It was two and a half years ago, but I can still taste it—that mix of confusion, grief, fear, and exasperation from the job hunt after a layoff.I kept hearing the same things:“You're overqualified.”“You don't quite fit this role.”“Your resume doesn't really make sense.”Externally, I wanted to push back. But internally, I ingested a more dangerous thought: Maybe I don't make sense. After months of searching, I wasn't just frustrated. I was starting to question whether I had ever even had the value I thought I did.And I don't think this is just my story. We are living in a deeply strange moment in the world of work. And understatement, I know.We have more ways than ever to describe ourselves, and somehow, we're becoming harder to see. The systems we're operating in were never designed to hold the full complexity of a human being. So they flatten us. They reward what can be easily categorized. And they pass over what can't fit neatly into boxes. Over time, that oversimplification shapes who gets seen, who gets valued, and who gets to access power.Today's guest has been working on this exact problem for years. Dr. Sarabeth Berk Bickerton is a professional identity researcher and the leading expert on what she calls hybrid professionals—people whose careers don't fit neatly into a single box.In this conversation, we explore a radical and deeply hopeful idea: That your power doesn't come from fitting into the system. It comes from naming yourself. We talk about professional identity, belonging, the hidden cost of trying to “fit,” and what it means to be seen, known, and valued in a world that keeps trying to simplify you.Listen to the full episode to hear:How her personal pain point with feeling stuck in a box evolved into over a decade of research and a unique way of solving the problemWhy naming our unique professional identity is essential for owning your power and standing out against AIWhy we need to get clear on the language for the intersection of our skills, abilities, talentsThe three levels of belonging and how they impact how we feel seen and valued at workUnderstanding the three core identities and how they help us name who we are and how we can excel at workWhy it's essential to have a real, embodied connection with the words you choose to describe your professional identityLearn more about Dr. Sarabeth Berk Bickerton:More Than My TitleConnect on LinkedInInstagram: @morethanmytitleSubstack: @sarabethberkbickertonLearn more about Valerie Black:The Change AgencyBecoming Power NewsletterCoachingResources:More Than My Title: The Power of Hybrid Professionals in a Workforce of Experts and GeneralistsSeen, Known, Valued: How to Achieve Career Belonging in a Workforce Obsessed with Fit

Send a textIn this episode of Coffee Nº5, I sit down with Jennifer Bickerton and Lauren Kahn, Co-Founders of Intersection PR, to unpack the real state of PR in 2026—without buzzwords and without nostalgia.PR is no longer about isolated placements or one-off moments. It's about ecosystems. Marketing, digital, retail, Amazon, influencers, AI, and brand narrative now live in the same room whether brands like it or not. If one piece breaks, momentum breaks. We talk about what brands consistently misunderstand: influencer ROI, launch events that don't move the needle, why “just PR” doesn't exist anymore, and why communication across teams is now non-negotiable. We also dive into how AI is reshaping authority, discovery, and credibility—making long-term PR maintenance more important than ever. This episode is a grounded, honest look at PR as it actually works today—and why partnership, clarity, and integration matter more than hype. We'll talk about:Why PR in 2026 is an ecosystem—not a standalone functionThe myth of “just PR” and why siloed teams break brand momentumInfluencer ROI realities: affiliates, attribution, and what actually convertsLaunch events: when they work, when they don't, and why most failPR + AI: authority, citations, and why human voice still mattersFor more information, visit Lauren's LinkedIn and Instagram and Jennifer's LinkedIn and InstagramSubscribe to Lara's newsletter. Also, follow our host Lara Schmoisman on social media:Instagram: @laraschmoismanFacebook: @LaraSchmoismanSupport the show

It's time for episode 75 of the road.cc Podcast, a two-parter that is as chalk and cheese as we've ever recorded in cycling terms... but that's how we like it!Part 1 is all about folding bikes, and more specifically a fascinating chat with Mark Bickerton, whose father Harry invented arguably the first properly practical, lightweight folding bike in the early 70s. By the early 80s the Bickerton Portable was a big British success story, boosted by a certain low-budget TV ad that became embedded into the public consciousness for various reasons (listen to find out why!)While Bickerton isn't the folding force it once was, the brand name and bikes are still going strong, with Mark also now the main man in the UK behind the very popular urban bike brand Tern. The chat with road.cc editor Jack covers a brief history of Bickerton and folding bikes in general, what's going on with Bickerton and Tern today and Mark's take on these turbulent times for the bike industry. In part two, Ryan and Dan delve behind the scenes at last week's Paris-Roubaix, where Ryan was lucky enough to head over to northern France and hitch a lift in a team car. Up for discussion is whether the world champ Van der Poel's domination of the cobbled classics is ‘boring', British star Pfeiffer Georgi's hopes for the future, and the thrills and spills of watching a monument from the team car.During his time at the race, Ryan also caught up with 18-year-old Yorkshire-raised Irish rider Patrick Casey, who was making his debut at the Junior Paris-Roubaix for the Grenke-Auto Eder team. Casey's path to the pro ranks is somewhat different than other riders from these shores in the past, but the lessons he's already learned during his time in Europe – such as the folly of turning up with two right-hand track mitts to the hardest race of the year – are steadfastly old school…

