Today we're diving into a conversation about one of the most important shifts happening in business right now. Did you know the fastest-growing segment of entrepreneurship and business ownership is actually women? And at the forefront of that movement is today's guest, a true powerhouse whose story is as inspiring as it is game-changing. Our guest is Suneera Madhani — a visionary entrepreneur, FinTech innovator, and champion for women in business. Suneera is the trailblazing founder of Worth, a revolutionary platform that uses patent-pending AI technology to help small businesses gain fair access to capital. It's a bold, brilliant idea that's leveling the playing field for entrepreneurs everywhere. But her story didn't start at the top. Before founding Worth, Suneera built Stax Payments from the ground up, transforming a simple idea into a multibillion-dollar company with over $140 million in recurring revenue. Along the way, she made history as one of the first female CEOs to build a unicorn — a rare feat in the male-dominated world of FinTech. Her journey is one of resilience, grit, and relentless ambition. From selling credit card machines out of the trunk of a Volkswagen Beetle to being laughed out of boardrooms, she's faced every challenge head-on and proved the doubters wrong time and again. Today, she's not only a successful entrepreneur but also an angel investor, advisor to more than a dozen boards, and a sought-after speaker who's shared her wisdom on some of the world's biggest stages — from Meta and Harvard Business School to South by Southwest and beyond. In this episode, we'll unpack Suneera's incredible rise, her mission to shatter ceilings for women in business, and the lessons she's learned while bootstrapping billion-dollar ventures, navigating biases in leadership, and balancing the demands of entrepreneurship with family life. It's a masterclass in leadership, resilience, and what it takes to redefine an entire industry — and you're going to want to hear every word.   Episode Highlights: 00:22:00 Who is Suneera Madhani? 02:30:00 Suneera Madhani's Early Entrepreneurial Journey 05:08:00 The Game-Changing Idea and Rejection 08:22:00 Building a Billion-Dollar Company 14:10:00 Key Components of a Billion-Dollar Business 18:40:00 The Importance of Team and Culture 21:13:00 Building a Winning Team 22:09:00 The Importance of Networking 22:30:00 Hiring Strategies and Challenges 25:41:00 Reflecting on the Journey 31:39:00 Challenges for Women Entrepreneurs 38:50:00 Conclusion and Final Thoughts   Contact Info: Website: https://suneeramadhani.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/suneeramadhani/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/suneeramadhani/   Subscribe to the Podcast:

Every interior designer knows the chaos of managing multiple projects simultaneously—design concepts to finalize, orders to place, client emails to answer, and site visits to attend. Without a centralized system, important details slip through the cracks, deadlines are missed, and stress levels rise.A well-structured project tracker gives you a bird's eye view of every project. So at any moment, you know what stage each project is at. No more guessing.I hope you enjoy the episodeBeth xxDownload the FREE template here.Key Components of an Effective TrackerThe best project trackers include just enough information without becoming overwhelming:• Project Overview: Basic project identification including client name and address • Key Dates and Deadlines: Major milestones, builder deadlines, and order timelines • Task Breakdown: Clear responsibilities for each phase of the project • Communication Schedule: When you'll update clients to maintain trust and expectations"A project tracker isn't just a glorified to-do list. It's a system that helps you manage all the moving parts of a project in one place," Beth emphasizes.Choosing the Right ToolWhile many sophisticated project management tools exist, I recommend starting simple:"I actually use a good old Google Sheet or Excel. It's really simple. It's easy to customize. You can have tabs for multiple projects."The most important factor isn't which tool you use, but whether you consistently use it.Making It a HabitFor your project tracker to be effective, I suggest three key habits:• Start each day by reviewing your tracker before checking emails • Update it in real-time as you complete tasks • Schedule a weekly check-in to ensure everything is current"I can guarantee there is no better feeling than at the end of your work week... you make sure your project tracker is up to date and you can see exactly where you are on all your projects."This episode is essential for interior designers who want to reduce stress, improve efficiency, and ensure no important details fall through the cracks in their design projects. I'm so excited to share this special short episode recap with a powerful message. I'm publishing this curation to help you make the most of your time. The episode features segments from the episode 089 all about the pursuit of happiness. https://richie.libsyn.com/happiness-is-here-not-there-and-what-to-do-about-it ====== Richie Norton teaches what he calls the staying power of meaning to memory. Happiness is in the moment — what's left is memory. Assign happy meaning to your memories to add long-term fulfillment to your life. Ask yourself: Is this what I'm after? Is this the success I am seeking? Is this how happiness is found? Happiness can be experienced regardless of achievement.    Likewise, happiness can be absent despite great achievement. Happiness almost feels like a surprise that comes and goes sometimes — like a random birthday balloon that suddenly pops, sadly. Build the kind of life you admire in three ways: Happiness in meaning. Detachment from negative influence. Fortitude in long-term satisfaction. Meaning, positive influence and satisfaction are distinct concepts that can help you create happy experiences wherever you are — instead of escape. …because wherever you go, there you are.   