Living a godly life in an ungodly world can be costly. Scripture makes it clear that believers should not be surprised when obedience to Christ brings rejection, ridicule, or resistance. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef points to Paul's warning in 2 Timothy and Jesus' words in John 15: those who belong to Christ will sometimes face opposition precisely because they no longer belong to the world. When Christians pursue purity, righteousness, and integrity, a culture walking in darkness may resent the light their lives represent. But God does not call His people to stand alone. The Holy Spirit gives believers power to withstand the pressures around them, while God's Word exposes lies and trains us in righteousness. Scripture teaches, corrects, rebukes, and equips us to live faithfully in every circumstance. The more deeply we immerse ourselves in God's Word, the more our hearts and minds become aligned with His will. Obedience becomes clearer. Discernment grows stronger. And standing for Truth becomes less about resisting the world through sheer willpower and more about walking closely with Christ. When pressure comes, stay rooted in Scripture and dependent on the Holy Spirit. God has given you everything you need to stand firm, walk in the light, and remain faithful to Him. Prayer: God, thank You for Your Spirit within me to guide me to respond to worldly thinking with Biblical wisdom. Thank You for Your Word that exposes the lies around me. Help me to stay in Your Word so that my heart and mind will be aligned with Yours. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. Genesis 40:13-23 | What Made YOU Wait… Is Setting Up Something GREATERYOU thought the wait was over — and then it got longer. That is the part that almost broke YOU. It is one thing to wait. It is another thing entirely to think YOUR breakthrough has finally arrived — to see the door crack open, to feel the shift coming — and then watch it slip away and leave YOU exactly where YOU were. Forgotten. Overlooked. Still waiting, after YOU were so sure the waiting was done. And that second stretch of waiting is the one that makes YOU wonder if God forgot about YOU entirely.Genesis 40 ends in exactly that place.Someone had done everything right. He used his gift, helped someone in their moment of need, and did it with excellence and integrity while still stuck in his own hard place. And he made one simple request: when things turn around for you, remember me. It was reasonable. It was deserved. And the person he helped walked straight out into their breakthrough — and completely forgot he existed. The one connection that could have set him free forgot all about him. Here is what most people miss. That forgetting was not a failure of his breakthrough. It was the protection of a much bigger one. Because if he had been remembered right then, he would have gotten a small, quiet exit — a favor, a footnote, freedom through a side door. What the delay was actually doing was holding him in position for a moment that had not arrived yet — a moment so much larger that the early exit would have completely disqualified him from it.The wait was not punishment. It was placement. And there is a specific detail about the timing of what came next — how long the additional wait lasted, and the exact moment his name finally came up again — that reveals something staggering about how God uses delay. He was not forgotten. He was being saved for a door so much bigger than the one that closed that the whole painful wait suddenly made sense in a single moment.Because the thing that made him wait was quietly setting up something greater than the thing he originally asked for. There is a reason God let the first door close. There is a reason the wait got longer right when it should have ended. And once YOU understand what that delay was actually protecting, YOU will stop reading YOUR wait as rejection and start seeing it as preparation for something bigger than what YOU have been asking for.Why did the door close? How long did the wait actually last? And what was the delay setting up that a quick exit would have cost him?Press play — because what made YOU wait is setting up something greater. This message will show YOU why the delay that felt like being forgotten may be the very thing positioning YOU for a door far bigger than the one YOU thought YOU lost.
Missionary Evangelist Robert Breaker talks about "struggles" and how the word is only in the Bible one time. But, also what the synonyms are of that word, and then shows some verses on those in the Bible. Then he asks, will you trust in Jesus to help you through your struggles? He then encourages you to NEVER GIVE UP, but do your best to get through it and live for Jesus.
o achieve the impossible, have a goal that is bigger than you. Giving up is not in the blood. This video is dedicated to one of the greatest mountaineering climbers to ever live, Nirmal "Nimsdai" Purja. "I don't think most people understand the difference between being alive and living the life." - Nirmal PurjaNims Purja was a husband, father, son, brother, friend, special forces veteran, and a leader who inspired millions through his courage, humility and relentless determination. In 2019, he climbed all 14 eight-thousanders – peaks above 8,000 metres or 26,000 feet – in six months and six days with the aid of bottled oxygen (a record that stood for 4 years), and gained international recognition through his Netflix Documentary, Nothing Is Impossible. He continues to hold the record for the fastest ascent of all eight-thousanders without supplementary oxygen at two years and 150 days. He was the first person to reach the summits of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu within 48 hours. In 2021, he and a team of nine other Nepalese climbers completed the first winter ascent of K2. Considered one of the most accomplished climbers of his generation, Purja is widely regarded as a major figure in modern high-altitude mountaineering. Rest in peace Nims, thank you for being an inspiration to millions around the world. We had the great fortune of interviewing Nims in 2025. The Motiversity team is thinking of him and his family. Genesis 37:26-28 | The Place YOU Didn't CHOOSE… May Be Part of the PLANYOU ended up somewhere YOU never would have chosen.A situation YOU did not sign up for. A place YOU were pushed into by someone else's decision, someone else's betrayal, or circumstances that were completely out of YOUR hands. YOU did not want to be here. YOU did not plan for this. And a part of YOU has been treating this whole season as a detour — a mistake to survive and escape from — never once considering that the place YOU did not choose might be the exact place YOU were meant to be.Genesis 37 begins with someone taken to a place he never chose. He did not go willingly. He was handed over, sold, carried off to a foreign place by people who were supposed to protect him — for a price, like he was nothing. Everything familiar was stripped away. Everything he had been promised seemed impossible now. By every measure, being taken to that place was the end of his story. It looked like betrayal had won and his dreams were finished. But something went with him that changed everything. Here is what most people miss. In the place he did not choose — the place that looked like punishment, like the ruin of everything — something began to happen that never could have happened anywhere else. He did not just survive there. He began to rise. Favor found him. Everything he touched started to prosper. The very place that was meant to bury him became the place he was quietly being positioned and prepared for something far bigger than the life he lost. The place he did not choose was the place God had chosen for him.And it was not only for him. What happened in that place spilled over onto everyone around him — even the household of the man who owned him was blessed because of the one who had been dragged there against his will. The forced place became a place of overflow. There is something in this passage about what follows YOU into the place YOU did not choose — a presence that does not stay behind when YOUR circumstances change — that will completely shift how YOU see the situation YOU have been begging God to get YOU out of. Because YOU may have been so focused on escaping it that YOU never noticed what God was doing inside it.What went with him? What started happening in the place he never chose? And what if the thing YOU are trying to escape is the exact place YOU are being positioned for?Press play — because the place YOU didn't choose may be part of the plan. This message will show YOU what God does in the seasons YOU never wanted, and why the place that looks like a detour may be YOUR exact assignment.

STORY of AMERICA
Acts 20:7-12 | You Never SAW… What God KEPT From YOUSome of the worst things that never happened to YOU were blocked by a hand YOU could not see. That is the part almost no one thinks about. YOU can name the battles YOU fought. YOU can point to the storms YOU survived. But there is an entire category of disaster YOU will never be able to list — because it never touched YOU. It was stopped before it reached YOU. And YOU went on with YOUR life never knowing how close it came, because God blocked it so completely that YOU never even saw it.Acts 20 is the story of one of those moments.A group had gathered for something sacred, late into the night, in a crowded upper room. And in the middle of it, something went horribly wrong — a sudden accident, the kind that turns a holy moment into a tragedy in an instant. On the surface, it looked like the worst thing that could have happened. But underneath it was something far bigger than the accident itself — a disaster that could have destroyed far more than one life. Here is what most people miss. That moment could have become a catastrophe that ended everything. There were people already watching, already suspicious, already looking for a reason to shut the whole movement down. A tragedy like this, in a gathering like that, could have handed them exactly what they were waiting for. The scandal. The blame. The questions. The end of a ministry that was already under constant scrutiny. What looked like one accident was actually a loaded weapon aimed at everything God was building. And then God blocked it.What one person did in response — and what happened to the one everyone thought was gone — completely erased the disaster before it could ever form. The catastrophe that should have followed simply never came. The scandal that was seconds away never happened. And instead of the end of everything, the night turned into relief, celebration, and a testimony that is still being read two thousand years later. Here is what that means for YOU. There is a promise in Scripture that God will keep YOUR foot from being caught in a trap — traps YOU never even see, disasters that were set for YOU that YOU will never know about, because He stopped them before they closed. YOU have been protected from things YOU cannot name. YOU have been spared from traps YOU never saw coming. What was the disaster that almost formed? What did God do to block it? And how many times has He done the same for YOU without YOU ever knowing?Press play — because YOU never saw what God kept from YOU. This message will open YOUR eyes to the unseen protection that has been over YOUR life the whole time — and why YOU are still standing because of things God blocked that YOU never even knew about.

