VERSONO Medical Ltd is delighted to announce that it has been named Dragons' Den winner of the CX Innovation Prize at the international CX Symposium in London last week. The competition was between nine companies from the US, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Ireland, all of which have developed innovative technologies in the field of vascular and endovascular treatment. The US/Galway-based firm faced off in a Dragons' Den-style event in which VERSONO Medical CEO Finbar Dolan presented on the company's plans for its revolutionary FastWire Technology Platform, including its progress on enabling the endovascular treatment of chronic complex total occlusions (CTOs), and the latest developments in its FREEFLOW pivotal study. VERSONO was judged the winner by a panel of Dragons including Robert Mitchell, General Manager of global healthcare company Organon; Prof. Frans Moll, vascular surgeon; Prof. Tilo Kolbel, Director of the German Aortic Centre in Hamburg; Jeffrey B. Jump, founder of Casper-Medical; and Charles Taylor, CEO of Veryan Medical. The event was chaired by Baron Stephen Greenhalgh. FastWire is a truly disruptive technology designed to quickly access previously untreatable complex blockages in arteries, increasing success rates and reducing risk of amputations via endovascular techniques. It uses a novel proprietary ultrasonic technology developed and patented by the company to cross through severe, complex blockages in patient's arteries, above, and below, the knee with Critical Limb Threatening Ischemia (CLTI). The technology has huge potential application in endovascular procedures. VERSONO Medical is in the process of completing the FREEFLOW pivotal study for its FastWire System. Designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the FastWire device through the FDA-approved Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) study, FREEFLOW is being performed in three centres the Vascular Institute of the Midwest (VIM) in Davenport, Iowa; the Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) in Houma, Louisiana; and the Vascular Institute of Chattanooga (VIC) in Tennessee. Subject to the successful completion of the study, the company will seek US market approval to launch FastWire. The Charing Cross (CX) Symposium took place from April 23-25th at the ExcCeL in London. The event brings together world-leading experts in the treatment of vascular and endovascular disease to discuss the challenges and emerging trends in the field. Hosted every three years, the CX Symposium is a prestige event which holds education, innovation and evidence as core values. VERSONO CEO Finbar Dolan says: "It's an honour to win the Dragons Den innovation prize at the CX Symposium in London. Biopharma's reaction to the forced resignation of venerable CBER director Peter Marks has been swift and furious, with former FDA Commissioner Robert Califf saying on LinkedIn that “the FDA as we've known it is finished.” Analysts, meanwhile, called Marks' exit “arguably biotech investors' greatest fear,” as company shares across the industry tumbled. Marks' announcement added insult to injury for the agency, which was already reeling from the announced cuts of 10,000 employees across the Department of Health and Human Services, including 3,500 FDA staffers. Those layoffs began to roll out on Tuesday as some employees showed up to work only to discover they no longer had a job. Amid all this chaos, Cantor Fitzgerald analysts called for Kennedy himself to get the axe, saying in part that he was “undermining the trusted leadership of health care in this country.” Despite the turmoil, drug development continues in the obesity space, with Novo Nordisk presenting mixed data from its semaglutide franchise at the American College of Cardiology's annual conference last weekend. While an oral version of the blockbuster drug showed cardiovascular benefits for some patients, it failed to change the trajectory of other major adverse cardiovascular events. Meanwhile, Novo continues its battle against compounding pharmacies manufacturing copycat versions of semaglutide—as multiple players scramble for a piece of this massive pie. On the Alzheimer's front, Eli Lilly's Kisunla failed last week to win the recommendation of the EU's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use. This decision is consistent with CHMP's recent stance on anti-amyloid antibodies, as Biogen and Eisai have also struggled to get Leqembi approved in Europe. On a positive note, pharma R&D returns grew again in 2024, but Deloitte warned that this progress is “fragile.” The firm urged companies to be bold and embrace cutting edge technology like gene therapy and AI. These returns can't help everyone, however, as the past week has seen an uptick in layoffs across biopharma, including at Carisma Therapeutics, Organon and Tenaya Therapeutics. Finally, as April kicks off cancer conference season, BioSpace took a deep dive into the recent action in the always-hot in radiopharmaceuticals space.

