In the early hours of the 14th August 1982, Gurcharan Singha Landa or John Landa as he was commonly known was stabbed 87 times in the taxi that he drove in Nottingham. A huge investigation was launched with a witness even seeing the murder take place however since then his murder has remained unsolved. I have worked with John's family to raise awareness of his case.Important information provided by:Many thank to John's family for their support of the episode.Contemporary articles provided by: https://www.findmypast.co.uk/https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-19384706https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-19200976https://www.itv.com/news/central/story/2012-08-14/nottingham-taxi-driver-murder/Further listening on Stephen Sylvester and Pardeep Sangha's murders : https://www.spreaker.com/episode/8-the-taxi-cab-murders--24893107Music by: dl-sounds.comFollow the Unseen Podcast on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-unseen-podcast/id1318473466?uo=4Follow the Unseen Podcast on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0xWK7Mu3bTP6oziZvxrwSK?si=QxvyPkZ2TdCDscnfxyeRawJoin our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/unseenpodFollow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/theunseenpodFollow us on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/theunseenpod/Support us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/theunseenpod?fan_landing=trueSubscribe to 10 Minute True Crime: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/10-minute-true-crime/id1591474862
Credits Banner: Niharika Entertainments Cast: Nani, Sai Pallavi, Kriti Shetty, Madonna Sebastian, Rahul Ravindran, Jisshu Sengupta, Murali Sharma, Abhinav Gomatam, Manish Wadhwa, Leela Samson, Subhalekha Sudkahar, Sivaranayana, Anurag Kulkarni in Pravanyalaya song Music: Mickey J Meyer Cinematography: Sanu John Varughese Production Design: Avinash Kolla Editing: Navin Nooli Fights: Ravi Varma Story: Satyadev Janga Story Development - Dialogues - Screenplay - Direction: Rahul Sankrityan Producer: Venkat Boyanapalli Release Date: December 24th, 2021 Interesting Facts: Writer Satyadev Janga worked on the story for 3 years and he knew Rahul Sankrityan from a long time. The inception of Shyam Singha Roy happened in 2019 when the filmmaker met writer Satyadev Janga. The latter pitched a one-liner with the backdrop of Calcutta. The highlight of the movie is that Kalighat Temple Set in Hyderabad. It was The set costed them Rs 6.5 crores and the shoot of the film is currently happening in the set. The film is a periodic drama set in the backdrop of West Bengal. A 100-year-old Kali temple set was constructed using bricks and clay to bring the authentic feel of an old Bengali temple. Over 1200 workers took two months to construct the special set that is spread across 10 acres in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Even the workers for the set are flown down from West Bengal as the makers did not want to miss the unique style of the temples in their state. But the set was damaged by heavy rains and The makers spent close to Rs 2 crores and 10 days on the set work again. Movie got average talk I think and was a hut but the weirdest movie. Budget was 4-60 crores but they undersold it for just like 20 or 25 crores and it made 27 crores share and was a hit at the box office. Its considered a success. Writing/Direction: The big problem with this movie is actually the present portion. Any story of reincarnation needs conflict but here there is none. Vasu's entire character has no point because his whole point is that he is Shyam Singha Roy reincarnated. Theres nothing else. The main villain Mahanth is already dead and if he wanted to take revenge, then Shyam's brothers are also dead cobvienelty in a a car crash. So the entire present portion is useless. I still standby my comment that if the director had made the entire movie in 1970's Kolkata with the same themes of caste, communism, and devadasi's this movie would have been an all time classic. Because there's so much to explore. The directors efforts in writing are present in set up and payoffs which some of them work brilliantly. Shyam first scene in the movie is fighting for a Lower caste person (intouchables) then he happens to marry someone of a Lower caste that leads to his death. So his first and last scenes are mirrors of each other His ideologies were the reason for his downfall. His brothers have differences since they are a conservative family so he decides to leave Used Navaratri as a way to establish the love track, they meet almost every night. And Shyam is an atheist. Rosie tells him that she Ila okrka Amma vasya roju, nee vodilo padukunni, ninne choosthu, moham meeda chirunavvu tho chanipovali ani vundi, ache naa aakhari korika and in cliamx thats what happens when Vasu comes back His right pinky finger is interlocked with her when they are married and when he dies the same finger shakes. And when she dies in Vasu's arms, his pinky finger is with her The story that Vasu directs happens to a butterfly that a little girl drew on a boat. This comes back in the climax. 2 Bells burn in opening scene and then Nani brings them to Rosie in climax and leaves them on a table before he meets her. Production Design by Avinash Kolla. MASTERPIECE. The Bengali architecture is perfect and the whole atmosphere created for the period setup, printing press, houses, village, etc is so good and authentic and realistic. Its the highlight technicality of the movie if you ask me.