The Surfer’s Journal presents Soundings with Jamie Brisick

Born in Barbados and raised between Hawaii and California, the late Ashley Bickerton was a surfer, thinker, and artist whose mixed-media practice explored themes of identity and meaning, often critiquing consumerism, modernity, and social communication. He achieved early success in New York in the 1980s, alongside the likes of Jeff Koons and Peter Halley. In 1993, Bickerton abandoned the New York scene to return to surfing in Bali, where exercised a devotion to left-handed barrels. He also found in Bali expression for his work, through an increasingly characteristic use of bright colors. In the wake of what would come to be a fatal ALS diagnosis, Bickerton, prior to his passing in November 2022, spoke with show host Jamie Brisick about love, his recent New York exhibitions, the value of resolution, the evolution of the art world's relationship to surfing, his art-making philosophy, and his biggest inspirations.

Today on the show I'm chatting with another amazing member of the BuildHer collective, Rachel Bikerton. Rachel has an extensive career from arts and drama through to real estate and since moving back to Australia, after working in New York, she has had incredible success with a number of seller JVs.  But, what in the world is a seller JV?  A seller JV is a joint venture with the owner of the property. They can be structured in many different ways depending on your style and skill and the owner's wishes and are a creative way of renovating for profit.   Let's explore the first seller JV Rachel did in Brisbane to understand the strategy. The owner's had the original property valued and Rachel then came in and spent $50,000 on a renovation, made the property look spectacular and used her real estate agent skills to market the property. The property then ended up selling for an extra $500,000! Rachel took back what she spent on the renovation and then her and the owners split the profit. The owners didn't have to invest any of their own money upfront or lift any fingers and they ended up walking away with an extra six figures in their bank.  Rachel shares her experience of seller JVs and how she structures them with the owners to make incredible profits. But, remember, you don't always know what you're walking into with older buildings so you have to be careful. Rachel shares her journey working in an older apartment building where there wasn't much room for profit and ended up having an expensive gas leak that needed to be repaired immediately.  Rachel is here to explain all of the ins and outs of seller JVs, how the market trends impact on the projects you choose, the importance of contracts and building trust with the owners and how it can be super profitable for both the owner and you.    LINKS: Buy our book: BuildHer, A practical guide to building and renovating BuildHer Website: https://buildhercollective.com.au/ BuildHer Instagram: @buildhercollective BuildHer Facebook: Women who Design, Decorate, Renovate & Build Register for a call: https://go.oncehub.com/BuildHer See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

William Bickerton was a coal miner from England who emigrated to the United States and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1845. Without ever having met the church's founding prophet, he soon came to see himself as Joseph Smith's true heir, leading what came to be called simply The Church of Jesus Christ, but more commonly referred to as the Bickertonites. Despite founding the third largest church tracing its lineage back to Joseph Smith, Bickerton's biographer Daniel P. Stone calls him a forgotten prophet—and he's not referring to the memories of members of the Salt Lake-based church. He says in many ways Bickerton has been forgotten in his own movement. About the Guest Daniel P. Stone holds BA and MA degrees in history from the University of Florida and Florida Atlantic University. He has taught classes at Broward College, Schoolcraft College, University of Detroit Mercy, and Wayne County Community College. Currently he is a researcher at a private library-archive in Detroit, where he and his wife Laura, and daughter, Lily, live. The Bickertonite movement continues many of the ecstatic religious experiences of the Kirtland Era.  Dr. Daniel Stone will tell us more about speaking in tongues.  Does it pre-date the modern Pentecostal Church movement?   We'll learn more about this in our final segment with Dr. Daniel Stone, check out our conversation… https://youtu.be/tn8Ffe8xb3s GT:        The other thing that I wanted to ask, was John [Hamer] said that Bickertonite meetings are very lively. Daniel:   Yes, they very much can be. GT:     In your book, there's a lot of speaking in tongues, and interpreting tongues. I was like, do they still do that today? Daniel:     Yes. Not like they did in Bickerton's day. I will say it has tampered down quite a bit, but we do still see it like with any charismatic gift. We also told a story that turns out not to be true regarding an Italian Book of Mormon story and Vinzenzo di Francesca.  (It was a fun story--I wish it was true!)  Here is the short part of the video describing Vincenzo's experience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hsF4fRzL44 I'd like to thank Daniel for talking with us.  Don't forget to buy his book!  Wikipedia has some interesting background, including his correspondence with Heber J. Alice Cooper was raised in the Bickertonite Church, and his grandfather was the president!  Alice Cooper's song, "No More Mr. Nice Guy might have a reference to his Bickertonite upbringing!  What else can Daniel tell us about Alice Cooper?  Did Mr. Smithie really punch him in the nose? https://youtu.be/fClNRep22iU Daniel:  We go to a friend, a family friend, between the both of us and we have dinner together and we're talking and my wife just out of the blue says, "Okay, let me ask you this, are you that Mr. Smithy in the Alice Cooper song that punches him in the nose?" And then Ike Smith's wife just burst out laughing and says either her or Bonnie, she says "That's where it comes from!" See, they didn't, as far as we know, they didn't know. Apparently people had been telling them that reference and they didn't really fully realize where it was coming from. So my wife is, I guess maybe it was the first bold one to flat out say, Hey, are you the guy that punched him in the nose? So go Laura! That was awesome of her. And he said, he goes, "Oh." He goes, "Oh my goodness. Oh Vinny." And he basically, or something like that, just very friendly and laughing. And he says, "Just for the record, I did not punch Vinny in the nose." So yeah. And I guess we have a friend that's a part of the Latter-day Saint movement. I had met him one time at a John Whitmer Historical conference. I forget his name. Really Nice Guy. Anyways, he knows Ike Smith as well. And his wife Bonnie. Anyways, he went to an Alice Cooper--I don't know if it was a meet and greet or a concert or something like that and they took a picture with Alice Cooper and he told him saying, "Hey, I know Ike Smith." And Alice said to him, "Tell Ike, Vinny said hi." So, there's a history between them and it's very possible. It's very possible that sarcastically, you'd have to ask Vincent Furnier himself. Here's the video of the song if you're interested! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KN6ngThqMEs We'll also talk about Bickertonite leadership.  Did they follow Brigham Young's pattern where the senior apostle becomes leader?  Is an apostle greater than a prophet? Daniel:  Bickerton is a prophet who are ordains apostles. So it shows, at least through history, and if you would to tie that in scripturally, Bickerton kind of acts in a way. I don't want to say he was Jesus, but he started a movement and restored the movement. Obviously if you're a Bickertonite, you have to believe that he had the power to do that and to ordain apostles. So, it's little interesting mental gymnastics that we play. GT: I just wonder if that's because the Cadman narrative is what won out, right? Daniel: Yeah, exactly. GT: So he would probably try to push prophets below apostles because he was an apostle and he wanted to be at the top of the church. Daniel: Oh for sure. GT: And so it sounded like... Daniel: And he could even been considered a prophet necessarily, but he still was an apostle and the president first. Yeah. GT: So, the president of the quorum of the Twelve--so you guys will follow the Brigham Young Movement in that the president of the Quorum of Twelve becomes the president of the church. Daniel: Exactly, Yep. Check out our conversation!  Here are our other conversations with Daniel!   Alice Cooper's grandfather was President of the Bickertonite Church! 204: Writing History Without Getting in Trouble (Stone) 203: Reuniting the Bickerton Break (Stone) 202: Ousting a Prophet (Stone) 201: False Prophecies Are Possible! (Stone) 200: Civil War Prophecy Leads to Black Ordination (Stone) 199: Biblical Support to Ordain Women (Stone) 198: Bickerton Becomes Prophet (Stone) 197: Sidney's Church Falls Apart (Stone) 196: Rigdon/Spalding Manuscript Theory (Stone)

Dr. Daniel Stone is the first person to write about William Bickerton, the first prophet of the Bickertonite Church.  Some LDS Scholars got in trouble for writing true, but unflattering history.  I'll ask Dr. Daniel Stone how he navigated those tricky waters in his church. https://youtu.be/gpsklYqEcgc Daniel:  I wrote a proposal to the church and to the church historian and to the Twelve asking that I can write an objective history and I specifically said that. I was approved to do that under the umbrella of the church because I don't think most of the people in the church actually knew.... I was able to get access to all these documents, which I think as far as I know no one has ever done before. So, it was really fun. I wrote the first five chapters of the book. I gave it to the church historian and the Twelve. They never gave me a clear answer as to yes or no. I will say I can kind of understand because as apostles or as leaders of the church, you as leadership of the church, none of them are historians, right? I am. The object of all has apostles in any one person of the Mormon movement is to promote faith, right? And history can sometimes be like that, so there might be some things. The big issue is the Cadman-Bickerton feud. They flat out said, I actually heard from a couple of them