Acts 8:1-8 | The PRESSURE YOU Hate… Is Moving YOU FORWARDThe pressure YOU are under right now is not trying to break YOU. It is trying to move YOU.But it does not feel that way. It feels like an attack. It feels like the worst possible timing. It feels like something is trying to push YOU out of the place YOU worked so hard to build, away from the comfort YOU finally found, into a season YOU never would have chosen. And everything in YOU is resisting it, praying for it to stop, asking God why He is allowing something this hard.Acts 8 is about a moment exactly like that.Something devastating hit a group of people all at once — a wave of pressure so intense it scattered them, drove them out of the place they called home, and forced them into unfamiliar territory they never planned to go to. By every measure, it was the worst thing that could have happened. It looked like the end of everything they had built. It was the beginning of everything they were made for. Here is what most people miss. The very pressure that scattered them is the exact thing that spread them — into places they never would have gone on their own, carrying something the whole world needed but would never have received if everyone had stayed comfortable where they were. What looked like destruction was distribution. The push they hated was the push that positioned them. And one of the ones who got scattered walked into a city he had no plans to visit — and what happened when he got there is almost hard to believe. An entire city that was in darkness suddenly filled with joy. Things that had tormented people for years were broken. People who had suffered were made whole. Revival broke out in a place that would have never been reached — and none of it would have happened if the pressure had not pushed him out of where he was comfortable. That is the part YOU have to see for yourself. Because the pressure moving YOU right now may be aimed at a purpose YOU cannot see yet — a place, a person, an assignment on the other side of the very thing YOU keep asking God to remove. What was the pressure? Where did it push them? And what broke open when they got there?Press play — because the pressure YOU hate is moving YOU forward. This message will show YOU why what feels like being pushed out may actually be YOU being pushed into purpose.

In this special episode of Primetime Gamechangers, we sit down with Omaha Baseball Village Director Jenny Peters to hear the incredible story behind a miracle that brought a young boy and a baseball team together. Jenny shares how her son Charlie's battle with childhood cancer led to an unexpected relationship with the South Carolina baseball team, how his “Never Give Up” artwork became a source of motivation for the players, and how his presence in the dugout became part of an unforgettable back-to-back championship journey. Now cancer-free, grown, and recently married, Charlie's story is a powerful reminder that hope, prayer, perseverance, and genuine connection can make an impact far beyond what we may ever see. We also explore the vision, risk, teamwork, and heart behind creating the Omaha Baseball Village, the power sports have to unite communities, and why changing the game can begin with something as simple as a smile, a kind word, or taking time to hear someone's story. Whether you're facing adversity, pursuing a vision, or wondering how you can make a difference, this conversation will encourage you to never give up, remain grateful through every season, and use your influence to bring hope to the people around you because you never know how one act of kindness today could change someone's life for generations to come.