Discover The BAM Happiness Model - The 3 Key Components to Happiness Are Being, Art and Mind (BAM). This model of happiness looks at happiness through the lens of your physical circumstance (being), how you “play the game” — the design, creativity and approach you bring to problem solving (art) and your thoughts (mind).   Read more on Happiness is Here, Not There:  https://medium.com/@richienorton/happiness-is-here-not-there-66d3832ef428   Go here to create your own "on-mission" experience in life, leadership, coaching, entrepreneurship and small business: www.richienorton.com/76daychallenge   Want to continue the conversation? The SuperHuman Protocol is revolutionizing how individuals across the nation approach health and wellness, demonstrating profound transformative potential. This comprehensive approach focuses on enhancing the body's innate abilities to heal, recover, and ultimately thrive. The protocol aims to accelerate healing processes and optimize overall health by harnessing cutting-edge therapies.   One of the critical components of this protocol is improved nutrient exchange, which is vital for repairing injured cells. When injuries occur, these cells need to receive a fresh supply of nutrients and oxygen to initiate the rebuilding process effectively. Research has shown that Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy plays a significant role. Studies indicate that this therapy promotes bone healing, supports tissue regeneration, and aids in the recovery from various muscle injuries.   In addition to PEMF Therapy, the protocol incorporates Red and Near Infrared Light Therapy. This innovative therapy significantly impacts cellular repair and regeneration by stimulating the mitochondria—often called the cell's powerhouse. Increased mitochondrial activity boosts the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is crucial for energy transfer within our cells and aids in the healing process.   However, the benefits of the SuperHuman Protocol extend even further!    To learn more about how these proven therapies, plus exercise with oxygen therapy (EWOT), can assist you on your journey to improved health and vitality, listen to this informative podcast now and discover the potential changes waiting for you!

In this episode of the Building Better Developers podcast, the hosts delve into the critical role of effective user stories in software development. The discussion highlights how these stories serve as a powerful tool for conveying system requirements and improving both development and testing processes. What Are Effective User Stories? The podcast starts by addressing a common confusion: while many developers are familiar with the term “user story,” defining what constitutes an effective user story can be challenging. Effective user stories are concise narratives describing how a feature or function should behave from a user's perspective. They are designed to simplify the communication of system requirements, making it easier for development teams to understand and implement them compared to traditional flowcharts. An effective user story is not about getting the “correct” format but about clarity and usability. Unlike flowcharts that detail processes through steps and decisions, these stories provide a comprehensive narrative that covers the journey from start to finish, including both the ideal path and potential exceptions. Key Components of Effective User Stories To create effective user stories, several key elements must be included: • Title: A clear and descriptive title helps readers quickly identify the story's purpose. For example, the “User Login Process” concisely overviews the story's focus. • Actors: It is crucial to identify the user or system interacting with the feature. This could be a human user or an automated process. Understanding the story's actor helps define the context and requirements. • Steps: Outline the flow from the starting point to the end goal, detailing the sequence of actions. For instance, a user login story includes entering credentials and receiving access. • Assumptions and Conditions: Specify any assumptions or prerequisites. For example, before a user can log in, the assumption might be that they have already registered and have valid credentials. These components ensure that user stories provide a clear and actionable framework for development and testing. Common Pitfalls with User Stories One common mistake is the belief that user stories always require a physical user. However, even backend systems or automated processes can benefit from this approach. The “actor” in these cases could be a system or service rather than a person. Another issue is the tendency to overcomplicate stories. It's more productive to start with more straightforward user stories and refine them over time rather than trying to cover every possible scenario from the beginning. This approach ensures that essential functionalities are addressed first, while additional details can be added later. Examples of User Stories in Action To illustrate, the podcast provides examples of user stories for a login feature: Story 1: A valid user logs in with correct credentials and gains access. Story 2: An unregistered user attempts to log in and is denied access. Story 3: A registered user enters the wrong password and receives an error message. These examples demonstrate how user stories can cover different scenarios and ensure comprehensive feature testing. Testing with User Stories From a testing perspective, user stories are invaluable. They facilitate black-box testing, focusing on inputs and outputs without delving into the system's internal workings. This method helps verify that the system behaves as expected across various scenarios. Additionally, these stories help identify potential issues or edge cases that might be overlooked during development. By considering different user paths and outcomes, teams can ensure that all possible scenarios are tested thoroughly. Refining User Stories The