Join East Coast DNA host Darcy Walsh for a chat with Dyson Knight, Baha Men lead singer, as he releases a solo single through NSCC's Music Business Program. At Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC), everyone in the Music Department is aware of a Bahamian student who has achieved international fame in the music industry. Dyson Knight, integral member of Grammy award-winning group Baha Men (memorable for their international hit single Who Let the Dogs Out?), is enrolled in the college's Music Production and Engineering program, and he is releasing his new single Feeling The Magic today. Knight ended up at NSCC due to a convergence of circumstances: “I went through a series of challenges post a near fatal car crash in 2021. I felt a strong need to reevaluate my life. One of the things I wanted to act on is my transition from being a frontline singer of Baha Men to taking a role as an engineer/producer/manager of the band. So, although daunting, I decided to move to Canada to study Music Production and Audio Engineering at NSCC in Dartmouth. I ultimately chose this school because it allows me to be with my older children who live in Halifax.” Knight has been mostly flying under the radar ever since he arrived in Canada, but that's about to change, as he is set to make waves with the release of his new single Feeling the Magic. This release came out of a contest held every year by the Music Department at NSCC. The Producer Challenge is a competition in which Music Production students are divided into teams tasked with writing and recording a song in one week. The songs are then evaluated and judged by a panel of local music industry people, and this year's first-place prize was to have the winning song be commercially released by NSCC's Music Business class. This Music Business program, offered at the Ivany Campus in Dartmouth, NS, is a graduate certificate program, led by industry veteran Evan Newman. It began last year, where the inaugural class launched the Lulo Music Group. The team of producers which included Knight won the contest with a song called Feeling the Magic. The song was written and sang by Dyson, and because the finished product was a collaborative effort among students, it nudged Knight to explore avenues a bit outside of the Caribbean pop that has mainly been his calling card so far. The result was Feeling The Magic, a change of style for Knight, but still a reflection of his continued dedication to creating captivating music. The song is an upbeat funk-disco track with an infectious bass line that will invite you to dance. It has an encouraging and optimistic message, and it evokes positivity and carefree energy. Feeling The Magic is out today. Anslem Douglas is a talented Grammy award winning musician, performer, composer, storyteller, songwriter and author. He gained widespread recognition for his hit single "Doggie," which later became popularized by the Bahamian junkanoo band Baha Men as "Who Let the Dogs Out." Born and raised in the vibrant village of La Romaine in southern Trinidad, Anslem developed a passion for music at a young age, honing his skills by singing in his local Pentecostal Church. Anslem has performed in front of receptive audiences worldwide such as: Canada, England, Israel, Sweden, The United States, Zimbabwe and Antigua. At the age of 16, Anslem formed a band called Exodus with some of his church friends. However, his musical journey took a slight detour when he enlisted in the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard in 1984, serving for six years. During his time in the Coast Guard, Anslem had the opportunity to perform with the Coast Guard band, further deepening his musical abilities. After leaving the Coast Guard, Anslem became acquainted with soca, Trinidad's native genre, and began performing with local bands such as Fire Flight and Atlantik. It was during this period that he composed several notable songs, as well as the Grammy-winning hit single "Who Let the Dogs Out?" while residing in Canada. Throughout his career, Anslem has showcased his versatility by venturing into various genres. In 2012, he released his self-written album "Project A.D.," a fusion of Neo soul and Pop, produced by Eddie Bullen and his son Quincy Bullen. In 2013 “Stick Fight', 2014 “Too Sweet”. He continued to release singles in subsequent years, including "Do You Think He Will Understand," a power Soca track, "Bacchanal," a neo-Calypso single, and "Dancing With You," a Classic 60s riddim collaboration with Lil Bitts. He's been working on an album which fuses R&B, Soul, Smooth Jazz and Pop, with 9 of the 11 tracks written by himself and produced by renowned Brazilian-American guitarist, Sandro Albert in NYC. With a rich musical background and a passion for making a difference through his music, Anslem (Dexter) Douglas continues to captivate audiences with his soulful compositions and powerful performances. Anslem's dedication to his craft has been recognized, with him winning the Best Caribbean Style Artist at the 2014 Black Canadian Awards. Importantly, he actively uses his music as a platform to raise awareness on social issues, exemplified by his single "Break That Cycle," which addresses the destructive impact of domestic violence on families and society as a whole. Anslem is constantly creating new music while writing. While working on his first children's book, The Adventures of Spin & Scratch - The Relocation (Author House Publishing, 2019), with The Cat-astrophe as the sequel, he also has four ongoing literary projects. Anslem is fusing R&B, Soul, Smooth