Smart Agency Masterclass with Jason Swenk: Podcast for Digital Marketing Agencies
I've been paying an agency to run our Meta ads and for some time Meta itself has been reaching out to take over the account. Let that sink in. The same platform your agency relies on is actively trying to cut you out of the picture. The worst part? This is just one example of a much bigger shift. Big tech is building tools that create entire campaigns—copy, design, video, testing—without a human in sight. Your strategist? Replaced. Designer? Replaced. Copywriter? Gone. I get it. It's a hard pill to swallow, but it isn't necessarily the end of agencies. It's just the end of the ones that built their model on tasks. So what's the future for agencies? Agencies Built on Tasks Are Already Obsolete Let's get real: if you're still selling deliverables, your agency's already falling behind. What AI can't replicate is leadership. At the end of the day clients want results and direction. Smart agencies are not selling tasks anymore. They're selling thinking. Here's how they're staying ahead: 1. Productize the Thinking, Not the Task Most agencies sell what they do – SEO, ad management – Clients don't care that you “run Facebook ads.” They want results. Instead of saying “We run ads for local businesses,” say “We help local gyms get 100 leads in 30 days with a proven 3-step system.” You just went from vendor to strategic partner that sell a system that scales. Productizing your thinking means turning your knowledge into a framework. When you package your thinking and your strategy as something like “The 30-Day Lead Domination System” or “The 5-Step Authority Engine” your expertise becomes a product. That's what scales. 2. Sell Speed and Certainty Speed is an agency superpower. Most clients aren't losing to competitors—they're drowning in indecision. They don't need more options—they need momentum. So skip the six-week strategy plan. Instead of saying “We'll optimize your funnel,” offer quick wins: “We'll launch your highest-converting offer by Friday.” Certainty is what closes deals. Clarity is what makes them stick. 3. Own Your Niche Generic is dead. The riches are still in the niches. Solve a very specific problem for a very specific group of people. The more specific your promise, the more profitable your agency will become. 4. Use AI—But Don't Compete With It Don't just talk about AI—implement it. Show your clients how to use AI to streamline workflows, automate leads, and improve reporting. Become the AI Sherpa, not the tool. If you're not guiding your clients through AI, someone else will. 5. Build Client Community Want to be irreplaceable? Connect your clients to each other. Host virtual meetups. Build a mastermind. Facilitate introductions. Create spaces for idea-sharing. AI will never replace real human connection—and your clients are craving it. We've seen this firsthand with the agency mastermind: community is the real secret weapon. 6. Be the Guide, Not the Gun Execution is cheap. Clarity is priceless. AI will never replace someone who can build leads. Be the one who filters the noise. Be the coach. Once you step into that role, I can promise you your value will skyrocket. So, Did Zuck Kill the Agency Model? Not Even Close. He didn't kill it—he evolved it. The agencies that lead, think, and adapt will be the ones that thrive. Those that keep selling tasks will get replaced. Agency Mastermind Still feel like you're winging it? You're not alone. Most agency owners hit a plateau because they're stuck in the business, buried in decisions, and disconnected from people who get it. The agencies killing it and scaling faster found out they needed to be in the right room. House Republicans passed their plan to raise the nation's debt ceiling, along with major cuts to health (and other domestic) programs. Unlikely to become law, it calls for new work requirements for adults on Medicaid. Meanwhile, state efforts targeting trans people bear a striking resemblance to the fight against abortion rights. Jessie Hellmann of CQ Roll Call, Shefali Luthra of The 19th, and Sarah Karlin-Smith of the Pink Sheet join KFF Health News chief Washington correspondent Julie Rovner to discuss these issues and