150 movies entered the Octagon in our search for the Ultimate B-Movie. But a lot more films almost made the cut. In this series of 7, Jim, Jack, and Nic check out movies that would have fit in the Octagon but had something that would hold them back (usually budget or actual quality). Set in the kingdom of Ehb, the story follows Farmer (Jason Statham), who was adopted by his village. When Farmer's wife, Solana (Claire Forlani), and his son leave to sell vegetables at the town of Stonebridge, Farmer's farm is attacked by creatures called Krugs. With the help of his friend and neighbor Norrick (Ron Perlman), he travels to Stonebridge where his wife and son are. Before he arrives, the Krugs, controlled by the wizard Gallian (Ray Liotta), kill his son and capture his wife. Farmer, with the help of Bastian (Will Sanderson), his brother-in-law, and Norrick sets out to find and rescue his wife. The King's nephew Fallow (Matthew Lillard) is conspiring with the wizard Gallian to take over the kingdom led by King Konreid ('Burt Reynolds'). Currently listed as #96 on IMDb's Bottom Rated Movies. So it begins... Meet Uwe Boll - one of the most reviled directors in modern history, and possibly this podcast's first returning villain. Step into the fantasy realm of Dungeon Siege, a computer game that really never needed to make it to the silver screen. Jason Statham, Burt Reynolds, Ray Liotta and John Rhys Davies star in this LOTR "inspired" medieval epic that will have you on the edge of your seat and your eyes rolled to the back of your head.
It all began with the forging of an awful script. And the responsibility of directing such a film was gifted to Uwe Bol, who above all desires power. Join Kevin, Doug and Paul as they take a trek to the heart of Mount Doom to cast this film into the fire.

Welcome to episode 2 of Bottom of the Barrel! This week we are watching a movie that sits at a underwhelming 4% on the Tomatometer, called In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale. Is it as bad as they say it is? Only one way to find out!
Jason Statham plays a farmer named Farmer in In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, and we're here to tell you all about it. After more kitten talk (and the sharing of kitten pictures, which I guess you can't see because this is an audio medium), we share a quick update to the #2F2F format and then learn a lot about Jordana Brewster. (Or do we?) Then, we remember Elian Gonzalez in the 2 Fast 2 Furious Minute (33:35) before focusing our magic and talking about Justin Kleinman's movie pick, In the Name of the King (44:20). Joey teaches a quick course in Uwe Boll 101 and Joe compares Boll to Christopher Moltisanti. We talk about mind swords, the movie's *iconic* final line, and the out-of-place music before heading to Letterboxd to see if anyone has this in their Top 4. Liebe Freunde! Wer beichtet was? There was no dungeon, no siege, no tale. In the Name of The King: A Dungeon Siege Tale was a lie. A horribly written lie. According to Kaity it's my worst pick yet and I agree with her. This movie was bad. With the names it has in it you'd think it would be a banger but it most certainly is not. The funny thing is is that they made sequels. We'll probably review those later but for now have a listen to what we had to say about this abysmal piece of refuse. Don't forget to hit that subscribe button and check out the archives. You could listen to us for over four days non stop at this point in time.
Pain. All we feel is pain. In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale is the fifth Uwe Boll film we've forced ourselves to endure, and like all before it, it is miserable. Why are we doing this? Is Uwe Boll even worth talking about? Is he just a troll uninterested in his own movies, thriving on negativity? Is Jason Statham even a good actor? We answer all these questions, and more, in the latest GQ Review. Enjoy?
What In The Name of The King is Uwe Boll up to now?! Someone gave the notoriously awful director $60 million to turn video game Dungeon Siege into a wannabe Lord of the Rings. He’s even convinced Jason Statham to star as a martial-arts wielding peasant caught between goodfella magician Ray Liotta and a royally miscast Burt Reynolds in the battle to be crowned Worst Supporting Actor. Will Arnie have to travel to the pits of Mordor to burn this DVD, or is this the epic to finally free Boll from movie jail? Find out when you join the Now Playing Arcade!