Looking at the impact of genetic manipulations on the human body and soul is similar to Hahnemann's understanding as seen in aphorism 206 in the Organon of the Medical Art where he says we need to identify which chronic disease if those symptoms are in the foreground and part of the totality. I have found in my practice that the RNA remedy is doing wonders for people who have had RNA disruptors injected into them multiple times and as a result their well-chosen constitutional or acute remedy is not being read by the patient. Giving the patient the remedy RNA to take when the homeopathic remedy is not doing anything will very often allow the patient's system to read the code and the remedy begins to work. Looking for answers to how to fix the damage done by RNA and DNA disruptors and manipulations as well as the impacts of genetic engineering on our health is something we can begin doing but will need to go to the source. Just as we have in miasms and in organ specific disease, we should being using remedies such as healthy RNA, a homeopathically diluted and succussed remedy that can remind the body what healthy, when we need the code to help the RNA help the homeopathic remedy do its work. All views presented are based on credible sources, but they are explained through the individual's viewpoint. Doing your own research while integrating new information is always important when forming your own viewpoint. The information in this podcast is not meant to address individual health needs, it is general in nature and should not be used as medical information for your health unless used in combination with your health practitioner.
"In the healthy continuum of life..." Jeremy Sherr presents his adaptive translation of Hahnemann's Organon in modern language. We began the episode with Jeremy's enthusiasm for his project to make the Organon more accessible to today's homeopaths. He explained his adaptive translation approach, updating references to address contemporary issues and replacing outdated terms with modern equivalents. We also discussed Jeremy's new book on Krypton, reflecting his long-standing interest in noble gases. He shared intriguing insights about the remedy's links to time and consciousness, highlighting how Krypton represents both perfection and imperfection. Throughout the episode, we explored the philosophical aspects of homeopathy, including the significance of language and the nuances of defining health and disease. Episode Highlights: 01:39 - Updates on the Organon project 05:21 - Defining health often overlooked in allopathic medicine 07:54 - Emphasizing “regulates” over “governs” for harmony in health 09:27 - The importance of language in homeopathy 16:01 - Insights on Krypton and its significance 19:39 - The nature of sleep and time 21:59 - The Importance of Clients Being Open in Consultations 24:22 - Unusual Experiences During Remedy Provings 28:11 - Advocating for Fair Compensation in Homeopathy 43:55 - Discussion on suppression in homeopathy 53:18 - Overcoming fears about prescribing remedies 57:23 - The implications of short homeopathy courses 01:08:28 - Jeremy's resources and upcoming projects About my Guest: Jeremy Sherr is a prominent figure in the field of homeopathy, born in South Africa and raised in Israel. He began his formal studies in 1980 at the College of Homoeopathy in London while also completing a degree in Acupuncture at the International College of Oriental Medicine. Although he practices homeopathy exclusively, his deep understanding of Chinese Medicine enriches his approach. The use of an MK3 Emergency transceiver on the TARDIS identifies a distress signal and brings the craft to the lush jungle world of Chloris, where metal in all forms is a rare and prized commodity. The Fourth Doctor and Romana venture out to discover the remains of an enormous egg in the jungle, and when they meet the inhabitants they find a matriarchy ruled through fear by the icy and callous Lady Adrasta. Without metal to make the tools needed to keep the jungle under control, lush plant life dominates. The Lady Adrasta controls the planet's very last metal mine, holding on to power through the Huntsman and the Wolfweeds. Her throne room contains an array of metal including a shield patterned in the same way as the remnants of the shell. She mentions the Creature which dwells in a deep pit on Chloris. Romana is captured by a party of scavengers, keen to find and hoard more metal. They are impressed by K9. The robot enables her escape and she is briefly reunited with the Doctor before he leaps into the Pit himself, determined to get to the bottom of the mystery and the Pit. Within it he encounters Organon, an astrologer thrown there by Adrasta earlier, and then comes face to face with the Creature: the vast shapeless blob rolls over him. The Doctor calculates it is not, however, dangerous, and is fascinated to note it is a herbivore which produces metal from within itself. It also forms a tentacle and draws a picture which the Doctor recognises as the shield from Adrasta's throne room. Lady Adrasta, her lady-in-waiting Karela, the Huntsman, his Wolfweeds, and some guards, enter the Pit and make their way to the Doctor, Organon, and the Creature. The scavengers have raided the throne room for booty, including the alien shield. It exerts influence over two of them, who take it to the Pit and place it on the Creature. It turns out the shield is a communication device. Erato, as the Creature is named, is the Tythonian ambassador to Chloris and came to negotiate a treaty exchanging metal for chlorophyll fifteen years earlier. Its craft was the vast egg found in the jungle. However, Adrasta realised her power was dependent on control of the planet's metal supply and so imprisoned Erato to maintain her status. The Huntsman sets the Wolfweeds on Adrasta as Erato rolls over them both, devouring the Wolfweeds and leaving behind Adrasta's web-covered corpse. The Doctor arranges to have Erato lifted from the Pit. Adrasta's sidekick, Karela, attempts to capitalise on the situation and seize power herself—but with the help of K9 the Doctor brings it to nought. The Doctor has rescued the Tythonian just in time – it seems Tythonus has declared war on Chloris over the missing ambassador, and has despatched a neutron star to collide with Chloris' star and destroy the system. It is due to collide within the next twenty-four hours. Erato weaves a metal covering around the star, enabling the Doctor, using the TARDIS gravity beam, to draw the star off course and neutralise the danger. The Doctor's last act on Chloris is to push the Huntsman, now one of the de facto rulers, toward a mutually beneficial trade agreement with Erato and the Tythonians.