Have you ever wondered how some people find the strength to keep going when life keeps knocking them down? In this conversation, I sit down with bestselling author and creator of the global phenomenon The Miracle Morning, Hal Elrod, to explore what it really means to heal, persevere, and choose hope in the face of overwhelming adversity. Millions know Hal for transforming their mornings — but fewer know the extraordinary journey that led him there. From a car accident that left him clinically dead for six minutes and being told he'd never walk again, to a rare cancer diagnosis with only a 20-30% survival rate, Hal has been forced to confront life's darkest moments over and over, and has found his way back every single time. What struck me most wasn't just his resilience — it was his perspective. We get into the five-minute rule, the difference between optimism and delusion, why he believes resistance — not circumstance — is the real source of emotional pain, the true origin of the Miracle Morning and the SAVERS practice, his approach to affirmations and visualization (and why most people get both wrong), the holistic modalities he pursued alongside conventional treatment, and what no one warns you about when medication starts changing who you are. If you've ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or needed a reminder that difficult seasons don't last forever — this one's for you. He is a devoted father. A respected community leader. A man of unbreakable faith and principle. Now the truth is breaking through. Genesis 32:24-31 | YOUR BREAKING POINT — What YOU Fear Most… Isn't Your Greatest BattleThe thing YOU are most afraid of is not the real battle. It feels like it is. It has YOUR attention, YOUR sleepless nights, YOUR knot in the stomach every time YOU think about tomorrow. YOU have been bracing for it, preparing for it, praying about it — convinced that if YOU can just survive that one thing, YOU will finally be okay. But Genesis 32 reveals something almost no one sees coming: the battle YOU are staring at is not the one that is actually about to change YOU.Because on the night before the thing he feared most, this man ended up completely alone.Everyone he loved had been sent ahead. The noise was gone. The distractions were gone. And in that silence — in the dark, with no one left to perform for and nothing left to hide behind — something happened that had nothing to do with the enemy he had been dreading for twenty years.Someone met him there. And what took place between them lasted all night — a struggle so intense, so personal, so unlike anything he expected, that by the time the sun came up, he was not the same person who had walked into that night. Not because he lost. Because of what it cost him to win. Here is what most people miss. There was a single moment in that struggle — one touch — that changed everything in an instant. It did not end the fight. It marked him. And he walked away from that night carrying something in his body for the rest of his life that told the story of what happened when no one was watching. What was touched, and why, is the heart of this entire message. And there is more. Before it was over, he said something — a demand, a refusal, a decision not to let go — that most people are too proud, too tired, or too afraid to ever say. And the moment he said it, he was given something he had spent his entire life chasing the wrong way.A new name. A new identity. A permanent change. But the reason it happened — the thing that had to break in him first before any of it could — is the part YOU have to hear for yourself. Because YOUR breaking point may not be YOUR ending. It may be the exact place YOU have been trying to avoid, when it was always the place YOU were meant to be changed.Press play — because what YOU fear most is not YOUR greatest battle. This message will show YOU what the real one is, and what is waiting for YOU on the other side of the night YOU thought would break YOU.Thank you for joining me today. Thriving Adoptees - Inspiration For Adoptive Parents & Adoptees
Would you like to bounce back faster from setbacks in your life? What if resilience is seen not strengthened? Revealed in a moment not built over years? Instantaneous? Listen in as adoptee Roof shares what he's seen about resilience, mindset and more. His insights could catalyse yours. Here's a bit about Roof from his website "I didn't learn about resilience, openness, and foundation from a workshop. I learned it growing up. My parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gentle, were two selfless human beings who offered over 40 children shelter a home where young children could be cared for when their biological parents couldn't. They opened their arms to a panoply of cultures, even when people disagreed with their decision to foster and care for other children on top of raising their own six biological kids. I am one of four children they adopted, totaling ten. My adoptive father, Mr. Gentle, passed away in 2020 during COVID—a day I'll never forget. The last thing I remember him saying was to " You've got it Big Guy!,Never Give Up." My parents taught me patience, presence, and what unconditional love actually looks like. I grew up with a brother navigating mental health challenges and a sister with Down syndrome who showed me that strength doesn't always look the way people expect and that support means meeting people where they are, not where you think they should be. I grew up in a blended family with white siblings, biological family, and all the complexity that comes with navigating multiple identities and cultures under one roof. I learned early that wholeness requires access to all parts of who you are, not just the parts that are convenient or comfortable for others." https://www.iamroof.