saying that's the big issue that they were afraid of is the Cadman-Bickerton feud. ... But what ended up happening was, is I just asked the general historian, I said, "Can I go independent with this?" He said yes. GT: Because originally you were going to have it published by the church. Daniel: Potentially. Yes. That was, that was what I had understood the agreement to be. And what ended up happening was there was some kind of miscommunication. I had a talk with some of the apostles and we basically came to the idea of this is a miscommunication. We never had you sign anything. So it's not like we can say don't publish it. And the Bickertonites to their credit are very democratic in a lot of senses. Even though some of the leadership does not support, I'm assuming, what I'm doing, my membership was never in danger. They might not necessarily agree with some of what I'm saying. And they flat out said, some of them had said, "We don't agree with some of your interpretations. We think you're speculative." My argument nicely is, "You have never read the documentation. I have." I'm not trying to be like, oh look at me, I know, but I'm just like, no, read the documents for yourself because nobody has ever really done this. And then we can have a discussion, but just to flat out say it's speculative. I'm like, well all history has that. My argument is, I have all footnotes. People can look at it, people can check my sources. No book is perfect, but I tried really hard. It really is a great book and I encourage you to buy it!  Check out the rest of our conversation, as well as our previous conversations with Daniel! Following a bitter schism, Dr. Daniel Stone tells how the two Bickertonite factions reunited.  It was interesting to find out how the LDS Church reacted when they learned of the Bickertonite schism. https://youtu.be/MNW2xqI9zq0   Daniel: John Taylor hears about the Bickertonites and hears about how they're split and basically sends missionaries down the line. They send missionaries to St John and to Pennsylvania to convert the Bickertonites, and they're very successful at doing that. I want to mind you. They convert a lot of Bickertonites. GT: Even though they are polygamists? Because John Taylor was definitely a polygamist. Daniel:  Yep! You have several of the missionaries going, both the Pennsylvania and going to Kansas convincing Bickertonites who were strongly opposed to polygamy, that polygamy was a true revelation. It goes to show you how you could have really staunch people. It goes to show you how bad the split really hurt the Bickertonite movement. They literally saw it in shambles. The split lasted 22 years.  How did they combine? Daniel:  William Bickerton is in his late eighties. William Bickerton knows that he's going to die soon. His brother had even died that I believe was younger than him, if I remember correctly. So, he sends a friendly face that was a member of Bickerton's schism, but then eventually joins Cadman. His name was Alexander Cherry and William Cadman sends Alexander Cherry to St. John, Kansas to talk with William Bickerton in his late eighties to say, okay, here are the terms. And it's a friendlier face than William Cadman, because William Cadman did meet with William Bickerton before that and they couldn't come to terms. So, Alexander Cherry presents William Bickerton with an offer. He says basically, "Listen. If you don't be a prophet anymore, don't recognize yourself as a prophet. You're not the leader of the church anymore, but you can still hold a priesthood position as an elder, we will bring all of your members in our church and we can all just join as one. Because both churches excommunicated each other. They basically said, "We'll forget that that even happened." And they basically said, "If you forgive us, we'll forgive you." That was the terms. And William Bickerton in his last to age had two choices. You could either die right, being not an adulterer in holding onto his pride and the church is split in two, or he could help the movement which was already happening and bring the church together and he chooses the latter. He says he steps down. He is no longer considered a prophet. He's considered an elder and the church comes back together. It's that easy. Nobody's rebaptized. It just comes back, and they basically forget everything, and he literally thinks the past is forgotten. Check out our other conversations with Daniel!  Comments? Following a 22 year schism, William Bickerton stepped down as leader and prophet to heal the Bickertonite schism in his church. 202: Ousting a Prophet (Stone) 201: False Prophecies Are Possible! (Stone) 200: Civil War Prophecy Leads to Black Ordination (Stone) 199: Biblical Support to Ordain Women (Stone) 198: Bickerton Becomes Prophet (Stone) 197: Sidney's Church Falls Apart (Stone) 196: Rigdon/Spalding Manuscript Theory (Stone)

