He is responsible for concepting and developing innovation platforms including Radio Control. Julian designed Hot Wheels diecast in the UK before relocating to the USA in 2000. There he worked in the NJ Matchbox office on playsets and then El Segundo head office on feature innovation. Julian previously worked for NAD Associates – a design consultancy in London. While there, he was project manager and lead designer. He developed the design language which continues today in the Wow Toy line of preschool toys. Brands that Julian has designed for include - Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Virgin Atlantic, Action Man, Playskool, Brio, Early Learning Centre, and Wow Toys. He has travelled extensively across Asia and Europe to visit partners and manufacturing facilities to understand firsthand the problems that require solutions.