Jazz and Pop with his music through -AD & The Band which begins touring the United States this year. All kinds of songs get stuck in your head. Famous pop tunes from when you were a kid, album cuts you've listened to over and over again. And then there's a category of memorable songs—the ones that we all just kind of know. Songs that somehow, without anyone's permission, sneak their way into the collective unconscious and are now just lingering there for eternity. There's one song that best exemplifies this phenomenon— "Who Let The Dogs Out" by the Baha Men.The story of how that song ended up stuck in all of our brains goes back decades and spans continents. It tells us something about inspiration, and how creativity spreads, and about whether an idea can ever really belong to just one person. Whomst Among Us Let the Dogs Out AGAIN

1994 brought us My Father the Hero, a really inappropriate movie about trying to make a hot guy jealous by pretending your father is your boyfriend, a movie plot that could only come from one place ... France! That's right - this American remake of Mon Pere Ce Heros - stars Gerard Depardieu, the Frenchman Du Jour of the 80s and 90s and Katherine Heigl, very pre Grey's Anatomy as she looks like a tiny baby! The plot is ridiculous but stay for the epic soundtrack by the Baha Men of Who Let The Dog's Out Fame (and we couldn't stop singing THAT all episode, let me tell you), Nikki's cute wardrobe and inside out French braid, and try to stop your brain from doing mental gymnastics wondering how a movie like this gets made! Guy incorrectly and unbeknowst to him, outed as a pedophile by his teenage daughter just so she can score a makeout sesh with a hot dude?! Cue the hilarity! Bonus - best thing we learned all week, The Baha Men are named the Baha Men because they are from the BAHA-mas! WHOA.

WHERE'S TRUMP'S DENIAL? A BLOCK (1:50) SPECIAL COMMENT: Everybody from Lindsey Graham to Marco Rubio to Kellyanne Conway attacked The Washington Post for reporting the FBI found a Top Secret document stashed at Mar-a-Lago "describing a foreign government's...nuclear capabilities." But who came out and said 'Nah, Trump DIDN'T DO IT?' Isn't ANYBODY going to deny it? (3:57) Even some nonsensical 'he did it to secure the documents' defense? No? Nothing? (4:24) Three DAYS before Nixon resigned, Congressman Chuck Wiggins was still insisting Nixon was innocent! Three days! NOBODY believes Trump DIDN'T do this! (6:00) Or is the "foreign government" really Israel and they're all too terrified to say anything? (6:25) But if it were Israel wouldn't Mitch McConnell throw Trump overboard to protect his own ass? (7:30) The other news: Steve Bannon Day. He says "they'll have to kill me first." Sounds like a plan. (7:42) Who is William S. Russell and why does the January 6 Grand Jury want to hear from him? (8:30) And yes, CNN led an hour last night pushing one of the 'The Real Crime Is The Leak' stories. The turning has begun. (11:00) When new CNN boss Chris Licht and I were together at MSNBC, I thought he ate glue (11:15) I've known Licht's first talent hire - Cop Apologist John Miller - since I worked with him in 1978! If you need a living symbol of CNN's coming conservatism, Miller is it. He's so bad that even New York Mayor Eric Adams (himself an ex-cop) apologized for him! B BLOCK (18:30) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DIE: Deserey, and a desperate need for fosters in NYC (20:55) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: The problem with Obama's portrait, comparative life expectancy, Oath Keepers in our midst. (22:55) IN SPORTS: The guy from the Minnesota Twins? His cousin wrote Hamilton; Jerry Seinfeld blames "Timmy Trumpet" for the Mets slide; MSG boss Jim Dolan steps in political crap yet again (28:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Fox News screwing up the bio of a founding father, Senator Ron Johnson, and Michigan's Kristina Karamo vie for honors. C BLOCK (32:10) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: The man I met on 9/11, who cheated death because the regular men's room attendant at a top New York City restaurant. It's the story of that sad anniversary, in miniature.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In my entire life..... there's only two things I've ever been emotional over…. One is the Three Doors Down song “Here Without You”........ and the other…. Is new game we play called “Guess It Or Mess It” Each host will have 30 seconds to guess a phrase using only 1 word clues given to you by their nutty buddy. After the time is up, you'll have one final guess, and if you're not exactly right..... you're getting shocked by a Baha Men brand sponsored Shock Collar. Today's Theme for Guess It or Mess It is…. Dave and Chuck the Freak talk about a listener that shared her experience with anal rejuvenation, Star Trek legend Nichelle Nichols passed away, Harry Styles signed a 5 movie deal with Marvel, a 27-year-old in Asia that can't find a job because he looks 12, a woman fighting a neighbors barking dogs by blasting Baha Men, a guy that swallows male doll heads for erotic pleasure, a chick that touched all the donuts in a bakery & punched a cop, an Alabama reporter was told her skirt was too short to be present for an execution, an OnlyFans model busted with sneaking cocaine in her bits, reading habits of USA, Applebee's is selling lip gloss that taste like chicken wings, dolphins are forming boybands to meet lady dolphins, Fancy Feast is launching a pop up restaurant with food inspired by their cat food, and more!