William Bickerton eventually lost control of the church he started.  How did his apostles oust the prophet. Are there parallels with LDS Church succession? Dr. Daniel Stone tells us. https://youtu.be/P_GEVpDBPSg Daniel:  You basically had the Bickertonite group that is supporting Bickerton. The people that are detractors of Bickerton are excommunicating everybody from the Bickertonite group because they're saying, well, if you support Bickerton, you're an apostate. And then William Cadman actually held an ad hoc court within the community to prove that William Bickerton was an adulterer. He really believed the evidence. He acts as prosecutor for eight hours calling witnesses from the community and the jury is made up of all non-Bickertonites and he purposely did that to prove to the community once and for all. Because if he could get the community as a whole on his side, then he knows that the church can then continue forward and William Cadman will be the leader. He believes he will be the leader because he's the president of the Twelve. And what ends up happening is William Cadman does not get the verdict that he wants. I found it really interesting that the President of the Quorum of  Twelve took over leadership, just like Brigham Young did in the LDS Church.  Check out the conversation, and don't forget to check out our other segments with Daniel…. William Bickerton was accused of adultery and a faction in the east ousted him as leader. Following the collapse of Sidney Rigdon's church, people looked to William Bickerton to lead the flock.  Dr. Daniel Stone tells us more details about William Bickerton's prophetic vision and call to become prophet of a new church with a Book of Mormon foundation. https://youtu.be/etAjNpfVVp0 Daniel: [Bickerton] says that he was carried away in the spirit and placed on the highest mountain on the earth, he said. In one of the accounts it says that there was just room enough for him to stand on this mountain, and he's basically told and shown, "Here you are in this mountain. You're doing everything right." You kind of get the sense that he feels like God's telling him “You're on the right track.  Stay where you are. Keep going. Keep doing what you're doing, but if you leave this path that I've put you on, you're going to fall and tumble.” And William Bickerton sees this chasm below. And he says that the Lord told him if he didn't keep doing what he was doing, that he would fall into the chasm. And he said that the sight was awful at one part. In another account, he says that he would fall and be torn into bits. So, he saw and he felt that he didn't have any other choice other than to stay on this path because he didn't want to fall down that way. So, he starts preaching by himself. Check out our conversation, as well as our other conversations with Dr. Daniel Stone! William Bickerton had a vision of a chasm where God told him to lead a new church on the foundation of the Book of Mormon. 197: Sidney's Church Falls Apart 196: Rigdon/Spalding Manuscript Theory

Sidney Rigdon was a major impact on William Bickerton.  Dr. Daniel Stone talks about how Bickerton lost faith in Rigdon. https://youtu.be/mC9L7zFLeNk Daniel:  William Bickerton really had progressed, had become a major member of the Rigdonite movement, but didn't know Joseph Smith. So, he ends up leaving Sidney Rigdon's church pretty quickly. So, in June of 1845, William Bickerton joins. But then in August of 1845, Sidney Rigdon is kind of wanting to create another communal society because he wants to reenact the United Order. He was always into communal living. He was even into that when he was a Campbellite minister in Ohio when he met Joseph Smith. So, he wanted to kind of reenact that and he believes he's having revelations that they should build the new Jerusalem in the Cumberland Valley of Pennsylvania. So eventually they are having these revelations. He's presenting them to the church. And Sidney Rigdon had organized another School of the Prophets just like Joseph Smith had and William Bickerton as a member of that school, they are praying, and they read liberal arts, things like history, English, and this would have been really interesting to Bickerton because he was not well educated. He was a coal miner. So being able to be schooled and be able to talk with men that were learning as well, it would've probably been very interesting to him. And they're also learning the gifts of the spirit, how to be good ministers for the Gospel. So, William Bickerton says that as a member of the school, they're having revelations as members of the school of the prophets, that Sidney Rigdon is going astray. We also discuss Bickerton joining the LDS Church under Brigham Young for a short time! Daniel:  William Bickerton is a devout LDS Mormon. And when you read the minutes, it's quite interesting. I mean at one of the meetings that they have, he actually leads the vote to sustain Brigham Young and the Twelve in their offices. It's kind of a ceremonial thing because obviously they don't have power, but he's showing their support for them and he's a member of the LDS Church for 10 months. And so, when they start the West Elizabeth congregation, they appoint William Bickerton as the presiding elder and they go from nine members, by the end of 10 months they have 27 members. So, William Bickerton helps triple his congregation within less than a year. So, you know, he was busy preaching. And what ends up happening is why he ends up leaving Brigham Young is because in March of 1852, there is a meeting that is held for all the Mormons in the area in Allegheny City, Pennsylvania, which is now the north side of Pittsburgh. And in that meeting they're basically preparing the elders for the announcement that's going to come later in the year in August for plural marriage. And this is what makes William Bickerton's story so interesting. Don't forget to check out the Great Conflagration of Pittsburgh!  How did Sidney Rigdon react when the town was on fire?  Check out our conversation, as well as our previous conversation with Daniel! William Bickerton was baptized by Sidney Rigdon, but soon became disillusioned with Rigdon's leadership.

