Hello Everyone!, Today we talk about what makes us actually want to give up. It happens to all of us, the determination slips, the motivation just isn't what it used to be. We associate those emotions with how much we may actually want something when in fact, it could be how you are spending time. This can look at the pockets of time in the day that are actually wasting your time, and the lack of systems you have in place in your life. We often think, to get good at something or to work hard means the the journey needs to feel hard. While ballet is hard as we know, I don't want the systems in place to feel hard or effortful. I want them to feel easy, so I can keep doing them, keep improving and keep achieving what I have set out to do! This episode will help you achieve all of that! So let's dive in!-------JOIN OUR MAILING LIST! NEW PLATFORM COMING :-)https://mailchi.mp/balletwithisabella/isabella-platform-sign-up
Charles Spurgeon once told the story of a ship captain whose wife panicked during a violent storm. When the captain pointed a sword toward her chest, she laughed—because she trusted the hand that held it. His reply revealed the heart of faith: “Neither am I afraid of a storm in the hand of my heavenly Father.” In this episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef points believers to the security found in God's sovereign care. Fear is real—even the apostle Paul admitted to “fears within” while facing conflict, hardship, and rejection. Yet Paul also knew the comfort of God, who strengthens the downcast and often refreshes His people through His Word, His presence, and the encouragement of faithful friends. When fear rises, the answer is not denial or panic—it is trust. God has not given His children a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. His love brings hope to the heart, His presence steadies the soul, and His salvation becomes the rock beneath our feet. No matter how fierce the storm, the believer can rest in this Truth: the storm is never outside the hand of the Father. Prayer: Lord Jesus, I need Your words of encouragement today. The world is pressing in on me, but I know You are in total control. I thank You that Your perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). Help me to comfort others with the comfort I receive from You in this season. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down” (Psalm 145:14). What if "Never Give Up" is terrible advice?(watch this full interview on YouTube. https://youtu.be/6ROfazVZBco)We've all heard it: Quitters never win. Winners never quit. But what if hanging on too long is actually what's holding you back?In this fascinating conversation, resilience researcher, change strategist and keynote speaker Courtney Clark (https://courtneyclark.com/) shares why adaptability, (NOT POSITIVITY!) is the real secret to thriving in this uncertain world. After surviving cancer four times and discovering a life-threatening brain aneurysm, Courtney learned that resilience isn't about pretending everything is fine. It's about knowing when to persevere, when to change direction, and how to create a new path forward. In this episode: Why adaptability beats positivity The surprising downside of grit When "never give up" becomes bad advice How to know when it's time to change course Why successful people quit more often than you might think The difference between goals and plans How to stop chasing someone else's definition of success Why every "yes" is a "no" to something else (this was my favorite part!)If you've ever felt stuck, burned out, overcommitted, or afraid to change direction, this episode might be exactly what you need.Because sometimes the fastest path forward starts with letting go. On today's podcast I chatted with Dawn Russell, the amazing CEO of Ana Liffey. Dawn, a huge music lover is originally from a small farm in Tipperary and her social conscience was awoken through her mothers work at St.Lukes, a psychiatric hospital in Tipperary, and meeting a character in Clonmel called Martin who she says always looked out for her. Her eyes were opened when she came to Dublin to pursue a career in counselling and discovered the harm reduction work that Merchant's Quay was doing in the city. When Dawn joined the front line team at Ana Liffey over 19 years ago, she quickly found herself assisting people at their lowest ebb through addiction, homelessness, mental health or domestic violence issues. Always pushing for change and a desire to make even more impact, she rose to the role of CEO and now oversees the provision of services to 5,000 clients per annum in Dublin, Balbriggan and LImerick. Dawn says you must believe in everyone, even when they have stopped believing in themselves - never give up and never judge Enjoy the show Podcast Production by Greg Canty Greg's blog Greg on Twitter Greg on LinkedIn Email Greg with feedback or suggested guests: greg@fuzion.ie

