Everything keeps resetting, but still you progress. You got the sword, the watering can, but you died five times in the process. The teens burned down your pirate ship while you were away. Your audio equipment is degrading at an unsettling rate. Fortunately everything is safe, now that you live in the cloud. Now that you're live in the cloud. Al Pacino is back on HBO playing another real-life figure, disgraced Penn State coach Joe Paterno. HBO's latest original movie, "Paterno," explores the two-week timeframe when Paterno went from celebrating his achievement scoring the most wins for a football coach in collegiate history, to losing his job at Penn State. Barry Levinson, who also worked with Pacino on "Phil Spector" and "You Don't Know Jack," directs. The two of them recently sat down with IndieWire's TURN IT ON to discuss their new HBO movie, but also the difficulty of getting character films made in the era of the blockbuster, Pacino's passion for 35 mm, and why he's excited to be working with Netflix on his next project.
Singer-Songwriter Erin Enderlin has written songs like "Monday Morning Church" recorded by Alan Jackson, "Last Call" by Lee Ann Womack, "You Don't Know Jack" by Luke Bryan, and many more. She also has recently released an album of her own, "Whiskeytown Crier," available now wherever music is sold. Erin stops by the office to chat with Jacob about songwriting, inspiration, her new album, and they even play a song from it together at the end of the talk. So stick around and enjoy!