It's a freestyle episode, boys and girls! You know what that means: the Dragon's Milk is flowing, the tangents are plentiful, and Paul and Arlo just can't get enough Dick's. Now, now, get your mind out of the gutter–we're talking Dick's, the iconic Seattle burger chain. In addition to chowing down on their favorite regional burgers (Arlo shouts out Akron's very own Swenson's), the boys are very much on their bullshit throughout. Arlo recounts the entire A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, Paul experiences Stranger Things with a fella named Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Arlo gets progressively more inebriated. NEXT: welcome, travelers of the night, to another MCUTV installment with Hollywood wonder boy Michael Holland. This time, we're discussing Moon Knight. A limited number of reservations for this timeless experience will be bookable in the My Disney Experience app beginning June 28. Walk-in appointments will be accepted based on availability. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique was confirmed to be reopening later this year at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, but no specific dates have been provided. Source: Disney Parks Blog Story #2 Genie+ Changes at Walt Disney World In an announcement that Walt Disney World Resort will open bookings for theme park tickets, Disney Resort hotel stays and packages for visits in 2023 on June 8, a change to Genie+ was also mentioned. Starting June 8, Disney Genie+ will only be offered for purchase through the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit. Previously, Disney offered the option to purchase this service pre-arrival as a ticket add-on. This means that moving forward, whether you have an Annual Pass, multi- or single-day ticket, you may only purchase Disney Genie+ service on the day of your visit via the app, one day at a time, subject to availability. Disney hopes this adjustment will help manage the strong demand guests have shown for Disney Genie+. Disney stated, on average, guests who purchase Disney Genie+ service will continue to enter 2-3 attractions or experiences each day using the Lightning Lane entrance when the first selection is made early in the day. Any tickets already purchased that include Disney Genie+ service for dates later in 2022 will still be honored. Note this update is also only happening at Walt Disney World Resort and will not affect guests at Disneyland Resort. Disney also confirmed the early theme park entry benefit for Disney Resort hotel guests will continue beyond the 50th Anniversary for visits throughout all of 2023! This benefit gives Disney Resort guests an opportunity to enter ANY of the 4 Walt Disney World Resort theme parks to enjoy select attractions, shops, and dining EVERY day (valid admission, park reservation, and Resort ID required). Disney has now sold 293,818 points, or 16.5% of the 1,779,822 points that have been assigned to the 202 Resort Studios located in the Big Pine Key building. Disney's Riviera Resort — In April 2022, 93,218 points were sold for Riviera, the largest single-month sales since 153,416 points were sold in March 2020 at the cusp of the COVID-19 pandemic. Disney has sold 2,874,658 points, or 42.7%, of Riviera's 6.7 million points. The resort has averaged 78,190 points in monthly sales, which includes several months in 2020 when sales for all DVC resorts were severely impacted by the COVID pandemic. On April 15, 2022, Disney declared additional vacation homes for the DVC inventory at Riviera. 180 of Riviera's 341 vacation homes are now available for DVC members to book using points. The declared inventory accounts for about 3,605,940 points or 53.5% of the resort's total points. All three of the boys are back together this episode for some fun, while they watch a Atlanta Hawks playoff game (on mute). Some topics discussed this episode: getting a raise, who actually let the dogs out, Rugrats and other cartoons, celebrating 4/20, pizza (of course), nutrients, and much more. They answer some listener questions, and although they forget to do UGO, they make up for it with some Word Associations. Thank you all for listening, subscribing, downloading, and writing in. True love is worth the weight! Zach & Brandon take a look back at the 2001 romantic comedy fantasy Shallow Hal. Directed by the Farrelly Brothers, it paired Gwyneth Paltrow with Jack Black (in his first leading role) for a high concept love story about a guy who's hypnotized into seeing women's true inner beauty. More sentimental than the directors' previous efforts, it's a romcom that wears its heart on its sleeve but has taken heat in more recent years for some of its problematic subject matter. The boys attempt to wrap their heads around the confounding premise, Jason Alexander's horrific character, Paltrow's fat suit, and much more. Plus Zach learns the true meaning of the Baha Men's classic song 'Who Let the Dogs Out?'