George Bernard Shaw captured the ache of abandonment through Joan of Arc's cry: “It is better to be alone with God!” In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef turns to a more personal kind of loneliness—the sorrow that comes when people you love or labor with lose courage, drift away, or choose another road. The apostle Paul knew this pain. Near the end of his life, he wrote with grief about a former ministry companion: “Demas, because he loved this world, has deserted me” (2 Timothy 4:10). That single sentence carries the weight of countless modern situations: a child walking away from the Lord, a spouse resisting God, a friend turning cold, a trusted partner stepping back when you needed them most. Dr. Youssef reminds you that ministry and faithful living often bring “deeper depths of sorrow and higher heights of joy”—sometimes at the same time. The question is: what will you do with the rejection? Paul did not quit. He did not lose faith. He trusted God, leaned on His strength, and continued the work the Lord had given him. If you're carrying the heartbreak of a “Demas” in your life, this devotional will help you persevere—remaining faithful regardless of personal disappointment, and discovering that God's presence is steady even when people are not. Prayer: Lord, thank You that You will never leave me nor forsake me. May I draw near to You in sorrow and find new heights of joy. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. The guest joining me today is someone whose voice you may have already heard, as Deb DeVries is an award-winning voice actor and narrator based right here in my neck of the woods in the San Francisco Bay Area. Deb's narration has earned recognition from the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences, Gravy for the Brain's One Voice Awards, and most recently, four Communicator Awards at the 32nd Annual Communicator Awards, including an Award of Excellence for her narration of Welcome to George Washington's Mount Vernon. What I love about Deb's story, as with several of my previous guest's, is that she came to the mic with an eclectic background of experience. You see, before the microphone, there was a stage. Before the studio, there was a classroom. Before narration, there were boardrooms at AT&T, AMPEX, and DHL, where she built sales training programs from the ground up, sometimes as the very first person, let alone, woman, to ever hold such a position. Which makes her a perfect representative in the Building Doors VO campaign which advocates for women having equal opportunities in the voice-over industry. Can't say whether or not she'll use her black belt in Tae Kwon kick down, in addition to building those doors, but it may just come in handy! Before we dive in, I also want to say something to our listeners. Deb spent years as a corporate trainer and training manager, and in one of her courses she taught a principle that completely resonates with me: when it comes to completing any project, you have three resources to work with. People, money, and time. You can work harder to earn more money. You can bring in more people to get something done faster. But no one has ever figured out how to make a 25-hour day or an 8-day work week. Time is the one resource none of us can manufacture more of. So if you are spending yours listening to this episode, Deb and I hope to make it worthwhile. We also believe laughter is good for the soul. So we are going to try to lighten your load a little today too. Send us Fan MailSarah welcomes Sibel Osman back to The Beyond Condition Podcast. For this special episode, here are some words from Sibel herself; Our beautiful sport is one that both myself and Matthew Ali grew up in and have always known it to be inclusive, in fact one of the most endearing aspects of our sport is the fact that it is so inclusive, be it age or disability. Upholding the values and the ethos of bodybuilding is something that both myself and Matt have worked very hard to pioneer wherever and whenever we can. It is all too easy to get lost in the ‘mainstream' and follow trends and crowds of the ‘new generation' and forget the cornerstones of what made this sport great and celebrate ALL athletes from all walks of life that endure every day to live and breathe it.We as able-bodied athletes often take for granted the privilege and blessings we have, being able to get up with ease and carry out our everyday tasks as an athlete and yet some still find something to complain about.Unless you are either directly affected, know or have a loved one that is disabled/disabled athlete, it is easy to overlook how easy able-bodied athletes have it. The real superheroes of our sport are our disabled brothers and sisters who get up every day in the face of great adversity, go to the gym and function, perform, prep, bulk and work like true soldiers to achieve what can only be described as remarkable, and create physiques that are frankly mind blowing. The fact that we have disability categories in our sport is incredible and I commend and thank EVERY federation that is inclusive enough to have a disability category. This proves just how wonderful our sport is, however, we (myself and Matt) want to take this further and build on that. Creating a Disability Pro League, the first of its kind in the world, is something that we believe is a long time coming and nothing short of deserved. These incredible inspiring athletes are in a league of their own and deserve A LEAGUE of their own, a Super Pro league to celebrate their excellence and allow them a platform and an avenue to achieve their greatness and take their athletic prowess as far as they wish to go.We will work extremely hard to create opportunities and rewards for all of these incredible athletes and ensure that they know and feel that this sport belongs to them EQUALLY. If you get up everyday and live the life of a bodybuilder, you train to a targeted plan, eat a specific diet, have a prep coach, check in, go off season, prep, compete…..the list goes on….you ARE a bodybuilder and should have all the opportunities afforded to you that able bodied athletes have.Bodybuilding is built on values that promote and teach resilience, consistency and to Never Give Up! To build physiques that are way above the norm and visually represent the sheer heart and work that has gone into building a body that is a work of art. Nothing is more demonstrative of these core values than our disabled athletes who are a testament to the work ethic and the fire that champion mindsets and bodies are built from. To be able to work on building this sector of our sport is one of the projects that truly means a lot to us. We must all embrace change as progression in all things is important, provided that the change is progressive and for the greater good. I think we have all had our fill of recent negativity and poor communication within the sport and it is time that something new and good was introduced to give our athletes a new lease of life and love for our sport. We welcome all the support that you can afford us and the incredible athletes as we build this sector in the coming year.Thank you for listening.Find Sibel and the federations mentioned on Instagram: @sopro1000 @acpukofficial @ibfa_ukWatch the episode here: https://youtu.be/nF-wGAPJhugFind Sarah on Instagram: @sarahparker_bbTHE ULTIMATE SHOW DAY GUIDE E-BOOK: Purchase hereBeyond Condition Coaching Application: Click here

Sometimes prayer feels powerful.Sometimes it feels repetitive.Sometimes it feels like nothing is happening at all.So what do we do when prayer feels exhausting… or unanswered… or hard to keep going? We keep praying. In this message from our This Is What We Do series, Pastor Mark shares why perseverance in prayer matters—not because God is distant, but because prayer strengthens us for the fight. Just like athletes train with endurance so they're ready when it matters most, we keep showing up in prayer so our faith grows stronger over time. You'll also be reminded of two powerful truths about God:→ God is Loving — His love for you doesn't change. You can't earn more of it, and you can't lose it.→ God is Just — He sees every hurt, every injustice, every unseen moment, and He will make things right. If you've been discouraged in prayer, this message is for you.At Fierce Church, we're Helping You Walk with Jesus Step-By-Step.Because The Best U is in Community.

Don't give up too soon. You may be closer than you think. When pressure builds and progress feels slow, the easiest option is often to quit. But choosing the easy way out will almost always make things harder in the long run. It's harder to recover. Harder to rebuild. Harder to start again. But if you stay in it… If you continue… If you press forward, you position yourself for the outcome you were believing for all along. The difference isn't talent or luck. It's the decision to never give up.
What does it really take to rebuild a life after prison? In this episode of A Penny or Two for Your Thoughts, hosts Chantel Windeshausen and Liz Malmberg sit down with Ivonne Yvonne Martinez, Financial Sales Manager at Centris' Ames branch in Omaha, and Shane Reilly, Program Director and Development Director of Never Give Up Transitional Living, to talk about recovery, reentry, second chances, and the role financial education can play in helping people move forward. Shane shares his powerful story of addiction, incarceration, recovery, education, and how he built a new path helping other men returning from prison. Ivonne Yvonne explains how Centris partners with Never Give Up to teach credit, savings, secured loans, and financial basics that help participants build confidence and stability. Together, they unpack why trust, accountability, community, and financial tools matter so much in the reentry process. The episode also highlights how Never Give Up Transitional Living supports men through structured recovery, housing, credit building, employment support, and skilled-trades training in Omaha. Never Give Up describes itself as an 84-day structured transitional housing program under the nonprofit Good Turn Labor, supporting formerly incarcerated individuals as they reintegrate into the community.
