and valuable just as you are - that you don't have to say the right things to do the right things or be the right things to prove your worth - everything changes, especially your relationships!Dr. Christina Hibbert explains:  “Self-esteem is what we think and feel and believe about ourselves. Self-worth is recognizing ‘I am greater than all of those things.' It is a deep knowing that I am of value, that I am loveable, necessary to this life, and of incomprehensible worth.”So why don't we all just feel that way automatically? One of the biggest blocks to self-esteem is "Negative Core Beliefs."  These are the the negative thinking patterns we all have about yourselves, other people and the world.  They come from society, our parents, things that have happened to us and our own brains.  And until we become aware of them, they sabotage us every step of the way.In this podcast, I teach you about negative core beliefs and help you identify some of yours.  I also help you see the ways you are relying on external circumstances (or people) for your self-esteem and how that is working against you.  Finally, I give you tips you can start putting into practice now in order to change your negative self-talk and improve your self-esteem.For more information, check out www.melissamsnow.com or CLICK HERE to schedule a free consult!

Negative core beliefs are not situation specific; they are generic thoughts and phrases that are triggered by certain instances. However, these thoughts will typically be connected to specific situations such as personal and intimate relationships and possibly general interactions with the public and work. For instance, if a person has been treated terribly in a past relationship, they may link their next relationship with thoughts of worthlessness or the fact that people cannot be trusted. These negative core beliefs are self-sustaining in the fact that the person will look for things that support their self-fulfilling prophecies and negative core beliefs. Any information that may prove them wrong is usually ignored and overshadowed by their negative thoughts.   Remember, negative core beliefs are the internal chatter you have with yourself daily. You can identify some themes by recognizing when your anger is triggered. You can do this by remaining mindful when negative core beliefs are activated Become aware of when they appear.

Our beliefs systems are created in childhood as we shape a personality that is based on messages received from parents and surrounding cast. Abuse leaves victims with a core belief system that looks a whole lot like the following: “I am ugly, shameful, and therefore unworthy of love” “I am incompetent” “I am unintelligent” “I am worthless” The list goes on and on. The reason is that every act of abuse has along with it a deep hurtful message internalized by victims that says “you are being treated like this because this is who you are and what you deserve”. This belief system becomes the way a child and later adult sees themselves and eventually others in life and relationships. As you could imagine, it wreaks havoc on interpersonal relationship as it dictates the way a person will treat others and expects to be treated. With narcissistic abuse, perpetrator will look to instill these negative messages in victims to lower their sense of confidence and self worth making them more susceptible to abuse and prolonged use of narcissistic supply. What is your belief system? What negative messages internalized in childhood are dictating how you view life and therefore impacting your decision making?

