I felt like I could just do anything by myself when I really got into that." "Wanting to help other people is a really, really powerful motivator because a lot of us will take quite a lot of, you know, substandard treatment towards ourselves and we won't necessarily stand up to it straight away" "To invest in yourself, I truly, truly believe that nothing can build more confidence than feeling strong on the inside" VALUABLE RESOURCES https://www.facebook.com/groups/confidententrepreneurscollective http://www.nataliearabella.com/club Consultation Call Booking - https://calendly.com/natalie-arabella-bailey/confidencecollective Sarah Green is the CEO of Pyramid Coaching and Consultants Limited, a project management and analysis consultancy based in the UK. Due to the ongoing strike by SAG-AFTRA, the release of Jeff Nichols' film The Bikeriders, featuring Tom Hardy, Austin Butler, and Killing Eve star Jodie Comer, has been delayed. Originally scheduled for a December release this year, New Regency Productions has decided to postpone it. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, there is still hope that the movie's release will be pushed for the awards season next year. The Bikeriders is based on the 1968 book of black-and-white photographs by Danny Lyon, which captures authentic biker portraits. The film immerses viewers in the lives of the Vandals, a fictional biker gang in 1965 Chicago, and the extended cast includes Michael Shannon, Boyd Holbrook, and Norman Reedus. The movie is a collaboration between Regency Enterprises, Tri-State Pictures, and 20th Century Studios, with Sarah Green, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Arnon Milchan as the producers
Meet Sarah Green, CEO of the Katie Piper Foundation, a UK-based charity that provides support and advocacy for burns survivors. With a career that started in finance, Sarah transitioned to the charity sector in 2003 as a fundraiser for a small international development charity. She later focused on event-based fundraising for the St Elizabeth and St Helena hospices before joining the Katie Piper Foundation. Sarah's passion for the health sector was inspired by the care and support her late father received, along with her family. She was determined to lead an organisation one day, so she invested in relevant qualifications, successfully completing a Master's degree in Voluntary Sector Management. In October 2018, Sarah was appointed CEO of the Katie Piper Foundation, realising her dream of leading an organisation. While this was an exciting opportunity for both Sarah and the foundation, she faced unforeseen challenges with the COVID-19 pandemic and economic disruption. These challenges have led to a cost-of-living crisis, which may negatively affect the charities' ability to raise funds. The Katie Piper Foundation, established in 2009 by burns survivor Katie Piper, is proud to be survivor-led, providing in-person and virtual rehabilitation services. They support adult survivors of burns and those living with severe trauma scarring, addressing both their physical and mental health. Katie started the foundation from her parents' house a year into her recovery from a horrific acid attack outside a North London internet café. The attack caused third-degree burns to her face and chest and blinded her in one eye. Prior to the attack, Piper had a career in modelling and TV presenting, planning a future in the media. Though her life changed forever that day, Katie remained determined to fulfil her potential and not let the attack define her. While Katie's journey to recovery has been long and difficult, requiring surgery to clear blockages caused by scar tissue, she has become an inspiration for other burns survivors, both personally and through the foundation's work. Today, the Katie Piper Foundation provides rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy and emotional support, and advocates for survivors, helping to connect them to the services and interventions they require. The foundation's work is a testament to the strength and resilience of burns survivors and the dedication of Sarah and her team. Katie remains heavily involved in the charity and, as one of nine skilled volunteers, serves as a trustee. In addition, the charity has two notable ambassadors: celebrity music guru Simon Cowell and businessman Simon McCabe. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mark-longbottom2/message

London's convenient time zone, bustling city atmosphere, and impressive set of financial regulations have made it a top destination for banks and financial services companies to operate over the years. But the newness of crypto means there's an international gap in the market for legal standards on digital assets. The Law Commission of England and Wales is an independent regulatory body that advises the UK government on reform. It's been tasked with getting London ahead of the pack when it comes to regulating crypto. In this episode, Emily Nicolle, Crypto blogger for Bloomberg News, is in for Stacy-Marie Ishmael. She's joined by Sarah Green and Matthew Kimber from the Law Commission to discuss the proposals they've made to Westminster.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Sarah Green experienced what so many parents experience, and that's the desire to move away from fast fashion, to endeavour to be more sustainable and to not end up with bag loads of baby clothes that need a new home after just a few months. I've certainly been there! With this in mind, Sarah left her career in publishing to launch Borro, a circular fashion service which rents baby clothes.Borro enables busy parents to shop sustainably for their baby clothes. With complete flexibility, parents choose just want they need and return the clothes when they're outgrown, meaning no hassle sorting and storing old baby clothes either.I wish Borro had been around 10 years ago!Find out more about Sarah:www.linkedin.com/in/sarah-green-40870a33/https://borro-it.com/www.instagram.com/borro.it/Find out more about me:www.ayeshamurray.comwww.linkedin.com/in/ayeshamurray75www.instagram.com/ayeshamurray_coaching
It was such a pleasure to converse with Sarah Green of Spare Parts For Broken Hearts. This band is ferocious and this is what I adore about getting the chance to chat with creators. Learning so much about their unique view of this fickle thing we call earth, and how they go about creating.

