King would go on to finish 22nd in the event in her first Olympic appearance. In this episode, King discusses how she got involved in track & field, how she overcame injuries by surrounding herself with believers who encouraged her off the track, her experience at the Olympic Trials and at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and how the Roberts Wesleyan community has rallied around her over the last year.

On this wide ranging and action-packed episode, Charlie exposes the wide gulf between our voters (you) and our elected leaders, many of whom are Republicans. From mask mandates and vaccine mandates for our military, to school closures and dehumanizing in-person learning conditions, where are the Republicans we elected to represent us? Obama's 60th birthday party goes off without a hitch and is even defended by the New York Times. Meanwhile in Obama's native Chicago, officer Ella French is brutally gunned down in a what should have been a normal traffic stop. Meanwhile, in a slice of good news, the United States Olympic Team wins the medal count in Tokyo, including the Gold Medal count, despite the snickering and gloating mainstream news media which delighted in America's possible defeat to the Chinese. We continue with Tom Chorske here on "Inside the Game" brought you by flexxCOACH and flexxCOACH VR. Tom faced his biggest set back in his career in 1988. He had played two years of hockey at the University of Minnesota and was asked to play for the United States Olympic Team. Was a dream of his to play on the Olympic Team after what happened in 1980 and being from Herb Brooks home state of Minnesota. Things were going well on the pre Olympic tour but just before the games he was last player cut from the team. Was a huge set back and being a first round draft choice his confidence took a hit. Had to figure out what was wrong with his game and how to get back on track. He went back to the University of Minnesota and had a great season before getting injured but worked through the difficulties and at the end of the season signed with the Montreal Canadians who had drafted him two years earlier. He made the team out of training camp and then got sent down to Sherbrooke in the AHL. Had to learn how to adjust to being a professional player in the NHL and how the little things you do add up to big things. There is a huge learning curve in NHL and it takes time to understand. We talk about wearing the Montreal Canadians sweater and scoring his first NHL in the legendary Montreal Forum. Enjoy segment two of five with Tom Chorske.
There was plenty of hoopla when Paige Bueckers committed to UConn, but no matter how many points and awards she accumulates, she won't be the first Hopkins graduate to attend that school, because Taylor Anderson got there first. Anderson was a dual-sport sensation at Hopkins in basketball and track and still holds the Minnesota state record for the fastest 100m women's race, a feat that helped her get her first car. She went to UConn on a track and field scholarship, and she's hoping to earn a spot on the United States Olympic Team for the summer games in Tokyo. Anderson also knows a thing or two about dynasties, being a part of one with Hopkins girls basketball and a good friend of the UConn women's basketball athletes responsible for their four straight national titles. All of that and more are discussed in this podcast! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/tsbtelevision/support

And what MATS is? After years of using MATS with clients you developed Square 1 to address a different need, why and what is that need? What does Shawn mean by a compensation and how does a dad or typical baseball coach recognize if their athlete are compensating. To help more coaches you developed a program called Signal 6. I remember when you came to Austin in 2018 how when I went through the Signal 6 exercises I gained a bunch of external rotation in my throwing arm. Why is it you developed Signal 6 and how will athletes like me benefit from it? Shawn recently launched the Signal 6 course online, and tells us more about it? (http://www.advanceyourart.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/wyland-art-10.jpg) Wyland: Art, Community, Conservation “One person can make a difference…be that person.” Renowned marine life artist Wyland changed the way people think about our environment when he started painting life-size whales on the sides of buildings in the 1980s. Wyland always thought big. And he never stopped. Today, the Wyland name has become synonymous with the new generation of awareness about environmental conservation. Through his unique marine life paintings, sculptures, and photography, Wyland has inspired a generation about the importance of marine life conservation. His life – like his art – can find him anywhere around the world, at any time, from the Antarctic ice shelf on a photo expedition to document climate change to a grassroots journey down the Mississippi River on a mission of conservation. The multi-faceted artist, scuba diver, educator, and explorer has hosted several television programs, including, “Wyland’s Ocean World” series on the Discovery Channel’s Animal Planet Network, “Wyland: A Brush With Giants” and “Wyland’s Art Studio,” a series for national public television. His mission of engaging people through nature-themed art and a more environmentally friendly lifestyle has led to strategic alliances with such notable organizations as the United States Olympic Team, United Nation Environment Program, and Walt Disney Studios, to name a few. His 100th and final Monumental Marine Life Mural, Hands Across the Oceans, a 24,000-square-foot, half-mile-long series of canvas murals with student artists from 110 countries, was displayed in October 2008 at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and honored by the National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution, White House Council on Environmental Quality, and the U.S. Department of the Interior. In May 2010, the United Nations released six Wyland images for an international stamp issue celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission. Since 1993, the non-profit Wyland Foundation has set the standard for environmental outreach. In partnership with the United States Forest Service and National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), He is actively engaged in teaching millions of students around the world to become caring, informed stewards of our ocean, rivers, lakes, estuaries, and wetlands. The enormous extent of Wyland public artworks (it is estimated that his murals are viewed by more than a billion people every year), his award-winning art galleries, and community service projects have made him one of the most recognized and beloved artists in the nation. He is considered one of the most influential artists of the 21st Century, with artwork in museums, corporate collections, and private homes in more than one hundred countries. www.wyland.com (http://www.wyland.com) (http://www.wyland.com) Quotes: The artist Wyland has been “green” since the early 1970s, so it is high time the rest of the world caught on to the idea that saving the planet is a way cool thing to do. – Mobile Press-Register Wyland is considered by many to be the finest environmental artist in the world. – The Congressional Record, Vol 139, No. 112-Part II Your organization is making an invaluable contribution to effort to promote environmental awareness among our youth and to encourage them to continue their own efforts. – Al Gore Wyland is a Marine Michelangelo. – USA Today