Abstract: A hallmark of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and other interstitial lung diseases is dysregulated repair of the alveolar epithelium. The Hippo pathway effector transcription factors YAP and TAZ have been implicated as essential for type 1 and type 2 alveolar epithelial cell (AT1 and AT2) differentiation in the developing lung, yet aberrant activation of YAP/TAZ is a prominent feature of the dysregulated alveolar epithelium in IPF. In these studies, we sought to define the functional role of YAP/TAZ activity during alveolar regeneration. We demonstrate that Yap and Taz are normally activated in AT2 cells shortly after injury, and deletion of Yap/Taz in AT2 cells led to pathologic alveolar remodeling, failure of AT2 to AT1 cell differentiation, increased collagen deposition, exaggerated neutrophilic inflammation, and increased mortality following injury induced by a single dose of bleomycin. Loss of Yap/Taz activity prior to a LPS injury prevented AT1 cell regeneration, led to intra-alveolar collagen deposition, and resulted in persistent innate inflammation. Together these findings establish that AT2 cell Yap/Taz activity is essential for functional alveolar epithelial repair and prevention of fibrotic remodeling. Copy rights belong to original authors.

With the cost of living crisis, rising costs to study architecture, and living in a post-Brexit world (for all of our UK listeners), a key question that comes to mind is whether Architecture REALLY is accessible for all to study and practice in reality anymore? To help delve deeper into this ongoing quandary I am lucky enough this week to be joined by Sumita Singha, a chartered architect, author and teacher, with a passion for the environment, equity and ethics who received an OBE for services to architecture in 2021.Keen to support the next generation of architects she has lectured on architecture and technical design for over 25 years in the UK and abroad. As part of seeing more inclusion and equity in the profession, she set up Architects For Change, the equality forum at RIBA, and chaired Women in Architecture as well as being a co-founder of Asian Architects CIC.Her own experiences of disability have given me an awareness of the importance of patient-focused healthcare as well as becoming a Non-Executive Director in the NHS for nine years.

Life is a crazy roller coaster, we cannot predict the future but we can learn from the past by recognizing our inner light. This is how Harry Singha achieved success through the recognition of his history. Harry is a man of values and principles, who has shared the stage with iconic figures such as Bill Clinton, Tony Robbins, Robin Sharma and Sir Richard Branson. Harry's real process started at a very young age, one thing is having a goal and another is enjoying the process. When he was a kid he experienced domestic violence with his mother and siblings, due to his father's alcoholism. It was a very difficult time, where he watched his father beat his mother 3 to 5 times a week, and feeling the stress of seeing his older sisters run away from home. His adolescence was difficult, Harry began to sleep in the streets only to not go home, until one day he came home his uncle tried to murder him, but thank God his mother stopped him and told Harry to leave home. As a result of all that Harry believed that the problem was him and that everything that had happened was his fault. Over time it was the understanding that Harry began to help other people without asking for anything in return, this turned into good karma that allowed him to change his life in less than 5 years. Harry learned through the experiences of others, the problems of everyday life and the experiences of his clients; that nothing had been wrong and that everything that happened in his childhood was not his fault. At that moment he was able to answer the questions that as a child he asked himself for so long: - How was his father capable of hurting his mother and family like that? - Why did his mother ask him to leave home? - Why those awful things happened to him? So he decided to take a break from everything and sit down in a room with the young Harry, talking to him, forgiving him and embracing his past. This is how he changed the worst day of his life and made it the best, starting with healing, forgiveness, commitment and unconditional love. That's when Harry totally changed his life and gave the world a wonderful gift; a personal healing program called LIGHT. If you are interested in Harry's story, I invite you to listen to our entire show and learn with every word from Speaker Coach Harry Singha! And remember, Help the Helpless -Harry's Mother. What will you learn in this episode: Harry's life story. Choosing your own path to be completely destructive or constructive. Everything about the LIGHT healing program. How knowledge gives you freedom and happiness. Recognize the value in helping those in need. In the first episode of the new Coaching Uncaged podcast Animas Centre Director Robert Stephenson is joined on a roundtable discussion by Executive and Systemic Coach Salma Shah, Executive Coach Saima Butt and Master Youth Coach Bob Singha to explore the lack of cultural diversity in the coaching industry and the things that we might all do to change this. The panel share their personal experiences and journeys around diversity in the world of coaching, drawing on their own backgrounds, insights and observations to create a fascinating discussion on an incredibly important topic. Using the current pause to recalibrate and consider what we can do to make a real difference, this exploratory discussion really asks us all what things we might do to address the lack of diversity within coaching, create change and in turn a greater richness in our tribes, communities and the coaching industry as a whole. My guest today is an international speaker, coach and Philanthropist. I interviewed Harry whilst he was in Dubai speaking at the National Achievers Congress where he was speaking alongside Gary Vee and Grant and Elenor Cardone. I have known Harry for 10 years but this was the first time I had actually met him. Harry was as down to earth as I thought he would be. I hope you enjoy the podcast
