In this profound message titled "The Message of the Cross", Bishop Jimmy Evangelista unveils the transformative power that resides in the cross of Jesus Christ. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 1:18, he expounds on the seeming foolishness of the cross to the world, yet its immense power for those being saved. Bishop Evangelista highlights two symbols that define Christianity - the empty cross and the empty tomb. The cross signifies that "It is finished", representing Christ's redemption for our sins through His death. The empty tomb declares His resurrection, conquering death itself. The heart of the message centers on the power of God available to believers through the cross: Redemption from Sin (2 Corinthians 5:21) Christ took our sin upon Himself, making us the righteousness of God. Substitution from the Curse (2 Corinthians 8:9, Deuteronomy 8:18) Jesus bore poverty so we could become rich, giving us the power to obtain wealth and break generational curses. Eternal Life (Romans 6:23, Luke 10:20) Accepting Christ grants eternal life and assurance of our names written in heaven. Power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8, Genesis 1:26-28) The Holy Spirit empowers us as witnesses and restores our dominion over creation. Power of the Tongue (Psalms 103:5, Proverbs 18:21) Death and life are in the power of the tongue, allowing us to speak blessings. Authority over the Enemy (Luke 10:19, Mark 16:17-18) Believers have power to trample over the enemy, heal the sick, and cast out demons. Bishop Evangelista proclaims that signs, wonders, and miracles follow the power of God residing in believers through the cross. Join us as we embrace this life-changing truth and experience the fullness of God's power made available through the message of the cross.
Many churches conclude their Sunday worship services with an invitation to "accept Christ as your personal Savior." Is this a biblical concept? What does "accepting Christ" truly entail? Dr. David K. Bernard addresses this important question by examining what the Scriptures have to say about accepting Christ and the components of genuine faith. If you enjoy this podcast, leave a five-star rating and a review on iTunes or your preferred podcast platform. Often we rehearse death, darkness and curses over ourself. It is vital to speak life to ourself and others. Accepting Christ is life. It is life eternal and life everlasting. This embracing life rejects the words of death that someone else has spoken over us. It is in speaking life and establishing good thinking skills that we will be free to enjoy our days.

Sometimes, what makes you different makes you who you are. While that may seem obvious, that cannot be truer for Eric Gamero, the pastor of The Local Church in South Florida. Eric had a Cuban father and a Korean mother. The culture clash eventually led to his parent's separation. Spending weekends with his mom meant that he grew up in a Korean church. Accepting Christ at 12 while at a summer camp, he didn't understand what that looked like until he was 15 and decided to commit his life to serving God. Being one of two Asian kids in his high school made him very aware of what it means to be on the “outside.” This understanding still feeds his desire today to find those in the world outside of the love of Jesus and to help them see it. Listen today and be inspired.
Message: Maybe you had to choose between two things? Hard-pressed is having a difficult decision and choosing which way to go, better or best, or the better over the more needful. [Testimony of Better and Best, Salt and Light] What is better and what is best or needed? Accepting Christ is a newest, an abundance, but it is also a life of affliction and sacrifice for others and yourself. Christ gave Himself for us so we could give for others. There are 2 things going on in today's scripture regarding difficulty in the decision making process. It is two good things, serving Christ is this world and enjoying Him in another. One is better and the other is best, living for Christ and living with Christ. In 2 Corinthians 11:25, Paul chooses "better" which are perilous times, so through him others would find Christ and rejoice. In Philippians 2:3-5 and 1 Corinthians 16:22, there is a call to love others, live out an abundant life because Jesus will live out His promises, and a warning of being cursed without Christ. It is a call not to be the same as the world, and an expectation which exalts Christ. When we answer the call and wholly commit to be used by God on this earth, we will be hard-pressed but not unto death, with a promise of a coming life. While we are waiting, experience His abundant life in this world, making a difference in this time and place, so others see Jesus in us and cry out to Him. Let the world see our neediness for Jesus. Living according to His will; it will let them see a reflection of His image, life and work. The transformed life is an example to others, leaving no argument. Seek the Lord to give you a voice and opportunity to increase the boundaries of your territory, letting Christ be seen in us is to have Him high and lifted up. Let the light and salt of Christ come out in you, someone way want what you have. We are encouraged in Jude 1:21-22 to make the most of opportunity to make a difference with your hands. In having compassion, you may help pull somebody out of the fire. Let God use your story, your hard-pressed times, to display a life undefeated and joyful. Scripture: Philippians 1:21-24 "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you." - NKJV
I am sorry you may have been deceived. If any of you were told that giving your life to Christ makes your life easier, you were deceivedYou thought by giving your life to Christ everything you now asked God for was going to begin falling from the sky, you were deceived.I am sorry if you accepted Christ thinking you would never shed another tear, never have your heart broken, never be angry, or never be tempted by sin again. Is giving your life to Christ, Fulfilling, yes! Joyful, absolutely! But easier? Absolutely not. In some ways, life gets more difficult after we come to Christ. The struggle against sin, laziness, gluttony, swearing, anger, envy, self-centeredness, materialism, covetousness, and sexual sin seems never-ending. The world, the flesh, and the devil don't go away because we have stepped into a relationship with Christ.Accepting Christ as Savior means we receive instant justification before God, but not the world. Romans 10:10 “For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth, one confesses and is saved”. Accepting Christ as our Savior gives us divine and legal rights and privileges as sons or daughters of God, Romans 8:17 tells us we are joint heirs with Christ.www.BibleDeliverance.org
