So much has changed since then, and we got to hang out with Brian a few months after this interview, and he's as cool as expected. Great guy and I hope we can get him back on Dueling Decades one day as a judge! In this retro sitdown, the decadent boys of the stall delve deep into Brian O'Halloran! You may know Brian as Dante from Clerks, and 37 other Hicks characters from the View Askew universe! The Corona Virus means that we can't record our Venture Bros wrap up, which in turn means we can't quite get to our Frisky Dingo watch-through. Bummer, right? Well, not anymore, because we're making lemonade out of a virus and doing a series about a bunch of different cartoons while we wait for this whole mess to blow over. We're starting our "Corona Cartoons" with the Clerks animated series. Well, the first half at least.
At the age of five David got his first taste of film making at age nine, when he was an extra in Hero at Large, a John Ritter film directed by Martin Davidson. Throughout his teen years, he appeared in Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs and James Lemmo's Heart starring Brad Davis. Dave's recent work includes Emerging Past- a film he produced and in which he appears alongside his childhood idol, Stephen (Fright Night) Geoffreys, in a very funny scene. Mr. Hush, which he wrote, produced, and directed, has become a cult classic. It stars Brad Loree (Michael Myers in Halloween: Resurrection), Stephen Geoffreys (Fright Night, 976-EVIL), and Steve Dash (Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Part 2). Mr. Hush enjoyed a limited, US national theatrical run in NYC, LA, San Francisco, Atlanta, Dallas, northeastern PA, and Pittsburgh. It was released nationally on DVD and Blu-ray on August 7, 2012 and spent 6 weeks on Redbox's genre top 10 list. In 2012, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences requested a copy of the Mr. Hush script to be placed in the permanent core collection of the Margaret Herrick Library to be preserved forever. In 2014, Dave started a podcast/radio show titled The End of the Night. In his first 10 episodes, guests included Corey Feldman, Doug Bradley, David Naughton, Brian O'Halloran, Harrison Page, Tiffany Shepis, Fred "the Hammer" Williamson, G. Tom Mac, and Tony Moran, just to name a few. In November of 2015, Dave released his film Middle Village. Its theatrical debut was at the historic Cinemart Theater in Queens, New York. It has garnered Laurels from the Forwardian Film Festival, and has received overwhelmingly positive reviews. It was featured on whatchareading.com's list of the best films of 2015. The film features his dear friend, Brian O'Halloran (Clerks 1 & 2, Mallrats), Ray Abruzzo (Mad Men, Sopranos), Scott Schiaffo (Clerks) and WWE Superstar Gene Snisky. .

We're not even supposed to be here today! But we came in and sat down with Brian O'Halloran and Marilyn Ghigliotti, best known as Dante and Veronica in Kevin Smith's films. You'll learn everything you could want to know about Clerks, including why they had gum in the lock on the shutters, what the original ending was supposed to be, how shaving Brian's goatee makes him anonymous, and about Matt's tangential relationship to the movie. There's a million fine looking podcasts in the world. But they don't all bring you lasagna to work. Most of them just cheat on you. But not this one- that's why you need to listen to THE NIGHT TIME SHOW!

Dana goes toe to toe with Clerks star Brian O'Halloran... to disastrous results. Plus Guy Hutchinson tells the history of The Three Stooges and guests Su Yung, Leva Bates, Milo Beasley, Alex Chamberlin and Brian's beer assistant Sarah.
There's been quite a bit of activity since Brendan and Matt took a few weeks off to watch the World Series. The Red Sox have a new Chief Baseball Officer (basically a GM) in Chaim Bloom, a new GM (basically assistant GM) in Brian O'Halloran, a new pitching coach in Dave Bush, and a new lefty reliever in Josh Osich. They also have JD Martinez for another year. What does all this mean? And, what does it mean for Mookie Betts? Brendan and Matt dig into all of that, and it's a lot of digging. Then they play the Red Sox Coast To Coast 2019 Off-Season Prediction Contest! It's a ton of fun. [a quick note: we had to record this in a slightly different and lower tech way so hopefully the sound quality isn't too abhorrent. Even if it is, know that this should be temporary and hopefully a better sound is in the near future. Thanks] If you like the show, please subscribe! If you really like it, tell a friend about us, or consider going on Apple Podcast and giving us five stars. Most importantly, thanks for listening! We'll be back next week.

Clerks (1994) Dante (Brian O'Halloran) is called in to cover a shift at his New Jersey convenience store on his day off. His friend Randal (Jeff Anderson) helps him pass the time, neglecting his video-store customers next door to hang out in the Quick Stop. The uneventful day is disrupted by news that one of Dante's ex-girlfriends has died. After attending her memorial service, Dante muses over staying with current girlfriend Veronica (Marilyn Ghigliotti) or reuniting with ex Caitlin (Lisa Spoonhauer).
