Erin is probably best known for her role as Elizabeth on “When Calls the Heart.” You can't tell me Hallmark doesn't know what it's doing by premiering an Erin Krakow movie, the same weekend season 11 of “When Calls the Heart” premieres. The last MOVIE we saw Erin in was the “The Wedding Cottage” with Brendan Penny. Robert Buckley plays author Graham Sterling. She's got a healthy list of acting credits but her last Hallmark credit was from 2020 in a “Picture Perfect Mysteries.” Related: Listen to what Girls Gone Hallmark thought about "One Bad Apple" Hilary Jardine plays Graham's sister Lizzy. We saw Hilary over the weekend in “One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery.” Johannah Newmarch plays the NRP reporter Raina. Johanna also appears on “When Calls the Heart” as Molly. This movie was filmed in January and February in Langley and Gibbons, British Columbia. According to Heavy.com, production was hit with a snow storm during filming. This week I am actually doing three reviews in one. Lol. I am reviewing newest Hallmark films, Raise a Glass to Love starring Laura Osnes and Juan Pablo DiPace, Finding Love in Mountain View starring Myko Olivier and Danielle Ryan as well as the newest Chesapeake Shores episode. I talk about the missed opportunity Hallmark had in making Raise a Glass to Love and talking about women empowerment, representation and feminism in the winemaking/sommelier industry. Instead turning it into a falling in love with a hot Argentinean guy while I have a boyfriend storyline. I talk about the lack of emotional impact Finding Love in Mountain View had in comparison to Sweet Carolina, and yet because of that had a better ending in my opinion. And also i rant about the lack of wedding in the wedding episode of Chesapeake Shores. Although the show notes make it seem I didn't like the movies, I did give both movies 3 stars. And Chesapeake Shores sucked this week. 9/23 Interview with Adil Zaidi, co- star of Roadhouse Romance. He also starred in Wedding March 6. He was really the only part of that movie I liked so I am excited about this interview. 9/28 Taking the Reins Recap starring Niki Deloach and Scott Porter and Rise and Shine, Benedict Stone Recap

This movie was sweet (pun intended), thought provoking, witty, and heavy. Emily and Sophia dive in to the nitty gritty of what made this movie GREAT. Their scores were the highest we've seen so far, so this is a must listen. If you have ever experienced grief, then you will see this movie handle that topic with grace, strength, and honesty. It does not shy away from the hard and messy parts. Emily and Sophia talk about their lives and what changes have happened in just one week. Tune in to find out who is becoming a barista and who is just super pumped about a new coffee joint in town!

When a high-powered New York businesswoman, played by the omnipotent Lacey Chabert, becomes the legal guardian of her niece and nephew in North Carolina, will she leave her big city life behind to raise them? Well, if their basketball coach is the smoking hot Tyler Hynes, the answer is a slam dunk.Mary and Charlie were a little split on the movie, but they both had questions.Does a toaster really blacken bread so much that it smokes?Does Delilah look like dirndl woman from Winter in Vail? Why is Charlie mansplaining bagel mode? How come she packs a sheet? How come? Why was Lacey simultaneously straightening her hair, blow-drying it, and using a Waterpik at 4 am?Did homeboy really need to dump a whole bag of flour on her head?Where did dad get his cardigans?Did ex-boyfriend have to be so savage? How awkward is it that her brother played her boyfriend in another move? Also, weigh in on Instagram on which Juilliard grads are richer and listen to Mary's final rant about When Calls the Heart.
Les, Kurt and Jason try to delay the inevitable: talking about this week's Hallmark movie. Despite the presence of Queen Lacey Chabert, the guys would much rather discuss a Blac Chyna story involving a hitman as well as a long discussion of late 80's/early 90's first run syndication staples like Throb, What's Happening Now, Small Wonder and Shelly Long. When they DO talk about the movie, they find themself fascinated with grilling whilst bathing, John Grisham novels as porn, and the offensive stealing from (aka homage to) Back to the Future. Another month gone? How can it be? I've gone on vacation, Gemini season has started, I've turned 33 and that means my birthday month is officially coming to a close! Time to get into all the things May had - only 2 Hallmark movies this month, Baby It's Cold Inside and Sweet Carolina. Hallmark, how ya doing? We should really talk soon. The May book club pick The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren got a solid 8/10 rating and it's another CL book heading into June. Then it's time to talk about the book I could shout from the rooftops about - Man Enough by Justin Baldoni. It's so good I'm only halfway through because I have to constantly stop and sit in the validation of finally being heard and understood by a man trying to help other men. Rounding it out, I recap the other books I made it through this month including two historical romance books by Martha Waters; To Have and To Hoax and it's sequel To Love and To Loathe. Rachel Lynn Solomon's The Ex-Talk was a solid debut out of YA and finally, it's so good to be back online British Author land with In Case You Missed It by Lindsey Kelk. Just...read that book. So much goodness - let's get into it all! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Megan and Wendy review the new Tyler Hynes movie "Sweet Carolina" which premiered on May 15, 2021. The story was developed by Lacey Chabert and Jonathan Prince. Related: Listen to our reviews of other Tyler Hynes movies - On the 12th Date of Christmas and It Was Always You. Did You See That? One of our favorite segments of the podcast is Did You See That? where we point out, scrutinize and sometimes ever critique specific scenes from the movie. During this episode, we talk about this scene several times. First, because it was truly funny and felt organic. Lacey Chabert gets nailed in the face with a handful of baking flour and her reaction is priceless. We also talked about the candies on the countertop. The characters are supposed to be baking cookies for a fundraiser. While chocolate chips and other candies like M&Ms are reasonable choices to add to cookies, it looks like one container is full of hard candies like Runts. Tell us those aren't Runts bananas in that center container. View this post on Instagram A post shared by

We discuss Sweet Carolina in this episode! Was this one a slam dunk for us? We talk about the incredible emotional performances, the romance found through the grief, and how Tyler Hynes is the Ryan Gosling of Hallmark.