I'm excited to introduce Dr. Daniel Stone.  He has written the first biography of William Bickerton, Forgotten Latter Day Prophet.   William Bickerton was the prophet of the third largest Latter-Day Saint Church.  We'll get to know more about Daniel in just a moment. https://youtu.be/4bHu7YgIh54 Daniel:  I'm Daniel Stone and I'm the author of William Bickerton - Forgotten Latter-day Prophet. I'm a Ph.D. candidate studying American religious history at Manchester Metropolitan University in England and yes, I am a Bickertonite. ....after I graduated with my masters, I started writing the book and I ended up finishing the book and I wanted to go on for my Ph.D. and I kind of had this dilemma personally because I thought, should I write the book first and then go for my doctorate or should I get my doctorate and then write the book? Because usually the traditional path is to get the doctorate and write the book. But no one had ever written about William Bickerton. He is literally, it's so rare to find an American religion, a rock that has never been unturned. And that's William Bickerton. It's unbelievable because now he started the third largest Latter-day Saint Church in the world. It's called the Church of Jesus Christ. It's in 23 countries. There are about 23,000 members and very few people have ever written about him and there's never been one biography on him. So, I thought to myself, you know what? Let me try to write the book. I felt like I had a good enough grounding to do that. And then with the hopes of putting it out there and then maybe going for my doctorate because my fear was to get on a doctoral committee and I've heard horror stories sometimes we don't like certain people on your doctoral committee and they make you put things in your dissertation that you don't really want to do. So I didn't want to have to backtrack. So I thought, let me try to write a scholarly book. Thankfully Signature Books picked it up. They found it. I was only halfway through and they heard about it and they basically said, "Well, let's see the book when it's done." Thankfully there were no major corrections. They just passed it open hand and it was peer reviewed so it was great. So then what ended up happening is I applied to grad school and I wanted to find a good advisor and I like to focus on Mormonism but I like to focus on Millennialism too within the American context and there's a guy at Manchester Metropolitan named Andrew Crome who specifically focuses on Millennialism and he also does mostly English Millennialism, but he focuses with a little bit within America too. I'll told him about what I was interested in and told them about Bickerton. We will also talk about the Spalding Manuscript Theory. Daniel: They're somehow trying to connect Sidney Rigdon to Solomon Spalding because they're from the same area and they just, people just thought it was more than a coincidence that Sidney Rigdon all of a sudden meets Joseph Smith in Ohio and he's a Campbellite minister and that just so happens to believe in the gathering of Israel and communal living, you know, very similar. So, they're like, oh no, Sidney Rigdon helped write it because according to a lot of the theories before they ended up finding the Solomon Spalding manuscript, decades later, I think it was in the 20th century, they found it. A lot of people were saying, "Oh, I remember Solomon Spalding, the manuscript. He wrote this novel and it talks about people coming from Israel or from the Middle East to come over to the United States. I remember names like Lehi and Nephi.” You have all these people saying, "Oh, I remember these words that are in the Book of Mormon." Well, we find out later that that's not really the case. Solomon Spalding wrote this book. I believe it's about Romans that get knocked off course and eventually land in the New World. So it's kind of similar but not really. And Sidney Rigdon had nothing to do with the Spalding manuscript.