podcast also emphasizes the importance of refining user stories. Avoid the “choose your own adventure” problem, where a single story covers too many paths. Instead, break complex stories into smaller, manageable ones. This ensures that each scenario is addressed individually and clearly. Final Thoughts The podcast's discussion underscores the value of mastering user stories in software development. By focusing on clarity, simplicity, and comprehensive coverage, these narratives help teams build better software and conduct thorough testing. Whether you're a developer or a tester, understanding and implementing effective user stories is essential for achieving project success and ensuring all requirements are met. In Todays episode, I dive deep into one of the most critical aspects of scaling a successful business: the power of frameworks and predictability. Over the past decade, I've learned firsthand that while entrepreneurs thrive on freedom and creativity, most of the people we hire crave clear systems and processes. I share how I've scaled my companies to over 110 staff members and the mistakes I made by not implementing structured frameworks early on. I wrongly assumed that managers would naturally develop efficient systems within their departments, but I discovered that without clear guidance from the top, things can quickly become chaotic, especially in the dynamic entrepreneurial world.I discuss how essential it is to establish robust frameworks in your business from the ground up, focusing on areas that will be critical for years to come, such as social media, recruiting, and sales funnels. By creating detailed SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and training materials, you can significantly reduce errors, streamline operations, and make delegation much easier. I emphasize the importance of starting with a flowchart to visualize the entire process, then breaking it down into core deliverables, and finally creating comprehensive SOPs for each step. This approach not only simplifies your business but also prepares it for scalable growth, ensuring that your team is equipped to operate efficiently and effectively from day one.CHAPTER TITLES 00:45 - The Importance of Frameworks in Business02:15 - Overview of the Growth Framework04:00 - Key Components of the Growth Framework06:30 - The Role of Data in Driving Business Growth08:45 - How to Implement a Business Growth Framework11:20 - Real-World Examples of Framework Application14:10 - Measuring Success: KPIs and Metrics16:00 - Adapting Frameworks to Different Industries17:50 - Case Study: A Look at a Growing Business19:10 - Case Study: Successful Implementation of a Marketing Framework21:45 - Common Challenges in Maintaining Business Frameworks23:30 - The Role of Leadership in Framework Adoption25:05 - The Future of Frameworks in Business GrowthConnect with Rudy Mawer:LinkedInInstagramFacebookTwitter

She uses a five-day challenge as the entry point into her sales funnel. This challenge introduces participants to the concept of meal prep and its benefits for weight loss. Actionable Steps: Create a Free Challenge: Design a short, free challenge that addresses a specific problem your audience faces. For example, a five-day meal prep challenge for busy moms. Promote the Challenge: Use social media, email marketing, and your blog to promote the challenge and attract participants. Engage Participants: Provide valuable content and support throughout the challenge to keep participants engaged. Strategic Email Writing Tammy highlights the importance of crafting strategic emails that guide your audience through the sales funnel. She starts by mapping out the customer journey and considering what her audience needs to hear to take the next step. Actionable Steps: Map Out the Customer Journey: Use pen and paper to outline the steps your audience will take from initial engagement to purchase. Craft Engaging Emails: Write emails that are caring and supportive, focusing on leading your audience rather than pushing for sales. Incorporate Testimonials and Videos: Use testimonials and video content to enhance engagement and build trust. Review Email Statistics: Regularly review your email statistics to refine your strategy and improve performance. Frontloading Sales Funnel Work Creating email sequences requires upfront effort, but once the majority of the work is done, the system becomes automated. This allows you to focus on driving traffic into your funnel and monitoring audience reactions. Actionable Steps: Create Email Sequences: Develop a series of emails that guide your audience through the sales funnel. Automate the Process: Use email marketing tools to automate the delivery of your email sequences. Monitor and Adjust: Continuously monitor audience reactions and make necessary adjustments to improve performance. Advice for New Entrepreneurs Tammy offers three key steps for new entrepreneurs looking to create effective sales funnels: Analyze Audience Engagement: Look at email statistics to understand what content resonates with your audience. Identify Specific Pain Points: Dig deeper into the challenges your audience faces and create products that address these pain points. Generate Product Ideas: Use tools like ChatGPT to brainstorm product ideas that solve your audience's problems. Actionable Steps: Review Email Statistics: Analyze your email open rates, click-through rates, and other metrics to identify what content resonates with your audience. Conduct Audience Research: Use surveys, social media polls, and direct feedback to understand your audience's specific pain points. Brainstorm Product Ideas: Use AI tools and brainstorming sessions to generate product ideas that address your audience's needs. Creating an Opt-In An enticing opt-in is crucial for attracting potential customers. Tammy suggests creating a quick guide or a list of meal starters that help busy moms get dinner on the table quickly. Actionable Steps: Identify a Specific Problem: Focus on a specific problem your