This week I was joined by special co-host Charlie Fields, host of Thirsty for Hallmark Podcast. We review the newest Hallmark movie titled "Sweet Carolina" starring Lacey Chabert and Tyler Hynes. It is Lacey's 26th Hallmark movie and first project ever that she created and produced from the beginning. This movie is different from the usual Hallmark fare. Instead of a rom-com, this movie explores the story of a family going through the grieving process after losing a sister, a mother, and a daughter. Each character went through their process of grief and we follow Josie's journey as she steps in as the legal guardian for her niece and nephew. We both love this movie, but biggest complaint was that the ending just didn't go with the rest of the movie. You can listen to the podcasts in all platforms. Megan and Wendy recap and review Hallmark Channel's "Baby, It's Cold Inside" starring Jocelyn Hudon and Steve Lund. This is the first movie Wendy couldn't finish. Megan is left with the burden of reviewing the whole movie but not before Wendy melts down about pancakes. Email the podcast! We read every email: meganandwendy@gmail.com News and Notes About Baby, It's Cold Inside Baby, It's Cold Inside was filmed on location in Quebec at a real ice hotel. In fact, Hotel de Glace is the only ice hotel in North America and is operational during the months of January to March. Would you ever stay at an ice hotel? Email us. Actor Steve Lund said the filming location was so cold that electric socks were a must have. Electric socks? Who knew electric socks were even a thing? You can get them on Amazon for less that $40. What is a Kransekake? It was mentioned in this movie that the Ice Hotel was trying to wow the travel reviewer guy with some traditional Nordic desserts, specifically a kransekake. A kransekake is a tower of delicate cookie rings and is commonly served at weddings, parties and holidays. The kransekake used in Baby, It's Cold Inside was a stack of pancakes. It wasn't even close to what a kransekake looks like. Hanna then tried saving the day with an Aebleskiver recipe which is a round pancake ball typically served for breakfast. She somehow made a whole bunch of them using a cake pop pan. Nope. This what an Aebleskiver pan looks like. I've never ever heard of making Aebleskivers in a cake pop pan. Finally, the travel reviewer guy is presented with the classic French dessert: a croque-en-bouche. This whole scene in Baby, It's Cold Inside was such a mess. What Next for Girls Gone Hallmark? Stay tuned as we'll be back next week to review Sweet Carolina starring Lacey Chabert and Mr. Hynie himself.

This week, Hallmark Channel did a "Love Around the World" Marathon with no new movies. So this week I chose to do listeners' choice, and by an overwhelming majority, Winter in Vail wins starring Lacey Chabert and Tyler Hynes. This is the first movie with these two leading actors, but it certainly isn't their last. They will be starring in Sweet Carolina two weeks time. On this podcast, I discuss again this very very popular Hallmark trope. Inherit a fixer upper, renovate it to sell, falls in love, decides to keep the place. I am not lying when I tell you I had major deja vu watching this movie. We also discuss the beauties of Vail, chemistry between Lacey and Tyler, Strudelfest and how this was different than last week's Hearts Down Under. In February, when the Nashville Predators had one of the worst power plays in the league, you would've been hard-pressed to find a fan who truly believed the team could make the playoffs. Oh, what a difference a couple of months -- and an Eeli Tolvanen -- makes! Now, the Preds are battling it out with the Dallas Stars and the Chicago Blackhawks for fourth place in the Central Division, with eight games to go in the shortened season. This week, IAYF co-hosts Michael Gallagher, Geert De Lombaerde and Megan Seling discuss how the team got here (hint: it was the young dudes), and what could happen if the Preds make it to the postseason. Also discussed: What does Carolina have that the Preds don't? Could Matt Duchene be happy as a winger? And what should the Preds do with that long-forgotten Smashville pedal tavern?Plus: Gallagher tells you everything you need to know about new Preds signees Tomáš Vomáčka and Marc Del Gaizo.
This week I have a special podcast episode interviewing Marco Grazzini star of Hallmark's newest movie release Right in Front of Me. He plays Chef Nick Guevarra. For those who may not be aware, this is a groundbreaking role for Hallmark. Marco is the first Filipino lead in a Hallmark movie. Janel Parrish and Marco are the first leads of Asian descent for Hallmark channel. And it's an honor to interview a fellow pinoy. Marco and I discussed Asian representation, Filipino culture, similars/differences with his character, working with Janel Parrish and much more. We also do briefly discuss AAPI hate and our hopes and dreams for the future as far as representation. This is a personal podcast for me. Well, what can we say about the best, most hilarious, most triumphant game of the year so far? We're still baffled as to how we won against Carolina despite losing at least twice, and we're here to hash it out. Praise to Tre, Praise to Wendell, praise to life itself. Plus, should the Crazies have burned someone alive afterward? A philosophical discussion.
