Acclaimed comics writer J.M. DeMatteis (Justice League International, Kraven's Last Hunt, Moonshadow) is back to promote his new Kickstarter for the second issues of his DeMultiverse. The DeMultiverse is JM's independently produced comics, which include four titles: Layla in the Lands of After, art by Shawn McManus Anyman, art by David Baldeón Godsend, art by Scott Koblish Wisdom, art by Tom Mandrake Plus as a bonus an earlier project that had not been released: The Edward Gloom Mysteries, art by Vassilis Gogtzilas To donate to the Kickstarter and help issue 2 of these series come out, go here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/spellboundcomics/jm-dematteis-presents-the-demultiverse-phase-2-edward-gloom?ref=ksr_email_backer_backer_confirmation We go deep on each series to talk about his influences for each one. We get into the art styles of the many talented artists co-creating these stories. We talk about the promotion necessary to keep a Kickstarter going! We ask how JM stays so positive in an industry known to sometimes burn people out. We talk about letting the unconscious mind have time and space to generate ideas. We also sneak in a few quick questions about his past Marvel/DC titles too. JM is one of our favorite creators and people. 40+ years in the business and he's still as enthusiastic to discuss it as someone writing their first book. He's curious about new work and inspired by what came before. We love that he's co-producing his own books and hope you consider helping out! ----------------- Subscribe at screwitpodcasts.com to get our monthly bonus episodes. Thwip! Episode 165!? This week we are giving our thoughts on "Ben Reilly: Spider-Man (2022)", as well as going over some nerd news! Journey back in time to another sensational era of Spidey storytelling! In the proud tradition of SYMBIOTE SPIDER-MAN comes brand-new tale starring Peter Parker's clone Ben Reilly, set during his first stint as Spider-Man! When a mysterious figure from the past crawls his way back into Ben's life, does the foreboding Ravencroft Institute hold the key to their identity? And after five years lived on the road, followed by the madness of the Clone Saga, can Ben truly handle what it means to be Spider-Man? He'll have to learn quickly when he faces a gauntlet of his most fearsome foes! Legendary scribe J.M. DeMatteis and kinetic artist David Baldeón return readers to a tumultuous time in comic books - when Ben Reilly, not Peter Parker, was the one true Spider-Man!
Drew Edwards joined Justin and Paul to chat about creating the Halloween Man comics. Enjoy! https://www.facebook.com/halloweenmancomic/ https://twitter.com/halloweenmancom What is Halloween Man? Here you go! Murdered by a monster on Halloween night, Solomon Hitch was resurrected to fight back against the darkness as Halloween Man! Superdeformed includes some of the best loved tales from the popular webcomic. Includes art by Nicola Scott (Secret Six, Birds of Prey), Benjamin Hall (Dead@17: Protectorate) and David Baldeón (Nomad: Girl Without A World). Halloween Man is a 21st Century Beauty and the Beast story that brings together the most amazing aspects of horror, superheroes, and science fiction. Meet Solomon Hitch, the Halloween Man himself – a misunderstood monster with the power of the horror movie sequel, a heart of gold, and a taste for living flesh – and his lady love Lucy Chaplin, the world's most glamorous mad scientist. With his friends by his side, he just might smash evil, save the world – and maybe even save his soul!
In Episode 40 of CEREBRO, Connor and writer and editor Steve Foxe (Spider-Ham, Cheater Code, Razorblades, The Department of Truth) fly into the fairy kingdom of Alfheim with Jean-Paul Beaubier, the nimble Northstar! The first confirmed gay superhero at Marvel Comics, Jean-Paul originated as a member of Alpha Flight, but became an X-Men mainstay under writer Chuck Austen. His 2012 same-sex wedding made headlines, but in the time since, this shining star has struggled to find his light. He is the co-lead of X-Factor volume 4 by Leah Williams and David Baldeón. The CEREBRO character file on Northstar begins at 1:42:46. (Content Advisory: Jean-Paul's story includes homophobia, ableism against his sister, a suicide attempt by another character, mind control, and brainwashing. His backstory is tied to the violent Quebecois separatist movement of the 1970s.)

In this week's episode, a listener asks us if we agree that X-Factor is the gayest thing to come out of the Big 2 and we get into the nature of superlatives. We also discuss Northstar, Prodigy, Akihiro, Polaris, Rachel Summers, Eye-Boy, Aurora, and all the shenanigans they get up to in X-Factor, written by Leah Williams, art by David Baldeón, colors by Israel Silva, letters by Joe Caramagna. The Comic of the Week is: When I Arrived at the Castle by Emily Carroll.Emily Carrol does some of the best horror comics.

PODCAST RECOPILADO, EMITIDO ORIGINALMENTE POR: QUE NO CUNDA EL PÁNICO EN: https://www.spreaker.com/user/emtuzzi/interpodcast2016-perdidos-en-el-panico¿Qué pasa, Panikers? ¡A follar!Escucha QUE NO CUNDA EL PÁNICO en: https://www.spreaker.com/show/que-no-cunda-el-panicoEscucha Perdidos en el Éter en: http://mx.ivoox.com/es/podcast-perdidos-en-el-eter_sq_f122539_1.html
¡Episodio Especial!

In Episode 62 of CEREBRO, Connor and X of Words host Ash Alleyne expand their minds with David Alleyne (no relation), the perceptive Prodigy! One of the rare Academy X students to transcend his cohort, David was the most prominent depowered character after the Decimation, especially after a memorable turn in Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie's Young Avengers. More recently he starred in Leah Williams and David Baldeón's X-Factor, where he employed his restored mutant power in the service of the mutant nation Krakoa. The CEREBRO character file on Prodigy begins at 56:59.(Content Advisory: David's story includes racism and sexual violence. This episode discusses real world violence against Black queer men.)Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands
