Die `Ananas Reinette` ist die beliebteste Apfelsorte in der Gastronomie. Ihr Fruchtfleisch ist fest, saftig, kräftig und süss-sauer mit sortentypischem Ananas - Geschmack. Das gibt hervorragende Apfelschnitze, Sorbet und sortenreiner Most. Die `Ananas Reinette ` ist eine alte Sorte, um 1800 in Holland entstanden. Sie benötigt warme, sonnige Lagen mit lockerem Boden. Sie ist schwachwachsend, ideal als Spalierbaum oder Niederstamm. Als Hochstamm gezogen, bildet sie eine dichte Krone mit viel Fruchtansatz. Zur Bestäubung der Blüten müssen zwei verschiedene Sorten Apfelbäume gesetzt werden, denn die Sorten sind selbst unfruchtbar. Auch aus unbefruchteten Äpfeln entstehen Früchte, diese haben aber nicht so ein gutes, volles Aroma wie bestäubte Früchte. Bestäubte Früchte sind erkennbar an den dunklen Apfelkernen im Kerngehäuse. Gute Bestäubersorten der `Ananas Reinette` sind Apfelsorten, welche zur selben Zeit blühen z.B. Berlepsch, Klaraapfel, Berner Rosen, Goldparmäne u.a.. Diese Apfelbäume müssen im Umkreis von 100-200m vorkommen. Obstbäume werden beliebig zwischen Ende Oktober und Anfang März gepflanzt. Der Sommer ist ebenfalls möglich,der Baum muss dann aber jeden Tag gründlich gewässert werden.

During this isolated winter solo trek, which she filmed for National Geographic, she learned the power of community. Ultimately, lessons learned along the trail would catalyze her community work later in life. For the last 20 years, Reinette has applied many lessons learned along the trail and focused on building her hometown of Nevada City, California, as a more prosperous and resilient community. Through risk assessment, public outreach, and a daily hands-on/hard work ethic, she has supported Nevada City and her surrounding areas to prepare for a much more challenging and unpredictable future as a council member, mayor, and community activist. By now I think everyone is familiar with my stance on politics- I think we have an illusion of choice and democracy, our votes don't count, and presidents are selected, not elected. But is there merit to politics at a local or state level? I think it's worth exploring. Reinette Senum is a natural leader. She's traveled to nearly 60 countries and has an incredible ability to connect to those around her, no matter where she is or who she's speaking with. In a true one-of-a-kind feat, she crossed Alaska, alone, in the winter of 1994. The lessons she learned along the trail became the catalyst for her later community work.