The Homeopathy Health Show welcomes Dr. Christina Chambreau to the show to talk about her work as a Homeopathic Veterinarian, author and teacher. Dr. Chambreau is an internationally known homeopathic veterinarian, lecturer and author. She graduated from the University of Georgia Veterinary College in 1980. Several years later a client told her about homeopathy and a local veterinarian sent her bottles of Cantharis and Urtica from the Washington Pharmacy for “bladder problems.” Months later a cat with cystitis came into the practice and was able to stop taking antibiotics for the first time in 3 years after taking one or both of “this stuff that might help your cat”. Very interested, Christina attended a class at the National Center for Homeopathy Summer School taught by George MacLeod and began using homeopathy in her veterinary practice. Her successes (those initial miracles that keep us studying homeopathy) encouraged her to take a second class the next year with Dr. MacLeod and began Dr. Paul Herscu's yearlong training program. By then, Dr. Pitcairn was offering annual weekend classes on homeopathy for animals which she religiously attended. Since 1988 she has used primarily homeopathy in her practice and began teaching. She is a co-founder of the Academy Of Veterinary Homeopathy, was on the faculty of the National Center for Homeopathy Summer School teaching repertory and animal classes, was an adjunct faculty at the Maryland Veterinary Technician Program and is on the faculty of the Holistic Actions for animal health which is based on homeopathic principles. She teaches courses on homeopathy and holistic health virtually and around the world to lay and veterinary students. Her commitment is to de-mystify homeopathy, to show how healing of all types follows the principles of the Organon and to have people realize the power (for good and bad) of remedies, and how this approach helps our environment. Using the principles of homeopathy, she shows how to experiment with the myriad healing modalities available and evaluate their results properly. Writing the Healthy Animal's Journal (and now the dog and cat ebooks, soon the horse journal, too) was needed so people could easily track the symptoms and essence of their animals to be able to evaluate the direction of response to any treatments. She is very practical and eschews “Do this because it worked for me…” suggestions, rather teaches the underlying principles whenever possible. She also wrote the kindle book – Fleas Be Gone: A holistic veterinarians guide to natural flea control. She is co-author of the Homeopathic Repertory: A Tutorial (Karen Allen) and How To Have A Stress Free Wedding (Mort Orman). Be inspired and join the conversation. Last year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published a report showing that the number of women who died from pregnancy or a pregnancy-related cause in the U.S. in 2021 increased by 40 percent from 2020. This rate of maternal mortality in the U.S. is now the highest since 1965, and the U.S. fares worse than any other industrialized nation. While all ages and races saw an increase in maternal mortality in 2021, Black mothers remain the most affected. Black women are 2.6 times more likely to die from pregnancy or pregnancy-related causes than white women in the U.S.In response, MATTER and 51 Labs partners Health Care Service Corporation, Laerdal Million Lives Fund, BayCare, Parkview Health, University of Chicago Medicine, Organon and Stryker launched the next iteration of 51 Labs to call on global innovators to submit applications with innovative healthcare solutions that prevent maternal mortality in the U.S. before, during and after birth.Join MATTER for a panel discussion on this topic with panelists Colby Holtshouse, head of global MedTech commercial organization and the former US maternal health lead at Organon, and Dr. Ira Sites, OBGYN at BayCare. For more information, visit matter.health and follow us on social: LinkedIn @MATTERTwitter @MATTERhealthInstagram @matterhealth

