Danes je zadnji dan, ko lahko stanovalci domov za starejše oddajo soglasje za prevedbo v nov sistem dolgotrajne oskrbe. S ponedeljkom namreč začenja veljati pravica do dolgotrajne oskrbe v domovih. Domovi za starejše soglasja oddajajo na vstopno točko na Center za socialno delo Ljubljana, kjer bodo izvedli prevedbo za vseh skoraj 20 tisoč stanovalcev domov. Natančnih podatkov, koliko so jih prejeli, še nimajo, saj soglasja prihajajo ves čas. Menijo pa, da jih je več kot 17 tisoč in da se bo večina odločila za prevedbo v nov sistem. Natan Gipsman (died the night of September 10th, 2025, age 100) - born in Hindenburg (Upper Silesia, Prussia), Germany (now Zabrze, Poland), he was confined in the Będzin (Yiddish: בענדין) Ghetto and survived six concentration camps, including Buchenwald. Veliki pohod je eden od številnih filmov, ki so adaptacije romanov klasika žanra grozljivke Stephena Kinga. Ni nenavadno, da ga je režiral Francis Lawrence, režiser Iger prestola, ki sodijo v enak žanr. Film je postavljen v distopično avtoritarno Ameriko srede dvajsetega stoletja. Natančneje, v prepoznavno južnjaško pokrajino. ZDA so že dolgo časa v krizi. Zato vsako leto organizirajo tekmovanje, na katerem tekmujejo mladi moški oziroma fantje, tekmovanje v hoji. Prenos tekme vsako leto dvigne produktivnost in prispeva k rasti BDP. Pravila so preprosta: ves čas je treba ohranjati hitrost petih kilometrov na uro, ob vsakem zaostanku ali spremembi smeri hoje tekmovalec dobi določeno število opozoril, potem pa ga ustrelijo. Zmaga tisti, ki ostane najdlje. A če bi film gledali zgolj v luči avtoritarizma, bi mu naredili krivico. Literarna predloga je iz leta 1979, iz obdobja, ko se je zagnal neoliberalni cikel kapitalizma. Prijava na tekmovanje je prostovoljna, vendar se nanj prijavijo skoraj vsi fantje v generaciji. Demokracija ne vodi v svobodo, temveč v potrjevanje uradne ideologije. Tekmovanje je dogma in tekma, ki je prispodoba tržne tekme, določa vse odnose med tekmovalci, tudi prijateljske. V ospredju je odnos med svetlopoltim Cooperjem Hofferjem in temnopoltim Davidom Jonssonom. Vendar barva njune kože ni relevantna. Pomembno je le, da sta tekmovalca oziroma, v alegorični interpretaciji, delavca. Gre za železne zakone tekme oziroma trga, za hladno objektivnost. Sodelujejo pripadniki različnih ameriških »ras«. Filmu uspeva potujitev resničnosti prek spretnega odmerjanja novih informacij. Kar se na začetku zdi dokaj normalno, a malo srhljivo, se kasneje začne razkrivati kot popolnoma iracionalno in okrutno. Z učinkom šoka, značilnega za Kingovo pripovedništvo, nas film zbuja iz lastne ideologije. Vizualno je minimalističen in še posebej privlačen za slovenske gledalce. Zeleno ruralno okolje spominja na slovensko pokrajino in vzbuja aluzije na lastno kulturo pohodništva. Tudi ko karavana končno prispe v mesto, je to majhno, dokaj pusto in z evropsko arhitekturo. Ob poti pa so v obliki krajev in ljudi izpostavljeni simboli ameriškega popkulturnega imaginarija, ki predstavljajo njeno srhljivo zgodovino. Če trg določa vse medčloveške odnose, določa tudi njihov odnos do lepega in plemenitega, pa tudi izražanje altruizma ali sociopatije in upora. Gre za izvrstno študijo karakterjev in odpiranje bistvenih vprašanj eksistence prek historičnega pogleda. Omogočili so jo tudi mladi igralci, ki so svoje vloge odigrali prepričljivo. In kljub vsej distopičnosti bodo lahko pozorni gledalci v njem odkrili svetlo revolucionarno sporočilo s pomembnim obratom za naš čas.