The celebration of Independence Day in the United States reminds us of our quest for freedom, both individually and as a society. As followers of Christ, we recognize our need to be free from the bondage of sin and our own selfish desires. Accepting Christ as our savior marks a new beginning and a spiritual rebirth, but the journey to freedom is ongoing and requires the cultivation of spiritual disciplines such as prayer, reading the Bible, and fellowship. Just as the nation had to establish its systems and institutions to uphold its freedom, we too must establish spiritual disciplines that strengthen our faith. Let us commit ourselves to the ongoing journey of spiritual growth by carving out time for prayer, study in God's word, and engaging in meaningful fellowship with other believers. Unity is crucial in the pursuit of freedom, as we are called to set aside our differences and come together as one body in Christ, extending love, grace, and forgiveness. The colonists set aside their differences for a common cause, and as followers of Christ, we are called to do the same. Let us embrace love, grace, and forgiveness in our relationships with one another, recognizing that our unity is a powerful testimony for the freedom we have in Christ. As we celebrate Independence Day, let us reflect on the deeper meaning behind the day and the eternal freedom we have in Christ. Let us be thankful for the sacrifices made for those who fought for our nation's independence, but let us also honor their legacy by living as faithful and free followers of Christ. Jesus, the Son of God, gave us the perfect example of a true sacrifice by giving his life on the cross. Through his death, he conquered sin and death, offering eternal life and reconciliation with God. It's Jesus' ultimate sacrifice that serves as a profound reminder of the depth of his love for us and the immeasurable lengths he went to redeem us. Let us deepen our relationship with God today and continue seeking truth, growing in faith, and finding freedom in Christ.Show Notes: Faith with Friends Podcast - Independence Day and Freedom in ChristOverview: In this episode of Faith with Friends podcast, the host, Lisa Lorenzo, discusses how Independence Day helps us reflect on our quest for freedom in Christ. Accepting Christ doesn't just redeem us from our past, it actually puts to death the old person and replaces it with an entirely new one. As the Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5: "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, and the new has come." So not only are we washed clean of our sins, we are made totally new creatures who have never had a sinful life in the first place.
In this episode Randy Kinnick shares about seasons of "pause" and how they serve as building blocks to our "next" as we pursue purpose. About Randy Growing up in small-town Tennessee, Randy was raised in a middle-class, blue collar family, where work, extended family gatherings, and vacations were the norm. The divorce of his parents, when he was 12 years old, rocked his world and contributed to the formation of his view of the world and himself. Accepting Christ as Savior, at age 9, Randy grew into a more mature understanding of his faith and relationship with the Lord at age 17. At age 19, after making plans to pursue a degree in architecture, God changed his direction completely and Randy answered a call to ministry, proceeding to pursue a ministry education at Welch College. In those years of learning, growth and broadening of his view of the Church and the world, Randy sensed that mental health therapy would play an important role in his ministry work and enrolled at The College of William and Mary, where he earned a M.Ed. in Counseling. Randy has since seen God's hand at work to lead him into and through many wonderful opportunities of ministry around the world. He has served in pastoral roles, serving youth, young adults and adults through preaching, teaching, counseling and evangelistic efforts. His skills of writing have been utilized to contribute to both published and non-published works of Bible study materials, small group curriculum, periodical articles and blogging. Randy's gift of teaching has taken him across the United States, France, Canada, and to the country of the Philippines. Work with faith-based evangelistic humanitarian work has given him opportunities to touch lives in the Philippines and Honduras. His burden for battling against human trafficking has led him to work in the country of Thailand. Never imagining as a boy in east Tennessee, that these opportunities would have been possible for him, Randy is amazed to see the hand of God at work to do things above and beyond his imagination. Randy now lives just outside Nashville, TN, with his wife, Cindy, where they can be nearby their daughter, Emily, son-in-law, Caleb and 2 ½ year old granddaughter, Charlie. He currently serves as the Therapeutic Foster Care Program Director for the Mid-North Region of Tennessee. When he is not busy with his work, he enjoys spending time with his family, running and working out, and traveling as much as possible. Window of Opportunity I've been seeing this a lot lately in my own life as well as in others. When one is in a spiritual prison or even physical one, they miss these windows of opportunities. What is a window of opportunity? A window of opportunity is a short, often fleeting time period during which a rare and desired action can be taken. Once the window closes, the opportunity may never come again. Important points to look at so we understand the significance of not missing it. Point 1 – Short Point 2 – Rare Point 3 – Opportunity – desired action Bible reference to a window of opportunity: John 5:1-9 - For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water; whosever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. One can be in a prison so long that they become institutionalize and no longer think like a free person would. They will never see these windows or if they see it they don't even try anymore. No hope. In Christ there is hope: If we're in Christ we are free and no one can shut the door which God has opened Revelation 3:8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; There is hope – Jesus asked him “do you want to be made well?” The most important opportunity of one's life is this one....John 3:16 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life Opportunities: My flowers I picked in my backyard – rare because no flower pedal is the same Accepting Christ Obedient Pushing the button for the Podcast Stepping out in faith When you miss these opportunities – recognize, ask for forgiveness, repent and then start obeying. What is life…better yet, what is the life-giver trying to teach us? I believe He is trying to get our attention.
