Our parade of Best Picture winners continues with Billy Wilder's The Lost Weekend - a harrowing portrayal of alcoholism that also netted a Best Actor Oscar for its star, Ray Milland. We'll hear Mr. Milland, along with his co-stars Jane Wyman and Howard Da Silva, in episodes of Suspense, plus a radio recreation of the film. The Junkies welcome Alex Hyde-White for a super-powered conversation. Alex, who goes by the nickname Punch, and was the first person to play a live-action Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in the never-released but widely-viewed movie The Fantastic Four, completed in 1994. Shauna and Olivia ask Alex about his career, which includes appearances in iconic films like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Pretty Woman, Catch Me if You Can and Nope, and television series like Newhart, Murder She Wrote, Babylon 5, Party of 5, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Shameless, and Landman. Alex also has a cameo in Fantastic Four: First Steps along with his Fantastic Four 1994 co-stars. Alex, who comes from a show business family, discusses playing big parts in small movies and small parts in big movies, how those small parts lead to big parts, the roles he'd still love to play, and his work outside of acting. South African TV and film writers Amy Jephta and Sean Drummond join Dheepthika Laurent on set to talk about their upcoming projects. Sean was head writer on the second season of "Unseen", a wildly popular crime thriller on Netflix. He also talks about his 2017 neo-Western, "Five Fingers for Marseilles", a film that inspired one of the songs on Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" album. Amy wrote the play "A Good House", which has just finished its run in the UK. The biting satire explores post-apartheid legacies in modern-day South Africa. She also wrote the true crime series "Catch Me a Killer", which traces the work of Micki Pistorius, South Africa's first criminal profiler.

Frank Abagnale is one of the most notorious con artists in history and the inspiration behind Steven Spielberg's film Catch Me if You Can, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. He claims that before his 19th birthday, he successfully performed cons worth millions of dollars by posing as a Pan American World Airways pilot, a Georgia doctor, and a Louisiana parish prosecutor. Tom Woschitz und Phil Soddemann finden in einer Bar zusammen und probieren das gemeinsame Musikmachen einfach mal aus. Nach erfolgreicher Debüt-EP vor zwei Jahren, steht nun eine neue an – in Kollaboration mit der französischen Künstlerin Ingrid Laventure. Fuzzy – unscharf. Auf diese Art und Weise wabern die Gitarren von KALK¥L durch den Raum; und die Liebe für diese teilt die Band mit der Straßburger Musikerin Ingrid Laventure. Die drei haben sich auf einem französischen Festival getroffen und angefreundet. Seither haben sie zudem an gemeinsamer Musik gearbeitet und präsentieren nun das Produkt (zumindest einen Teil daraus) im studioeins, bevor Ende des Monats die komplette EP "Only Way to Catch Me" erscheint.