What kind of company would you create if you could start from a blank slate? Despite being spun off from 130+-year-old Merck, Organon had this unique opportunity. The women's health, biosimilars, and established medicines company started from the beginning, defining a new mission, establishing a board of directors, and unifying their impact around a commitment to the global health of women and girls.Nearly half of the world's pregnancies are unintended. Organon is working to change that by ensuring women around the world have the power to decide when and whether they will start a family, enabling them to live their promises. Through the Her Promise Access Initiative, Organon collaborates with organizations in the world's least developed regions to offer education, training, and affordable contraceptive options. Central to this effort is "Her Plan is Her Power," which empowers women to manage their reproductive health, reducing unplanned pregnancies and disparities in high-need areas. We invited Geralyn Ritter, EVP of Corporate Affairs, Sustainability & ESG, to explain how Organon was structured to create meaningful change and empower women to live their promise.Listen for insights on:How Organon established the most gender diverse Board in the S&P 500Articulate values to influence behaviorExpanding internal benefits to be more inclusive of women's health needsResources + Links:Geralyn Ritter's LinkedInHer Promise Access InitiativeHer Plan is Her PowerMerck for MothersGeralyn's First Purpose 360 Episode “An Act of Grace” (00:00) - Welcome to Purpose 360 (00:13) - Geralyn Ritter from Organon (02:28) - Geralyn's Background (06:13) - Merck for Mothers (07:36) - The Name (09:17) - Board Members (12:15) - Their Purpose (14:55) - Values (16:23) - Innovation (20:13) - Her Promise Initiative (23:41) - Partners (26:11) - Measurement (28:40) - Recruiting Actions (29:50) - Recognition (30:51) - Last Insights (32:53) - 2030 (34:50) - Wrap Up

Aristotle (384 BCE - 322 BCE)Translated by Octavius Freire Owen (1816 - 1873) Categories (Lat. Categoriae, Greek Κατηγορίαι Katēgoriai) is the first of Aristotle's six texts on logic which are collectively known as the Organon. In Categories Aristotle enumerates all the possible kinds of things that can be the subject or the predicate of a proposition. Aristotle places every object of human apprehension under one of ten categories (known to medieval writers as the praedicamenta). Aristotle intended them to enumerate everything that can be expressed without composition or structure, thus anything that can be either the subject or the predicate of a proposition. The ten categories, or classes, are: Substance, Quantity, Quality, Relation, Place, Time, Position, State, Action and Affection. As a teenager I found ‘The Organon of Rational Medicine ‘by Dr Samuel Hahnemann in my school library & I realised that I wanted to be a homeopath right then & there! However, it was many years before I eventually achieved that ambition. After A-levels I moved from Northern Ireland to Birmingham (I thought that it, being the UK's second biggest city, would be ‘hip & happening!') after a few years I eventually became an electronics engineer in the RAF (Royal Air Force). I left after serving 6 years, & remembered my desire to be a homeopath all those years before & before I knew it, I'd enrolled at The Centre of Homeopathic Education to begin a 4-year degree course!…at this point I STILL hadn't tried homeopathy for myself, I just knew that I agreed with Dr Hahnemann's book that I had carried on my travels wherever I went. It was early in my studies that I discovered that the ‘mystery illness' that kept me doing ‘light duties' in the RAF for over 18-months was actually caused by the cocktail of vaccinations I had had a few months before. This started my investigation into how homeopathy can reverse vaccine damage that eventually led to my interest in the treatment of autism. I graduated in 2009 & now work full-time as a homeopath. I see people over video Apps like Skype and Zoom. In the past I also supervised a student clinic, as well as working in one of the homeopathic pharmacies dispensing remedies & giving advice on acute conditions. Laterally I ran a course to help other homeopaths build effective practices. Now however, I just focus on treating my patients who are based all over the world. I treat a wide range of conditions, but have particular interest in treating children with autism and related disorders, which I believe to be a reversible condition often caused by toxins (be they from vaccinations, or other medications or sources of heavy-metals). I also have an interest in treating PANS/PANDAS cases. Connect with Erin:https://heartwinghealing.com/ Connect with Alan: Alanfreestone.com