Healing and Transformation, something most of us have likely heard about in one form or another. Perhaps it's in regards to mending a broken heart, transforming negative mindsets, or a shift in the way we feel about ourselves in everyday life. When we're talking about healing from trauma, it's all of those ideas and more. When you are working through something that has negatively affected your life on a level that perhaps you don't even fully comprehend yet, your core beliefs are shaken and many times completely twisted so much that you don't even remember who you once were. Or, you have very little idea, if any at all, of being any other way than what you've been groomed to believe and accept. Changing those negative core beliefs is an essential part of healing, and if we're being honest, it's vital to our healing. If we don't learn to transform the very way that we see ourselves in all aspects of life; healing becomes exponentially more difficult. Essentially we are fighting to change something that we aren't willing to or don't know how to change, because it's been so ingrained into our minds over years, decades even. My guest on the podcast today, Christy Maxey, talks about the importance of changing negative core beliefs with 3 key components of healing and transformation. Christy Maxey, MC, LPC, is based out of Arizona, and works with clients locally and virtually in the areas of depression, anxiety, relationships, trauma, self-esteem issues, divorce, and PTSD. She has also branched out into personal development coaching, which you can read more about on her website.  Christy utilizes a method she created and developed, called the Maxx Method, which helps manage emotions, identify the inner critic and find ways to change negative core beliefs, solve the wounds that keep you stuck, give yourself permission to dream and learn how to take action now on your own behalf. You can learn more about her Maxx Method by clicking here. During our chat on the podcast, Christy talks further about the essential components of healing: Awareness Acceptance Self-Compassion As you listen to Christy share about these 3 key areas, you'll learn not only the importance of each and why, but ways that you can implement them into your life. After all, it's good to know about something but it's even more important to learn how to do it. In addition to those key components, we also chat about topics including: The 3 areas that we are all driven by in daily life and in healing Why we can get stuck in one or more of those areas More on the negative core beliefs and how to change them How we judge ourselves, and why that makes it uncomfortable to revisit feelings and events of the past How we are all born valuable, but along the way in life we learn to devalue ourselves There's so much more I could tell you, but hey I don't want to spoil the podcast for ya before you even listen to it, so why not click that play button right here in this post, or listen on your favorite podcasting app and learn more about Christy's work in counseling and coaching, and about the importance of changing our negative core beliefs in order to heal. "How you perceive, interrupt, and how you experience reality is unique to you like your thumb print. That neurologically you are an endangered species." - Bonnie Kelly   Today, certified life coach & personal development expert, Bonnie Kelly, tells her story have how she overcame an astonishing amount of hurt and betrayal to become the strong woman, coach, speaker, and author on a mission to help 100 million people end needless suffering.  In just one year, we've listened to so many incredible stories about how powerful the subconscious mind is, and today we have a powerful one that sits atop the collective. One way to Bonnie was able to let go of her past to move on with a new life was by reprogramming negative thoughts to create a new, truthful story and forgiving her past.   Our Subconscious Software   "Feelings are the guards that stand watch over the belief ensuring it will not escape. For many of us, childhood felt more like an episode of Survivor than Leave it to Beaver." - Bonnie Kelly   Our brain is similar to a computer. We have a monitor that connects to the tower to transmit all of the necessary information to function and learn. Inside the computer, we have software that stores and saves all of our memories in the history file. Our software is our subconscious mind which controls all of our thinking and can also create either positive, true thoughts or negative, false thoughts in our mind as far as: Who we think we are How we show up in the world How we fit in the world   Negative Core Beliefs   Throughout life, we collect negative experiences and traumas. Even as children, any unintentional hardship that we experience becomes  part of our negative core beliefs. These experiences are like viruses being installed in our brains. We end up accepting harmful events and remember them in our subconscious. Once these negative thoughts become part of our every day thinking, it's hard to change them. If we don't challenge our negative core beliefs, they become part of who we are and we tell ourselves false ideas such as: We're not lovable. We don't matter. We're not good enough.   Stop The Cycle of Negative Thinking We attract ourselves to feelings or environments that are familiar to us. Because of this, we always we end up in experiences at re-validate any negative thoughts that we have about ourselves. Bonnie experienced a constant cycle of  bad relationships because that was what she was drawn to. Her negative core belief that she is not lovable attracted her to people and situations and confirmed that thought. She's realized that if we don't recognize the continuous cycle of negative thinking, we will continue to believe that our NCB's are true. We have to realize that this is how the brain is working against us.  If we disconnect ourselves from the negative thinking and stop reinforcing a new habit from a previous negative thought for 3 days, we can change ourselves emotionally. New, positive connections can reshape you into a new form of being. Put into daily practice, this can help us get out of long-term depression. However, if we reinforce the negative thoughts again, then we go back to our old way of thinking.   Learning to Forgive and Let Go   "Forgiveness isn't about the other person. It's about us. It's about letting go of the things that have happened because forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself."-Tony Robbins   It takes a tremendous effort to discover the root cause of our subconscious. Once we've discovered it, we need to focus on changing it through techniques on a regular basis. One method that Bonnie suggests is to practice forgiveness and retell your true story.   Not Your Fault, But Your Responsibility  The first stop on the process of healing the negative subconscious mind is to realize that things that have happened to you were not your fault and you were the victim. The words that people have said to you or the actions they have done were not your fault. Therefore these experiences that have created NCB in your mind don't actually have any true meaning that validates the person that you are. The things that have happened to you are not your fault and you became the victim. By giving that story power, your giving away your freedom. Forgiveness takes time and strength, but it will be your gateway of letting go of any wrongdoing that has been done to you. Forgiving others will help you transform you story and rewrite it so that you feel empowered once again and find your true core. Forgiveness is a practice and a choice that you have to do over and over to heal. Unwilling to forgive will consume you and keep you stuck with all of your feelings of anger and resentment towards others and what has happened to you. No one is gong to save you and you have to become your own hero.    About Bonnie Kelly Bonnie Kelly is a certified life coach & personal development expert, located in the Sacramento & Placer county area.