audience faces and create an opt-in that provides a solution. Create Valuable Content: Develop a quick guide, checklist, or e-book that offers immediate value to your audience. Promote Your Opt-In: Use your blog, social media, and email marketing to promote your opt-in and attract sign-ups. Upselling and Bundling Once the initial product is established, consider upselling or bundling additional products to provide comprehensive solutions to your audience's problems. Actionable Steps: Develop Complementary Products: Create additional products that complement your initial offering, such as workshops, e-books, or meal plans. Create Bundles: Package your products together to offer more value and increase the average order value. Promote Upsells: Use email marketing and sales pages to promote your upsells and bundles. Avoiding Overcomplication Tammy and I stress the importance of simplicity in the product creation process. New entrepreneurs should focus on smaller, manageable products that can be validated through audience feedback. Actionable Steps: Start Small: Begin with smaller products, such as e-books or workshops, that can be created quickly and easily. Validate Your Ideas: Use audience feedback to validate your product ideas before investing time and resources into larger projects. Iterate and Improve: Continuously improve your products based on customer feedback and market trends. Understanding Your Audience Knowing your audience is crucial when selling digital products. Tammy has found success with e-books and bundles, but emphasizes the need to nurture the audience over time. Actionable Steps: Build Relationships: Use email marketing, social media, and content marketing to build relationships with your audience. Provide Value: Continuously provide valuable content that addresses your audience's needs and pain points. Nurture Leads: Use nurturing email sequences to build trust and guide your audience through the sales funnel. Pricing Strategy Tammy discusses her pricing strategy, noting that digital products can be priced effectively to ensure profitability. For example, her ultimate bundle is priced at $89, with sales often bringing it down to $57. Actionable Steps: Research Competitors: Analyze the pricing strategies of your competitors to understand market trends. Test Pricing: Experiment with different pricing strategies to find the optimal price point for your products. Offer Discounts: Use sales and discounts to attract customers and increase conversions. Continuous Learning and Adaptation Building a sales funnel is an ongoing process. Once the initial setup is complete, entrepreneurs can learn from audience interactions and make necessary adjustments. Actionable Steps: Monitor Performance: Continuously monitor the performance of your sales funnel and make data-driven decisions. Learn from Feedback: Use customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments. Stay Updated: Keep up with industry trends and best practices to stay ahead of the competition. Conclusion This episode of the Blogger Genius Podcast provides valuable insights into the world of sales funnels for digital products. By focusing on audience needs, simplifying the product creation process, and continuously learning from customer interactions, entrepreneurs can build effective sales funnels that drive engagement and sales. The discussion centers on the importance of having a detailed, yet flexible, season overview that accommodates various activities, training sessions, and unforeseen changes. The conversation highlights how planning can enhance team performance and engagement throughout the season. Importance of a Detailed Season Plan: The episode begins with an explanation of the necessity for a comprehensive season plan, mapped out in Excel. This plan includes the game schedule, team dinners, weight training sessions, film sessions, and leadership activities. Coach Steve emphasizes that while having a plan is crucial, it should be adaptable to accommodate changes as the season progresses. Key Components of the Season Plan: Game Schedule: The plan includes all games for the season, which helps in backward planning to determine what needs to be installed or focused on at various points. Team Building Activities: Team dinners and other bonding activities are scheduled to build team cohesion and foster a supportive environment. Weight Training: Weight training sessions are incorporated into the schedule, typically conducted by a full-time athletic trainer. The team aims for two sessions per week, avoiding days before games to ensure players are not fatigued. Film Sessions: Film sessions are planned based on the needs of the team. These sessions can vary in length and format, including whole team reviews, small group discussions, or individual player analysis. The flexibility of film sessions allows for adjustments based on the team's schedule and the necessity of other activities. Leadership Development: Leadership underpins the program, with guest speakers from various backgrounds, including teachers, business leaders, and former players, contributing to the team's growth. These sessions aim to provide diverse perspectives and build essential life skills. Adjusting the Plan: Flexibility is a recurring theme in the episode. The coaches discuss the importance of being willing to modify the plan as needed. For instance, practices may be shortened or canceled to allow players to rest and recover, especially during the later stages of the season. This approach helps maintain players' enthusiasm and prevents burnout. Community and Player Involvement: The discussion highlights the benefits of involving the community and listening to players' feedback. By inviting various community members to engage with the team, the program builds a network of support that extends beyond the basketball court. Players are also given a voice in the planning process, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed, which fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility.