Two people that we love mentioned Spare Parts For Broken Hearts to us in the last month. First, it was Animaan from Analog Party who brought them to the conversation. He said to me they were a very solid live band and we should consider having them perform at one of our Hanging On Sunset / Team Nowhere events (By the way, don't miss our next event on Friday, December 17th - more info here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CXHpaz9vQmv/). Then, Anthony from Teenage Wrist / Iron Point came to the studio to record our latest episode and he said we should have them on the podcast. When two of the most talented musicians in town agree on such a thing, you don't have much choice, and that's why we reached out to Sarah Green to schedule an interview. The frontwoman was joined by bass player Jonny and both came to our very secret location last Friday and we had a very great time. First, the music they create resonates with us. Like I said during the interview, it sounds familiar because the musical and cultural bath of influence we hear in their craft is probably very similar to ours. The names that we brought in the conversation were those of the artists we grew up with like The Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, or Nirvana but also lesser know acts like K's Choice and the Spanish band Heroes Del Silencio. That's where Jonny's Guatemalan roots and my Spanish roots cross paths. Spare Parts Of Broken Hearts can't be reduced to their musical influences though and you need only to listen to them once to be touched and impressed by the quality of Sarah's vocal melodies and the powerful authenticity Jessica helps them deploy with her drumming. They're not here to compromise on anything and their music is very well reflecting their motto: « Everything heavy, everyone here ». Yes, the music is heavy but so are their heart. Sarah's lyrics are very transparent about her feelings and struggles in her daily life. The emotion she carries through the many aspects of her voice is very often overwhelming and distressing because you can tell it comes from a very honest place. The vocal tremolo she uses in the lower parts is haunting and it puts you in a sort of trance, the raspiness coming from her throat grabs your heart and you can feel she has the ability to rip it out in a second, and when she finally does, Sarah lets it all out in one of those epic choruses filled with long notes and unexpected changes. The pain finally equals the pleasure and we are experiencing the adrenaline rush of a rollercoaster. The most beautiful part of this rollercoaster is that everybody is invited to the party because the things she deals with are universal sufferings. Spare Parts For Broken Hearts make a point that they want their band to be a refuge for the outcast, the lonely, the left out and all the freaks out there. It seems they have created a real bond with their fans that's breaking the old stereotype of rockstars versus groupies. Thank god, it's 2021 and we don't need that anymore. We need more bands like SP4BH, carrying values of empathy, equality, and tolerance. We need more bands that are actually bringing more to the table than posture and dreams of glory. We need authenticity, community, and great music. Sarah Green, executive director of the Oklahoma Teachers' Retirement System, breaks down a crucial component in the lives of professional educators, both new and experienced. We also talk with Heidi Russell, executive director of the Coalition of Oklahoma Breastfeeding Advocates (COBA), on the impacts of SB 121 and why it is so important to support working mothers in our schools with safe, clean lactation rooms.
On this episode, we chatted all sorts of things with our dear friend Dr. Sarah Green. Sarah is a poet and professor of literature and creative writing at St. Cloud University in Minnesota. She is a stepmom of two great kids and a poetry mom to many more. The roots of this friendship go back to our days in Somerville, MA and you'll get plenty of Boston references. You'll also get to join us in a discussion of pandemic attention and creativity (or lack thereof), what we might keep and what we plan to toss away from pandemic times both literally from our closets (think liberation from button pants) and figuratively from our families, and parenting as improv. We talk about the power of being a "yes and" parent instead of a "no but" parent and the unexpected gift the pandemic has given Sarah of bonus parent leave. Molly gives us her theory of poets as historians from the future come into the present moment and Sarah reminds us of Molly's "Spring is not Safe" sermon, more true in 2020-21 than when she preached it years ago. This episode will leave you wanting to know Sarah better.

My guest this week is Sarah Green. She is some who walks in so much grace and is such an example of a great mom. She has kids ranging from 5 to 22, so she knows what it looks like to raise a child into adulthood and can use that wisdom in her younger children. You will hear her advice and encouragement for moms. So get ready to write some things down. One of my favorite things she said, "Your parenting needs to stem from being obedient to the Lord and not from if I do [fill in the blank], everything is going to work out for my child”. So good! Listen and be encouraged!
