Clay kicks off this episode with his raw reaction to Super Bowl 60, where the Seattle Seahawks' “Dark Side” defense led a commanding performance in a 29–13 victory over the New England Patriots — a game defined by pressure, turnovers, and a performance that had fans talking defense first. Clay breaks down the halftime show controversy around Bad Bunny's performance, which drew both cultural celebration and sharp criticism from political figures and commentators alike, turning the show into a flashpoint for broader cultural debates. Then we shift from gridiron to global sport — exploring how Olympic athletes are making political statements and dealing with gender issues, including ongoing debates about athlete eligibility and how the International Olympic Committee is handling political expression at the Games. February 9, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 91 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing Super Bowl LX that concluded with the Seattle Seahawks easily beating the New England Patriots. We address how and why the Seahawks are now World Champions and the steps their organization made in the last three seasons in the draft that played a significant role in that. We look at the Patriots moving forward from their Super Bowl LX loss and whether they should look to move T Will Campbell to guard at this point. We also talk about the solid game that CB Christian Gonzalez played on Sunday night. Are there any made takeaways from the 2025 Seahawks that can be applied to the 2026 Pittsburgh Steelers that would provide any hope in the team making any sort of a Super Bowl run in 2026? In addition to attempting to answer that question, Alex and I take a look at the Steelers' initial odds for 2026 being a championship season for them. Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers and DT Cameron Heyward were both somewhat in the news cycle on Sunday. We discuss the national report concerning Rodgers' chances of returning to the Steelers in 2026 increasing and the very cryptic tweet that Heyward posted on Sunday that many seem to think hint about his playing future. Former Steelers WR George Pickens is now expected to be franchise tagged by the Dallas Cowboys this offseason, so Alex and I discuss that news. We also discuss what we each think Pickens' demands and market value should be this coming offseason. Alex recently completed a deep dive post on new Steelers OC Brian Angelichio, so we go over his main takeaways from that study. This 82-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap and we make sure to read and answer a few emails we have received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. A little bit of everything after Super Bowl 60. The crew dives into why policing fandom is ridiculous, how Mike Tirico managed to misread allegiances and irritate half the audience, and the moment the game turned after a shirtless fan sprinted onto the field. Then it gets tactical as Mike Vrabel's late-game decision making comes under the microscope, especially the two-point math that made no sense. Add in a Mack Hollins appreciation segment, gambling talk without the gambling, Drake Maye seeing ghosts, and a larger debate about whether quarterbacks actually decided this Super Bowl at all. A packed segment mixing sports logic, fan culture, and classic Monday morning frustration.
While most fans called it boring, this was a perfect night for anyone who enjoys watching the New England Patriots fall flat on the biggest stage. We break down why Super Bowl 60 was far more entertaining than people want to admit, especially if you are a Jets fan or anyone tired of Patriots success. From Seattle Seahawks controlling the game with defense and the run, to New England Patriots looking overwhelmed offensively, this episode dives into why the outcome felt inevitable early. We talk about Drake Maye struggling under playoff pressure, why the Patriots' easy path finally caught up to them, and how Seattle won without needing a heroic performance from Sam Darnold. Was the game ugly? Absolutely. Was it satisfying? For at least one bitter Jets fan, it was four hours of joy. We also look ahead to what this loss means for the Patriots, why getting close does not guarantee you will ever get back, and whether Seattle can realistically repeat this formula next season.
The conversation spirals from unforgettable Super Bowl halftime shows to the ones nobody remembers, with everything from Dre and Snoop to dancing sharks and post 9/11 U2. The crew debates whether comedy belongs at halftime, why vulgar humor usually lands the hardest, and how easily people get offended during the biggest TV event of the year. Bad Bunny's lyrics spark a surprisingly awkward moment, leading into a larger discussion about shock value, culture, and where the NFL draws the line. The segment wraps with bold, way-too-early predictions for next year's halftime performer, including Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé, Jelly Roll, and a few wild cards, plus classic sports radio detours that only make the debate better.
Evan and Tiki rank their top 5 Super Bowl commercials, debating the merits of humor versus heart—including a heated argument about the Clydesdales versus Ben Stiller's "slapstick" moment. The guys also discuss the "Orchids of Asia" t-shirt worn by Bill Belichick's girlfriend, Jordan Hudson, and whether it crossed a line in trolling Robert Kraft. Plus, a look at the confusing new MLB streaming paywall, a nostalgic trip through 80s movies like Real Genius and Weird Science, and why Tony Gonzalez in a Falcons uniform just felt wrong.
Evan and Tiki debate who the Super Bowl champion Seahawks will host to kick off the 2026 NFL season. With the Rams and 49ers heading to Australia, the guys analyze the remaining options including the Chiefs, Chargers, and Bears and argue whether the John Harbaugh led Giants are ready for the prime-time spotlight. Plus, the crew discusses the lack of cold-weather Super Bowls and Tiki sets his price tag for the Jets to acquire Mac Jones.
Fireworks and celebrations erupted around the city of Seattle after the Seahawks Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots last night. Our Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl Champions once again! The defense was on point from the start of this game as the New England Patriots struggled to move the chains throughout the first half. The defensive line dominated with six sacks and Drake Maye was pressured into two interceptions. Uchenna Nwosu returned one of those two interceptions for a touchdown that looked like it would seal the victory for Seattle. On the offensive side, Kenneth Walker delivered a performance worthy of his Super Bowl MVP honor. He set the tone with a run to the outside to start the game and added in some explosive plays throughout. Jason Meyers was perfect on his kicks and Michael Dickson had some of his best punts of the season to pin the Patriots deep. It was an incredible team performance that capped off a special season for Seattle. Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners. Support the show Get in the Flock! Jacob and the crew tear apart Super Bowl LX from every angle — how the Seattle Seahawks dominated the New England Patriots 29–13, the defensive masterclass that suffocated rookie QB Drake Maye, and how Kenneth Walker III emerged as the game's MVP for the first time by a running back in decades. We break down the key plays, the Patriots' offensive struggles, Jason Myers' record-setting five field goals, and all the big storylines your timeline is talking about today. Then it's onto the NFL MVP controversy — Matthew Stafford beat out Drake Maye by the closest margin in years for the 2025 AP MVP award, and the fallout online and in the league has been wild. We react to why the vote was so tight, what the pundits and fans are saying, and how this award feels totally separate from Super Bowl narratives yet is dominating conversations. Hosts & Guests: Jacob Gramegna is joined by professional sports bettor and CEO of The Hammer, Rob Pizzola, basketball originator Kirk Evans, and sophisticated square Geoff Fienberg for hot takes, hot mic moments, and season-defining reactions you don't want to miss.

Boomer and Jerry clash over whether the Mets are actually improved. Jerry's got a Knicks' statement win in Boston, more Super Bowl soundbites, and his own call of the St. John's upset over UConn. He's also got Joe Benigno's blunt take on the Super Bowl's choice of musical acts.
Boomer kicks it into another gear with his criticisms of the Super Bowl, Bad Bunny, San Francisco and California.
Jerry returns with the sounds of Patriots radio as the Super Bowl was coming to an end. We heard from Sam Darnold and others in the postgame. The Knicks beat the Celtics, 111-89. On Friday night, St. John's beat UCONN and Dan Hurley talked about the free throw discrepancy.