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/roof-sweatte-194a13153/ https://www.facebook.com/Roof.sweatte/ Guests and the host are not (unless mentioned) licensed pscyho-therapists and speak from their own opinion only. Part 15 of The Lost Princess — a heart-share journey through Rebbe Nachman's tale of Aveidas Bas Melech, learned not as a fairy tale but as a mirror of our own search to come home to ourselves. For Rebbe Nachman, the whole avodah is the ratzon — the yearning. Not what you manage to achieve, but what you allow yourself to long for. The wanting itself is precious. And the deepest tragedy isn't failing — it's giving up on your wants, letting the will go quiet until you no longer want what you once wanted. In this shiur we walk the tale word by word — the king and his lost daughter, the father's pain, the viceroy who rises and says "Eilech V'anaseh — let me go and try," the path off to the side, the castle of lo tov where the princess is hidden in plain sight. And then we bring it home: the lost princess is your own self, and the way back is not to conquer the forest but to never stop yearning for her. A few minutes a day of hisbodedus — "Who am I? What am I feeling right now? What is my lost princess trying to tell me?" — and to let yourself long for her again. To want what you once wanted, and refuse to give up on your wants. To bind yourself to the tzaddik, to Rebbe Nachman, to Tikkun Haklali — the one who lifts a person out of shmad, where the will is crushed and disguised, and into ratzon, true and living desire, clearing away the self-doubt that keeps us from wanting to come close. A preparation for the summer, for Rosh Hashanah, and im yirtzeh Hashem, for Uman — together. Eilech V'anaseh — "Let me go and try." A chabura founded by Gavriel Hass and facilitated by Nachman Fried, using the story of the Lost Princess as a workshop for honest self-reflection and inner growth. Not a group of people who have it figured out — a group of people who decided to try. Together. #RebbeNachman #Breslov #LostPrincess #Yearning #Ratzon #LikuteyMoharan #Hisbodedus #TikkunHaklali #Teshuvah #Emunah #Uman #Chassidus #TorahShiur #EilechVanaseh #JewishWisdom

Shame is a powerful and damaging emotion. It can make us hide who we are, what we believe, or the message God has entrusted to us. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef explains that shame is closely connected to fear—especially the fear of what others think. Paul warned Timothy not to be ashamed of the testimony about the Lord or of those who suffer for Him. That warning is just as urgent today. Many Christians have allowed the world to shame them into silence, hiding the Gospel, softening Biblical morality, or retreating from God's standards. But Paul's command is clear: do not be ashamed; instead, join in suffering for the Gospel by the power of God. Dr. Youssef points believers to the ultimate reason we can stand firm: Jesus has conquered death. Through His cross and resurrection, Christ has not only defeated death for His people—He has broken the fear of death itself. Because of Him, we can give ourselves fully to the work of the Lord, knowing our labor is never in vain. If you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed. Praise God that you bear the name of Christ, and stand firm in the victory He has already secured. Prayer: Father, may I never be ashamed of the Gospel. May I remember that I am Yours even in death. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile” (Romans 1:16). Anthony Bender: So close to quitting baseball but no and The Marlins are reaping the benefits.
Hello Everyone!, Today we talk about what makes us actually want to give up. It happens to all of us, the determination slips, the motivation just isn't what it used to be. We associate those emotions with how much we may actually want something when in fact, it could be how you are spending time. This can look at the pockets of time in the day that are actually wasting your time, and the lack of systems you have in place in your life. We often think, to get good at something or to work hard means the the journey needs to feel hard. While ballet is hard as we know, I don't want the systems in place to feel hard or effortful. I want them to feel easy, so I can keep doing them, keep improving and keep achieving what I have set out to do! This episode will help you achieve all of that! So let's dive in!-------JOIN OUR MAILING LIST! NEW PLATFORM COMING :-)https://mailchi.mp/balletwithisabella/isabella-platform-sign-up
Charles Spurgeon once told the story of a ship captain whose wife panicked during a violent storm. When the captain pointed a sword toward her chest, she laughed—because she trusted the hand that held it. His reply revealed the heart of faith: “Neither am I afraid of a storm in the hand of my heavenly Father.” In this episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef points believers to the security found in God's sovereign care. Fear is real—even the apostle Paul admitted to “fears within” while facing conflict, hardship, and rejection. Yet Paul also knew the comfort of God, who strengthens the downcast and often refreshes His people through His Word, His presence, and the encouragement of faithful friends. When fear rises, the answer is not denial or panic—it is trust. God has not given His children a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. His love brings hope to the heart, His presence steadies the soul, and His salvation becomes the rock beneath our feet. No matter how fierce the storm, the believer can rest in this Truth: the storm is never outside the hand of the Father. Prayer: Lord Jesus, I need Your words of encouragement today. The world is pressing in on me, but I know You are in total control. I thank You that Your perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). Help me to comfort others with the comfort I receive from You in this season. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down” (Psalm 145:14).