more. Also this week, Rovner interviews Renuka Rayasam, who reported the latest KFF Health News-NPR “Bill of the Month” feature, about a specialist's demand to be paid as much as $15,000 before treating a woman's serious pregnancy complication. Plus, for “extra credit,” the panelists suggest health policy stories they read this week they think you should read, too:Julie Rovner: The Nation's “The Poison Pill in the Mifepristone Lawsuit That Could Trigger a National Abortion Ban,” by Amy Littlefield. Shefali Luthra: The Washington Post's “The Conservative Campaign to Rewrite Child Labor Laws,” by Jacob Bogage and María Luisa Paúl. Jessie Hellmann: Politico's “Gun Violence Is Actually Worse in Red States. It's Not Even Close,” by Colin Woodard. Sarah Karlin-Smith: The Wall Street Journal's “Weight-Loss Drugmakers Lobby for Medicare Coverage,” by Liz Essley Whyte. Also mentioned in this week's episode:NPR's “In Oklahoma, a Woman Was Told to Wait Until She's ‘Crashing' for Abortion Care,” by Selena Simmons-Duffin. The Washington Post's “Anti-Trans Bills Have Doubled Since 2022. Our Map Shows Where States Stand,” by Annys Shin, N. Kirkpatrick, and Anne Branigin. Hosted on Acast. How easy and often we can become discouraged at our continued sinful nature. When we run to Christ with the same tears of sorrow and regret we can be tempted to think, “Aren't you tired of me God?” But the short answer is NOT EVEN CLOSE! When we distrust his forgiving heart we subconsciously limit his mercy.Yes, we must know and acknowledge our weakness and limitations, BUT with unshakable confidence of knowing we are loved through the merciful lense of God's perfect heart.St. John Vianney said “The good Lord is more eager to pardon a repentance sinner than a mother to rescue her child from the fire“

Jake Paul had what he assumed was his highly anticipated rematch with Tyron Woodley two weeks ago. The first match between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley drew nearly 500,000 buys on PPV. Did Jake Paul replicate the success of the first match? NOT EVEN CLOSE. We reveal the buyrate from the Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley rematch. We discuss how the boxing career of Jake Paul could be on the verge of ending...at least from a mainstream perspective. We show how Jake Paul is becoming desperate...with his incessant jabs at Dana White and the UFC. We believe he is angling towards a UFC career...because Jake Paul knows his drawing power in boxing is waning.
Hey you beautiful human you…Ever wondered what it feels like to be a millionaire? Not trying to write this from a bragadocious place… seriously… it’s just been on my mind lately…Particularly, this week, when I traveled to Vegas for a business conference. Normally, when I’m at home, I’m not surrounded by other millionaires on a daily basis. And that’s okay, I love my people here, they are family. But the second I stepped into that room in Vegas, I was suddenly NOT EVEN CLOSE to the most successful one in the room…Every time I sat down at a table for dinner there would be 7,8,12 entrepreneurs worth 10, 50, 100 Million dollars each….It really put it into perspective for me, that it DOES feel DIFFERENT. I think maybe growing a business in the same environment for years on end makes you numb to the changes….You get the carYou get the houseYou go on the trips…It all starts to feel so “normal”….And then, all the sudden you’re pulled out of your normal environment, and you realize that things really ARE different….Waiters and Hotel Staff automatically treat your group differently….People literally stop and look over at the group, not because of how we look, but some unseen confidence or something… strange…People LISTEN TO YOU.That was the big one for me.I think if there’s anything to look forward to, for those of you who aspire to be multi-millionaire Entrepreneurs, it’s that.Even after building massive companies, I’ve always kind of felt “less than”.I thought that if I got in a room with other wicked smart entrepreneurs they wouldn’t respect me, or look down on me.The exact opposite is actually true. Ever heard the term “game respects game?”We used to say it in basketball all the time.It means, if you can hoop (play basketball well) you get respect, period. IT’S THE EXACT SAME IN BUSINESS.Once you get REALLY GOOD at something, those who know HOW FREAKING HARD IT IS to do will LISTEN TO YOU.You’ll have conversations that light you up, that make you actually grow instead of being lulled to sleep. You’ll LEARN from these conversations, instead of being the only one providing value to the group. You’ll find yourself listening, and wishing you were taking notes.THIS is the REAL value of becoming a millionaire.Yes, the money is nice.Yes, it can buy amazing opportunities for me, my beautiful wife, and my family. But the real value is that you can make an IMPACT, at SCALE.You’ve learned skills that can help dozens, if not hundreds, if not millions of people. You’ve EARNED respect from people that you thought would always look down on you.And now you can USE those connections to build even BIGGER companies and help even MORE people at SCALE.And it feels good! Please, don’t let anyone put you down just because you want to make a lot of money.Trust me, it sucks sometimes to be called “lucky” when things start falling your way. Not everyone is going to be down with you up-leveling them, and that’s okay. I actually met Pretty Ricky this weekend…You know.. the R&B group?I’m sitting there with Spectacular Smith (the rapper in the group). He’s an incredible dude.He said something extremely powerful that stuck with me….“If you have friends who aren’t PUSHING you to move on once they see you leveling up, they aren’t your friends. They should WANT you to be in a bigger pond.If you are the biggest fish in the pond, it’s time for a new pond. You want to be the smallest fish.”So, to summarize, what does it FEEL like?It feels like YOU, with more opportunity. If you were a jagoff before, you’ll just be a rich jagoff now.If you were kind and generous before, you will be moreso now.It feels freaking GOOD. People who tell you it doesn’t probably don’t actually have the money.Mostly, it feels kind of bada**. There’s something special about ignoring literally EVERYONE (which you need to do in order to make a million) and then being RIGHT.For those of you who haven’t experienced this feeling yet, but want to, drop a comment below. Rolling out a 19 person, 4 week, virtual + in-person mastermind with me and my business partner, today. We’re literally only taking 19 people, because I don’t think I can fit more than 19 people and their families in my house (where we’re having the in person event in 4 weeks). So if you’re interested let me know in the comments and I’ll get you a link to apply. Going to do everything I can over the next 4 weeks to inspire these 19 people to join the ranks in the 7-figure club, and most importantly, use that newfound wealth for GOOD.Kale Get on the email list at thekaleletter.substack.com
As of the writing of this post 17-19 States have signed on to the Texas case to the Supreme Court to #StoptheSteal. SCOTUS Must hear this case and Must hear the evidence of voter fraud against We the People. The State legislatures must represent The People as they have been hired to do by the American citizens. Talk show host Sally Baptiste of the American Statesman joins us on this episode. We discuss the possibilities of American politicians working with foreign adversaries and how it has affected the 2020 Presidential election. I think it is time all of those who attended the Trump rallies should come together in protests against the "media". We ought to show up at the headquarters of The New York Times : 620 8th Ave. New York NY 10018 The New York Times Company corporate phone number: (212) 556-1234 and CNN: 190 Marietta St NW Ste 1, Atlanta, GA 30303. We have to show them we will no longer be silent about their lies and witholding the truth, and acting like a state run media to support the Democrat Party. You can get the articles from this episode at the Bards Logic Newsroom . Go to the article The Georgia Vote-Counting Video Was Not 'Debunked.' Not Even Close we have in the Newsroom that has the video of the ballots in Geogia being pulled out from underneath tables after pollwatchers were told counting was going to be stopped. Bards Logic is the Grassroots, We the People show.