(Amsal 3:12)Renungan: Orang tua di dunia ini tidak satupun yang menginginkan anak-anaknya menjadi orang yang gagal atau menderita di kemudian hari. Semuanya berharap anak-anaknya menjadi orang yang berhasil dalam studi, karir dan juga rumah tangga. Itulah sebabnya orang tua selalu berusaha memberikan yang terbaik bagi anak-anaknya, bahkan mereka pun rela mengorbankan apa saja demi anak. Kasih, perhatian, perlindungan dan terkadang juga teguran diberikan orang tua kepada anak. Dalam kehidupan rohani, Tuhan pun bertindak demikian. Di satu sisi Tuhan senantiasa melimpahkan kasih, kemurahan, pemeliharaan, penyertaan dan pertolongan kepada kita; di sisi lain Dia juga akan memberikan teguran atau hajaran kepada kita bila kita melakukan pelanggaran atau dosa di hadapan-Nya. Tujuan teguran itu adalah agar kita menjadi jera dan tidak lagi mengulangi kesalahan sehingga kita dapat bertumbuh ke arah yang benar sesuai dengan kehendak-Nya. Teguran Tuhan kepada kita terkadang dapat berupa masalah atau persoalan: sakit penyakit, krisis keuangan, masalah keluarga dan sebagainya. Tuhan mengizinkan hal itu terjadi agar kita segera menyadari kesalahan dan berbalik ke jalan-Nya yang benar. Oleh karena itu, "...janganlah engkau menolak didikan Tuhan dan janganlah engkau bosan akan peringatanNya." (Amsal 3:11). Daud pernah melakukan pelanggaran besar di hadapan Tuhan. Ia berzinah dengan Batsyeba. Kemudian Tuhan memakai Natan untuk menegur Daud. Akhirnya Daud pun menyesal dan bertobat. Natanpun berkata kepada Daud: "Tuhan telah menjauhkan dosamu itu: engkau tidak akan mati. Walaupun demikian, karena engkau dengan perbuatan ini telah sangat menistai Tuhan, pastilah anak yang lahir bagimu itu akan mati." (2 Samuel 12:13-14). Kunci utama ketika kita menerima teguran dari Tuhan adalah bertobat. Pengakuan diri bahwa kita telah melakukan dosa di hadapan Tuhan itu sangat penting, dan itu adalah kunci untuk mengalami pemulihan dan berkat dari Tuhan. Jadi bila kita mendapat teguran dari Tuhan, jangan menjadi kecewa atau marah. Ini artinya Tuhan sangat mengasihi kita, "Jika kamu harus menanggung ganjaran: Allah memperlakukan kamu sebagai anak. Di manakah terdapat anak yang tidak dihajar oleh ayahnya?" (Ibrani 12:7). Tuhan Yesus memberkati.Doa:Tuhan Yesus, terima kasih atas peristiwa-peristiwa yang terjadi dalam hidupku, baik yang menyenangkan maupun yang menyedihkan. Ze tekende zijn verzwegen levensverhaal op in het boek ‘Vader zoeken' en is te gast.  (13:47) Marianne reist naar New Orleans, waar de reünie van de laatste Iwo Jima veteranen plaatsvindt. Ze spreekt af met twee stokoude mariniers, in een poging dichter bij de oorlogservaring van haar opa te komen. De mannen vertellen emotioneel over de gruwelen die ze hebben meegemaakt. Marianne toont hen ook de foto's van de Amerikaanse soldaten in de Japanse bordelen. Hoe reageren ze daarop? En zou Bruce de foto's hebben verstopt voor het leger, om censuur te voorkomen?  Operatie onthechting  Kunstenaar Marianne Ingleby erft het fotoarchief van haar opa Bruce Elkus, Amerikaans legerfotograaf. De foto's blijken destijds nooit gepubliceerd: te ontluisterend. Liever keek men naar de wereldberoemde heroïsche foto 'Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima', hét symbool van de Amerikaanse overwinning in de Pacific.  Marianne blijkt goud in handen te hebben met het zeldzame foto-archief. Ze is benieuwd naar de ervaringen van haar eigenzinnige opa, die naast honderden foto's ook aangrijpende brieven vanaf het front naliet. Wat heeft hij meegemaakt aan het front? Waarom maakte hij foto's buiten zijn opdracht? Welke herinneringen roepen ze op bij de Amerikaanse veteranen? One evening, two weeks ago, Natan Mwanza was stabbed and killed at a bus stop in Melbourne’s south-west. He was 24 years old. Natan’s family had migrated to Australia from the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2008, and his death sparked an outpouring of grief from African diasporic communities in Australia. Historian and filmmaker Santilla Chingaipe also felt the impact of Natan’s death and sought to understand what had happened. But it soon became a story about how we write and report on crime – and how Black lives are treated in the media.
