Pour notre génération, il n'y en aura pas beaucoup des procès du siècle.   Les chiffres sont vertigineux, au moins 330 avocats constitués, 1765 parties civiles et 14 accusés   Nous sommes la génération des attentats de Charlie et du Bataclan …O sait tous ce que l'on faisait lorsque l'on a appris, lorsque l'on a compris.    Certains d'entre nous ont perdu des proches et nous avons tous vécus pendant 10 mois avec les brèves de ce que l'on a appelé "Le procès du siècle".   Pour nous, avocats, ce procès c'était peut-être autre chose . C'était la démonstration de ce que la défense peut faire de plus noble, de plus grand. Je ne plaide plus depuis bien longtemps, mais j'ai eu envie de donner un peu de ma force à ces confrères que je voyais sur mon poste de télévision épuisés, les traits tirés.    Ont-ils tous été parfaits ? non certainement pas, toujours dignes ? non plus.    Mais on s'en fou, ce que nous avons gardé en tête avec Charlotte, ce sont ces robes noires, nos confrères, qui ont assisté leurs clients comme ils ont pu, donnant le meilleur d'eux même probablement en se dépassant, laissant de coté leur vie et certainement leur cabinet.    Il ont été pendant 10 mois, aussi, l'emblème de notre profession.   Dans cette armée de robes noires, il y avait notre consœur Olivia Ronen et notre confrère Martin Vettes qui défendaient celui qui a polarisé l'attention, Salah Abdeslam. Ils ont été, avec leur client, au centre du procès.    Martin était collaborateur au moment où il a pris la décision de rejoindre Olivia, alors comment monter son cabinet après avoir plaider le procès du siècle ? C'est la question que l'on a eu envie de poser à Martin Vette que l'on est ravies d'accueillir dans ce nouvel épisode d'avocats génération entrepreneur.

The 2023 Nissan Z loudly proclaims that affordable performance cars are not dead. While many seem to be writing off internal combustion engine vehicles — and all automotive fun — we say, “Not so fast.” The new Z and its 400-horsepower turbocharged V6 are poised to breathe new life into a segment that is in need of some rejuvenation. One of the great American Road annual events is the Woodward Dream Cruise held each year on a stretch of Woodward Avenue in Detroit, MI that runs from Detroit city limits to the suburb of Pontiac nearly 30 miles to the north. The day features classic cars that have been lovingly cared for traversing some of the oldest paved road in the country. Hundreds of thousands of classic car enthusiasts and curious fans line the entire route. Some large parking areas a reserved for special displays by companies that serve this audience. Our show today focuses on a unique display that was part of the 2016 Woodward Cruise. The classic car insurance company Hagerty, based in Traverse City, MI, created a drive thru display called Veils, Vettes and Vows. The day Megan Braden Perry woke up and decided her husband smelled too bad and liked loud noise too much to stay married to him, she started mentioning it on Twitter. Her husband, some days or maybe weeks later, decided to check Twitter out for himself after his mom told him she d been reading some pretty weird stuff about him. What transpired next led Megan to get a divorce and be happily dating a bunch of guys number unknown including "a little dude down the street" from Wayfare. Rachel Vette, the singer in the band The Vettes, reluctantly admits she s married though she lost the wedding ring she never really had. Yes, it s a weird story but Rachel doesn t like peer or societal pressure and most of her life is pretty non conforming including marrying a guy whose name is a secret and ditching her ring under bizarre and half remembered circumstances. Nick Napolitano is a comedian at The New Movement Theater and the producer of New Orleans ever growing comedy festival, Hell Yes Fest.