In early September, the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation projected that the US COVID-19 death toll could reach 410,000 by the end of the year in the most likely scenario. The current death toll has surpassed 216,000, according to Johns Hopkins University. A Tuesday Washington Post headline read: "Coronavirus cases are rising in the US, sparking worries the next big wave has begun." The subhead noted, "40 states have seen a week-to-week increase in infections." What does this mean going forward? On Tuesday, we spoke with Chris Hedges about his recent Consortium News piece entitled "Trump's Barrett Nomination Another Step Toward Christian Totalitarianism." Now, we address the question: is there a "dark money operation" powering a Republican takeover of the US judiciary, as Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) said on Tuesday?Dr. Martin Luther King once told us that the US is “the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today.” Nelson Mandela told us that "the attitude of the United States of America is a threat to world peace." Our next guest Danny Haiphong wrote a Saturday piece for the American Herald Tribune, entitled "US Is the Top Human Rights Violator in the World, and It's Not Even Close." In it, he says, "Few things are more politicized and distorted in the United States than the subject of human rights." What comes next?"The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed the Trump administration to end the 2020 Census count now, concluding a contentious legal battle over the once-in-a-decade household count despite fears of an undercount that would fall hardest on minority groups," the Washington Post reported Tuesday. Two questions immediately come to mind: what does this mean, and what does it signal? "Bloomberg published a story on Wednesday that cited anonymous sources who said President Trump is looking to withdraw hundreds of US troops from Somalia, a war the administration has significantly escalated since 2017," Antiwar.com reported Tuesday. What are we to make of this?"Expert testimony highlighted the political nature of the case against [WikiLeaks co-founder Julian] Assange, the US government's lack of evidence for alleged harm caused, and urgent humanitarian concerns related to Assange's physical and mental health," Reporters Without Borders (RSF) said in an October 9 release. "RSF also documented extensive barriers to open justice, which marred proceedings. The extradition decision is expected on 4 January 2021." What comes next?It has been said that military leaders tend to train and prepare for the last war. Is the US military learning the wrong lessons from the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh?"As the Taliban launched an offensive over the weekend to take areas of Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, there were hundreds of casualties amid some of the most intense urban fighting since Afghan peace talks began last month," NPR reported Tuesday. How did this happen?Guests:Dr. Yolandra Hancock - Board-certified physician and obesity medicine specialist Ray Baker - Political analyst and host of the podcast Public Agenda Danny Haiphong - Author and contributor to Black Agenda ReportDr. Linwood Tauheed - Associate professor of economics at the University of Missouri-Kansas CityDaniel McAdams - Executive director of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and ProsperityNeil Clark - Journalist and broadcasterDanny Sjursen - Retired US Army major and author of "Patriotic Dissent: America in the Age of Endless War"Marvin Weinbaum - Director for the Middle East Institute's Center for Pakistan and Afghanistan Studies

This week Erin and Radha hold down the fort and return to some of Bombshell's greatest hits topics, starting with North Korean missile tests and a double feature from ISIS (a new video from Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and the horrific attacks in Sri Lanka), and spinning some militias in Libya and new Iran sanctions for good measure. With the continuing mayhem in Washington, they turn to the chaos in Venezuela, lack of data from Afghanistan, and of course the “clash of civilizations” on the horizon with China. A couple +1s ago, we talked about Optimizer Jessica’s kind words and then had fun talking about Mr. Anonymous Troll Guy as well. Today I want to talk about a line from Jessica’s little note that I didn’t share before. In addition to her kind words about my commitment to sharing my own struggles and how that has helped her build resilience, she said this: “Furthermore, the partnership he and Alexandra have built is exemplary — I only wish they weren’t so hard to emulate!” Now, again, I’m super touched by that and honored that we serve as potential relationship exemplars and I know Jessica wasn’t saying that she thought we were perfect… AND… (Laughing as I type this…) As Maslow said and we discuss ALL THE TIME (but still nowhere near enough!), THERE ARE NO PERFECT HUMANS. And, by extension, THERE ARE NO PERFECT RELATIONSHIPS. And, as I always like to say: You and I won’t be the first perfect people. Nor will we have the first perfect relationship. (At least Alexandra and I certainly won’t!) Here’s what’s funny. The morning after we received that note (LITERALLY the morning after!), Alexandra and I got into a nice little argument. Now, to be clear, we weren’t crazy yelling at each other or anything, but it was a nice little testy one. (Laughing.) About what? Well, that’s the best part. Basically about the proper way to Optimize and build sustainable habits. (Laughing.) I won’t bore you with the details but the point I want to make is that, and I know this is obvious but I want make sure we’re all on the same page, WE AREN’T PERFECT. Individually or together. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! Again, I realize that’s obvious, but I want to make it jumbo explicit. Why do you think I work so hard on this stuff? And why do you think I come back to the same themes again and again and again? BECAUSE I NEED IT!!! (More laughter.) Ahem. So, yah. There ya go. btw: In a chat with Cal Newport not too long ago (we’re actually chatting in a couple hours—which I’m really looking forward to), we talked about my Big 3: Energy + Work + Love. He was breaking it down with his “I-have-a-Ph.D.-from-MIT brain” when I shared my Wildly Important Goal for “Love.” It’s always evolving but, basically, it’s to celebrate my 50th wedding anniversary with Alexandra and be best friends with my adult kids. I told him that no one sets a goal like that unless not hitting it is a possibility. (Laughing yet again.) In other words, Alexandra and I being married in another 39 years isn’t a foregone conclusion. We have challenges like everyone else. And, we’ll choose to work on them and preserve/Optimize our relationship as a key component of our Optimizing and actualizing or we won’t. But the challenge remains. For all of us. Again, I repeat, off the soapbox now in a more relaxed tone: There are no perfect human beings; and, there are no perfect relationships. So, I’m honored to be an exemplar for those who find inspiration in my life and I’m absolutely (!!!) committed to being worthy of that role. AND… That’s Today’s +1. Let’s remember that NO ONE is perfect. And, as hard as we work, we won’t be the first. Then let’s rub our hands together at all the challenges we face and strive to be imperfect, always-Optimizing-and-actualizing exemplars for our families, communities and world.

This one feels like I'm standing naked in front of all you- which, actually at this point would be less scary than talking about the M word... money. I wasn't always willing to offer up my naked body (ha!) but that's because I've spent years fighting for the right to love myself, my body, and all of its flaws. So what does this have to do with money? For me, I'm realizing it's one in the same. CONFIDENCE doesn't just have to be about what we look like. Why? Because confidence is a FEELING, not a certain LOOK. Truth be told, I am confident AF about my body because I taught myself how to be. Does this mean I have what society would deem a perfect body? NOT EVEN CLOSE! And the best part is- I don't even care! *shakes unperfect hips anyway* What I'm NOT confident about these days is my money. Not even close. Just like the stories about our bodies, the story surrounding our relationship money starts from childhood. And we burry ourselves within these stories. So I'm laying it ALL out there for you today on this episode, because I can't just TALK about being confident, I gotta BE about it. If you're not hanging out with us in the Confidence Project group, you can join us here. If you're enjoying this episodes, leave us a review on iTunes and/or take a screen shot and share on social media!
It is true, I Google Nude Yoga not to participate but to see if there was information about it online. And boy oh boy was there but there was one major problem, the photos are terrible. Maybe my next project should be to photograph some nude yoga and to keep it fair I would photograph men and woman. This weeks show had a bunch of different topics that we talked about before jumping into the Photo News with Stephen. I shared my experience going and photographing the Philadelphia Flyers. From getting the pass to being told what location I was going to shoot at for the game. Stephen Sutter made his way back to the loft after driving for 18 hours straight. His road trip was supposed to take him to Massachusetts but ended up somewhere NOT EVEN CLOSE. Be sure to listen to see where in the world was Stephen SUTTER!!! If you are in Chicago I will be going to the Phillies Cubs game on Saturday afternoon. It is a 1:20pm CST start and I will be sitting in the bleachers. I would love for you guys to come on out and join me wherever we decide to sit in the bleachers. It seemed like a light photo news week with not to many major stories but Stephen found the good ones to share with you guys. Finally there were some very killer Flying Solo Questions that took our conversation down many many paths. What I love about RAWtalk is the fact that we have a lot of fun making it. My goal all along has been to not create a gear centric boring photography podcast like the majority that are out there. Sure I sing and interrupt Stephen from time to time, but that’s what makes it fun. What I can tell you though is that we make sure to always bring the show back around to photography and learning. The flying solo questions trigger so much information, that is why I continue to bring them to you every couple weeks Thank you guys for your continued support!!! A big thank you to AllensCamera.com, RODE Microphones, Squarespace.com/fro and ATOMOS. We LOVE our Atomos, it makes recording so much easer and better quality on our main angle.
